Hi Dev can i participate in the Bounty campaign as newbie?

Hi Hanacho,

you can join our everything except the signature campaign!  Wink

Is it necessary to join both slack and telegram to participate in that bounty pool?

Or can I just do telegram?

Hi Mr.Ease,

you can only join telegram - no problem, but you would get more shares for joining both.   Grin

Hello Hunters of the Secret Challenge,

considering the problem with the Slack chat history we decided to create a bitcointalk.org thread where we are going to collect the clues for the secret challenge and/or the links to these clues.
We will also try to gather all useful articles, post's etc. about the secret challenge, which could be a help in solving it.
Dont forget to visit us at our Slack #secret_challenge, Twitter @Peculium and Peculium Facebook page to possibly find new clues!
Additionaly you can join the >> Peculium Bounty campaign << and earn PCL tokens while doing exactly that - a perfect win-win situation!

With this i wish everyone good luck and a lot of fun on the hunt for the 1.000.000 €!!! Wink

Here are the clues that were found so far:

1. The Memristor
(Wikipedia)

2. Alessandro Volta (Wikipedia)

Pioneer of electricity and power, who is credited as the inventor of the electrical battery.

Possible link: Nvidia Volta

3. Pinched hysteresis loop / similarity with loop, sine-wave function and "P" from Peculium

The memristor leads to hysteresis. The word means lagging behind. Hysteresis is not only used in physics to describe magnetic behavior, it can also be applied to economics:
When some negative shock reduces employment in a company or industry, fewer employed workers then remain. As usually the employed workers have the power to set wages, their reduced number incentivizes them to bargain for even higher wages when the economy again gets better instead of letting the wage be at the equilibrium wage level, where the supply and demand of workers would match. This causes hysteresis: the unemployment becomes permanently higher after negative shocks.

4. Geometrical patterns

Forecasts: Hysteresis, Time series, ARIMA

5. Quetzal

I UM 3 6 9 E V E

6. Tesla

"If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have a key to the universe." - Nikola Tesla

This hardware will be used to create a relatively affordable AI.

--> Volta + Tesla = ?

7. AIΞVE -> EVE = Equilibrium, Values, Ethics

From YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kg2vYFJ_R50
Thanks to AIEVE (Artificial Intelligence Balance Ethical Values), we introduce a formidable ability to bring savings into what it aspires for in the most beautiful way: stability and security.

Balance Ethical Values is translated to English from French equilibre, éthique, valeurs.

Also: Ethical parameters to enable transparancy and balance.

8. Saving is a part of us. It's one of our first subconscious needs; it's encrypted in our genes

1546  Economy / Reputation / Re: How do you guys feel about trust farming? on: November 14, 2017, 08:31:22 AM
If this is the case it is fine. Not knowing them seeing a pizza picture as reference for a 10 btc trade in 2017 was a pretty big red flag.
IMO it is not much different for leaving ratings for private trades. You can't really leave anything as a reference, can you?

I can half agree to that.
A thread with (possible) information on the trade is always better then a picture with a mantis eating pizza even though you cant be sure of the truth content of said thread.

(But before we might end up discussing off-topic i do understand it is probaly just a joke between friends)

I once sent kebabs and burgers to Zepher to wake him up and I know Z has sent MJ Pizza... Trust is sometimes left based on multiple trades with "private joke" inserted...

I wish my friends would do that some day for me  Angry

Yeah i can understand that - it just wasnt obvious for me to see because based on my amount of trading here these two members were pretty unknown to me, hence i asked for other community members to look into them.

If you were referencing 2 regular users i'd have a problem with the rating but MJ is pretty legit. No reason to doubt his rating even though it might look fishy. I'm sure he would explain the reference if absolutely necessary but I doubt it comes to that.

Like i already replied to lauda: as long as there exist a good explanation this is all fine especially when longstanding members that traded with them do vouche that these are legit users (real names and addresses known).

I do not trade often myself here on the forums for various reason so i can really only check the trust page and references, but indeed that would be the exact case for every newbie starting trading here.
He can only check these two things.
1549  Economy / Reputation / Re: How do you guys feel about trust farming? on: November 14, 2017, 07:54:21 AM
I was going through the "Zepher" account and saw that he is giving out 10 positives for the same guy even though it was on different occasions (he does that with several users).
Your point being? If I successfully traded big amount of money with someone, I am not allowed to leave them a rating for each time?

Do "Zepher" and "minerjones" have some sort of connection? Like siblings parted at birth?  Roll Eyes

Code:
minerjones	2017-01-04	10.00000000	Reference	PIZZA!!!!!!!! yum

The reference is a pizza picture...
It's an internal thing, and a very valid rating. I can't exactly remember what the deal was with that Pizza, but I do remember it.

