1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH 2.0 on: November 25, 2020, 04:35:02 AM
I heard ETH 2.0 is confirmed to launch on December 1st. Can we stake immediately after launch?

The question now where miners and millions of video cards gonna point to?
My bet is Monero, so Monero could see a huge pump soon.
I wonder that too it seems there's still none of video cards selling wave happening yet which means they just simply gonna switch over to other altcoins that are more beneficial instead of selling it and stake the ethereum themselves.
Though, hopefully the fact that ETH switching to POS could atleast solve the network traffic and high fee because it's already pain in the ass at this point.
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Wondering WHAT must have AWAKEN the SLEEPING GIANT - XRP ? on: November 25, 2020, 03:06:17 AM
It's clearly because there gonna be Spark Token Airdrop (FXRP) everyone has been asking about it recently and pretty sure 100% that's the reason of xrp reaches 2 year high. Everyone gonna make quick money out of it and then dump xrp and get out. It's always like that so you should expect the upcoming dump once the airdrop has been distributed. Just put on your seatbelt because the rollercoaster of XRP price is upcoming.
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How true is this? on: November 24, 2020, 08:34:15 AM
Is it true that if altcoin season starts many projects will be forced to launch just to take advantage of the green market? There are some projects that failed to launch since 2019 I heard and some said that in 2017 many projects start rushing to take advantage of the market, how true is this?
That's true. As far as i know that the majority of developers were believing when they were launching their project when the bullish trend is still happening and their coins can get instant pump too.
I have seen that thing so many times when the projects were trying to delay the launch of their platform until the bullish trend happened.
This is not a strong point but they forger if their product will become a thing that will determine everything.
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUY 32 ETH on: November 23, 2020, 10:16:02 AM
Not that I'm being overly skeptic to CZ's statement but buying for the cause not for "finance" is the privilege of the rich and CZ is rich. Buying 32ETH for average joe like us gonna empty our wallet so it's better planned perfectly and we should forecast whether it's gonna be really profitable in the upcoming years.
I would definitely take his statement with grain of salt though, not that he pursue people into staking 32ETH. But, I think it's more worth it for us to join staking pool instead of staking individually. less things to take care of and still gains us profit.
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How can one make effective use of the Excrow? on: November 23, 2020, 06:13:39 AM
That's true. There's just too much exploit available for the developers if the escrowed money are in form of the project's coin. That's why it's heavily recommended to use some kind of stablecoin or an already existing coin that gives no opening in attempt of exploiting the escrowed fund. I think the escrow should always check the contract address aswell and if there's project really changes the contract address before last second of IEO opening as you implied then the escrower should gives warning to the people or the exchange platform from scam attempt.
It's just always best to use stablecoin for escrow at that point.
1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Are So Many Altcoins Worthless After a Little Time on: November 22, 2020, 10:47:42 PM
Many new projects don't have solid foundations, the projects are not from blockchain experts like most old projects, nowadays it cost nothing to build a new token using ERC20 and your next door neighbor can even be a developer, it's all about money making this days that's why we need to be very careful around new crypto projects
Most of the time the projects aren't trying to create some new groundbreaking feature so they actually don't need any blockchain expert as you might think they are but it's just their project business model is not really profitable in the long run while most of people who invest want return of investment at some point. These project could just use erc20 token and move on with developing their project in many aspect but usually they failed.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi protocol Pickle Finance hacked for $20,000,000 on: November 22, 2020, 02:57:53 PM
It happens so frequently. I wonder is it the same exploit used for various defi projects or what? It seems the hackers are now targetting all these defi projects one by one because it's kinda easy in their eyes and profitable to hack them.
These defi projects need to seriously take care of their security because at this point it's critical.
This might be the start of a dying project with DeFi just like the old trend with ICO, and who knows that this can be an inside job. We must learn from our experience since then so don’t over confident with your DeFi tokens right now and start selling while you still can, hackers and manipulators will continue to exist, so be ready always and secured your investments.
Except ICO doesn't usually have hacking incident this usual. I think it's because there's too much undiscovered exploit within these defi projects system.
1128  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Popular Investing Strategies for Beginners on: November 22, 2020, 09:09:42 AM
a good strategy for beginners in my opinion is easy, if you really have a lot of capital, maybe $ 10k,
you can invest 50:50 in two cryptocurrencies, you can analyze it by looking at ROI and fundamentals,
if ROI is still negative and fundamental good, of course it is highly recommended,
and also you have to invest in coins that have low prices.
I don't think this is good advice for a new trader. I think a beginner should at least start with low capital and build experience. If he will start trading with that large capital and have no idea to handle it, he will just lose his capital.

