421  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jeb Bush: People Need to Work Longer Hours on: July 09, 2015, 10:17:33 PM
I don't like Bush but the media is spinning what he was actually talking about.

He was speaking out against the practice of companies hiring part-time employees for 30 hours or less and we need to get more people back to full-time work.

For those interested or still on the fence they might read a bit about the WIR Bank and the WIR Franc which is the model for Naut. I think private and decentralized competing currencies are the future which is something Dr. Rand Paul has advocated for years and Bitcoin will not be the end-all digital currency. Competition is a GOOD thing.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WIR_Bank

"Although WIR started with only 16 members, today it has grown to include 62,000. Total assets are approximately 3.0 billion CHF, annual sales in the range of 6.5 billion (6.8 billion USD!), as of 2005."

For those laughing at how this program is starting with only 1,000 residents, look what kind of purchasing power just 62k people can do in Switzerland alone.

Plus if its successful there is no reason the currency can't spread out from there.

PS: Once this project take off (CNBC, news, world and wall street will be talking about it), soon, a lot of strong investors around the world will join in NAUT. Can you imagine? They dont easily sell at profit, which will make the price stabilized with a small fluctuation. And market cap will probably compete with top 6 coins... Mark my words. And the project is near! So buy while it is cheap and hold on to it. Dont get tempted to sell... You will regret.

+1 this is why i'm buying, all the butthurt kids with their 100 dollar allowances to play in crypto can whine all they like but if you are a typical Wallstreet exec, where are you going to put your money, Another bobsurplus crank em' out and dump em' coin or one created by a respected CNBC host and financial adviser that is licensed/endorsed/supported by a Greek municipal government? It's a no brainer.

No big surprise one chinese guy in a suit is doing more to bring in new money than the entire BTC Foundation.

Heh I address this article here.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1114042.msg11827163#msg11827163

The author of the article hasn't published an article in an entire year yet comes out of retirement to go after Naut of all things, it's not factual because Naut is not built on coingen, and even if it was can the author toss stones at it when he offers his own coin creation service on the front page of his website!

427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Greece agrees to test parallel cryptocurrency on small island on: July 08, 2015, 11:27:57 PM

Not relevant because it's not true. Naut is not made with coingen, he originally made a coin in coingen for fun and then later hired the Digibyte crew to build the actual coin for him we know today.

Also how convenient this guy hasn't updated his site in a year and with all the millions of scam coins on BTCtalk decides to come out of retirement to take a swipe at this, who is the one with an agenda?

Also I don't think BK has ever claimed Naut is going to "dethrone" the market from Bitcoin as this guy proclaims. It's a niche coin for a tiny area, nothing more.

Here is a choice quote from the CNBC article that has the author in a tizzy.

Quote
In addition to being able to use the coin online for purchases, I believe there is a fertile market for small business.

Wow what a braggart Kelly is, targeting small businesses, the guy is just outright greedy and looking to build an empire ain't he?  Cheesy

Also it's funny how the site disses on coingen while offering a coin creation service  Cheesy

Edit: oh it's your site Hazard! Should have known  Wink

Btw the town will also be adopting NXT and Supernet as well but I don't see anyone bitching about that.

This was the expectation: either Nxt or a token created with the MonetarySystem but it's still unconfirmed, the news of Nautiluscoin has been a total surprise for Nxt community. Its relation with Nxt, if any, is still a mistery. The guy behind this project has promised a lot more news but for now there are more questions than answers!

I'll admit it comes as a surprise to me, I was led to believe BK had abandoned Naut and was instead propping up NXT now, but to me he finally did good on his investors in finding SOME use case for the coin unlike alot of devs around here who cut and run when things don't go their way.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Greece agrees to test parallel cryptocurrency on small island on: July 08, 2015, 05:47:45 PM
Stopped reading when I read nautiluscoin in the article.. What a bullshit news, has no value at all.. Please bring something real next time.

The logo was actuallay pretty cool Cheesy One of the best I've seen around imo. Would be cool to see some life back into it. We can all wish Wink

It's always amusing to read what coins people praise while bashing others.

out of all coins why naut coin there are 1000 times better coins than naut

after the auroracoin disaster no thank you

Because these coins are coded by 16yo kids in their basement which they create to pump and dump to buy steam games. This is a coin created by a business professional to suit a purpose.

Sorry but people need to hurry up and recognize a currency is not a currency without real-world usage. Well finally we are getting some real world-use. You can jam pack it with all the coolest tech features you want but if there is no use for it then it is useless.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: July 08, 2015, 03:28:44 PM

Are you kidding me?   This is HUGE!!!

