121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: JSEcoin | Browser mining | ASIC resistant! *40JSE/day on RPi* on: May 22, 2019, 03:45:17 PM

I don't want to cast negativity on JSECOIN since I am also a holder and still mining it through my blogs, but they should address all the issue about their token, and do something on the price, we need more exchange or more good platform to push the price.

The problem with JSECOIN is bigger than just they have a blockchain or not. The problem is, the token has no purpose.

Let's say it has its own blockchain and you are really getting tokens with mining. What is the purpose of coins? What is that blockchain for, just mining? What are the specs of that blockchain, is that coin is for payment? It has very unknowns and not a single purpose.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: JSEcoin | Browser mining | ASIC resistant! *40JSE/day on RPi* on: May 21, 2019, 05:27:57 PM
Actually, they did try to make an ico. When i was first using their website (when it was something new and i thought it can be something which didn't happen) they started to send emails about the token sale. But i am not sure they did an ico or not.

Also, the scam doesn't necessarily ask for an ico. They are listed on an exchange and if there is no blockchain it means they are giving false information to investors. And maybe they are dumping their coins on that exchange.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the Veil Project Mining- Privacy without Compromise on: May 21, 2019, 05:23:45 PM
I am trying to install the Veil wallet for the past 3 weeks and it is not yet completed. The rate of progress is like 0.5% per hour and now after almost one month, it is around 89% completed. The most frustrating thing is that sometimes it crashes all of a sudden and then starts from a much earlier point (like 70% or 75%) and then progress at snail's pace.

Your computer is very slow, mine were doing %4-5 for an hour. Also, you don't need to sync for weeks, just use a snapshot.

Here is the details (where can you find a snapshot and how to use it): https://veil.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/43000478708-how-to-use-a-snapshot

124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian btc traders suicide paying off senior cop for investment made during ATH on: May 21, 2019, 05:21:01 PM
I am done getting sad about this kind of people.

They are borrowing money for bitcoin to go all in! I mean, this is basically gambling with debt, i can't all-in into crypto even with my money and they are borrowing money for it and not even from a bank or a financial institute. Yeah maybe you can win once or twice but at the end, you will end up with a debt you can't repay. The result is he killed himself tragic but i am not feeling anything.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinGecko is introducing "Trust Score" to combat fake exchange volume on: May 19, 2019, 03:28:15 PM
I was very happy with the initiative but i think it needs to upgrade a lot. You can open a feedback area just to do this. Because holders always know is there any real volume on that exchange or not. It is very easy to find out also.

For instance, https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/semux?utm_content=semux&utm_medium=search_coin&utm_source=coingecko in here, tokok btc/sem pair looks trusted but I know it is fake and only stex has real volume for semux and others are just fake.

https://www.tokok.com/market?symbol=SEM_BTC  just watch a little bit. First, look to the order sheet and later start to watch trade history. You would understand something in right in 5 minutes.

You are on the right path with trust score but if you can't give accurate information you would harm the ecosystem more than fake volume.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacked Cryptocurrency Exchange Cryptopia Goes Into Liquidation on: May 19, 2019, 11:43:17 AM
i dont understand what liquidation means. but i have 2000$ worth of bitcoins. and i have 50$ worth of skycoin. am i going to get this back? they said months. wtf?

They did let people withdraw %85 of their btc for last month, sorry that you missed. I was lucky enough to save mine (%85).

They are now liquidation period and i doubt they will pay anything after it is over. In ideal world, cryptopia's debt to us should be the priority because they are our money after all but right now we will take remaining after all debts paid (taxes, fees, liquidators salary, workers salary and etc.) so don't expect anything but if something they pay you at the end, be happy.
127  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Seeking review on binance DEX on: May 19, 2019, 11:32:29 AM
I just tried binance dex and it was disappointed. I thought they will make a blockchain which can support multiple blockchains and all tokens listed on dex could turn into bnb. So what i did expect is a crosschain dex. It is hard to make but they have resources.

But instead of that, i found a forkdelta on a different chain or idex maybe. An exchange you can only trade on-chain tokens. They are basically forcing projects to swap on their blockchain to get listed.

They had a chance to make something great, something unique and instead, they did something shady.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening to Rentberry? on: May 19, 2019, 11:12:38 AM
It seems they are not a scam but still a shitcoin.

Rentberry was a hype project and raised 27.5m $. It is a rental platform which you can make an auction for your rentals (for that website need enormous userbase which they don't and won't). Ico price was 0.35$ and now $0,001243 per token. So investors still holding this token lost %99.7 so far.

And in return of their loss, rentberry choose to silence them and turn into announcement channel.

The downfall we live cause of projects like rentberry. Hyped but doesn't make any sense.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you are regretting not encashing read this ' on: May 18, 2019, 08:18:16 PM
Years of experience showed me that, you can't buy at the lowest point and you can't sell at the highest. The best way is to earn while trading is, make a target and sell when you reach that. And never get saddened because it grows after you sell, think about there is a buyer who got it from you and he should earn some profit too.

