Guys, don't upgrade to Talkcoin V2. What for ?
We have original Dev - Talkcoin. He's alive and don't leave his project "Talkcoin".
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=265152;sa=showPosts
Djm34 and others members of unofficial team decided to takeover talkcoin because they think that original Dev is thief. But there is no proof.
Have you asked the community when you decided this ? Did you make a vote ? Who needs your updates and your new team ?

MaxOnBit could you please take time to read my analysis? I'm not in the team but I prefer the truth.

Hey guys, back here in burst forum again, hope you all doing good.  Smiley
Just a quick question, is it still possible to find solo blocks on 2 TB plot? If yes then how often are you guys finding blocks? I left for a while and not sure whats going on here now. Thanks in advance for helping out.

Diff is over 3 Peta now. It's hard to get a share at pool even if with my 20TB. The day of free money is almost over LOL
843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Talkcoin*Taken over by community*new features*open source*fair*transparent on: September 04, 2014, 02:22:28 PM
when the coin is taken over by someone else then the time of the coin starts towards devaluation.
they just want make some money with the taking over.
doing all this because you are jealous for not being on the new team, is kind of sad
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=619210.msg8596741#msg8596741

So if you think we just want to make money, why did you wanted to join us ? Grin

lets me answer for you: because you wanted to make money and basically you don't care about the coin future
and are only interested in your own profit. Kinda sad...  Grin
sorry djm34,I am deceived by you guys at that time.
you see ,your eld brother talkteam asked me to join your team by pm,but now,but I am wake up,and I found out your attempt,of course I will stand up against you ,a group of thieves,are you disappointed? you must be very afraid for sth.
Can you prove it ?

There's no way he can prove it, djm34.
I think he got bribe from the old dev to spam the BCT forum till we are all tired. LOL
844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Talkcoin*Taken over by community*new features*open source*fair*transparent on: September 04, 2014, 02:14:14 PM
Part of my analysis with the code of the old dev. If you still want to support him, feel free to do it. There are actually more hidden intentions in his code, but I will leave it as a surprise.

- votedev could vote to 100% from the start
https://github.com/talkcoin/talkcoin-wallet/blob/8c71e9971a6ca478f2cf8f97e95d08cf47183b76/src/rpcwallet.cpp
Quote
   if (fHelp || params.size() != 1)
        throw runtime_error(
            "votedev <amount per cent>\n"
            "Percentage to be given to developers 0-100");

    if (nSubsidy <= 0)
        throw JSONRPCError(RPC_CLIENT_NOT_CONNECTED, "Invalid Subsidy");

    if (!(params[0].get_real() >= 0 && params[0].get_real() <=100))
        throw JSONRPCError(RPC_INVALID_PARAMETER, "Invalid Percentage");

    int64 nVote2 = nSubsidy * params[0].get_real() / 100;
- after secretly acquiring a lot of TAC without saying anyone (up to more than 30% in one voting period) and being scared of found out due to the block explorer available, he changed to 10% with version 1.1
https://github.com/talkcoin/talkcoin-wallet/blob/2dd6630c5bbda9d1c6559e8f8b696230961a8ae0/src/rpcwallet.cpp

- he changed again to 5% with version 1.3
https://github.com/talkcoin/talkcoin-wallet/blob/3eea265abdc6f7374ce198a258e72c3172e8fbe1/src/rpcwallet.cpp

Actually the fee stays at 3.9% for the whole time after we paid attention to this matter, it's never 3%.
The dev fee is since new voting period (last week) 0.82/16.90 = 4.85%.
You cry about 3% paid for the whole team while ignoring about almost 5% for one person?

the old dev have admit the truth and he is going to change the code,there will be a more clean wallet ,it will be acceptable with 1% paid for the dev team.
you see ,the new team have made a v2 version with 3% fee ,it is too high,isn't it.and others hidden in the new wallet.

