Hi IconicExpert,

Before I send my contribution, I'd like to see some verified credentials.

Please.

Bump. I have 1000BC waiting and ready.
How about you just send him the BC and trust him?

Because this is exactly the reason why there are so many scams around on the Internet. You guys just sent $400 to someone with just a username and know nothing else about him. Or was it posted somewhere?

Even trusted members of community have run scams.

I see your point though.

Next fund raiser, whoever has a good idea lets have the dev or soepkip as escrow.

At the very least you have Tom Keller post on his Link-In under his job experience: I might be working on a BlackCoin article in the future for Bitcointalk username: IconicExpert if 23,000 BlackCoin is raised on bitcointalk.org.

These are the verification methods everyone needs to learn before sending real money.

not sure if this has been said, but I use CampBX.com I have used it multiple times for bank transfer and it has always worked for me! just make an account and when you want to sell out send your BTC there, trade for USD, then arch transfer to bank. Sometimes if their rate for BTC is higher than other places you can get a little bonus.

What is their withdrawal fee and turnaround time?

Just a friendly note that paypal is not in favor of buyers as OP insists.

Here's a reply I just got trying to get a refund.  The seller didn't respond and they still decided in their favor.  They claim to ship but paypal didnt even require tracking.

I'll be disputing but just giving everyone a warning paypal isn't safe for buyers.

Dear ### ## ####,

We have concluded our investigation into this case. Unfortunately, at this
time we are unable to decide this claim in your favor.

The all depends on the case and the reputation of both buyer and seller. I called them to report and ask about a buyer's history and if the buyer has a history of repeated unauthorized disputes then they will favor the seller.

PayPal disputes are 50/50. However if the buyer files a chargeback it's 99% in favor of buyer. That's where the confusion comes in.

Only 6 people in the top 1000 has sold more than 18% of their stash. (unless this chart is wrong.)

I think maybe your guys should switch to MINT.

thats if you want to make money Smiley
week ago mint was 40..now is 20..

thats means you should have sold at 40 then buy double when it hits 20 Cool

It was 13 48 hours ago before the pump, 16 during the pre-pump buy up, then 21 and stable 20. The volume will gradually dry up as the lemmings buying at 20 realize they have been played. The sell walls will build back up, they will get upset and start bringing out the Mintcoin Pact where people withdraw their coins to their wallets for X days. They who sold their MINT will then get back into Black while it is low, the sell walls are such that it will not take long before we are back at 6000 and then 7000 as the curve trends upward more and more. Mint will then fall back to 16 and hold that position with around 10-15 BTC of volume per 24 hours, mostly people trying to make a quick 6% but because they volume is so low and the walls so thick they will end up stuck in the order queue for days until eventually giving up and buying back into Black at 7000. That is when we rise back to 8000.

I see you've been spending some time on the Mintcoin forum. haha  Grin
1210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 31, 2014, 07:52:26 AM
For negative stuff isn't it sell on rumours buy on news?

It's amazing how people forget this. Remeber pre-Gox, when it was all about China? By the time the deadline came we were stable / inching up and if it hadn't been for Gox we would have continued that way I reckon.

Maybe there is another way, but to me it looks like there is going to be an epic showdown between $380-$420. The bid sums are already lined up, with plenty more waiting in the wings. But China is going to attempt to take us down to $200s

We need real capitulation and I think we are going to have a chance at it when these two forces meet.

Maybe, thats kinda what most people expect, but i dont know, i have a feeling that this whole crash is kinda full of shit, cant really put my finger on it

I just kinda know 90% sure it's full of shit. HODL.
I panic sold. That bter news put me over the edge. If I'm wrong I'll buy back in at $520. But I have some even riskier investments in some altcoins so no worries on my end. I'm hedged either way for excitement.  Wink

Jorge wants those coins cheap!

That would be hilarious if all this time he was buying and selling.  Grin Jorge, if you are, you've got to tell us one day!

Current state at Mintpal. Check out that buy pressure!

52 BTC at stake, its not peanuts.

Did somebody say "Steak"?

Nevermind, false alarm. It was stake.

Anyhoo, everyone reading this, if you are a miner, be sure to point your GPUs and ASICs to http://www.hashco.ws

You boost the multipool hashrate and the buy pressure that will increase the price of Mintcoin. Be sure to change the settings to reflect payout in Mintcoins.

Darn. I'd like to buy some at 12 satoshis, but now I'm be last in a lllloooonnngg line.  Sad
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 28, 2014, 09:54:28 PM
It was the first hybrid PoW/PoS to go to only PoS with 0 premine and no IPO...... others=crap

I think IPO was genius, now they creators have a lot of money that they can use to create a really awesome product.  Oh well, I guess we all have our favorites..  Nxt has huge things coming it's way though.

IPO has been done before. Also Nxt is not faring well in the downturn. Already lost 25% market cap. NXT transaction fee is so high at 1.0, it discourages small transactions. So Who pays the 1.0 NXT on deposits to exchanges? And withdrawals?

But if you truly believe in a coin, why need IPO? Mine and buy like the rest of us? Invest and develop, and you'll be paid commission based on how much the coin goes up?

