Trying to maintain a bubble is just...

well it depends on your value for the coin.

if 2k is a bubble then this coin is really only worth what??

no.. with anon.. 30k would be a bubble. 10k would be a floor. you'd be surprised about the amount of people(large investors) who do not want you to know how much money they have when they pay you for something. that is the purpose of anon transactions. ill be wrapping up my own model of anon soon.

I didn't say anonymity was unnecessary, but I think that trying to maintain a bubble is just irrelevant, as dumpers would dump whatever the news.. and weak hands would follow as well.
but it will normally go up again, when time comes to demonstrate its real price.
People who sold might have kept faith a little longer before selling their whole stash.

We must keep in mind that anonymity will be mainstream in a near future.. and when altcoin market will be developed enough to embrace online payments, then everybody will have it already. so all the efforts might be short term only, so as the price.

2k price is based on community, dev of course and ann of future gaming 'protocol', which is pretty much a good price as compared to other community coins, and as we are still in staging phase for technological differentiation.

my point being i do not view 2k as a bubble. are u saying 2k is the roof of this coin and it is now dead? lol you do know that we touched 5k on bittrex and 10k on poloniex. meaning that investors are willing to pay that price for the coin. man i can see we are in trusted hands listening to guys with such pessimistic viewpoints. u must be one of the craftiest trolls here on btct.

Everyone selling cheap has made fudgamblers happier (necessary sometimes if bills need to be payed)... As the're playing the game of <buy on ann>, <sell on news> on small enhancements or, then <tank on fud> !

I'd rather see some exponential charts aka long term, well marketed projects, rather than sinusoid charts based aka hype fast up, fast down...

yeah i just think it couldve been prevented. that graph looks bad and the sell book is twice as thick going up now as it ever was. that means more resistance back to 2k and beyond the longer it stays at these levels. u need to do these things sometimes. updates etc a boost in investor confidence. dont just leave the market in a freefall. but whatever.. ill play the ropes. i swear this wouldve been stopped this evening and we'd be back at 19k and over now with just one simple update and announcement.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MIN] Minerals - POS. Fair Distribution Cryptocurrency on: June 27, 2014, 04:03:58 AM
Np Coinler , thanks for clarification , it just looked that was is all i was saying

this is my reason. i saw a need for more community activity and direction based on this graph.

the next question is what happens if say when e-sports goes into play.. and a player bets 100,000 and win 5x on a bet. where they want to liquidate some 100k or more coins of their freely won coins on the market instantly to take profit. what would happen to such a thin buy book? can we count on winners to be patient? i think volume is just too low for e-sports atm.

625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MIN] Minerals - POS. Fair Distribution Cryptocurrency on: June 27, 2014, 03:30:21 AM
All I'm seeing is Coinler a bit disillusioned with the devs being hesitant allowing a 3rd party anon developer on the team at this stage,
and dumping his 300k coins. There really isn't any need to panic , its just one person exiting his position. which means more cheap Minerals for the rest of us,
anything under 2k is cheap imo.

As previously quoted the dev said he's interested in Anon , but is not a priority until after the website.
A basic Anon Functionality can easily be incorporated into the website anyways, similar to cloaking via exchanges.

I don't mind paying the bill for anon implementation myself.

Oh and reminder to keep voting , would love to see minerals on mintpal , and not have to buy on bittrex.

guess what. they couldve just communicated that to me. i have received 0 communication whatsoever. and that is bad sign for me as an investor. there was never any mention of hesitation to allow a 3rd party dev to assist via private community hire. in fact minerals dev earlier on supported the idea publicly and never published anything to suggest the contrary.

i know the dev says he's interested. but if he was more than interested we wouldnt have a bunch of investors losing confidence since the 2k. i read the market to be losing interest and so moves needed to be made to instill investor confidence. announcing anon to be implemented officially i believe wouldve easily accomplished that and pushed the price up again for another wave pushing more coin up over 2k. this is trading, marketing and investment strategy.

