981  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Your Electricity Cost per Kwh (Which country is the Most Expensive) on: June 29, 2013, 08:58:28 PM
----------------------------------------------------------
Price per kWh      |      $0.085 (USD)
Current as @       |      June 2013
Provider              |      Amerin
State/Province     |      Central Illinois
Country              |       USA
----------------------------------------------------------

In my bill I'm only charged 4.5c per kwh but delivery adds up to another 4c per kwh.

It's currently costing me about $90 per month for 2 mining rigs totaling 4000kh/s and a window AC unit. That's $90 just for the room with the rigs in it, total LTC mined per month once cashed out is around $400, so after power I'm pulling about $310 profit per month. I keep track of the rest of the apartments electricity separately.

Currently doing drop shipping but once there's enough revenue coming in we will start buying stuff in bulk to put up for sale.

Btw, we just changed the item. Cheesy

Problem you will face soon is how to advertise your website. From my experience, there is not a single advertising deal worth putting money into.

I will just email other sites that take Bitcoin and pay them for traffic Cheesy
Just need a little button advertisement.

I also got $100 in adwords when I signed up for hosting so I'm using that. lol

I paid weebly to get them to stop nagging. I have a decent amount of money in on this site now. lol

There is going to be a really good deal tomorrow, don't forget to check the site. I will change the item at midnight cst.

Wouldnt put that up yet, you have a Looooong way to go before it will look legit

Everything starts out small. I expect DailyBit to grow, and I plan to put in the work to make that happen. Cheesy

Very good idea, but maybe to get rid off corporate happy-for-no-good-reason chick and add BTC and LTC amounts on the main page?

Agreed, lol.

Already done. Removing the Overly happy chick anyway. I need to find a solution to the dynamically changing price of LTC/BTC

Quote
Create a free website with Weebly

looks totally legit.

I just wanted to get it up fast and I don't have alot of money, its all tied up in LTC at the minute. lol

That site is amazing, easy and robust. I just need to pay them their $40 ransom to get rid of the nagging "Create a free website with Weebly" lol
Or move to a new host and edit the html files to get rid of the nag at the bottom of the page.

Its a work in progress. I don't have a cart system set up yet, currently doing everything manually. If it takes off I will invest more money into the site. I'm currently waiting on bitpay to get back to me, once I'm set up with them I will put in a proper checkout for Bitcoin, but until I find a service or work something else out, Litecoin will be manually done for awhile.

I'm up for suggestions, I'm looking for a free cart/checkout solution.

I like gox's checkout button, if it only asked for an address when someone pays and relayed that info to me it would be perfect.

I want to put the prices up in bitcoin and litecoin but the price has been really fluctuating lately, I would like to make it a dynamic amount depending on what it is trading for. Again if someone has an easy solution I'm all ears. Cheesy

I can verify that the original pizza is not in control of his own account. I have been talking to him outside of this forum for over 2 months, we have become pretty good friends. That person using the pizza account is not pizza. Give pizza his account back.

I have an old 6u P3 server with 4x 1ghz cpus, 2gb of ram and a 20gb 10k rpm drive.
The only thing useful out of it was the fans. The thing weighs over 100pounds so I could get some money scrapping it. Tongue

That server would still be very useful if it wasn't 6U.

It sounds like a jet engine. I used it as a game server back in the day, I thought about collocation but 6u is expensive, I ended up buying a blade server for that purpose. The fans in it are very powerful and very loud, one 80mm fan will blow your hair back. Cheesy

It just seems like too good of a deal and they actually have asic's in stock to ship. Should I invest in one or is it a scam?
998  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: power supply watts for 3-7950 on: June 22, 2013, 10:10:23 PM
I run 3x 7950s per rig and this is the only power supply I use.

I'm fairly certain I could do 4 cards per board, but I left that open for upgrade later. Cheesy

One system has a low power APU and the other has a low power AMD x4 either pulls like 65w.

Once the board layout is figured out would it be possible for me to etch my own board and source the parts and bake/solder it myself? I have etched boards b4 and have read/watched alot of videos about baking boards for surface mount components. Basically what I'm asking for is the board diagram and component list. lol
1000  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: dirt-cheap mining plus free electricity on: June 19, 2013, 05:33:29 AM
I have limited funds but electricity is included in my rent. All things considered, what's the cheapest reasonable way that I can get into mining?

Buy one of those big rigs!  but becareful as your electrical usage will attract the authorities ad they think you're growing weed.

lots of electricity usage means growing weed? wat?

no, it means lots of electricity usage.

Not according to the police. To the police high power usage means you must be growing pot and they can get a warrant on that basis alone. Buy cold pills and starter fluid in the same month you are looking at a visit by the police too. We don't live in a free country anymore. Its a police state. Anyone that doesn't see it is naive.
