Probably it's all due to massive speculation. No one wants to be missing the bus, when Bitcoin is going to take off. We have seen it before - from 1k to 20k and from 10k to 65k - people, especially market experts or HODLers, know about it. It's much better to get in at 30k than to get in at 40k...  |

Almost forgot to submit picks but it's done now. Very difficult to make a good call here since slaman29 is already way ahead. One more round like round 2 and he's set to get at least top 10 already. Let's see, who will hit 100 points first here. (I'm not making any bets on this). There are definitely some nice games to drop the full 10 points. I'm not a friend of putting all my eggs in the same basket but of course it can turn out to be profitable. I'm still trying my current strategy to get around 12-15 points each round by submitting relatively "safe" bets, like this round on Bayern, Man City or RB Leipzig. They are strong or at least decent teams and have a relatively easy opponent. Possibly, betting in favor of Napoli away against Union Berlin might be an opportunity as well as Union has been horrible the last few weeks. Odds are decent @2.00 but Union can be strong at home (at least last season)... |

Um das grob rauszubekommen hab ich die von 1miau genannte Quelle hergenommen und mir alle Schwierigkeitsanpassungen seit 18.07.2021 hergenommen (lokaler Tiefpunkt der Hash-Rate). Dabei bin ich auf einen Durchschnittswert von 13,675 Tagen pro 2016 Blöcke gekommen bei einer Standardabweichung von σ=0,585736927.
Danke für die ausführliche Recherche, so weit in der Geschichte der Blockgenerierung zurück zu gehen und das einmal auszuwerten. Hatten wir glaube ich auch in den vergangenen Gewinnspielen dazu noch nicht. Die Frage ist nur, ob das auch Sinn macht, so weit zurückzugehen. Vor allem, wenn es aktuell nach einer sehr bullischen Phase aussieht.  Naja, insgesamt gesehen sind deine Tipps ja in der bullischeren Hälfte. Und in 2 Monaten kann noch viel passieren. I have no doubt about your dedication and professionalism in the forum. What the point of my statement was, is that a lot or enough to send 10 to 20 merits for a translation.
Yes, it quite a decent amount but in my opinion, a good translation also deserves some sort of reward. Because a good translation can be quite a lot of work. It's beneficial for the community to have high quality content translated into local languages because it will also lead to Google Search spotting these guides / articles etc.. For example, someone types in Google Search in your native language "What's a SegWit Address?" and some guides / articles on Bitcointalk will show up. That's helping a lot of people and generating clicks for Bitcointalk. I know it is up to the merit source but what i am seeing is that none of these translations are being read by the local member as this post doesn't get any discussion after being posted.
That's again only an issue because your local board is not a proper one. It's messy because you only have one big thread about everything. Developers of Bitcointalk should change that and it's important to change that. If it's changed = problem solved Contrary to what happens after so much merit distribution, a lot of new translators have tried to translate post some with permission and some don't with google translator without any basic skill in translation. What encourages them to behave like this?
You can report them in Reputation and if proven (multiple established members of your local board confirm this), the offenders will get a ton of neutral (if not negative) trust. Problem solved, they won't do that again. For being ranked 7 among all the languages in the word we deserve a local board of our own.
Definitely, you deserve that and I support you. But I can't tell you why the forum is such a massive embarrassment to get (even easy) things done. I admit we are having trouble having a lot of spamming activity in our board but it is an active board and new members are joining and posting there.
+1 It's very important to discourage shitposting. You have my support here. I don't know the right approach to request for a board of our own but as you are one of the moderators of the forum i am not sure you can help us anyway or not but we will be really appreciate it.

