its something you should be doing.
Yes if a fork is needed it should be planned out and put into action. Merge mining coins need the maintain compatibility among the others.
Ok then, If anyone else has anything else to say; please don't be shy! Otherwise I'll start planning the fork in the new year. I've created an issue on Github ( https://github.com/Canada-eCoin/Canada-eCoin-qt/issues/1 ) to track the outcome. /koad OK for me. Bleutrade must be warned also

If you are sure about your bet, go ahead and use leverage. Just go broke if you're wrong, please. The only reason why such an extreme example as you describe would even be possible is the moral hazard of government bail-outs. The illusion of trading 10K tomatoes where only 100 exist would not last very long without this.
If you are worried about the impact of highly leveraged trading on the plight of the common man I suggest you address the root cause of the problem which is not the traders who take advantage of incentives given, but the governmental entities providing said incentives.
And please, if your suggestion involves "fixing the rules via governmental entities" don't even bother replying.
Ok I won't bother replying you. If you're a totally pro "liberal market" we probably have nothing more to say indeed. Just open your eyes and look at the world and what liberalism and capitalism without control has brought us in the last decade. But I'll answer to those who don't understand why traders are useless. If something is exchanged 1000 times (and that's currently the case), it creates 1000 opportunities for the price to change. And traders don' fix the "right price" they don't "help the market to find the value of things". They increase the price and take the profits. If traders earn 1000$ from a trade, who pays the 1000$ ? You, the consumer. I don't understand how you can't see this! Have you ever trade? It's a sum cero game (- fees) If you earn 1000$ it comes from other trader. And traders don' fix the "right price" they don't "help the market to find the value of things". They increase the price and take the profits.Long = Buy - Price increase - Sell and take profits Short= Sell - Price decrease - Buy and take profits If you think is cheap = Long If you think is expensive = Short You're helping the market to find the value trought you opinion/order/position

Hey, As I've said the idea was to get into Cryptopia but check how many votes has the first one Coin Votes SWING(SWING) 49 Stronghands(SHNDs) 44 MintCoin(MINT) 39 Horizon (HZ) 33 CryptoBucks(BUK) 29 DigitalCoin(DGC) 22 Digigems(DGMS) 20 OpenSourceCoin(OSC) 19 Quark(QRK) 17 Mooncoin(MOON) 16 granite(grn) 14 Einsteinium(EMC2) 13 GayCoin(GAY) 13 PLNcoin(PLNc) 13 BeaverCoin(BVC) 12 Monacoin(MONA) 12 BlakeCoin(BLC) 12 Guarany(GUA) 11 Well, I've decided I was going to vote with DOTs in the last minute and win the DOT votes but then this disclaimer pop up We try our best to comprehensively review every coin before it makes it on the vote list, but every now and then mistakes are made, or something slips through, or even things change during the course of voting. If at the end of voting a winning coin does not meet our requirements it will not be listed, and no refunds will be issued. It is up to the coin dev, the coin community, and the people voting for a coin to ensure that our standards are met when getting a coin listed on Cryptopia. This means: If there are no network connections when a coin wins the vote, it will not be listed. If the coin does not compile, it will not be lised. If the coin does not have a website, it will not be listed. Our listing requirements are below, it's up to you to make sure you're not wasting your vote. WE DONT HAVE A WEBSITE!!! We only have 3 Days 23 Hours 36 Minutes 26 Seconds to make a little website!!! Can someone make a little website? Cmmon guys!! If someones makes the website I pay for getting listed with DOTs!!!! GO GUA GO!!!

I think Shapeshift is ok and very useful and we should try to get listed there but we need first more exchanges. Why dont we make a voting to decide in which exchange we focus first? I propose the next 3 exchanges in this order (please include your exchanges and reasons) 1) Yobit (easy to get listed/no need to vote/ no delisting) 2) Cryptsy (hard to get listed/no delisting) 3) Shapeshift (hard to get listed/no delisting) I donate 0.02btc to Yobit's Only 0.08btc left PS: Support my ticket asking coinmarketcap.com to update their info to include https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=CDN_BTChttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=199685.msg13201438#msg13201438

With all this activity going on I would like to point out that we only have 1 exchange and now we are all here I would like to suggest to get Canada eCoin into a new exchange. This are the exchange we have available and how much would it cost to get listed: Yobit ***: 2 ways 1) 0 btc it's not sure you get listed 2) 0.1 btc you get listed in 2 days C-cex ***: (You get easily delisted) 1 way Paid votes + Community votes (for 0.15 btc or 150 community votes) Cryptopia *: 2 ways 1) DOT votes (paid votes) (not less than 0.1 btc to get listed) 2) Community votes (as you can imagine we cannot get into Cryptsy/Bittrex cos we couldnt get enought votes ) I suggest to get listed in Yobit. Why? *** "High" volume (between the Tier 2 Exchanges) You dont get delisted If we donate 0.02btc each, it's done If you dont like to donate, we can try to get listed in Cryptopia or C-cex Opinions??

how is the fork doing? Every exchange onboard? we need to contact any exchange to warn them?
The fork went perfect. All exchanges besides Cryptsy are onboard. Goining by westloin's ticket reply, they are updating. All the other exchanges had previously been verified to be ready so, no you do not need to contact any exchange. Many thanks to those who persisted with Cryptsy. we need to insist on Cryptsywe have to keep opening tickets!! It's very bad for SLG image and also for people who is buying now on Cryptsy. They'll found they've been buying fake SLGs and they will came here asking for their SLGs. We need to solve Cryptsy's problem!!!