How could you believe in him when after the truth came out to light, he votes for himself higher from 3% to almost 5% now. I'm pretty sure that no one votes for the dev higher than 3% except himself.
And what is hidden in the new wallet, could you show your proof ?
With 1% of 48M TAC = 480k TAC in 5 years, how could you expect that a group of 7,8 people working for you with kind of fund  in the next 5 years?

EDIT: Sorry with 9M TAC already available, the total fund for new development team would be 390K TAC in 5 years only.

I will follow this
Quote
Once we stop this hardfork (community agreeing of course!), the dev has agreed to continue development as usual. (this is “Talkcoin” rather than “TalkTeam”)
If you guys agree with not letting these guys take our coin, I would like you to say so. We will then contact the exchanges and pools to make sure they're using the official code and this crap should all be over.

contact the exchanges and pools asap
my suggestion:We will choose the best wallet version rather than a team.

BTW:the new v2 wallet have a 3% tax fee and the coins used on chatting in the walllet will send to them too?it's not a good sight.they will pump the coins of course.

Of course ,I will write to the  exchanges and pools to prevent them accept the v2 version.
and,anyone post the email of those  exchanges and pools ? thanks.

Thank-you, this is the contact details of the exchanges and pools. Two of them I don't have email of so you'll have to send a msg on bitcointalk.

If you concern about the 3% of new team, read this.
The dev fee is since new voting period (last week) 0.82/16.90 = 4.85%.
You cry about 3% paid for the whole team while ignoring about almost 5% for one person. It's hilarious.

You need to stop making out that we are a sinister bunch of people.

The original dev had already said to Andy "All features complete, no more development", Andy (Talkteam) didn't hear from the dev for about a month after that.

I also had a few interesting conversations with the original dev, which left me with an uneasy feeling.

An independent code review was done and well, you know the rest.

We discussed long and hard about reducing the block reward, however we have already tried this in the past and miners left us in large quantities, it's not in the best interests of the coin long term.  This has been proven.

Ignore that guy at best, Chris. He showed his support towards the team with the new update
Thanks for the update, its great to see the coin being taken over and looked after and I’m sure everyone appreciates your effort.

Then he pissed off because the block reward doesn't work the way he wants to, so he posts a lot of shits.
k-meister if you take so much time to research about Talkcoin, why don't you pay attention to this:

848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Jesse Livermore: Whale Watcher on: September 04, 2014, 07:13:16 AM
Introducing the JLTradingCoin on ClearingHouse (clearwallet.co).

I have created a ClearingHouse token with 100,000 total tokens and put 50,000 of them on the ClearingHouse Exchange. I will start the exchange rate at 1 VIAcoin for 1 JL coin. Going forward though I believe I will have to set the NAV based on each days asset appreciation and depreciation.
To purchase JLTRADINGCOIN's you first buy some VIA coin at Bittrex or Poloniex and then transfer into the clearwallet.co ClearingHouse site address. From there you just purchase as much JLTRADINGCOIN as you wish (at first I will stress that you should only send a minimal amount because I am going to figure out the best way of doing distributions, withdrawals and deposits) and I'll do a daily sweep of new buys and try to do a twice-weekly sweep of any JLTRADINGCOIN token sell orders.
My plan for now is to do a bi-weekly distribution of profits. All you have to do is hold JLTRADINGCOIN and the ClearingHouse system will automatically distribute VIAcoin to your address.