Und Verkäufer, die ihr für 5$ pro Bitcoin gekauftes BTC bei 20$ pro Bitcoin verkauft hatten, sich später aber mächtig ärgerten, als sie sahen, dass der Kurs dann bei 250$ pro Bitcoin stand, die gab es ja auch in der Vergangenheit zur Genüge. Ja. Nur ein Problem hat jeder: Eines Tages muss man seine BTC zu Fiat machen. Denn abdanken ohne zu verkaufen will man kaum. Ist das wirklich ein Problem? Vermutlich eher nicht, da man das Bitcoin ja auch vererben kann. Vielleicht sterben manche Leute auch, ohne ihr Bitcoin zu verkaufen, schlicht, weil sie daran nicht gedacht haben. Oder überraschende Todesfälle. Diese Fälle mögen selten sein aber die Umlaufmenge würde dabei dauerhaft reduziert werden. Vielleicht gibt es da eine Studie zu, die das bestätigt, dass ältere Leute öfter Bitcoin verkaufen aber ich würde eher vermuten, dass da keine signifikante Auffälligkeit vorhanden ist. Selbst wenn dem so wäre, würde doch ein Zyklus entstehen, falls ältere Leute eher Bitcoin verkaufen und jüngere es dann aufkaufen. Oder besteht da ein Zusammenhang zur überalternden Gesellschaft? Heute 27K zu 100K > > Auch satter Gewinn. Nur die Zeit ist halt ne andere. Damals hatte man 5000 BTC ,heute 1,2 oder 10 .
Das ändert ja nichts. Ob damals weniger deutlich weniger Leute deutlich mehr Bitcoins hatten als heute deutlich mehr Leute deutlich weniger Bitcoin haben, ist doch wurscht. |

One guy from the community got 40merit from 1miau by translating 3 of his topics in a week. Some newbies noticed this and started doing translation right away by using google translation. I cannot blame them as they are seeing that if someone can get 40 merit that easily then why don't we try this?
Since I have obviously been mentioned here to give out a fraudulent Merit (maybe the meaning of your statement is a bit off due to being lost in translation), I can tell you that for each translator of each language, I have requested a proofreading of established native speakers to make sure that these translations are not Google translate spam. If a translator is proven to be a Google translate spammer, I won't give out a substantial amount of Merit and I would reject all subsequent translation requests. For some translations (not related to your Bengali local board) I have requested an improvement until they were acceptable. The problem of your Bengali local section aren't constructive members translating interesting content, the flawed forum layout is the issue here. So, it's better complain about the lazy forum development (like your OP does) because a proper Bengali board will solve the entire issue of long translations, which are currently being placed in a single thread. This is no issue at all in "real" local boards. I'm wondering anyways why it's so difficult for the forum developers to establish proper local boards. But after wasting more than 2,000,000 USD on the new forum software, I'm not really wondering about anything anymore here.
It sounds illogical to ask for a Bengali sub board for Bengali translation and press release because we don't have any local boards yet. But the way the Bengali board is hammered with translated topics and news source posts, it looks like spamming to many of us. It's enough to have Bengali local sub-boards for: - Bitcoin discussion - Bitcoin (price) speculation - Beginners and Help - Altcoins - Mining - Service discussion - ... Each translation would be posted where it's suited best. I agree that news spam should neither get merited nor paid by signature campaigns. Doing so, will reduce news spam massively. |

Gilt die Teilnahme nur für Beiträge, die auf Deutsch verfasst worden sind?
Dazu gibt es keine Beschränkung in den Regeln, es können also auch Beiträge eingereicht werden, die außerhalb unseres deutschen Forenbereiches geschrieben wurden. Die aktuelle Staffel läuft noch bis 25. Oktober 2023.
Wenn ich meine Posthistory anschaue, fallen mir eher Beiträge nach der Frist vom 30.09 ins Auge. Insofern muss ich da fairerweise eh zurückrunden. Für die aktuelle Staffel komme alle Beiträge in Frage, die bis zum 30.09.2023 erstellt wurden und seitdem nicht editiert wurden. Bei möglichen zukünftigen Staffeln würde sich das Datum natürlich weiter in die Zukunft verschieben.
Vielleicht kann ich das einmal in Meta vorschlagen, das Limit zumindest auf 75 zu erhöhen. ^^
Vielleicht hast du ja Erfolg, erfahrungsgemäß wird sowas ja meist erst einmal Monate gekonnt ignoriert bevor man Überlegungen anstellt, ob das wirklich implementiert werden soll. Dankeschön, wenn ich das überhaupt versuche. Denn, wie du ja bereits richtig erwähnt hast, scheitert die Implementierung neuer Ideen im Forum leider an einer sehr trägen Umsetzung dieser (wenn sie überhaupt in Erwägung gezogen werden). |

Wir haben BitPanda.  Die sind sogar aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum. Ansonsten noch Bitcoin Suisse aber da hört man gar nicht so viel, angesichts dessen, wie viel Werbung sie (angeblich) schalten.

