1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Alt coin should I buy next? on: December 16, 2017, 06:21:15 AM
First i would like to remind you for what purpose are you buying altcoins? You might have the intention of achieving more and more profits out of your investment, right?. If i am pointing it absolutely precise, why don't you go for bitcoin?  You know bitcoin has changed a lot of minds in past year by its fast and frequent price surge, moving from bitcoin to altcoins at the moment would be big mistake in my sense

Some altcoins for short term and some altcoins for long term so you have to decide how long your investment should be before investing. If your are looking for long term investing like more than a year then ETH,LTC,DASH and XRP will be my suggetion because these are considered as classic coins and maintain its price over the period.
Some people converting their bitcoins into altcoin because they want to cash out their profit from the recent price bump of bitcoin and some people feared of bitcoin crash so they are picking some alternative investment for bitcoin which is supposed to be altcoin investment.
But moving from bitcoins to altcoin looks like a mistake in my opinion because I think the price of bitcoin will increase more in the coming years so they have to hold their BTC to have more profits.

1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple: hodl and wait untill 18 dec? on: December 15, 2017, 03:32:34 PM
What to do with ripple at the moment? Hodl?

Why you saying 18th Dec,or you want to say 2018?

XRP is a good coin is very fast in transaction which other crypto currencies failed to provide.Ripple made a huge price growth in this year from$0.01 to $0.79 so the price may increase in the future also.Experts also predicts that real price of XRP will shown in 2018.So Ripple is one of the best crypto for long term investment.
1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $12000 to invest in long term. Which coin? :D on: December 15, 2017, 07:09:21 AM
Which is a safe coin to invest in the long term?
How long should I hold it?

Is there a risk that I might lose it all?

I am a noob in cryptocurrencies. Help.  Huh

I was thinking Litecoin, is it a good idea?

There is no safe coin to invest in crypto market but if we invest on popular coins the risk factor of losing our investment is less.

Yeah LTC is better option for long term investment but never invest all money in single coin you just split your investment,I suggest you 30% in LTC,30% in bitcoin and 40% in ETH.There is high chance of ethereum price bump in the coming years so it is better to invest more amount in ethereum.
1165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Minimum coin to begin trading? on: December 15, 2017, 05:43:35 AM
I was wondering what's minimum / ideal amount of BTC or ETH I should have in order to start trading activity

If you have any idea or just want to share your first experience in crypto trading, feel free to write them bolow

For every trade you must set an acceptable target level to bringing benefit Furthermore more importantly, Also set stop-loss level to cutting misfortunes. A Stop-loss may be setting the level for passing the place the trade will get stop.
Here again, it will be important acknowledging a number of factors The point when picking An prevent reduction level effectively. i suggest to start with as low as  10$

10$? I'm not sure if that still survive as fee will eat that right away maybe 100-1000$ will do when you are really aiming to have a decent earnings.
you just needed to always set your target goal and have plan b so just in case your first plan went bad then you have corresponding alternative after.

Yeah as you said $10 not enough to start because fee will eat that $10 so I think 0.01BTC is atleast required to start trading. But if we have more investment then we no need to pay the fee often so we can save extra amount.
Before start trading learn basics of trading and choose your own style.I think trading with bitcoins is more profitable than ethereum so you just start with bitcoin and add some altcoins later with your trading.
1166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Korea bans Bitcoin derivatives~ OUCH! on: December 14, 2017, 03:59:49 PM
I am not sure how much of a serious damage if any this does to Bitcoin's growth in terms of market capital.

https://www.coindesk.com/report-bitcoin-derivatives-banned-south-korean-government/

That's no bad news for Bitcoin I can assure you!
Apparently! If there mission was to see bitcoin going down or users getting scared, then they just failed abruptly. So far the news went round, I am sure they will be very surprised it had no effect on the market and I am pretty sure investors should start seeing more reasons they should start believing that this is a currency for the people and the currency itself is the people and not some government that can just decide to keep enslaving us.

But, my concern is what difference does it really make ? If they decide to ban whatever they want to ban, that will not stop bitcoin from still being used.

Bitcoin may be a speculative investment at the moment, but that does not make it real. If they fell threatened by the existence of bitcoin, then that is their own problem. If I am in Korea, I can as well just go to nearby countries to trade.
Yeah as you said they can not stop us from using bitcoins but they can shut down the local exchanges so it will be hard to buy bitcoins anymore he have to buy from the nearby country to buy bitcoin so he have to pay some extra fee for converting the currencies.
I think Korea ban doesn't make big difference in bitcoin market but if more countries started to ban after the Korea then it will be a real threat for bitcoin because more countries banned means demand will get less which means price of bitcoin will fall.
1167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet is the best for Bitcoin Now? on: December 14, 2017, 02:01:17 PM
Hello Everyone,

There are few famous wallets for bitcoin like blockchain and coinbase. But actually, i have been using them for a long time ago. But I want to get another good wallet. So, which one will be better? Please Suggest Me.