We should easily see at least 100,000 Satoshi and maybe way more.

Props to Bryan Kelly.

It's funny to see all the kiddies on here who go around every day parroting every weekly P&D shitcoin suddenly saying "what, why would they use Naut, not Bitcoin, this is bullshit blah blah blah"
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: July 08, 2015, 03:25:14 PM
Time for P&D #2, sorry folks of Angistri.

From the sound of it they'll be getting free coins so they aren't losing anything or being taken advantage of.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Greece agrees to test parallel cryptocurrency on small island on: July 08, 2015, 02:57:35 PM
I though we already were over with these country coin scams.

Tell me, how do you suggest Greece adopt Bitcoin? How will the nation buy Bitcoin with money they don't have to give to people who have no clue what a digital currency is? The challenges are all the same for crypto whether its Bitcoin or a lowly alt. I don't get the negativity, this is a small pilot program for a few thousand people, the Greeks on this island have nothing to lose as it sounds like they will be given the currency for free, how are they getting scammed exactly?

"Over the coming weeks, the infrastructure for this project will be rolled out and the citizens of Agistri will receive Nautiluscoin to begin transacting."

I'm only speculating here - but could BK be the one buying up coins at the moment to give out to the citizens of Agistri?

It's more than likely he bought the 400k coins or more yes.

However I did panic buy back in this morning because this is historic, the first cryptocoin blessed by a nation state.
436  Economy / Speculation / Re: 4000$ bitcoins in 4 months on: July 07, 2015, 04:18:02 AM

Impossible? You clearly don't have a clue what bitcoin is capable of. BTW, I'm all in since 2012. Now there is simply no point for me to buy any more bitcoins because the bitcoins that I could buy today with my monthly salary would be just a drop in the ocean in comparison to the coins I accumulated in 2011 and 2012.[/url]

This is what I find funny about the btc community, $4k btc sounds crazy yet it is nowhere near as crazy to me as the idea a couple of nerds cpu mined thousands of bitcoins for winter heating prices and turned those into $1,000 a piece.

Bitcoin's market cap is tiny, tiny tiny compared to a typical fortune 500 company or a few blocks of prime real estate in a major American city, it has alot of room to grow.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this beginning of a schism, LTC = China's coin, BTC = the West? on: July 07, 2015, 03:29:39 AM

I do not see Litecoin serving no useful purpose other than as a store of speculative value for Chinese gamblers.
Please do not misinterpret the latest Asian ltc pump as an indication of litecoin adoption, because there is virtually none, other than frenzied exchange trading.

Litecoin has very high volume in trading for whatever reason, but not because everyone is going to start using it and replacing bitcoin. When litecoin falls back down near a dollar, it will be quietly forgotten yet again, until the next pump.

Hell, I'm still waiting on Bitcoin adoption, there are less than a dozen places I can spent Bitcoin in my entire state, it has media name recognition but that's about it. I still think it's too early to disregard heated competition, and I say this as someone who generally dislikes LTC and doesn't see the big deal about it, but for whatever reason tne Chinese love it and they know how to move markets. Even if half the volume is fake it's hard to disregard what's in front of your eyes, it isn't going away anytime soon.

On the other hand, the price will rise when everybody knows pegging will happen soon

Of course because then the late bloomers will be scrambling to get in  Cheesy
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is this beginning of a schism, LTC = China's coin, BTC = the West? on: July 06, 2015, 06:21:59 PM
It seems to have been building up this way for awhile but I think with alot of the in-fighting among Bitcoin developers and the fact LTC seems to have had no drama to speak of for the last few years the Chinese are hedging their bets on Litecoin as the future. Call me crazy but it is entirely possible we could see LTC one day reach Bitcoin-level market caps. What does everyone else think?
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: July 06, 2015, 05:59:51 PM
The situation in crypto now is that good news and great features usually don't affect the price. Pegging and real trades, working market — that is what we need.

I've been trying to say for weeks now, if you think pegging can and will work, then why would you want a price rise? There is no way any whale is going to allow the price to rise when they can accumulate what could be a fortune in the near future.

Why fret over 50 satoshi Bays if you think $1 is on the horizon? It's worth throwing down 1 btc worth and just cold storing it for 6 months, i'd not worry about it. If the pegging doesn't work it you're out $250 bucks, if it does you're a millionaire, pretty good lottery ticket in my book.
