U guys know that Chris aint his real name ... right ?

Might be real, might be not. What's the difference? It's just how we call him. When he wants to stay anon you could call him with whatever name you want.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCgear.com, the best scrypt/scrypt n/X11 cloud mining service, ROI 2 months on: November 08, 2014, 05:00:01 PM
yeah the crowd-funding aspect seems plausible since if you are putting in large orders with manufacturers you need a certain amount of ready cash.

Slightly concerning as I read through the litecointalk threads was that the seller who sold me some of his shares (who was an excellent, prompt & very courteous guy to deal with) - was open about the fact he was cashing out now as there seemed to have been something of a shift in modus operandi in recent months - implying as several others have that it is moving from legit operation to ponzi as cash inflow perhaps outstripping actual hashing power.

But plenty of people still believing & buying in.  SO will see what happens...

Going to cash out in BTC fully for next 6 weeks & not reinvest & then if pass the mythical ROI threshold my opinion will shift to - real enough for me - & I'll start partial reinvestment & banking increasing returns weekly which will be fun while it lasts!

Yes it's a good plan. Get ROI first then reinvest + keeping. Many people actually doing the same too, including myself Wink.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCgear.com, the best scrypt/scrypt n/X11 cloud mining service, ROI 2 months on: November 08, 2014, 02:46:23 PM
yeah if it's all real then I'd advise not worrying about getting shares etc, Chris certainly seems to deliver & has a lot of mail to answer at the moment I reckon....

so is it real?  not sure - but I've invested (about a month ago).  I basically feel like I've come a bit late to the party & it's either a total ponzi just about to peak & fail, taking everyone's money - or it's pretty much as advertised - ahead of the game technically & run by a fundamentally sound guy who answers peoples' specific queries & does the farm stuff & doesn't worry about trying to prove himself to all & sundry.  The affiliate scheme fits either - pure ponzi or hassle-free outsourced marketing.

Basically I read all the threads & thought ... seems legit, like in the X-files I want to believe.. & trust the beekeeper... so I just jumped in partly for fun, sold a couple of things I like & invested the money... so not gone into debt or wasted "real" money - just risking some of my stuff & if it works I can buy back better stuff!

I've put "only what i can afford to lose" but still - I've never invested in anything before & just thought - this can be my gamble/investment for the next 5 years - as in - I'll put in about a year's worth of "spare" money (as if that exists...) - to make it worth while & regret-free if strike gold (as put enough in to benefit in meaningful way .... & if it's a scam then I've learnt a painful lesson but only lost 1 yr's leisure money ...& I had probably better disqualify myself from investments for 5 years!!

jk

You sounds like a reasonable person, not a fan boy, tell me something, what is the benefit for that "chris" guy selling the making money machine? basically, he sell a 10 months profit machine, why he sell his "farm shares" when he could keep that profit for himself? i canīt see the whole picture here, he sell his share because is a good person?

You know, when is to good to be true...

You forget something. He might not have the enough fund to expand the farm if he "could keep that profit for himself". It's the same with all others ASICs manufactures. It's similar to crowdfunding. And you can't predict anything in crypto in two months, not to mention 1 year. LTC could even disappear after 1 year. So it's the best to reduce the risk in selling the shares, take a small profit but stable.

I just read somewhere that DRK will go soon to OKcoin.  Grin
BTC-e will soon follow.

Anyone can confirm ?

427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New version 1.1.5 on: November 08, 2014, 10:59:01 AM
Oh yeah. Finally. Thanks for Irontiga for doing the same thing with NXT. People, buy this asset, it's super profitable and it will support BURST.

Not just me, other great people i'm working with also. I just manage assets. Especially crowetic, big shout out to crowetic. He handles the pool, the hard part  Grin

Also, i think a miss phrasing there, i don't do it for nxt  Huh

I mean NXT people have  the similar assets with ltcgear Wink
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCgear.com, the best scrypt/scrypt n/X11 cloud mining service, ROI 2 months on: November 08, 2014, 10:03:03 AM
The affiliate program started only recently, and the ID is only created when requested. It's
totally possible that the first ever ltcgear-customer has affiliate ID 800-something..

You're right with this point, but I remember reading a review thread of Ivan about ltcgear 3 months ago. ltcgear's still unknown that time, so saying he's one of the first customers is not false Wink
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New version 1.1.5 on: November 08, 2014, 09:26:50 AM
[ByteGear]

Support BURST price and volume by purchasing ByteGear

Every 1 ByteGear = 1 qAsic LTCGear share. Whenever there is an LTC payout it will be converted to BURST, placing BUY pressure

Buy ByteGear by sending burst to:

BURST-UGCW-7PH8-5KFL-7D2TN

The BURST will be traded for BTC, and the BTC used to buy LTCGear. Do not worry, we will NOT be dumping it, we have large investors who want BURST, but don't want to push the price up to an UN-sustainable level(not a good for anyone). The trade between burst and btc will still take place on the exchanges, increasing volume.

With LTCGear there is share multiplication, so whenever this happens, for every 1 ByteGear that you have you will receive more ByteGear(90% of the ltcgear multiplication, other 10% fee to ByteEnterprises).

