2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zclassic, Zcash Fork No Premine, No 20% Founders Tax on: September 19, 2019, 04:00:01 AM
What new Zclassic introduced technically ?   Nothing ... Its just a poor copy of ZCash with few modifications... Only innovative coins can be valuable not clones of them. Additionaly this clone (Zclassic) turned out to be scam (similar to bitcoin private of the same team).

Monero was a pure 1:1 copy of Bytecoin early on, look where it is today. Has it progressed to add more features in time, absolutely, but like zclassic it was a copy launched to correct a community grievance (that of bytecoin being massively premined likewise as zclassic gets rid of the founder’s reward).

Rhett’s antics with btcp are irrelevang to zclassic, the fact is it is still a fairly launched coin that people were paying several dollars for long before its fork drama and there is a new team running things now anyway. It is starting to finally deviate from zCash by going asic-resistant as well.

I’m not expecting $200 again anytime soon but $5-$10 are absolutely doable and would still maintain a modest marketcap. It’s got enough fundamentals for me to gamble on.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BSV] [Bitcoin SV] Original Satoshi Vision on: September 16, 2019, 05:01:20 PM

With a couple of months of full blocks the blockchain would be so big that only a handful of nodes would be able to run it. It will be a completely centralized coin. Pretty far from "Satoshi's vision" if you ask me.

I don't have a dog in the core vs bch/bsv fight although I do find what BSV is doing is interesting, whether it will succeed long-term who knows. But one thing I've always rejected is this idea that everyone should be running nodes. The only people who run coin nodes are nerds with an altruistic mindset run, there is virtually no incentive for the average person to contribute electricity and keep their computer on 24/7 or even worse, to dip into their own pocket to run a cloud server. Human beings are inherently selfish and the best way to entice someone to do something is pay them. This is the heart of capitalism. Miners get paid for the work they do, why shouldn't node operators, even if it is just a pittance in fees since the overhead is much cheaper? While cheap, it is still overhead though.

You know what is actually true decentralization? Millions of people actually spending and USING Bitcoin around the world and the numbers being so gargantuan that the governments of the world can never hope to shut it down. People distort what decentralization really is IMO. The fight in my mind should always be to evangelize and spread Bitcoin/crypto's use, not have academic arguments over which network of 0s and 1s is more spread apart than the other.

working fine: https://zeltrez.io/
working fine: https://explorer.zcl.zeltrez.io/

why did the price drop by 100% in 24 hours?

from 0.3$ to 0.00$

Probably a glitch somewhere, it hasn't been less than 27-31 cents on any of the exchanges for days.

anyway hotbit is live now
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zclassic, Zcash Fork No Premine, No 20% Founders Tax on: September 13, 2019, 04:39:38 PM

I think this is a very good project. I had 2000-3000 coins.
Now is a great opportunity to mine this coin on GPU or buy.

But so far there is a problem that pages with block explorers do not open.

Zeltrez is working.

Also FYI to everyone, the electrum wallet is updated and working

Your picture looks kind of scary like your just learning english for the first time and people owe you lots of money.

Is this like Global Token there is a pool somewhere that syncs on all algos?  Where do I mine ZCL now with my Z9 mini?

LOL actually the guy in my photo was known as the "gold man" in India and he was ironically killed and robbed for his gold. I just photoshopped a nice little Bitcoin logo around the chain :p

I'm not a miner, just a speculator, but afaik it's GPU-mineable only now. You might want to consider switching to other equihash coins like Zcash, Zel or Zencash.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zclassic, Zcash Fork No Premine, No 20% Founders Tax on: September 05, 2019, 12:58:58 PM

Ok I read everything I still don't understand Im mining at AikaPool equihash 200,9  is this hashing properly?  Everything looks legit.  Coinomi wallet is offline for maintanence of there algos I suppose but is this working properly?  When will I get this block reward.  I'm eager to buy a Z11 but so far just a Z9mini.  Its quiet just upgraded firmware seems to be back to stock batch 1 im happy now.  Anyway Is this 192,7 or 200,9 is this like global token and nearly all the bases covered with multi algo but wouldn't the port be different maybe I can hash 192,7 too?  Anyway whats going on?

P.S. Where is the X11 I bought that will put all the crypto exchanges out of business.

The coin just forked to be ASIC-resistant yesterday, your ant miners won't work now, only GPUs.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zclassic, Zcash Fork No Premine, No 20% Founders Tax on: September 05, 2019, 02:55:23 AM
Bunch of scammers ONLY running this project. Don't go anywhere near ZCL. Just another crytpo scam....actually the biggest scam and it just gets recycled. Discord ZCL is full of scammers as well and they will steal your coins.

Amazing people still crying about this years later, no one was obligated to buy the top of a huge parabolic pump just to get some lousy free coins. I have yet to see what the “scam” in zclassic was other than butthurt people who lost out in in one of the craziest pumps of the bull market. You knew when you were buying it was going to crash hard, you knew the rollercoaster ride was only temporary.