Blackcoin - Holy F*CKING God!

http://coinmarketcap.com/

The only coin with +change and 16%.

Even if there is a possibility this only a pump. That's still amazing.  Grin

I have been thinking about an idea for quite sometime now, and BlackCoin might be the perfect fit. Many miners do not have bank accounts and it is a pain to convert cryptocurrencies into fiat. I have an acquaintance in the financial industry and we have worked on a few projects together. He has access to some really cool financial products for corporations. I discussed this idea with him already and now I want to test the waters here and see if there will be some demand before thinking about moving forward.

If you could convert your BlackCoins into a virtual Visa/Master Card that you can use online, or even a custom physical BlackCoin Visa/Master Card for US/Canadian residents, would you guys be interested in that service? There will be a fee somewhere in the neighborhood of $7.00 - $10.00 per virtual number/card. If this is something you guys would be interested in, he could put this on fast-track for me so I can be approved and I could have something up and running quickly.

If there was strong support I would consider keeping it BlackCoin only which would force other people interested in using the service to first convert their other coins into BlackCoin.

Please let me know what you think and all feedback is welcome.

Could be good, but honestly the greatest thing about cryptos is there is no need for banks and blackcoin's strong point isn't going to be point of sale(it might be who knows). I would much rather see some kind of Blackcoin Bond or something like that. BC doesn't yet have the established based to support it, but if BC could make it to that point it would be massive news.

TLDR point of sale is good but BTC does it better, lets focus on value creation >>>> bank bond denominated in BC? fuck yes !

You make some good points. The problem is it will take a few more years before altcoins are widely accepted, and right now I can't buy much with BlackCoin unless I convert into BTC first. So all roads lead through BTC. I want to offset that by giving users more options with their BlackCoins. So for example: Lets say you have $2000 worth of BlackCoins and you want to buy new clothes and your budget is $300. For you to buy clothes with a budget of $300.00, you will first have to convert into BTC, and then you either have to find a merchant that accepts BTC or have your BTC sent to your bank. In some cases this will take up to 4 days.

My idea elements all of the hassle for BC users. Once you have the BlackCoin Card you can add funds to the card whenever you want without all of the converting. Then you can use the card wherever you want because almost every merchant accepts Visa/Mastercard.

+1 Awesome idea! And I second the sweet looking black card mentioned early'er. This could be huge.

We may have problems running against the Black Card though.

Sure, they are different. But American Express might not back down without a fight.

Why did Hash choose MINT really
Because I asked Smiley Notice I could ask for BC too... I think MINT and BC should not fight at each other - I know several persons who are supporters of both MINT and BC. Still, I wonder how both currencies could walk hand in hand without being counter-productive. I welcome any suggestion (the "we don't destroy the environment' part could help, but won't suffice, I think).
And, no we did not bribe them. But you are free to disbelieve me.

(I don't remember someone at MINT ever accusing BC of bribing someone. How elegant from BC to accuse of felony)
YOU asked?? Pardon me but you know very well who asked and it was not you...
As it goes against mintcoins green policy mintcoin team do not support the multipool idea so it was a community member that asked (me to be more exact...)

That is hilarious. Mintcoin will be the new hipster altcoin for sure. Sorry, I won't accept your Mintcoins because you mined altcoins and destroyed the environment to buy them. haha

So the environment comes first. Mintcoin 2nd.

Something wrong with MintPal or the volume just completely die off in the last 30 minutes?

Apart from the odd stash sell off no one is selling their coins in substantial chunks - we are going up from here I think. Despite my anger towards the market manipulator earlier I managed to make 5000 BC of it so I guess we both won in the end haha

It seems like you made the wrong move earlier today but you corrected it afterwards with a very good move  Wink

Anyway, only time will tell. These things will happen again and again and again ...

Perhaps, although it does now appear to have been the right one! haha I'm sure it will -but we have started an upward trend now, the dumps will end at higher and higher price levels and the pumps will hit higher and higher. Probably hit 8000 within 6 hours, maybe 8200 stabilised in 12. I think whoever it was who was manipulating the market had two aims: 1. To buy up as many BC as he could from us as cheaply as he could 2. To see just how low he could dump the price before buy support kicked in good and proper - In reality while many lost coins to him (myself not one of them thankfully) he has set a new floor in what we could probably call 'worst case' conditions (a massive panic with Cryptorush centred around BC, along with a massive market manipulator dumping the price lower and lower) - as we are unlikely to see such bad news/publicity for a while and the new floor has been set it is likely we will be on the rise once more.

Tell the upward trend to wait. I'm still buying.  Undecided

Haha well I sold all at 7624, that seems to be the peak of this pump - will buy back when the dump occurs - we gonna go down big though because a lot of the BTC introduced here is from idiots who see a twitter post and pour their BTC into whatever they are told, they will get scared when they see the buy orders dissappear and dump - probs back to 7100~ Id say, although impossible to tell, only way to work it out is to check the volume bought, workout the average price paid, then subtract 15% which is in my opinion the average ammount your general pumper loses by getting involved in pump and dump scams - the announcer is the one making all the dough here...and me hehe

Ok. I'm going to hold you to that!