See more:

https://burstforum.com/index.php?threads/ann-bytegear.309/

Pretty much, by buying ByteGear you are:
Investing and getting monthly dividends
Increasing BURST volume
Adding BURST buy pressure
Supporting ByteEnterprises, which is all for supporting and promoting burst
Supporting BURST development

Sound good? Buy some Smiley Once the market is more liquid and burst's price more stable, we will start selling on the ae, but for now things are a little too crazy Smiley

Oh yeah. Finally. Thanks for Irontiga for doing the same thing with NXT. People, buy this asset, it's super profitable and it will support BURST.

Another great payment received, if this continue, I ll change my name to LTCgear.

Crazyivan, your affi ID = 7, you must be one of the first customer of ltcgear. Doesn't it make enough for you to change your name already? Wink

Anyone had any luck with Dual Mod 10 packs?

I've been trying for about a week now...

Oh well, good luck with that mate. Actually you could sell your DualMOD with high profit now LOL.

It's totally wrong countdown. Payout is scheduled around 5-6pm UTC. Around 7 hours from now on.

How do you sell a Dual Mod pack?

Might be the way forward if DRK keeps going the way it is, diff is going to spike hard.

You need to contact Beekeeper if you want to sell MOD. But the faster way to do is selling your whole account LOL.

Honestly if you add someone to your ignore list for them merely sharing their opinion you're a pussy hurt bitch and need to grow a set

I do. But I won't insult people. Sharing opinion by calling someone dumbass. LOL You're sure smart.
Live well in this world with your limited knowledge.

PS: I forget to click the ingore button but it won't happen anymore Wink.

So do you hate bitcoin too because of its past?

Are you really that delusional about the human's mentality?

Stay for the tech, not the people.

I don't hate Bitcoin or Darkcoin or any other cryptocurrency. I think they are incredible tools that have unfortunately (so far) mostly been misused by people for greed in one form or another.

I was simply stating I find it shallow to say it's good news that drug dealers will start using your currency. To me that's fucking bad news. I don't want those scumbags using it. I want people who value freedom of speech and privacy adopting it. That's why I believe in Darkcoin and I why I invested into it

So I'm the dumbass you're talking about. LOL
If you don't understand what the reason of posting the news and why Wired wrote an extra article for it, GTFO.
And I could give you in the ignored list. Thanks.

So my friend Ignition75 is right again.
I'm fucking jealous of him LOL

Anyone else been keeping an eye on testnet?

Difficulty is rising pretty fast, which means some serious mining from a very small base is happening.

Regards,

--
bsunau7

I see a difficulty below 17. Thats <100k pps total.

Let me show you how to optimize the miner:

My I7-4770k with 8 threads, stock-miner:
pps: 31821 / 31160  10g/h 4473 / 3429  15g/h 0 / 0

Now go on and build your own libgmp from source. When done, run the tune utility for optimum results. Copy your final libgmp.so.10 to /usr/local/lib/.

Now we're at:
pps: 34039 / 34041  10g/h 6077 / 4479  15g/h 0 / 0

Optimizing sieve size:
open src/main.cpp

line 252:
  1048576);

to
   8 * 1048576);

and line 256
  500000);

to
  15000000);

make sure to also change the shift, otherwise you wont be able to submit most blocks! You could specify it on command line, but this is safer:

line 128:
  uint16_t shift = (opts->has_shift() ?  atoi(opts->get_shift().c_str()) : 20);

change to:
  uint16_t shift = (opts->has_shift() ?  atoi(opts->get_shift().c_str()) : 23);

Now its mining at
pps: 38276 / 37068  10g/h 5156 / 5265  15g/h 0 / 0

Lets also add the tuning for Haswell AVX2:
open Makefile add set

OTFLAGS   = -march=core-avx2 -mtune=core-avx2 -O3
(if you have a haswell, of cause)

Results:
pps: 39691 / 39553  10g/h 6059 / 5635  15g/h 0 / 0

Oh yeah. 20% for free.
Thanks dcct.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GAP] Gapcoin - Prime Gap Search - New Math Algo - CPU only - Zero Premine on: November 06, 2014, 12:32:52 AM
Why is there only one pool to mine Gap ?

doesn't that affect the mining process or the blockchain integrity ?

nonce-pool doesn't have more than 50% nethash. Don't worry.
439  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] LTCGear shares - 0.0013 BTC / 0.128 LTC a share - IN STOCK on: November 06, 2014, 12:29:56 AM
Omfg guy's, multiplication is postponed to 8th of November. What a fucking joke...

It's not a joke. It's pretty normal. I quoted this from another forum:
Quote
Delays in multiplication are "normal".

I imagine Chris/Bee wanted to synchronize the multiplication with a payout date to simplify next weeks payout.

Last multiplication was mid week so we had a few days "normal" and a few days"multiplied" for payout. There was also an influx of new users prior to last payout.

This was far too complicated for some users to understand so Chris/Bee got bombarded with mails and such creating extra work.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCgear.com, the best scrypt/scrypt n/X11 cloud mining service, ROI 2 months on: November 06, 2014, 12:27:53 AM
this ponzi should collapse soon

I bet you say that to all the girls. In your world all alts are scams anyway so of course you would say that. BTC4EVA!

witty comeback. this is an obvious fuckin' ponzi. it will collapse just like all of them always do. it's the nature of the game.  Grin

There's an easy way to check.  Just check the history of your received payout coins in the block chain, and see if they are in fact freshly mined.

It was freshly mined, yes. But it comes from the biggest LTC pool, not from a solominer wallet. People still doubting, nevertheless.
