501  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Turkish Daily Accuses Govt. of Sending Arms to Syria Rebels on: May 30, 2015, 05:12:47 PM

True. Money is the main reason when helping the others. I think US help ISIS too with weapons supporting. Aren't you curious why US with high technologies military couldn't beat ISIS? If ISIS lose, no more consumers to US weapons manufacturer.

Aren't you curious why Iraqi troops with US weapons and Iranian advisers couldn't beat ISIS?

Maybe ISIS was created by Iran as an excuse to expand their Shiite crescent in Syria, Yemen and Iraq.

Of course I have no evidence for this either but welcome to the internet where we can make shit up  Smiley
502  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Silk Road Operator Ross Ulbricht to Be Sentenced Today on: May 30, 2015, 04:55:56 PM

I don't think he necessarily was all about money. I don't think he is someone who is all about the rich lifestyle. I think his problem was he was about power. The fact that he tried to have people killed is a bit disturbing because you don't leave a trail to your computer. But maybe that was his problem. He left all the evidence for everyone to find. How can people be so smart and dumb at the same time? I would have been out of the country living my life. But now he is stuck behind bars. Reminds me of the sandlot where the kid says "forever."

It is truly Breaking Bad come to life, he went full Heisenberg and even left everything in his diary like Walt leaving the Whitman/Gus book behind the toilet for Hank to find (another dumb move).

I can imagine Ross sitting at his laptop telling himself I'm not in the drug or the money business I'm in the empire business!
503  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu demands ‘up to $45 bn’ in US military aid on: May 30, 2015, 04:50:20 PM
Helping Israel is convenient for US because Israel is an "island" on a difficult terrain. Middle East is difficult for US yet very important because of oil, so having someone in the region that you can relay on is helpful. $4.5 billion a year is a healthy sum but if 70% of that will be used to pump up US military market then that's not a bad deal.

+1 we get alot of intelligence from the Mossad so it pays for itself, not to mention the civilian benefits we get from Israeli scientists and doctors who are always discovering new things.

And I don't care what people say, if we threw the Jews in the ocean it's not going to make the Muslim world like us any more or less. Once Israel is gone then they'll be demanding Spain/Al-Andalus back next, it's just a game nothing more.
504  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Silk Road Operator Ross Ulbricht to Be Sentenced Today on: May 30, 2015, 04:34:47 PM
The excuse I keep hearing from the bleeding hearts is he wasn't "convicted" of the attempted murder charges.

Well Mark Karpeles wasn't convicted of stealing people's Bitcoins either but that doesn't stop him from being sentenced in the court of public opinion.

Occam's Razor suggests regardless of how corrupt the US Justice Dept is, the amount of overwhelming evidence shows Ross DID try to have these people killed, we can go on about how he was an Eagle Scout and loves his mom and all that Hallmark crap but greed is a powerful thing and the millions he made hoarding Bitcoins proves it went beyond just a simple experiment for him but a lust for riches.

Next time you hear a dev say they need tens of thousands of dollars to code a coin remember these guys made a bomb-ass special fx laden movie for $1000
and got it on the shelves in Best Buy

Dont trade using your emotions, that all.

Trading with common sense doesn't really work much in crypto either though, some of the best, most advanced coins are in the dumps while stupid clone shit pumps.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRON] Positron Technologies Corporation - Building a Blockchain Company on: May 28, 2015, 03:56:28 AM
Can I ask an honest question CW, not criticizing or throwing stones, just getting in the state of mind of an average alt developer.

Why is it I've noticed the prevailing excuse for why a coin is abandoned is it always seems to revolve around a lack of funds or not getting paid as reason to not go forward? I've been involved in several projects over my lifetime with friends or colleagues developing an iphone app, a few mobile games, an ipad holder accessory etc. where none of us got paid but we hoped we could profit off selling the product when it is completed or pitching it to venture capitalists.

It's not something we did from 8-5 but worked after hours on our own free time. I'm not a programmer so I honestly can't judge how many hours it takes to develop a crypto project but is it really not something where someone who is dedicated can't find time to code an hour or two in the evenings or on the weekends while working a day job?

I think this idea that alt coin creation should be a way to pay the bills is the exact reason alt volume is dying. It creates fragmentation, instead of one developer pouring his heart and soul into ONE coin for 6 months and working only on it and trying to make the best product possible that could one day reach a market cap of millions, they instead take the easy route and pump out a quick copy paste coin every few days to appease the miners and the day 1 buyers hoping for a quick flip. This is fine for the cynics who make their little profit and leave but it leaves a sour taste in peoples mouth for everyone who buys at the top and holds believing the bullshit this is a long term project with potential.

Remember what started the "Alts are back," meme in the first place, it was Crave coming out and a good developer actually releasing new features on a regular basis instead of just promising bullshit 6 months down the road with generic road maps. This actually got people excited again, but instead it gets ruined by a dozen train wrecks of broken Crave clones that sucked everyones profits. Now everyone is running around crying why the volume is gone....

510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Sharkcoin surging in trade volume? on: May 26, 2015, 11:27:05 PM
The Chinese crypto public believe an old Herbal medicine legend that buying and consuming Shark Coin will make your junk bigger hence the price.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash is dying in front of everyone's eyes and no-one seems to care, why is that? on: May 26, 2015, 11:21:06 PM
Brandingwise people just don't have the same confidence in Dashcoin as they did when it was Darkcoin - consequently it's seen by many as too high risk.

Also, there still exist deep divisions within the community about the premine - divisions which aren't helping overall morale

+1

There were alot of people able to overlook the premine issue as long as the tech and branding was there, but now even that is in question

That goddamn "Dash Dalmation" spamming on twitter is probably the gayest thing i've ever seen (no offense to homosexuals)

514  Economy / Economics / Re: Question for those who bought/mined BTC when it was mere pennies & held strong on: May 21, 2015, 11:14:51 PM
I doubt the big holders will want to out themselves. Read the posts of prominent members with an account started in 2010, 2011, 2012.

Answering with a newbie account is fine if they wish to hide their ID too.
515  Economy / Economics / Re: US Dollar collapse in 2015? (2) on: May 21, 2015, 10:44:40 PM

Yes the BRICS have problems too, i dont deny that, but whatever problem China has, the Western World has 1000x worse.

The ponzi scheme is glo

I'm not an economics expert but from a layman perspective what intrigues me is how countries like China and India are buying up Gold and Silver while the West is doing all it can to FUD precious metals. Hell I am not even sure there is any gold left in Ft. Knox. If STHF they at least have something to fall back on. There is something to be said about ancient civilizations knowing what to rely upon through centuries of wars and economic crisis.
516  Economy / Economics / Question for those who bought/mined BTC when it was mere pennies & held strong on: May 21, 2015, 10:30:33 PM
I won't ask how wealthy/not wealthy you are, but if you acquired BTC at an insanely cheap price and managed to hold through all the several price rises and crashes to late 2013 when it hit an upwards of $1000, tell me, what was your secret to having such strong hands? And did you sell or are you still holding?
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: May 21, 2015, 06:31:13 PM
I do not understand markets, volume 35 BTC and the price is still the same . It is arbitration? Thank you  Wink

Major accumulation, if you think this is going to a dollar someday why would you want to raise the price?

Btw what Mossad agents would agree to go on a suicide mission? They don't believe 72 virgins are waiting for them in the afterlife.