If you sell anything just don't look back. And if you hold anything don't blame yourself because you didn't sell just set a level which you think it will enough for you, don't be greedy. And eventually, you will earn a good profit.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WPP Energy tokens? on: May 18, 2019, 02:52:36 PM
So even after pump price seems to be 0.002$ and just checked icobench 0.0650 USD is their ico price and they allegedly raised around 60m $.

If a project dropped 1/30 after ico, i can easily say it is a shitcoin and for people who read and may want to buy make your dyor, it is a risky project and positive posts are just shilling. By the way with 60m $(again if it is true), i think they can find better exchanges than trade.io and digifinex.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinGecko is introducing "Trust Score" to combat fake exchange volume on: May 18, 2019, 02:47:16 PM
I prefer mostly coigecko to coinmarketcap because they add more coins and i have way many shittokens which i can track on coingecko. They just need to improve their visual a bit. And after that act, they passed to the next level. Even i don't use there much, i hope coinmarketcap would enable similar thing for sake of the crypto world.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is eBay looking to accept cryptocurreny on its platform? on: May 18, 2019, 02:40:30 PM
That ebay logo is odd but if it was a hoax they would announce it way before now. I can't agree is it real or fake. If it is real that would be great news for cryptoworld.

First, this news came out, i thought utrust will get used (they also said big announcement coming, and this is what basically do) but they announced something else.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Winter: Can We Prevent it From Happening Again? on: May 16, 2019, 08:53:59 PM
Bitcoin winter had two reasons in my opinion. First of all, it is market cycle, you can't prevent that. But the second reason is why it happened that deeply and long. The greed! Lots and lots of people bought shitcoins, investing into shitty projects, tokens pumped without any reason. And that greed poisoned the market. It make the fall deeper and longer.

So if we start to act wisely and don't become too greedy, the next market cycle won't be that bad.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinGecko is introducing "Trust Score" to combat fake exchange volume on: May 15, 2019, 07:36:55 PM
It is good thinking but i would prefer something other than this: " Average Daily User Trading Volume (ADUTV) for each exchange."

It is very easy to check if an exchange has a fake volume or not. You enter a pair and watch trades a minute or so. And if an exchange faking any volume its volume shouldn't consider at all. If all listing websites act like that no exchange would fake volume.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining low difficulty coins on: May 15, 2019, 07:15:40 PM
For the best profit, you need to mine a coin before hitting on exchange.

If the coin doesn't have any official value, fewer people tend to mine it but if you find a promising one at the beginning, you can earn a lot of profit after hitting exchanges. But the problem is, most of that coins die before hitting any exchange. So you need to choose wisely.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the Veil Project Mining- Privacy without Compromise on: May 15, 2019, 07:11:25 PM
About the price dump, actually, veil is holding way better than i expected.

Btc pump crashed every coin and also veil distributed first round of bounty. But loss is very limited and there are more buy orders than first bounty round on vinex.
137  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange hacked on: May 15, 2019, 07:08:48 PM
I don't think they did trade with customer funds and lost because bitcoin pumped more than anticipated, at least i hope so.

They did let people withdraw %85 of their btc balance after the hack and even they are liquidating the exchange, they should let people withdraw whatever they can. I am one of the lucky users has only lost around 200$. It is not a very small amount but compared to what can happen, i can accept this loss.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Biggest Crypto Exchange Heists in History on: May 13, 2019, 05:14:14 PM
Crypto exchange hacks (if they are really hacking not an inside job) are part of the crypto so far. But that article seems odd. I have never heard an exchange called zaif and they are fifth? Above binance and cryptopia?

Well after checking the article they were Japanese exchange which tells why i am not aware of them. But still, cryptopia lost all of its ethereum and %15 of their binance. I think that would be higher than 60m $.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Whales May Be Behind The Current Bitcoin Surge on: May 13, 2019, 05:10:36 PM
bitcoin surge happens when fiat moves to exchanges and if whales were behind it then you had to look at their bank accounts where they trasfer fiat to buy bitcoin increasing its price, not the bitcoin blockchain!!!

ps. we had 4 huge news today leading to this rise. 5 if you count the price rise and the FOMO itself:
1. Microsoft launching a tool on bitcoin blockchain
2. eBay supposedly planning to accept bitcoin
3. BAKKT announced futures
4. Starbucks, Nordstrom, whole foods now accept bitcoin payments

p.ps. the drop below $6k was whale manipulation months ago. this is just market going back to normal after that manipulation was over.

That news was there for months but bitcoin continued to losing value.

Btc is actully has a better shape than when it was 20k $. And that was just manipulation. Because it is very cheap (compared to regular markets) to speculate bitcoin market, they are playing with the market. They made it cheap while it was valuable and make lots of people to sell their bitcoins. It seems they think it is time to fly now.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOST time to buy ? on: May 13, 2019, 05:06:37 PM
Right now it seems it is not a good time to invest in alts. Everybody including me waiting for an alt party for some time but btc growing continuously. It may seem cheap but if btc continues this trend, it can become cheaper. Just my two cents.
