important
i think there is plenty miners here too, i am not expert on this, just crossed my mind
when time comes, is it possible that as many miners as possible who belive in C2, put their miners on C2 so that we secure blokchain for that period when old c2 is transfered
i will give my 6mhs
is this makes any sense?
Ok, Let's do it this way... I am going to keep a running list on the Coin2 Coinzen thread on who is willing to donate hashing power during the Coin2 transfer, in case it is needed. If you are willing to do so, please comment on this thread or on the Coinzen one with your hashing power and how long you are willing to donate it for. If your hashing power is needed, you will probably be the first people to know the transfer has started. http://coinzen.org/index.php/topic,655.msg10603.html#msg10603Thanks for being the first volunteer Pagona .. Excellent initiative. I can help with my computers with a mining power from 1.1 to 5.5 MHS. Thanks! You have been added to the list.. Thank you Bittzy ! I'm perhaps wrong with my mining power. I can only mine with CPU and my best computer is arround 4400 Hashpersecond. Then my mining power is probably 1.1 to 5.5 KHS, isn't it ? If it's not powerfull enough, please delete my input. I updated to KHS instead of MHS, but left you on the list... every little bit might be needed to help out.

What is happening? When we need to transfer our coin to Exchange? I checked with bittrex but they locked C2 wallet. When they will open and how could they will know that those coins they will receive will be real coins?
You have some reading to do to... Grab some coffee and read the last 10-11 pages. Basically, 51% Attack! Bam! New PoS C2 coin being made! Boom! Will be a 1 -1 exchange on Bittrex soon! Splat! Bittzy78

Ok, I don't do any trading at bittrex either at the moment. This is just one of those times you need to do what is necessary to protect your investment. There will be 2 wallets as far as I understand. Old Wallet and New Wallet.
Neither of these are compatible with each other, this is due to the fact that it was just simply easier to create a new coin for Proof of Stake. Before I here one word of complaint ask your self these questions, A) Do you know how to program? B) Do you have a coin that you are the developer of? C) Have you ever tried to convert how the whole thing works.
So the steps that must be taken to protect your investment:
1) Transfer all OldC2 from Exchange to OldC2 Wallet Deposit Address on Bittrex. 2) Exchange your coins. There will be a special trading platform setup on Bittrex OldC2 -> New C2 3) Give your Exchange of choice time to setup the new wallets and remove old ones. 4) Transfer your NewC2 back to either your New Wallet, or your exchange.
These are the steps you need to follow. If you deliberately hold your coins on the other exchanges expecting them to convert your just gonna get butthurt and that never feels good. We are here to help you guys, and some of you have to be negative. I've noticed the same people over and over just being complete downers this whole time while were working our asses off to get this done and have everything go smoothly.
Joel will announce when the exchanges are ready for withdrawels and the the transfers can take place. If there are other exchanges to take part in this that will be announced as well.
+1 KEEP UP YOUR GREAT WORK. BUT YOU NEED TO BE CLEAR ABOUT SOMETHING, WHEN YOU POST THESE STEPS IT MEAN WE CAN TRANSFER OUR COINS NOW FROM CLIENT TO BITTREX. IF THATS NOT THE CASE PLEASE CLARIFY IT BY MAKING AN OFFICIAL UPDATE WITH A DATE AND TIME WHERE ITS SAFE TO SEND OUR COIN TO THE OLD WALLET ON BITTREX THANK YOU ARBIN. You can find the Network M/H's here.. http://cryptotrends.info/coin2/explorerYou can find the official pool here.. http://pool.coin2-project.org/The network is technically up and running and you cold transfer C2 to Bittrex from your client if you wish. The problem is the network could be attacked again during the transfer... we are not advising you to transfer at this time. We are also working out a solution to this problem.

So this is great .... People who have coins at Bter will lost them if not transfer them to Bittrex - great news. Super. How much bittrex paid you for this??/ I do not want to trade there, I think Bittrex is shit. C2 will die because of that issue. Great. And answer from Bter: "Dear Sir, We received the message from C2 dev team asking us to freeze C2 operation. There is something wrong with c2 networking. The proper action will be taken after the networking is fixed. No specific time is decided yet as C2 dev is working on the networking issue. I am afraid you may have to wait another 2-3 days. We will try our best to fix the withdrawal issue as soon as the networking become normal again. Thank you for your patience. Please let me know if you have any question" so they do not know anything about that they will lost C2 customers... So make it clear: If someone have coins at Bter - what he need to do? Transfer them to the wallet? And then to Bittrex? Or just from Bter to Bittrex? And why Bter will not use "New coin2" we should get together to get this issue over but not just complaining. if you had C2 from giveways or bought from exchanges with real money , it will only hurt yourself like you said if C2 die. so just follow this thread, and see the official announcement distributed in the following days. we all should believe in the dev team. they did a lot of work including developing FPS et al., and will not let C2 die easily. Yeah, this is being done in a way so that any exchange (mainly Bter) that had double spent coins deposited will not be out the Bitcoin when they were sold. There should be no bad blood with the exchanges and they may simply choose to just open up a new market for the new coin2. Remember, Coin2 has a history (however short) of decent trading volume on Bter. There is no reason to believe that the new Coin2 (PoS version) wouldn't have the same traffic.

I think you are missing a step. When you have exchanged your old Coin2 for the new Coin2 (PoS Version) version, you can simply transfer them to your new Coin2 (PoS version) wallet. Nobody says that you have to trade them on Bittrex. If Bter decides to trade the new Coin2 (PoS version) you can simply transfer your coins from your wallet to Bter. If you are holding your old Coin2 at Bter simply because you love the exchange and won't budge on this, you will lose them. Please understand, none of this wanted this to happen. The problem is the old Coin2 (PoW) will always have the possibility of getting hit with a 51% attack. In order to avoid this from happening we have to switch to a new version of Coin2 (PoS version). This will technically be a new coin so the exchanges will have to decide to trade them. We chose Bittrex because they are based in America, answer our emails and have a team of competent people that a few of us have talked to in the past. They didn't pay us any money for this to happen.

so what we need to do is to wait and hold our c2 in exchanges or local wallet, and don't do anything about withdraw or transactions until the official informs distribute, correct?
maybe...currently if you exchange you will not find your coins. So please hold on..just work and live with your familiy... my two main concerns are: 1. whether the exchanges like poloniex suspend the withdraws of C2. 2. whether my coins will get stuck when i'm doing the withdraws. thanks. The issue of coins getting stuck during transfers is a big concern of ours and we will work with the exchanges to help people this happens to.
