Is anyone brave enough with me to solo mine Dash with over 50 million in difficulty? These "Pay per share" pools suck.

did you try? looks hopeless but I'm trying.lol

Eh, what is actual nicehash solo url again? I am using the stratum url listed on their solo site https://solo.nicehash.com, but my miner reported the url is dead.

this- stratum+tcp://stratum.solo.nicehash.com:3336  is what i was trying, took a few restarts to work. only did it for 1 hour, there tweeter  has not reported a dash solo mine in a long time. not sure if its possibly, could some of us get together and make a pool? would rewards be better?

is there a way to solo mine on ant pool?

Pool stats show someone solo'ed a block 17 hours ago

Just directed D3 to Nice hash solo. anyone try this?

Watch your hash rate and make sure to set you DIFF.

810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | 0.10.6.1 POS/POW upgrade - New Self Moderated Thread on: November 27, 2017, 02:13:18 PM
New version is requesting a database update. Any Idea how long this will take?
If the answer is, a long time, Is a bootstrap file available?

While I'm at it.... The prime quark website listed on coinmarketcap quark.cc is still advertising version 0.10.4.5
Has someone asked them to update, or is this a split in version support?

Mine is about 1/2 done and about 15 hour into it.
811  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 23, 2017, 03:56:53 PM

Nov 21-30 Batch

3x Antminer 13.5TH + 3 PSU's

OWWWW YEA
Sooo Excited.

Restarting mining bitcoins for the first time in so many years...
Been not seriously mining with 300Ghash of 3x overly delayed X1's...... Very exciting. Cheesy

Looking forward to receiving my Antminers... Thank you Bitmain for so far, being on time Smiley

Can you also post the order date? Have an order from Oct 10 for 21-30 Nov batch and not shipped yet.

Mine was ordered 10/9 and still marked unshipped.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: November 23, 2017, 03:05:07 PM
I'm in a situation where I received my L3+ in early November. It was set up and running fine for 3 days and then the L3+ stopped working while I was away from home. When I returned home, the unit wasn't powered on, so I unplugged and replugged the power supply from the surge protector. Next thing I know, I saw something bright light up through the front intake fan of the L3+ and black smoke immediately came out through the back of the unit. I immediately unplugged the power supply and messaged Bitmain for support.

I spoke with Bitmain's customer service and was given permission to disassemble the unit and take photos of the hash boards. Upon disassembly and removal of the hash boards I noticed 2 of the hash boards were burnt. It took a week to get a response from them after sending them photos of the hash boards and now they are saying my warranty is void because of the burnt hash boards. The unit was never overclocked, modified or tampered with in any way.

Anyone have a similar experience? Is there anything I can do at this point?

Of course it quit working you let the magic smoke out!!!  Really that sucks!!  Mine have been running for 3 weeks now and they are happy and healthy!!  Hope you get them fixed!!
813  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 17, 2017, 05:25:20 PM
How are they shipping the December batch miners before the November batch ones?  Huh

My November 21-30 delivery batch is at the moment showing "unshipped" status.

Same here, Neither my D3's or S9's have shipped yet
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: November 16, 2017, 08:50:26 PM
I just received my 19.3 GH D3 from UPS today. The PSU arrived 2 weeks prior. Miner is still in the box, completely unopened. Does anybody want to buy it? PSU included, $600 plus shipping. I'm located in the USA.

How much did you pay your D3 and PSU in total (plus all the shipping cost and custom duties)? Why would you want to sell yours that low? Are you crazy?

I'm taking a huge loss on this deal. I paid over $2000 in total. But sometimes you have to cut your losses. I mine with GPU's, this was the 1st (and last) ASIC miner that I have purchased. I will gladly take $600 and buy another GTX 1080 to add to my collection. Right now, a GTX 1080 can make almost the same amount of profit each day as the D3 -- And I won't have to worry about all the heat and noise that the D3 creates. And, GPUs can mine many different coins and even if the day comes that GPU mining isn't profitable, I can sell my GPUs to gamers and at least get 50% of the cost back.

I would have been better off buying 4 GPUs with that $2000! You live and learn. For me, time to cut my losses and move on.

Do you accept PayPal? I would like to buy it with the PSU if you list your miner on eBay where i can pay with PayPal because of buyer protection.

Sent user message, he never responded

this is comforting to know that they are at least replying to you guys. I've ordered and paid for miners on June.

ordered in July, promised to have the miner in Sept... by then, no miner but an email said A4+ balala, so I wait...
for another month, bugged them, and they asked me to pay the additional amount for A4+ ...
paid additional payment again in late Oct, and then nothing... then, wait... until now

Don't worry, they are just testing them.  Once they ROI for them they will ship them to you!!  Wink
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LINX] Linx | POW(Scrypt) | Currency for the Electronic Music Scene on: November 11, 2017, 11:23:36 PM

If you say so, your stats at the time said I was the only one mining LINX.  No worries

Before you there was an other miner that submitted their shares.
If you have other question. I'm here  Smiley

That explains 1 block, what about the other 4?
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LINX] Linx | POW(Scrypt) | Currency for the Electronic Music Scene on: November 11, 2017, 09:41:48 PM
Probably this is your address. Your payout is 108 because there was another miner

You (108.976258):
http://antminepool.com/?address=XH5Svad98HoeUVrUhyzPbWKqMgCuwXfsC1

other miner (40.273715):
http://antminepool.com/?address=XRU4bTaPsAvgNwbhm5TV9QGZTSZ33xtR3S

the pool 0.75 equal to 0.5% of 150

Check that also:
http://antminepool.com/explorer/LINX?txid=fd4ac99798b49d6801a1bc552cece79c03b4fb707c664ed35980a00370341f5c

Please send me your address if the above is not correct.  Smiley

If you say so, your stats at the time said I was the only one mining LINX.  No worries
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LINX] Linx | POW(Scrypt) | Currency for the Electronic Music Scene on: November 11, 2017, 02:55:24 PM
AntMinePool added LinX (LINX) - Fee 0.5%

Link: AntMinePool

Payout every 2 hours for balance above 0.1 mined coins (No BTC payout)

Miner configuration:
Code:
-a scrypt -o stratum+tcp://antminepool.com:3433 -u LINX_WALLET_ADDRESS -p c=LINX[,d=your_diff]

Thanks in advance

...Mining for passion ...

This pool is really screwed up.  I mined 3 blocks at 50 Linx each.  They show a payout of 108 and it was never received.
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: November 10, 2017, 03:47:41 PM

Maybe he can do a change.org to demand that Bitmain make them produce unicorn farts, rainbows and fairy dust, and run on no electric!!
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: November 10, 2017, 02:29:13 PM
its the time to say good bye
i bought 1 from amazon its 5000$ d3
and another one from bitmain direct 1500 $
the 5000$ come today and the 1500$ i use it for 1 weak
for aprofit of 2 dollar aday i dont want this noisy heater so i decided to switch it OFF
thx bitshit for ur product

I'm sorry you got duped by a reseller on Amazon.  This could be a very useful, albeit expensive, lesson for you.

That said, don't blame Bitmain.  Take some responsibility for not doing the proper research beforehand before jumping in.

M

It's the snowflake way, it's always someone else's fault!!  I have 4 coming in, and I know it's MY FAULT for ordering them.  No one forced me to do it!!  So I'll deal with it.
