They buying lambo. Grin Grin

There was a guy on slack talking about same stuff like you, and zcoin community banned him.

He was banned because he came in every day spouting the same FUD talking points and if you challenged him on it, he'd refuse to back up or defend his statements with proof.

There is a difference between a debate and a rant.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin - The Zerocoin cryptocurrency, guaranteeing financial privacy on: November 02, 2016, 04:42:43 AM

No reason for this coin to be so highly priced, set some buys between 10 - 30K, don't hold all the way down.
Start buying when the early bag holders dump out of desperation.

Highly priced? Snakeoil Navcoin with Soopy the photoshop "cryptographer" is worth 5x more than working zerocoin tech, it's crazy really. This is why we need to get on Polo, even the scam coins prosper over there with its daily volume.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Zcash? on: November 01, 2016, 03:34:00 PM

Huh? Funded by taxpayer money? Why would the taxayer have in interest in anon-coins? Quite the opposite should be the case. I was expecting for anoncoins to be outlawed sooner or later and now they fund them instead?

Yeah, right  Roll Eyes

I'm just talking the politics of it, it is crony capitalism at its best, taking non-profit grants to fund your LLC venture.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When does Zcoin launch? on: November 01, 2016, 03:15:28 PM
It's already launched, only on bittrex.com and a few smaller exchanges though, Polo has still yet to add it.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Zcash? on: November 01, 2016, 01:51:41 PM

Its not uncommon for scientific projects to be funded by US and European Union grants (like the ones listed for Zcash). Im much more concerned about the trusted setup.

Heh, personally i'm more offended they are taking taxpayer money while also taking investor backing AND 20% of the mining rewards. Why do they need grants with all this private backing?
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ZCASH Technicals vs Bitcoin Anonymity on: November 01, 2016, 01:41:53 PM

I'm more concerned that a bug is found in the protocol, and that coins can be created, without anybody knowing..

This.  The dev rewards on both Zcoin and Zcash are already so high that I don't think the devs would abuse the inflation rate and risk the whole system collapsing when they can be wealthy alone off the coins minted. What I worry more is another DAO-type hacker who finds an exploit in Zcash and abuses it silently. That is one positive strength about zcoin is it has a public blockchain so people would notice.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Iceland vote for Bitcoin and Auroracoin? on: November 01, 2016, 01:34:25 PM
Bitcoin might get adopted, but I doubt Auroracoin will, why would they place themselves under the mercy of a non-citizen who premined at their expense?

Because free coins are still free coins, Bitcoin they'd have nothing to start from and would have to buy someone else's bags with their own money. How can Aurora be "at their expense" when they got them for free?

I remember all the negativity towards Aurora when it first launched, I don't recall any finger-pointing Bitcoin whales offering to airdrop some of their coins around the world to spread adoption...

2. This is a new coin, and really untested, but the market cap of all 21 million coins is $50 M
No wonder the sellers are crushing the price.

Does anyone really think this coin is cheap?

Well if we're going to calculate present marketcaps based on coin supply years down the road then how do we calculate Monero with its infinite supply?
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: - AURORACOIN - on: October 29, 2016, 02:55:05 PM
Let's say the pirate party does form a coalition or outright wins majority seats, what would be considered a reasonable time frame for Bitcoin and Auroracoin to become legal tender if they announced that was their first priority and the process for such a thing to be enshrined in law? 6 months, a year?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin - The Zerocoin cryptocurrency, guaranteeing financial privacy on: October 28, 2016, 01:12:19 PM
Looks like a lot of people mistakenly think that Zcoin is a "Zcash" fork which can't be further from the truth. I posted this elsewhere but thought it would be good to have it here as well:

If someone asks you about Zcoin or thinks it's a Zcash clone, just tell them it's Zerocoin.

I know the devs had to name it Zcoin for obvious reasons but it basically IS Zerocoin.

People in crypto have short attention spans, if they start challenging you on it then you can explain the details of the history and relation/non-relations to the protocol but for now i'd just be ballsy and call it Zerocoin to someone's face.

Personally if it was up to me i'd change the coin name to Zerocoin and be done with it, afaik the name wasn't copyrighted and if the Zcash team raises a stink, it's free advertising :p
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VOXELS (VOX) | The Official Coin of Virtual Reality and Voxelus Platform on: October 27, 2016, 09:53:16 PM
The sad part about all this is any money Halsey Minor made off this P&D probably doesn't even pay off .5-1% of what he owes to his collectors, he literally screwed hundreds if not thousands of investors, many working class folks with a dream just to pay off what is a minute fraction of his debt.

That is the character of this man.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: - AURORACOIN - on: October 27, 2016, 04:33:07 PM
If someone can jog my memory, is there an article or blurb anywhere talking about the Pirate Party's position on Auroracoin? I know the founder is pro Bitcoin but have they endorsed AUR at all?
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin - The Zerocoin cryptocurrency, guaranteeing financial privacy on: October 27, 2016, 03:43:49 PM
there is trust issues with ZCash, its all dependent if people can trust the ZCash devs.
Both coins have there issues its all dependent on which is most trusted while been practical in real world scenarios.

I don't even worry as much about the Zcash devs but more a hacker finding an exploit and keeping his method hidden while he secretly mints coins.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: - AURORACOIN - on: October 26, 2016, 08:49:40 PM
Not to rain on the parade but no bankers in Iceland are spending decades in prison, most are spending 3-5 years max, it's when you combine the sentences in total of them all they add up to "decades" which is really deceptive. Also Iceland doesn't exactly have harsh prisons either compared to America.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin - The Zerocoin cryptocurrency, guaranteeing financial privacy on: October 26, 2016, 06:01:24 PM

ASICs actually ARE good from a network security standpoint. But that's neither here nor there - most people can take the time to learn how to utilize AWS, don't blame others for your laziness.

The thing that gets lost in all of this is mining SHOULD be hard, it's not easy to mine gold, why should crypto mining be the same? To me the more difficult to accomplish such a task, the more value it gives to it.

I work hard at my dayjob to accumulate extra funds to buy crypto, likewise why shouldn't a miner have to put in a little work to get their share as well?
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: - AURORACOIN - on: October 25, 2016, 01:04:45 PM
58% up in a day? Doesn't seem like a natural growth.

I'd guess it's because the Pirate Party is poised to win elections and they are pro-crypto.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin - The Zerocoin cryptocurrency, guaranteeing financial privacy on: October 25, 2016, 03:43:59 AM

The inflation is very different for fiat vs Zcoin.

For fiat 2% inflation in next year equates to inflation of 0.005% daily.

For ZEC, 1000% inflation in next year equates to 3% daily inflation rate.

Good luck with buying ZEC now and holding it long term.

It's all about supply and demand. I think most here wished they could have bought Bitcoin in the first few thousand blocks regardless of its inflation.

Avoid trex, the least credibility they ever had has been amputated by irresistible greed.

There is absolutely nothing Trex has done that Polo hasn't done before themselves. I don't know where this image of Bittrex as a scam exchange and Polo as a white knight one came from to be honest.

So how in the hell do these people get so high hash rates?

Slut is working overtime on the streets?