i dont care who does the anon. our dev, or another dev. as long as it gets done and is put into the project pipeline officially. and that's what i was asking for only. and showed that funding for this implementation could be raised rather easily from the community. all of it is a good show for onlooking investors. declining to comment affirmatively in a sense.. let them down.

finally.. no that wasnt and hasnt been me exiting. i dumped a few coins to pull out profit to re-invest just in case the price goes lower. it is committed to reinvesting in minerals if community developments take a direction i think will strengthen the coin's foundation. just a few thousand min around 1.9 and 1.5 marks. so i dont know how you came to your figures. what you're seeing and have been seeing since 2k is investors losing patience and confidence due to lack of communication. and me trying to provide a direction that will keep the price afloat. failing that any further investment and reinvestment will have to depend on my reading of the markets and community developments. i still hold some min. and wish well for the coin. nor do i wish to see it fail. but my involvement will need to be reserved if im going to be working with people who think im their rival.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MIN] Minerals - POS. Fair Distribution Cryptocurrency on: June 27, 2014, 02:02:27 AM
really i promised myself i wouldnt comment anymore but i will break that promise one time to respond to ur sensible and unbiased post.

indeed this coin has defied all odds, but that doesnt mean that all that we have going for us cannot be messed up by bad direction. it should be the top priority of the dev and team to protect all investors and in this case.. all that was required to protect them was to place an announcement of the"INTENTION TO" add anon tech in the main OP to bring in some more early speculators and keep the price afloat. this is just sensible.  it was also free to edit. but it is more than that. the responses from the the minerals team to my questions and suggestions to help this coin have been less than friendly and largely ignored. i still have pms and irc chat messages never responded to. unfortunately we do not have a good relationship regardless of the many peaceful communication i have extended to their team. i was always met with suspicion and vague hostility. this is the truth. i still continued to support this coin and community anyway and hoped that as a community we could ensure that we protect ourselves as investors. u are right.. markets will fluctuate.. but you know what?? this coin didnt have to drop below 2k before e-sports betting. it couldve stayed afloat .. maintining all current investors and gaining new ones to boost the price. unfortunately i am unsatisfied in too many regards atm. i unfortunately cannot instill confidence in a community and coin in which i myself am no longer as confident. that's just the way it is.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MIN] Minerals - POS. Fair Distribution Cryptocurrency on: June 27, 2014, 01:22:31 AM
if u say so.. but im not one to really care what price i purchase coins.. or sell them as long as i believe in them or dont anymore as the case may be. anyway.. it is just a projection on the markets. i will await the result of the e-sports betting announcements and see what that does for the market. some of you may know starcraft.. but you dont really know investment and markets. we will see if i turn out to be correct. though id much rather not be and prevent that. would be a shame for minerals to let control fall to daytraders at such a low price. it will take u into a downtrading spiral by my prediction because they will have nowhere to run when the buys dont come. there is currently no real market interest. daytraders are just trying to get coins as cheap as possible to trade the margins. they hold no real value for the coins except in extracting btc. i usually just buy off sell side. but really.. im an investor and a trader. i will do what i think is best for me failing the actions of the dev or community. i will have demands. and i will have responses when those demands are not met.. just like all miners, traders and investors.

do not accuse me of manipulation. if u dont want me to be part of the community i can just leave. and i will as a matter of fact.. just be quiet from now on. good luck. and i hope that for all the investors that bought in above 2k that i am wrong and you regain a return on your investment. i do not want to see anyone lose.

once again.. goodluck.. and goodbye. this way there wont be any more accusations coming in my direction.

628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MIN] Minerals - POS. Fair Distribution Cryptocurrency on: June 27, 2014, 12:17:55 AM
look on bittrex now. when last have you seen this kind of buy volume? coincidence? if it was excitement over e-sports betting investors the price wouldnt have started sliding in the first place is my view.

im not very well known for my photoshop skills  Cheesy

very nice man.