By the way I don't think starting from a little behind is a big deal for Verstappen. I believe he can still win by a big margin.
In today's Sprint, Verstappen didn't seem to push all the time and he still ended up winning with a lead of over nine seconds in just 19 laps. Being 0.5 seconds faster per lap compared to Hamilton, who came second, and having DRS for overtaking, might make a Verstappen win very likely. Even in case overtaking could be difficult for him, Red Bull seems to have a good tyre management here in Austin once again and there are quite a few high speed corners, where the tyres will suffer. Should Verstappen struggle to overtake, he could just switch to a different strategy, where managing tyres are an option.
Verstappen's odds have been increased by bookmakers - but only to 1.57.
Odds are down to 1.37 after Sprint. Most likely due to Verstappen being very dominant in Sprint.
But it could be an interesting race. Perez really struggled to make up places. It took him many laps to get past Sainz. On the other hand - Verstappen is not Perez. |

Ich finde die Frage wirklich interessant und relevant, denn dass Positionen, die im Profit stehen, dann irgendwann auch Verkaufsdruck auslösen können, das leuchtet mir schon ein. Ich vermute, dass es da sehr auf das Momentum ankommt und sobald es ins Stocken kommt, sich dann doch der eine oder andere denkt, in dem Moment erst recht zu verkaufen und somit einen erneuten Abwärtstrend unterstützt. Man kann das natürlich auch anders sehen.
Wenn genug FOMO im Markt vorhanden ist, sollte das kein Problem sein. Als historische Beispiele haben wir ja etliche Anstiege, wo viele HODLer mehrere hundert Prozent im Plus waren und der Kurs trotzdem noch eine ganze Weile weiter stieg. Das wird sich mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit wiederholen, wenn auch weniger drastisch, da die neuen Hochs niedriger ausfallen als bei früheren Zyklen. Es braucht halt, wie du ja geschrieben hast, ein ausreichend positives Momentum (FOMO). Hinzu kommt ja noch, dass Binance nicht nur kleiner als die Riesen des globalen Finanzmarkts ist, sondern dass diese Riesen auch eine mächtige Lobby haben und sicherlich ihr Interesse ganz deutlich machen, dass sie eine Lizenzierung eines Unternehmens wie Binance nicht grad begrüßen würden. Die USA haben ja auch schon Coinbase und das als gelistetes Unternehmen und sind somit nicht unbedingt gewillt, sich so einen Player wie Binance ins Land zu holen, der als doch recht unüberschaubares Unternehmenskonstrukt operiert.
Vor allem hat Coinbase mit BlackRock seit Sommer 2022 eine Partnerschaft: Coinbase forges deal to give BlackRock clients access to cryptoJe nachdem, ob sich die Geschäftsbeziehungen da mittlerweile gut entwickelt haben, könnte es durchaus sein, dass BlackRock sich ebenfalls über Lobbyismus dafür einsetzt, dass Coinbase weiterhin gute Vorraussetzungen zum Florieren vorfindet, da auch BlackRock davon profitieren könnte. |

Gerne nehme ich deine Tipps mit auf und deine Berechnung ist auch sehr ausführlich dazu (mal sehen, ob sie auch gewinnbringend ist ), allerdings ist eine der Teilnahmeregeln, dass die Beiträge nicht editiert werden dürfen: Die weiteren Regeln: - Die Beiträge mit Tippabgaben dürfen nicht editiert werden.
 Dabei geht es hauptsächlich um die reine Dokumentation im Forum selbst, du kannst also deinen Beitrag 1:1 noch einmal uneditiert hier platzieren und das ist dann der Beitrag, den ich in der Liste eintrage.
Nachtrag: Diese Formel enthält einen kleinen Fehler. Ich hab sie trotzdem so belassen.

But in reality, odds have been much higher than 1.23 for the first half of the season, so a profit would have been quite considerable, to bet on Max every race. Well, what happened a week ago, when Hamas fighters went to Israeli cities? They killed innocent civilians and caused the whole recent upheaval. Did they (Hamas) really start this war? I've referred to the recent attack, where around 1500 Hamas fighters entered Israel on October 7, 2023. That started the recent upheaval and I hope very much, that it doesn't escalate into a big war in that region. Unfortunately, the situation is completely messed up there and both sides hate each other. Getting into a peace deal seems to be close to impossible. It's really sad news. |
