Looks good! Wondering if you can also include some broader news e.g. Bitcoin performance and major news from around the world of digital currencies. That will put the BC performance into context and also include content that we don't always see in this thread. Probably a lot of work, but will be fruitful. As a bonus, a 5-10 minute youtube weekly wrap-up discussion channel would be huge. In my next post I will try to work some of that in, also I will work on a video. Right now I have started with the basics, tomorrow I will try to do more in depth analysis of the days events. This project may become really time consuming. Add something about the multipool. Also you should include the Black Wednesday pic in your blog. Everyone loves pictures. You need at least a picture of Blackcoin somewhere! I'd actually like to know any event that influences the price. For example the announcement yesterday at 7AM PST that raised price from 7100 to 8600. |

Ok so let's say I buy some FAC today, deposit them in wallet. How long before staking takes place? 20 days or are the coins already matured and it starts immediately (if selected from wallet address randomly as I've read)
Anytime coins are involved in a transaction the coin age is reset. So you would have to wait if they transfer wallets at all. Ahh ok damn, greed kickin in on that one, oh well that works too. And does the wallet use a LIFO system so it won't disturb coins that are 20 days old when making transfers? Is there a warning? |

There are some naysayers who claim BlackCoin has peaked. I do not blame them for their ignorance, they have never witnessed anything like BlackCoin before and they do not know how to react. Agree with Satoshis, but for a somewhat different reason. With whole BTCs I know I'm dealing with whole coins. With satoshis, I know I'm working from the right of the whole 8 decimal places. mBTC feels like it falls somewhere in the middle to me. calling the BTC rate .451 or whatever it is today is one thing, but doing that for the alts just feels more complicated than satoshis.
I'm ok with switching when we hit 100K sats though.  Come to think of it why is there no symbol for mBTC & sats? You'd think bitcointalk would implement one. |

Although I'm not a fan of this coin, I can't argue with results. Might change my opinion in future and stop calling it Unfaircoin. I had a few questions.
1. Is this still a PoW Coin and will it have the same problem as Mintcoin did previously?
2. Can someone explain to me the 6% interest, 3% year after? Is this staking automatically calculated with coins in wallet? Does the wallet have to be open?
You can mine this traditionally - but nobody does/will. The block reward is .001 FAC fixed. POS is calculated based upon the age (minimum 21 days) and amount of coins used. First year POS reward started around 6% annually and fluctuates based upon difficulty. You do need to keep you wallet open for staking to take place. It also needs to be unlocked (for staking purposes only). The unlock command does not leave your wallet vulnerable to attack; it just allows the staking process to access your coins. If PoW is possible then it must have low difficulty so won't Faircoin run into the same problem is Mintcoin's PoW which was later updated and removed? So I can't just open my wallet once every 21 days to stake? I believe that was something you could with Mintcoin. Thanks. |

I heard Faircoin was a scam though? And keeps forking? I'll stick with blackcoin thanks. Solid dev, solid marketers and we've survived the pump and dumps to make it up to 10k satoshi. Sorry. Is it the beginning of a dump ?
No....it is someone or a group preventing BlackCoin from breaking 10,000. This happens every time we get this high. Why would someone sell for 9500 sat when you know BC is selling for 10,000+ on every other exchange. definitely looked shady - it wasn't a gradual drop to 9500 either - mintpal was selling at 9900+ and the instead of asking to sell at 9850 or something it immediately listed in large numbers for a few hundred sats lower than it needed to. Well the other exchanges have so little volume it can easily be manipulated. |