You Must Agree to these Risks before purchasing JLTRADINGCOIN:
1) This trading plan could absolutely fail and your principal could be lost. I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY AN AMOUNT THAT YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE. I will not run off with your coins but I make no guarantee that I will be successful at this endeavor.
2) Due to the conversion to VIAcoin that is required, this endeavor is reliant upon the VIAcoin exchange rate staying steady.
3) I make no guarantees of performance whatsoever. Past performance is not a guarantee of future success. Do not forget that.
4) If something happens to me or incapacitates me I will be unable to purchase back anyone's JLTRADINGCOIN's if they want to withdraw. Additionally, I may be unable to do daily sweeps of any new buys. Additionally, if something severe happens I do not currently have a back-up plan yet in place. I will work on educating a family member of mine who is also heavily-invested in Bitcoin though, so he knows how to access my ClearingHouse account to perform any withdrawals.
5) I am not a financial advisor and make no claims as such. This topic on bitcointalk was solely made for educating and this JLTRADINGCOIN is solely an experiment in connecting a coin to trading activity.
6) I hate to do this one, but you must essentially think of this coin right now as a donation to me. Again, I will not run off with your coins (I am in fact in the process of pursuing someone who did run off with many of my Darkcoins, re: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=626715.0;all) but to make this 'legal' I must insist that you treat this as a donation to me and I will treat any distribution and withdrawal back to you also as a donation to you. Having said that I hope you understand how much I do not want people to purchase large amounts of JLTRADINGCOIN right now. This is a fun and interesting experiment which one day could be huge!
7) I will post all trades after the fact now as soon as JLTRADINGCOIN's get bought.

Here we go!

JL

Edit: I will give the VIA coin address tomorrow where any purchased JL tokens go to. Additionally I will outline my fee for ''managing " and other things I forgot to mention above.

Right after I sold all of my VIA? Sad Any chance of joining in with other coin, DRK for example ? Thanks JL in advance.

Any info about the stratum Implementations? Probably a few Tips are enough... Still interested in setting up a pool for this
5 BTC

Why not cooperate and share profit instead of naming a (high) btc price?

I mean, lucazane evidently can't generate hardly any traffic to his pool while ocminer's good reputation certainly would move miners from 1gh.

Althouth they do a great job, the dominance of 1gh is real bad for the network and get suprnova in would be great.

I'd be glad to pay a reasonable price for the (piece of) code, but 5 BTC is just faaaar out of scope Smiley

I've sent lucazane a PM and really hope we can work things out, I'll surely keep you informed if we can work together and give proper credits.

And as a sidenode.. I'm really interested in what I was missing when I tried to (re-) code the stratum for that..

Anyway, thanks for your trust, hope to see you soon.

What is the problem?

He's probably not interested to share, I did not get any reply at all :-(

If he's that selfish I will stop mining at his pool. You have my full support ocminer.

Honestly i have a good 50 or 60TB worth of empty drives sitting about, if its good to mine i may try it.
I think it will be more profitable over time as some plots that are generated at the start may be wanted much later on, unless i'm understanding it wrong

and SSD's are only limited by their writing life, which is pretty long

3TB = 5k burst, your 60 will do 100k day(right now) = 0.7 btc daily

If he can make a GPU miner to plot , i guess it could be 7 BTC per day for a while

why? he can just make plot faster, the the paid amount would be the same, he always mine with hdd not gpu

i am guessing faster plot = more payout = more btc ?

yeah but it's still 0.7 daily(with 60), you just make them early, without waiting so long for the cpu miner to finish

u mean the payout is fix no mater how fast the plot ? is it something like 1 x CPU and 100 x CPU will get the same number of coins per day with same HDD size ? i don't full understand how it works

if so, that means its paying based on space per day

basically it's like this:

you need to fill your terabyte first before mining, your space is your hashpower, but they must be filled completely if you want to use them all, the gpu miner only fill those tera faster, so you can mine early with all your power(in terabyte)

it's like a car and her gasoline, the more gas you have(terabyte) the more km you will do(coin mined), but you need to fill your call with it first, and this process take too much time with cpu, this is why we need a gpu "plotter"
First of, I must say that I have no interest in this coin so I didn't look much into detail...
But unless I am totally mistaken, gpu's never write directly to hdd...
Gpu usually does its his work transmit what it has done to the cpu who would eventually write to hdd. So if on burst the whole thing is just "writing to the disk" well this isn't a gpu thing at all...

You want to improve your perf on Burst: Better cpu, Better Mobo with more SataIII and better HDD supporting high speed transfer... for the rest...
So you need to build a disk server which can be access by many cpu at a time: means huge amount of memory for buffering and fast drive, fast cpu...