Guys adding donation for anon, meanwhile in bittrex its going down.

of course.. because anon project is being shutdown by minerals team it seems. investors started jumping on board minutes after discussion of anon. and now that the discussions are fading, theyre bailing. just as i predicted. so enjoy. i got in pretty early besides my mined coins. paid for all my electricity a few times over with margins. so im good.

Has the dev team chimed in? I haven't seen anything. The donation conversation is only a few hours old, I think you're a little premature in bailing. IMHO, anon of some form is needed just because of expectations now (for almost all coins). So lets get it done and move on.

very small losses. i havent bailed all just yet. but the lack of liquidity may mean that esports betting will in fact crash this coin if their business model isnt well structured. the winning votes can actually be coming from one person making a tonne of accounts to jack the voting. we cant verify the age of the accounts voting on the poll. but either way. the market volume we were just seeing is now gone. so let those running the show decide. i wont be the one cutting the loss.

its like they are suspicious of me even though i have done nothing but help promote this coin from the get go. but let me make something very clear to minerals team.

i am interested in this coin as an investor because of.. and only because of it's distribution model. i do not want anything from you or your dev team. all i want is to promote my chosen investment.. and what investor does not like to see price rise and high liquidity i do not know. but i think it's safe to say that if you look at the thread timeline.. investment has always grown around the time that anon becomes a discussion and falls when it fades away.

im placing my bid at 500 satoshi. and without anon i am confident it will be filled.
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MIN] Minerals - POS. Fair Distribution Cryptocurrency on: June 27, 2014, 12:10:53 AM
Guys this coin is for all. anon will bring nothing. its better to promote it to some game or smth else.

there are members/investors putting their money where their mouth is to disagree with you.

me included.

Let the dev focus on this coins niche which is an e-sport betting platform.  Anon will be easy to implemented after this.

Seems to be a bit of panic over the price.  This is not the time to panic.  Generally the whole alt market is in a bearish state. And whales are loving it as can be seen by the market depth charts.  Even the coins offering anon are in a downtrend so i don't think anon implementation will help the coin price ATM.

Just ride the wave.  If you can afford it, hold out for now.

The problem is that this downtrend will continue if nothing is released the coming days/weeks.

it is obvious isnt it.. e-sports betting isnt reflecting any volume on the markets.. sad to say but it is true. bid depth has been extremely thin so that one large early investor can completely thrash this market. if minerals team doesnt want to see that. well i guess the market will speak for itself.

Cloak is marketed as a anon coin and look at its market....

Also there is a huge gap between buy and sell, The way i read the depth chart is there is huge reluctance to sell, and all we are seeing ATM is weak hands folding.  If there was buy reluctance i believe the buy depth would be far less.  Remember we are in a bearish environment due to BTC.

im actually not going to argue this point anymore. cloak didnt have minerals fairer distribution. look on the markets.. all the btc buys are fading back ot .02btc here and there. your market was growing stronger just from discussion. and everyone saw it this time. the proof is in the pudding. at least i hold no bias and do support the e-sports but recognize the importance of anon as part of the foundation.

when you guys announce anon i will buy back in.

My opinion is: Hurry up and get some form of gaming/betting up and running,,, like yesterday not 2 months from now ,,,,  it needs to hurry and create a demand for it now, especially in the SC community and with the Blizzard game heads out there. MIN needs action now to get people buying for this. I have seen great coins slip away during these lulls after launch. Anyone buying right now is doing so on pure speculation,, but more are selling than buying that's the problem.

the demand and liquidity you seek can be accomplished just by announcing anon. delay and/or shutdown this bounty and im absolutely certain you will see a pull of buy orders soon afterwards. volume is now very thick just for talking about it. trust me.. this needs to be officially announced.. and now!

The last 2 pages of this thread give more more confidence. I'm buying more. We prob wont go under 1500.

Anon + e-sport bets is a great combo. Just do tor at first and then work on something more substantial.

This coin is looking good.

that wouldnt be economical paying twice for an anon implementation by implementing something we know is substandard and then fixing it with a proper implementation later on imo.
