if BC hits 2 dollars i'll eat my hat and change my theory on PoS models. I just don't see how there can be enough money honestly...unless btc hits 700+ maybe idk.

how would u like it served? in a soup? or perhaps italian style?

You have a very valid point in that it comes down to what existing "float" is traded from the outstanding coins, however, lets take it to an extreme. If all the existing holders of the coins wanted to sell at $1 (unrealistic I know), there would need to be $75 million in investment to absorb it. No one knows when and where people will take profits at, but I'd rather see a slow and gradual rise that allows weak sellers the chance to get out with profits and longs to pick up the available supply than a double after double with no support so when all the sellers want to rush to the exit, there is actually buyers waiting to absorb it all.

...and before anyone thinks of questioning my agenda here, I hold xxx,xxx number of coins.

Why is it when someone starts debating the future value of BlackCoin and they seem as if they have an agenda, they always find a way to slip in how much BC they own? Smiley

lol, I just wanted to let people know that I have skin in the game and am not out to bash the coin for the sake of bashing. I'm not out to wage war on you or BC. I like this coin and don't have any beef with you. I just don't want this to turn into a P&D when the coin could rise steadily and support itself on its own.

I wish people would stop writing P&D. At this point It is difficult to P&D this coin.

FYI: I quickly counted the present sell orders all the way up to 66000 sat, it is approximately $83,380. We will be trading at 0.24 cents by the morning Smiley....

Wrong again, just like in the article. Do you have any idea how much 0.24 cents is?

It's about 50 times less than what we're trading now.. But a bet is a bet Smiley

50 times less than the price of 1 BC?

Just a literal 1 cent x 0.24 = a quarter of a cent, we trade at 13 cents now so a quarter of a cent would be around 50 times less. Don't take it too seriously, I'm sure Iconic didn't mean it that way Smiley

i advised our entire community to get into blackcoin yesterday. the ones that didnt will get some now. im also running a 1mh test on the multipool to see what the payout is like for 24hrs. also did some facebook marketting on my facebook where i have alot of investor friends some in crypto and some very interested. i linked them all to this thread and a sweet pic of the blackcoin growth chart. ill post an update to that chart tomorrow just so that the skeptics can see the comparison.  Smiley

Prelude in general is a low volume exchange right now. And there a bunch of coins on there that have N/A under the USD section and they're considering removing on the few that actually has some orders? (As few as it may be)

It's definitely a political decision if they're singling out BC over something like MEOW.

being a low volume exchange i see no reason to be excited. we can always be added later when bc moves up more. by that time prelude should have more volume and moolah will be the one asking to add bc lol

not sure a bc/usd exchange should go up yet unless we already have a market ready to buy with fiat. itll look bad with low volume and worse if it has to get removed later on because of that low volume. merchants and shops first, usd exchange after with the strategy to disjoint bc pegging to btc and have it stand independently with usd being the real price driver.

I'm pretty sure a ton of merchants would like to use their services for BlackCoin Smiley. Would be strange however for them to kick BC off, there are many other coins with way less volume.

meow doge are linked i think by mutual investors. so yeah the indicators do point to political reasoning. im just saying.. dont beg. if they dont want it because they dont think it's a good coin well we'll just have to see if another big rise will change their minds. but their posted reason is due to low requests. i suppose bc community is still small compared to some of the older coins.. but growing.. give it time. let's do what we can get done first and work on the nitty gritty later. it's obvious the coin has attracted the eye of some who want to try to keep it down and they are going to work the negative posting angle to reduce investor confidence. we've seen this how many times in crypto with how many coins.. too much to count. the problem here is.. they cant launch a 500mh farm at bc, mine it for a week and crash the market. so i imagine they will try any other ways they can think of to slow this coins growth.

moolah is vertcoin and doge supporter if i remember correctly. this could be a political decision.

So is 9.4k the new floor now for the time being?

doubt it very much. i think we're nearing the end of the 95k sells. maybe just a few more days if that. i think someone is trying to drive the price down with dumps to create panic.. but it isnt working. they use it on all the other coins why wont it work here? hmmmm

i dont know what their game plan is.. but at the moment i see no reason to want btc over BC with btc's declining value and all vs BC's rising. ill be joining the bc multipool soon where ill leave my mining rigs dedicated to it for the rest of the year at least. for now im just getting a few coins to hold before they rise and that btc will go also into bc ;p

1116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 11, 2014, 11:17:47 AM

yes the multipool mines other coins, and with the profit from that BC is bought.