Thank You.

You have to pick the wallet based on your usage I am using blockchain wallets it is secured than coinbase because it have private key so your savings will be secured. But if your going to store your bitcoin for long term or your have more than one bitcoin then it is better to go with hardware wallet or paper wallet like electrum.
1168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi friends. I need advice.... on: December 14, 2017, 12:13:19 PM
I'd  advise you to buy bitcoins now,  the prices are high but they have the potential to grow higher than this. It is being speculated by most people,  the price of bitcoin will reach $20000 before the end of the year.
I wouldn't advise you to venture into litecoin, if you will venture into any other coin apart from bitcoin , it should be Ethereum. Ethereum has better market cap than litecoin.

Maybe he should wait for a little while to buy bitcoins because the price is dipping now.Yeah sure bitcoin has a good potential so the price will reach extreme height in the coming years. And litecoin also not a bad coin to invest itmade a huge price bump in recent days if he invested in litecoin then he is so lucky,in crypto anything can happen so if you have good investment then split your investments to buy potential coins like BTC,LTC and ETH.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETHEREUM DAY TRADER? on: December 14, 2017, 09:17:49 AM
Hi all, is there anyone here who is a day trader in the ethereum platform? Any piece of advice?

Day trading with ethereum is not a good idea because the price increase of ethereum is constant and slow so you not get good profit by day trading ethereum, ethereum is best for long term holding. If you want to be a day trader then choose the coin with high price volatilty then you can buy them when dump and sell at bump, but it needs huge skills if you don't have that analyzing skill then it is better to go with long term holding.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH, LTC, DASH, XRP -why all so high on: December 14, 2017, 07:11:07 AM
While Bitcoin is being stable around $16500 all the other top coins like ETH, DASH, LTC, XRP, BCH, XMR are skyrocketing within a short time.
Does this mean that investors are moving towards the large cap coins ? Which coin have you invested in ?
I had an eye on Ethereum and it has reached $750 while DASH has conquered the $950 . Will both DASH and ETH cross $1000 within this year ?
XRP has crosed $0.5 , will it hit the $1 within this year ? Drop your comments below.

The bitcoin price is falling and altcoin prices are increasing because people are cashout their profits from bitcoin so they are investing their profits in potential coins like ETH,LTC and etc.So the price of altcoins keeps increasing BCH cash making huge bump over the other coins it crossed $2000,so the year 2018 maybe the year of altcoins.
1171  Economy / Economics / Re: What kind of economy will it be if bitcoin is a currency? on: December 14, 2017, 05:55:31 AM
Bitcoin is already a currency then why you asking like that?

Bitcoin is a virtual currency so there is no physical structure for it but still we can use it if bitcoin was accepted as a payment but noe bitcoin is still in early stage soon bitcoin will be accepted as a payment everywhere. But we can use bitcoin everywhere because the value might be very high in the future so we can use it for paying $1 or $2 if you do then transaction fee was more than your purchase. So that's where other crypto currency where come into play.
1172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin sending fees... are you serious? on: December 13, 2017, 06:43:16 PM
I haven't sent btc in a while.  Back when i sent btc, fees were less than 50 cents.  Maybe 3 dollars?  I went and tried to send less than 30 dollars of btc... fees show up as 12 dollars on electrum and thats with the lowest possible fee where i make it send within 25 blocks.  Now if you want to send under 1 dollar, it cost 12 dollars.  When is this issue getting fixed?  Who in their right mind would send btc for small amounts when even the fee is that much?  Its like paying 12 dollars for something you want to buy that is 1 dollar?

Yeah this is due to more number of pending transaction on bitcoin network currenctly there were 130K transactions were pending this is 10 times more than normal pending transactions this shows that more number of people started using bitcoins so we need to improve the bitcoin transaction time by implementing lightning network or the condition will even worse in the coming days.
1173  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will happen with the BTC, if the dollar falls on: December 13, 2017, 05:13:22 PM
I think it's not related or affect the value of bitcoin. Bitcoin is not based on dollar or any currency in specific country, that's why it will continue to sustain and hold the value of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is base on how many users , mining and many more. Correct if I'm wrong, thanks in advance.

Yeah, bitcoin value is not based on the value of dollar and also not based on the mining. The value of bitcoin is based on satoshi if satoshi price falls the bitcoin price will fall too.So the price of bitcoin will increase in terms dollars if the dollar price falls.
1174  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How is Bitcoin taxed?? on: December 13, 2017, 02:50:09 PM
I've been trying to figure out how Bitcoin is taxed before I trade. Does anyone know?

