2161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty - Pioneering Peer-to-Peer Finance - Official Thread on: March 30, 2016, 11:44:41 PM
Just a gentle reminding: Counterparty smart contract is not on mainnet yet. That's the key point. How can you say "counterparty is better than Etherium" at this moment?

Because it's more secure and more user friendly.
It's better in those aspects and once included the smart contracts it will be better globally

ed: Ethereum is bullshit now, but it will be awesome.
People invest in what it will be

There is foundation election soon. Maybe we must vote that candidate who have best marketing strategy ideas...

That sounds good but it sounds so far.

Ethereum hype is now.

Once the hype is finished it will be much more difficult.

The only thing that eth has is a bunch of filthy rich bagholders that are all organized togheter to make volume and keep a "stable" super inflated artificial price.

Not sure about the organized and stable price, but anyways, we need to attact those filthy rich bagholders.

I'm sure that if they discover that

Quote

they will buy a lot of XCP!!!

Now to work:

Media.          Their btctalk thread.                               The person to contact. Their mail and Twitter.

the more you repeat, the better

you may sound silly, but they'll get the message clearly.

If Ethereum is not 200 times better than XCP is time to do something.  Angry

First is the crypto community.

We need to make a list of the btc media. The person to contact. Their mail and Twitter. Their btctalk thread.

Once we have that list, we send them all the same message.

Well, Counterparty is more secure than Ethereum and that's a pretty simple message.

Counterparty is more secure and user friendly than Ethereum

Is that statement true?

If its true I would use that

Security is very important for everyone, and if its more user friendly suggest it will be adopted by more people.

ed:

Complete message:

Counterparty is better than Ethereum: More Secure and More Userfriendly

ed2: Hit the media and repeat atleast 3 times the message an each interview

XCP needs to get into the mainstream media

the message: We are better than Ethereum

start from btcmedia to mainstream media

Sounds pretty childish to take that approach. The technology arguments would be a lot more effective.

speaking tech arguments to non-tech people doesnt sound smarter...

you need to adapt your arguments to your audience.

Simple audience, simple message

the message: We are better than Ethereum

I'm on linux now, could someone compile the linux wallet?  Tongue

I put 30.000 TES as bounty, if someone is also interested add something to the bounty   Wink

What distro are you on, this is somewhat of importance? Wink If you are on Ubuntu and I compile against newer versions of the shared libraries (like on Arch Linux for instance) the client will not start.

Im on Ubuntu

2175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PesetaCoin][PTC] New Wallet 0.8.8 [MANDATORY UPDATE] on: March 25, 2016, 07:34:54 PM

question: OP says 163M coins, explorer says 63.5%, total of 235M, what's it going to be? when did it change anyone know the history?

I'm moving the question to the spanish thread, but probably coinmarketcap info is wrong

OP says 166,386,000 PTC

PTC available now =  105.628.924 PTC                           http://explorer.pesetacoin.info/richlist
Mined =  +- 63.5%

any news on that?

Max:  166,386,000 PTC
now 113.381.600 Ptc

I must say this: the nominal value change 1:299st was not the best move.

Many people seem to be confused by this. It is only a symbolical change. But looks shady, like a pump attempt

There is clearly a lot of confusion on this although its been explained a few different ways. We have an update coming up within the next week that will clarify all of this. If you have any other questions or problems with the current public beta please post them up.

We'd appreciate if people could stop asking questions about when this news will be pushed (within a week of this posting!). All the questions and concerns about the topic of the conversion and the 299.4:1 figure will be addressed in the upcoming post. Very much appreciate everyone's patience.

No confusion. You're great devs but you have no fucking clue of the long term economic consecuences of reducing the stash
2177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin-FINAL BETA LAUNCHED! *ENCRYPTION, MARKETPLACE, BTC INTEGRATIO on: March 21, 2016, 05:32:57 PM
People says im fuding and im fucking tired.

Ive been holding sys long before the pump.

I have NOT SELL ANY SYS IN THIS PUMP.

IM HOLDING MY WHOLE STASH.

maybe u dont like my point of view.

Reducing the stash will be counter productive for the long term.

Why?

Cos some fuckingassholes still dont understand the concept of market cap.

They just look the price and compare it to the price of other coins.

They are assholes, but their money will also help to increase the price

Did I explain myself?

i see your concerns only in way of price correcting after reducing a number of coins, it might dip a little but then again it might rise, if they make reduction in perfect moment, just before important announcement, a big one, then it might explode, because people will be lost in moment and anything can happened, except price fall

You dont get, im talking about next btc adoption phase NOT p&d.

Except price fall.... You live in a bubble

incakoin delisting at https://c-cex.com/?p=nka-btc today please withdraw your coins within 24 hours any coins after this will be non retrieval

What da fuck are you doing?

You better stop that bullshit. If we lose my money because of you youll fucking whats gonna happend to your bullshit credibility
2180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin-FINAL BETA LAUNCHED! *ENCRYPTION, MARKETPLACE, BTC INTEGRATION* on: March 20, 2016, 12:18:46 AM
Why da fuck you need to make a swap If you already have a reason to increase the market cap?

Because syscoin 2.0 runs on an entirely different blockchain.

--

We're testing what we expect to be the final beta internally right now. If all goes to plan we'll have this available to the public by this weekend as well as some info regarding the final sys2 mining schedule, etc. via blog.

No fucking reason to reduce the fucking monetary base.

You are trying to fool some fucking assholes artificially increasing the price.
(Less coins, same market cap=increase the price for 300 to attract fuckings assholes.)

You have an interesting project, there is no reason to reduce the number of coins

I have no clue what are you talking about since everybody who's holding SYS will have its stash reduced by a conversion rate of 299:1.
How is this intended to fool people? Elaborate please.

Stash down, price up.  What is the reason to reduce stash?

It's like taking $100 in pennies, and giving you $100 in quarters. Canada just cancelled the penny. It's like that.

This has to be the most intelligent yet easy to convey explanation of what is taking place.

Guys... Really disapointed.

What you are doing its called "Reverse stock/coin split.
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/reversesplit.asp

And there is no fucking reason to do that.

Youre working coding for the future but you are making the reverse split to look like ltc and the big coins Now.

You lack fucking VISION

IS IT FUCKING CLEAR NOW?