So we have a constant buying pressure.

Which means Blackcoin acts like a parasite that needs to suck the life of other coins in order to stay alive!

This unfortunately reflects the worst of the human condition!!!

So just like humans are destroying the earth resources and will die when there is no resources left to preserve the human species so will Blackcoin die when there is no profitability on mining other coins because they will eventually die and the more people jump into Blackcoin's multipool and off other coins network the fastest this process will come to a result!!!

So either we have more shit tons of coins released in the following months/years and a market for them to feed Blackcoin or this coin eventually will also logically die!!!

This strategy is not the brightest of them all in the long run!!!

I don't really understand why people have no problem with the same thing happening with BTC. Multipools have been doing this for a while and trading for Bitcoin. Yet when it is done for Blackcoin all of a sudden it becomes parasitic.
Also BTC multipools have no desire to dump ethically, at least BC multipool operators are trying to maintain the integrity of the alts they mine to some degree.
I think Blackcoin would survive without the pool, but it's a way for people to use their hashes to get a coin that they think is going places. You are focusing on one small part of the whole picture, and I disagree with your assessment.

lol theyve destroyed every coin in crypto with his "human condition" bullshit talk. for all we know he's just pissed hes missing out. remember when every single profitable coin pool would get ddossed until the big hash farm arrived. they took advantage, cut out all the small miners so they get squat now for their hash and electricity. that didnt bother anyone. for that reason i trade only 2 types of coins..

n scrypt and pos. everything else has gone to shit because of these farms crashing coins then cashing out the btc to usd and taking btc price with it..

im with the other guy. i sent that troll some breadcrumbs but i agree.. dont feed the trolls.. let them get in or get out of the way. basically.. the best thing to do ruight now is sell every alt and buy bc.. which is what ive done except for a couple im keeping an eye on.

i was waiting for this type of comment. but hey you cant point the finger because ur also a parasite. everyone in crypto is.. do u mine more than one coin? do u sell one type of coin and buy another with the btc? the multipool does the exact same thing.

u have two choices....

no.. one choice..

get in blackcoin now.

and also.. this is actually the MOST BRILLIANT innovation in all of crypto history. even faircoin is trying to follow, but there can be only one pioneer.

all over crypto is a bunch of failing coins full of monoplizers dumping and crashing the markets.. not one of these coins can thrive because of "the human condition" when a mega farm mines a coin gets 60% of all the coins ever and crashes the market after a pump.

quit moaning and buy blackcoin.. we're already struggling to get some to buy at 9600 satoshi.

Can someone explain to me how this coin is #4 in market cap when it is only 2 weeks old?

because it's a pump n dump shitcoin.. carry on  Tongue

also maybe now would be a good time to suggest my idea for bc. i was thinking about a website that sells black stuff. all things black. coffee mugs, mice, gamepads, sweaters etc.. all things black sold on that website with bc accepted. dont know if it's a good idea. just throwing it out there.
1120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 11, 2014, 08:22:21 AM
hey all, nice coin. have been trading it for a while. the way i see it that 41btc sell wall is serving a great purpose. basically all the real investors will buy up all the coins on the market between 9500 and 10k satoshi ensuring that when we do rise eventually we wont hit another stopping block till 15-20k satoshi as noone will want to sell for a meagre profit. what we need to do is buy it and take it off the market when we do get to that point. it's only 500k bc. which would be a nice holding for anyone who is interested in a longterm profits. between the bc multipool and new investors, bc could be $10 within months. if i had the btc i would honestly take it for myself and hold it off the market for at least a year.

among the projects on the way with this coin.. bc/usd exchange and getting bc accepted by merchants are the real game changers. amazon/ebay giftcards etc would also be a great plus as well to get the ball rolling in the merchants direction.

i see this coin replacing bitcoin. and maybe not in the too distant future. there is already talk in the bitcoin foundation about phasing out btc because of the energy resources required. pos is definitely the future of crypto. the foundation is also considering adding pos to bitcoin, but it is very risky at this stage. however if btc is to stay kicking for 100s of years, they will have to integrate pos into the code. just my 2 cents. personally im hardly interested in any of the non-pos energy saving coins. not to mention the carbon tax that could come soon to crypto miners.