If bitcoin is legal in your country then there is a tax policy in which part of the regulations. Here in our country tax will be collected thru local exchanges in which every time you change your bitcoin to fiat you will pay extra charged because it already included the tax. Like value added tax in which every time you purchase a thing there is additional tax to pay but if the bitcoin is not legal and not ban to then you should not be worrying about bitcoin taxes anymore.

Is it like that?I never paid any extra charge while buying bitcoin on any exchanges.
I always buy bitcoins on localbitcoins.com they never charged me like value added tax as you said,so you may try to but at this exchange to avoid any kind of tax.In my knowledge any tax can be made on bitcoin you onlt need to pay taxes while convert your bitcoins into fiat.
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why did Litecoin rise so fast? on: December 13, 2017, 12:30:40 PM
It maybe happened due to the bitcoin and ethereum transaction issue in recent days the fee is getting higher and the transactions were in pending status for days so people may turned to some coin with fast transaction and cheap fee.Recently coinbase also shut down their site because many new users so this also maybe a reason many new crypto users in recent days.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in altcoin still worth? on: December 13, 2017, 09:52:05 AM
Of course altcoins investments are more profitable than bitcoins because some altcoins will make huge price bump in very short period but investing on cheap altcoins maybe risky because it may lose its value in the future. So it is good to invest on potential coins like LTC and ethereum in long term for getting huge profits in future.
1177  Economy / Economics / Re: popularity of bitcoin dictates demand, means more profit on: December 12, 2017, 03:38:50 PM
in my opinion, this is what happening right now as the trend of bitcoin price has been sky rocketing.  what do you think affects the price increase of bitcoin today?
Simply the supply and demand formula applies here which has been discussed hundred of times on this forum, demand is increasing rapidly while the supply is same. What i have observed that popularity of bitcoin has increased more than 500% this year and people are much interested to earn huge profit through it that's why everyone is investing. The popularity will increase even more in the near future and we will see the bitcoin ruling the world with it's high worth.

Bitcoin increasing due to its high demand and the demand were creasted by more popularity of bitcoin in recent days.More people understand that bitcoin is the only way to earn huge money in short time,so people are buying and holding the bitcoins.
But if it continues for too long it will affect the price of bitcoin if all people just hold bitcoins then it will stop the circulation of bitcoin which leads to the price fall or cash so it is essential to keep good amount of bitcoin in circulation.
1178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach 20k price point before Christmas on: December 12, 2017, 01:40:39 PM
Judging the pattern and graph, I believe each btc will cost 20k before Christmas arrives. What do you think?

No guarantee for that bitcoin will reach $20K before Christmas because bitcoin price is highlt volatile and no one knows when it will bump and dump and no use with the graphs because these is no sable movement in the price of bitcoin. But it looks possible with the current price growth but don't know how long the price will rise and it is hard to predict the price for short term.
1179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin value surge past $17,000, Is it Safe to Invest Now? on: December 12, 2017, 12:36:33 PM
As the price of Bitcoin soars a new all time high of $17,000 Many Financial experts have Cautioned about Investing in Bitcoin, Stating BITCOIN could be a bubble up to blast.

Please Guide me what should I do?

Bitcoin investments are always risky if you want to make huge profit in short time then you need to take such risks.Yeah, some financial experts predicts that bitcoin is a bubble and it will burst soon but I think it is just the beginning of bitcoin era so we can expect more price in the coming years. But no one knows the exact answer.
If you are going to invest on bitcoin or crypto invest that amount which you can afford to lose and be aware of bitcoin hackers, your wallet can be hacked so please store your bitcoin in paper wallet or in hardware wallet.
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH and LTC which is valuable ? on: December 12, 2017, 09:20:47 AM
Apart from Bitcoins which has proven to be consistent in price appreciation, which of these two coins, ETH and LTC you think is most valuable.

Are you talking about per coin valuation or market capitalization here? If you're talking per coin then it isn't really fair since Ethereum has almost double the amount of LTC that is currently in circulation. But i still think that right now, ETH is probably deservedly more valuable.

Even after the pump LTC is only in fifth place in market cap terms while Ethereum has solidified itself in the 2nd place.

I don't really like Ethereum that much, but i guess the market have voted with their dollars when ETH overtook LTC as the consensus number two guy in crypto. So yeah, ETH is more valuable at least for now. We'll see how big LTC's pump gets though.

Yeah, ethereum is the second valueable coin after bitcoin because the quantity of ethereum in the circulation is more but recent price bump of litecoin made a good competition between both these coins, ethereum raised from $10 to $500 in this year and litecoin raised from $2.5 to $250 so the growth rate of litecoin is more in this year.
But the next year the price of ethereum will rise in huge amount because many ICO are based on ethereum which may creates huge demand in 2018 and the price of ethereum maybe skyrockting like bitcoin did in 2017.But these are just predictions we need to wait to know what will happen.