IMO, A beginner should try executing small trades and build experience then gradually increase it when he's starting to gain confidence with his strategy.
Instead of exhausting mental by trading that beginner might aswell doing some holding or long term investment since $10K is quite the money the passive income would be plenty aswell. Trading needs experience to sucesfully execute and while gaining experience it would be great to have passive investment.
1129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was told about a private coin sale, is it a scam? on: November 22, 2020, 04:16:35 AM
Just don't. Your suspicion is enough to make you think more than twice about investing to this project that has a big chance becoming an exit scam. You are talking about real money here and if you don't even understand what you're investing to why bother buying the coin.
Even coin sale that aren't as shady as this have big chance of failing then this kind of coin that comes out of nowhere and none of us even know that this exist will definitely have bigger chance of failing. Heck, even the website as you said are poorly made and there's no office address, nothing. just don't expect too much.
1130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: DEX must take over on: November 21, 2020, 07:01:25 AM
both decentralized exchange and centralized exchange has their own flaws. Using dex is just too technical for most of average joe and that's the main reason why the liquidity is so low in many of decentralized exchange meanwhile centralized exchange always designed to be convenient.
Like it or not but people right now could choose freely between decentralized or centralized exchange as they see fit to their need so I think there's just no need to take over centralized exchange or even wipe them off the market becasue we could get the best of both worlds.
It's not like you are forced to use centralized exchange anyway.
1131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Are So Many Altcoins Worthless After a Little Time on: November 21, 2020, 04:31:57 AM
Some altcoins couldn't really bring people into getting interested with them or in short their project's concept or purpose is not good enough to make people interested therefore they might succeed at the early phase of fund raising through IEO or ICO but couldn't afford to make their price increase but instead their token get dumped because at the end of the day no one really interested.
This is why when it comes to altcoin so many people recommend you to investigate or atleast learn about that specific project deeply so that you won't invest into a coin with bad prospect.
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH ideal transaction fee using MEW? on: November 21, 2020, 01:10:58 AM
Many has encountered this problem and if you look up in google or reddit for example you just need to increase the gas limit NOT the gas price just remember to keep some eth left for paying gas don't left nothing at all.
Or maybe if there's automatic feature to set the gas then should just use that instead, most of the time it does thing just right and don't need to complicate yourself.
1133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum User Spends $9,500 in Fees Sending Just $120 on: November 20, 2020, 12:22:03 PM
I don't know exactly but maybe because Ethereum 2.0 gives an impact on ethereum network including gas fees it makes such an error. With this error, people are not able to transact because they don't have the amount. For me this case is so simple, just waiting until the error is finished.
Ethereum 2.0 not even launched yet the staking process takes quite sometime and no it's not the blockchain system error most likely his own fault for maybe mistyping the fee needed. Also, I don't think the error in this case just gonna solve itself. He already spend that much of money to pay gas fee which means faster transaction confirmation and possibly losing it. Blockchain is irreversible and don't tolerate such mistake from the people who made transaction.
1134  Economy / Economics / Re: Ray Dalio Admits He May Be Wrong About Bitcoin" on: November 20, 2020, 09:55:45 AM
Well everyone makes mistake and people that are pessimistic like Ray Dalio usually makes one so it's just very normal thing for him and whether he admits he was wrong or not is not relevant for the market really although he's hedge fund manager, still the market shows despite his statement crypto still growing.
Also, this is why people should not makes such overconfident statement because big chance you are wrong.
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple and Bitcoin on: November 20, 2020, 05:55:59 AM
It is clear as day that XRP is most definitely not even a competition for bitcoin. XRP is working hard to become a payment processor or method where bitcoin mainly want to become a currency that is used worldwide.
Even the fact that Ripple keep making cooperation with some banks or large institution already speak itself. I think people that think XRP and Bitcoin is competing kind of dense people.

By this statement I think there should be no argument whether Ripple gonna replace bitcoin because that's not gonna happen even in the future.
1136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Half bread is better than none on: November 19, 2020, 10:50:56 PM
That's actually the hard truth. Some altcoin could just gone into oblivion within span of few months and imagine owning that alt, money gone become dust without knowing. BUT, it's the same as anywhere else. You go buy company stock it could go down very hard just becaue the company makes some mistake. Investment is not as easy as people might think. You see people in youtube, tv they always telling us to invest to generate easy money but honestly they are just some BS and yeah half bread better than none. Usually when people gets greedy want to take as much profit as they can they instead losing.
1137  Economy / Economics / Re: China conducts one of the biggest public CBDC tests! on: November 19, 2020, 09:23:28 AM
If this CBDC truly uses blockchain implementation within their system then we might see the real test regarding the versatility, scalability and performance of what blockchain could be capable of. Although it's centralized and doesn't even resemble bitcoin or any other decentralized crypto at all but it's a good thing that some government really trying to find out the aftermath of blockchain implementation within big and enormous scale of users like this.
1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: November 19, 2020, 05:32:50 AM
You should just wait for ETH 2.0 staking they said it's gonna fix the scalability issue and most likely solving the ridiculous fee and network congestion but the staking itself still a long way to go.
But, even if the network congestion problem not solved. Ethereum is not gonna die, by logic if more and more people switching from etheruem to another platform the network congestion will gone then the endless cycle starts until the devs fix the core problem.
I mean the fact that ethereum network congestion still going on until now means it's still "quite" popular isn't it? never once the question whether etheruem gonna die exist in my mind ever at this point.
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Kucoin Hackers on OUSD... on: November 19, 2020, 01:51:38 AM
This is just bad, so many hacked at short amount of time clearly show that our community lacking in security. What we're dealing is not some measly data here but real money. These company really need to take security seriously. I mean, it's the risk of project that invovles real money within the system, always being targeted by the hackers.

This has been called upon how dangerous it is and we are seeing the bad effects of this flash loans as hackers can quickly drain it before the dev themselves know what's really happening. And the thing is that they come up to the public and ask the hackers to return a portion? not gonna happen.
I thought like that, how can hackers return the money they stole, from the existing cases they run away without a trace, maybe the only way is to freeze the money that has been stolen like USDT, otherwise it will harm many people and whether they replace the money missing?
Believe it or not if the hacking exposed like this most of exchanges would be alerted and immediately freeze if the hackers happen to deposit their money into some exchange. Maybe ineffective but not entirely futile attempt by the developers.
1140  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The european union moves closer to an encryption ban on: November 18, 2020, 02:47:47 PM
if the ban truly enforced, what stops criminals switching from whatsapp to another less popular end-to-end encryption messaging app that's under the radar. Criminals will definitely take extra effort to find the replacement for whatsapp but ordinary, normal and law obeying users gonna have a hard time because they just have no privacy anymore. It just doesn't make sense. Even nowadays criminal already be able making their own messaging app since the source code already floating around every corner of github as of now. It's just the most inneffective way of dealing with the criminal.