So where’s the scam, the chain was fairly mined and a small but hardcore community of devs have kept it up-to-date with zcash’s updates, no ICO money was taken, no devs exit scammed leaving the github dead. It has no founder’s rewards and as of today it’s asic-resistant. What Rhett did or didn’t do with bitcoin private is irrelevant to zcl itself. It’s a solid POW privacy coin and an insanely modest marketcap, I think it’s a good buy.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: New [ANN] [$XSEED] BitSeeds - Rainforest Foundation Charity - SHA256 PoW/PoS 10% on: April 03, 2018, 04:23:02 PM
I want to apologize if I came across a little rash, it's been pretty emotional as I invested quite a bit into the coin and never sold a dime of it. It seemed like one of the more honest projects in the crypto space compared to all the fly-by-night pump and dumps I felt confident in its future.

I know you devoted alot effort to trying to get the project back off the ground Worth especially when most people had abandoned and moved on, and I appreciate your efforts.

Knowing now that Ubiq and Bittrex seemed to give you the run-around is even more disappointing.

I'm just worried now that Bittrex has closed ALL Withdrawals that they are just going to delete the wallet .dat's and leave investors high and dry if it does get back off the ground someday?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Co-founders of Centra Tech arrested on: April 03, 2018, 04:19:08 PM
If the SEC really wants to make an example they'd arrest Floyd Mayweather and DJ Khaled too, I'm sure they weren't ignorant with what was really going on.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: New [ANN] [$XSEED] BitSeeds - Rainforest Foundation Charity - SHA256 PoW/PoS 10% on: March 20, 2018, 10:33:02 PM
Anything happening with XSEED?
i found an old wallet.dat for bitseeds but cant do anything with them

Looks like Bittrex is delisting the wallet, but there's no way to get coins out anyway

Sad, got totally screwed by a charity that led its backers on for almost 2 years with promises of a revival that never came. Blaming Bryce Weiner is no excuse anymore.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BTCP] BitcoinPrivate: A Truly Private Bitcoin [Equihash] on: January 07, 2018, 06:17:24 AM
First Zclassic, then Zen and Bitcoin Private now.

You idiots seeing a pattern yet?

 Roll Eyes

This is the irony I find in forks like Monero or Zclassic, the original intent of their creation is anger over developer premines when all you're doing is trading one dev team getting rich for another.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to invest to BCH? on: August 08, 2017, 02:49:54 PM
I think once Segwit locks in is when things will get interesting. It's possible we might see alot of miners leave out of spite, they agreed to lock Segwit in, not to support it though. In fact activating it gives them a better excuse to leave the old chain.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QRL - Announcing the Quantum Resistant Ledger on: August 01, 2017, 02:26:11 PM
Someone said on twitter that public testnet would be released today? Any truth to this?

Edit: looks like it

https://twitter.com/QRLedger/status/892483479576989696

Public test net goes live soon™...oops. I mean it goes live at 0000 GMT+1 (6 pm CST)! Stay tuned! More comments and updates to come!
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QRL - Announcing the Quantum Resistant Ledger on: July 29, 2017, 12:28:11 PM
Bad publicity is a good publicity.
Quantum Resistant Ledger definitely getting some attention now, it was so freakin quiet here.
Let's see where will take us this beef between the team...

Honestly I never heard of the coin before I spotted the huge drop on bittrex and wondered what was up, then saw all the drama. I immediately bought in, at the minimum if it goes back to what it was 2 days ago it's a nice return. If it can get back to what it was in June an even nicer return. I imagine if the devs can come through and build a truly QT resistant coin it will make some waves in the crypto world.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CVC] CIVIC Tokensale Successfully Completed on: July 19, 2017, 12:13:07 PM
Why to pay for identification?

Lifelock pulled in almost $600m in revenue last year, identity protection is big business, it's a pain in the ass if you've ever had yours stolen.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Adult project idea on: July 11, 2017, 03:19:40 PM
Sexcoin, Wankcoin, Titcoin...it's been tried numerous times.

Not saying someone can't succeed but just bear in mind it's not a new idea.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If all the FUD is about Bitcoin split, why Altcoins are falling? lol on: July 11, 2017, 03:16:01 PM
Most of the panic is manufactured, you mean to tell me everyone woke up this weekend and decided to all get scared at once about August 1st?

It is whales mass dumping everywhere to create the terror and they make money that way.

Sure there is some legitimacy to the fears about a blockchain split but believe it or not there are alot of people who don't follow this blocksize debate religiously and instead what gets their attention is falling prices because it affects their bottom line.  It's the price action not the news that drives the panic.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: METAL is fullPreSale Insider Trading-Bittrex Listing on: July 10, 2017, 09:18:35 PM
You do know the slack was open for several months before the ICO and you could freely buy from Marshall OTC?

No one asked 1,000 people to show up to the slack only days before the planned ICO, if you guys wanted METAL so bad where were you weeks ago?

Yeah it sucks the ICO got canceled, but most were only in for a quick flip without giving a damn about the coin or the community and would have dumped it opening day. Also why shouldn't people who bought 6 months ago reap the rewards versus people who showed up at the midnight hour?

If you really care or know about the coin you'd know even at this price it's still cheap for what it will be in the future.