It looks for me like a circlejerk of trust trading or maybe all these accounts are just owned by one guy - this is definitely fishy.

I hope some more ppl will check this out.
No. These people are literally trading thousands, tens of thousands (USD) worth of coins every month.

If this is the case it is fine.

Not knowing them seeing a pizza picture as reference for a 10 btc trade in 2017 was a pretty big red flag.

Another trust thread.
It is always the same.

Btw can anyone explain me how different trust reports for user x from the same user y counts?

I was going through the "Zepher" account and saw that he is giving out 10 positives for the same guy even though it was on different occasions (he does that with several users).

what drugs are you on?? many of us have traded $100K plus with both of these guys - they are on different continents and are both super trusted.. MJ holds physicals for me and on some occasions has shipped $50K plus deliveries on my behalf.

also - there is a world outside of this forum where many of us transact....

See the reference i quoted.
Having successful trades in the past is no guarantee. We had more then one of these mr. Long cons.
Maybe you are on drugs or just arent here long enough?

Of course there is the real world - but this is the internet and most people here dont know each other in real life. The only things they can check are the digital history and the reference i quoted without further information is a red flag - no buts here.
1550  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When Did Bitcointalk Politics & Society Become Philosophy & Off-Topic? on: November 14, 2017, 07:44:58 AM
I see nothing wrong to have Philodophy threads in Politics & Society boards. But honestly, I think that Politics & Society should be part of Off-Topic board. Why? Because it's Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency forum and there aren't many discussions related to Bitcoin on this board.
And I see lack of moderation in this board. Spam megathreads aren't locked, and this is great place to increase post count. And I rarely see that threads would be moved to off-topic, trashcan or get locked.

No it is not called philosophy.
99% of this subs posts are called "shitposts".
1551  Economy / Reputation / Re: How do you guys feel about trust farming? on: November 14, 2017, 07:32:13 AM
Anyway, I'm going off topic. The forum trust system is broken. Most people use it wrongly, and the people who use it right are in a ways helping them. This leads to people abusing the system, and those people who try to fix it themselves by not giving out trust go against the original reason it existed.

It's a trust/feedback system, not a list of kings and queens.

I would rather have 5 trustful people on DT then 100 shady idiots.

Also looking at your trust page i get the strong feeling you just wanted green trust for your campaign management business  Roll Eyes

Jesus kids this days...

1553  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term OIL on: November 14, 2017, 06:37:30 AM
Oil soo wants to go even higher after this growth.
current price is 63.88 ,brent

targets, clearly are, 69-76.

although I cannot see best stops lvl's right now. long term, looks like that we will hit 120 next year. That's would look like a growth for 10 weeks in a row. (10 week bars)

On what facts do you base your prediction?

For me it seems that oil demand will be stable while supply will increase for 2018.
1554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [GBYTE] Byteball Speculation on: November 14, 2017, 06:33:28 AM
This coin is very predictable. Airdrop every month on a announced date. People start buying it 10 days earlier -> price goes up. After airdrop, there is a massive dump. Cycle repeats for next month. Made some money with it in the last airdrop, by getting in 2 weeks before the airdrop and getting out just before the airdrop.

You missed the information that there will not take place a airdrop in December. So the huge rise today has not been triggered by airdrop hunters. I guess it's because there are some good news like a binary option Byteball service and some more good minor news.

Or probaly just because it hit the bottom after a mega nose dive Wink

for how long is the signature bounty on? is there any info on the timeline the signature has to be in my profile for me to be rewarded? thanx

Signature bounty will remain long for about 5 months. But the paments are made each month. So noone has to be stuck with it for long time

nice, thanx. and is there some timetable on that written down somewhere?

Hi,

here is the Link: Bounty Thread.
Just scroll down to signature campaign.
1556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [6 000 000$+BOUNTY][ICO]Peculium - First savings system in crypto driven by AI🤖 on: November 14, 2017, 05:22:46 AM
I would like to ask if they have a exchanger site for the Token of Peculium.
Or not ready listed on it yet.

The ICO will be carried out by one of the biggest exchanges and trading will be enabled after ICO (around 19/20 january).

You should definitely be excited!  Wink
1557  Economy / Reputation / Re: Recommendations for additions to Default Trust on: November 13, 2017, 01:40:50 PM
I think The Pharmacist is a good choice and it would also be nice if we would get some active people for the altcoin section to tag people there.
The problem is a lack of reports. Nobody can patrol that huge cesspool anyways.

Yeah agree but that is why i think it would be a good idea to get active people that tag and report there.

If we really want to change the way the forum works we should go the whole length and that includes the shitcoin sub.  Undecided