(at that level, I think you can do that as well on aws)

you may be like you have said, but the process can be speeded up with a c code instead of java

Faster plotter in C is available weeks ago. Wink

and still no source for windows lol

You're absolutely correct djm. BURST doesn't need GPU plotter.

yeah but it's still 0.7 daily(with 60), you just make them early, without waiting so long for the cpu miner to finish

This profit won't held long anymore after you posted this info here, mate. There are a lot of big guys watching this thread LOL. I think that they are watching your posts too, so be careful LOL.

mmh you may be right, everytime i find a good coin with good profit and spread the info, it become unprofitable few days after this, i should stop spreading those type of info lol

inb4 mega china tera farm

Yes so it is Mr. Hero Member. BURST reached 1200 sat yesterday and after you spread the info, it's now 700 sat. Do you think it's not related ? I doubt LOL.
Btw concerning the GPU plotter, even if it reaches the maximum speed, we should take the speed bottleneck of current HDD (not SSD) in calculation:
- Assume the write speed of current HDD generation is around 150MB/s, so you still need 3TB/150MB/60(s/m)/60m = 5.5 hours for filling 3TB disk
- A good CPU could fill 5000 nounces/min -> the speed is around 5000*256KB / 60(s/m) = 21MB/s, so you need roughly 40 hours for filling 3TB disk with a good CPU.

I don't think it's that bad for CPU. If GPU plotter is out, you could expect massive diff increasing and  massive dump too.

3TB = 5k burst, your 60 will do 100k day(right now) = 0.7 btc daily

If he can make a GPU miner to plot , i guess it could be 7 BTC per day for a while

i think most people still doing solo mining. 2 pools has only 250 miner.

Here I am!

But it's very hard to find a block..  Sad

well one block is 0.1 btc, it must be hard, btw how many TB do you have?

6TB! Not enough! xD

How about solo mine with 5 * 3TB HDD's ?

would be really profitable, i'm planning to do it, but i need 32gb, fuck

1 3TB should mine 1 block daily, this mean 0.5 daily with 5 of those with 30w lol, fucking profitable!

Everywhere this Amph dude goes, it will become soon unprofitable LOL

Let's clear some things up, shall we?

In the most technical of terms, TAC was not a scam. It was laid out in the original thread AND the white paper that the dev would be receiving donations. HOWEVER, due to lack of consistency in the relay of information, the vast majority were unaware of what was actually happening and subsequently, unfortunate events ensued.

Now, an entirely new team has taken over and will be managing TAC. If you still think it is a scam, it is due to your own ignorance.

Regarding DCN, if you think it is appropriate to make that correlation, Dilution, well, by all means, please go ahead. Your loss due to your own naivety and quite possibly one of the most ludicrous arguments I've witnessed.

+1
I think we should be more tolerant towards these trolls concerning their limited understanding of English. They couldn't read and write well. Ignore them is the best I can think of.

Was sind denn die Besonderheiten bei BURST?

NXT-based mit neuen Mining-Methode. Du brauchst kein CPU and GPU dafür, nur Festplatten reicht. Sehr Energie-freundlich Wink

The author of DCN has joined Talkcoin team.
Talkcoin is proved to a scam. Grin

Could you prove me that Talkcoin is a scam with your 2. grade English please?
Well the Chinese trolls are everywhere these days, all with newbie account. Sometimes I become sick just because of reading their comments.

I don't understand what is doing the whale on c-cex.
He put his 28-30 btc on buy support first at 500 sat, then at 700 sat, now back to 328 sat.
Maybe pushing the price a little before sell millions burst togheter?

Or just want to make burst price higher to a new level?

Till now seems just manipulation. Buy support that appear and disappear.

We will see....

He wants to scare kids into dumping it before Bittrex adds BURST

RichieLai confirms won't add NXT-based coins soon to bittrex, do you have any news?

https://bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-NXT
