EDITED: but I don't mine so I cannot say what mean "very accurate" I can add that you should always think about that : 1. Price of a Bitcoin will go up (more profits) 2. If price will skyrocket - difficult will skyrocket too  (less profit) Kind regards. Its accurate only it cant predict price of BTC and difficulty more than next week |

this is simple buy 2 s-3's and a good psu. it will use 640 watts. it will hash at about 820gh. underclock a tiny bit. freq 212.5 vs stock 218.75 here is a good psu can run it can run 3 s-3's with under clock at freq 212.5 it will pull 975 watts http://www.rakuten.com/prod/evga-supernova-1300-g2-1300w-power-supply-110-v-ac-220-v-ac-input/249973555.htmlI assume you take all responsibilities . for fires, electrocution , gear theft, the university getting mad you burn 1k an hour 24/7. at 10 cents a k-watt that is $ 2.40 a day. I pick this gear since it will reboot after a power outage/switch pools if a pool fails. 1000 watts makes a lot of heat keep that in mind if you choose to run 3 of them. You did not mention Noise or heat and inside a student room with probably a room-mate to disturb maybe this is a problem. My suggestion since its for small student room it would be a Jupiter November KNC miner 750 G/hs. Total silence like a computer and reasonably priced nowadays. |

I watched the setup of the R3 on utube and when I saw the 4 usb cables going to the Usb hub the raspberry the PSU I thought this unit is not for me i have enought spaggeti cables dont need more.
I wonder is it so difficult for them to make a box and include all this inside.
Most users want a simple plug and play machine like the S3
Since I have put them on 19/7/2014 the only thing that worries me is the temperatures.
Its summer time here and temps are 32-35c inside my warehouse with ants temps around 45-49c
Hope stays like this or becomes coooler soon.Hashing is whithout any problems since then.
So suggest S3

Can anyone get a db meter and tell me how loud these things are. I currently have knc nov jups that are whisper quiet. I'm planning on unloading the kncs and replacing with more efficient miners (S3 prolly), but have to keep the noise to a minimum.
No they are not like KNC I have both and can tell.They get louder when they run in hot temperature air..like here that its summer and temps around 28-32c |

Οπως τα ειπατε...εγω περιμενα να εκτελωνιστει περιπου 15 μερες χωρια που με ρωταγανε πως πληρωσατε αντε να τους πεις με BTC...
Κατασταση βρωμαει εγω ειδεικα με την DHL εχω παρατησει πακετο δεν το πηρα ποτε...
μου ζηταγανε για μια τσαντα 20 δολαρια που ειχα αγορασει για δωρο, 50 ευρω εκτελωνισμο και αποθηκευτρα...και τους ειπα δεν τα θελω ευχαριστω...
πανε τα λεφτα μου και τελος η DHL για μενα....
Α αλλο ενα καλο ειχα στειλει σε ενα φιλο στην ιαπωνια εναν υπολογιστη δικο του απο το σπιτι του εννοω...
μου ζητησαν μετα απο 20 μερες αφου το ειχα στειλει εξαγωγικα εξοδα 200 ευρω και φανταζεστε τι πηραν!!!
Σκετοι πειρατες....

strange is no official response there at forum,
no response from ticket system/www form,
customer service is not responding...
after getting millions of dollars from preorders they have stopped any communication.
another case of miners screwed by preorders?
why not to buy from stock?
Patient please, we're busy. Guy Is it true that the airliners stopped flights to Israel This is what I heard to the news. Minister of FA John Kerry announced this!!! You must mean Secretary of State John Kerry. Lol. Yes Secretary of State but I heard today the air-liners lifted this just this morning so everything back to normal... |

as its written in the manual of the Jupiter near the power cables there is a small black button
press it for 5 times and wait for 5 more seconds then press it another 5 times and there you go.
miner will not close and you may be need to restart cgminer.
it works

3 S3's received on the 17th. Set them all up with 750w PSU's of various sort. First 24 hours all 3 OC'd to 250 mhz and getting about 500gh/s each. stoked! After about 28 hours, notice one "x" on the first S3. Rebooted, went away for about ten minutes them returned. Average hashrate dropped to 470ghs. Set it down to 237.5, all "o" and getting about 475 ghs average, little more on poolside. I'lll take it! A bit concerned that one has temps of 46 sometimes, during hotter times of the day. Is this too hot to maintain?  Ihave these temperatures as normal in the part of the world am located with normal settings so no worries |

5 ANTMINERS s3 running since some hours now.
First impressions.
1) packing was poorer than the S1 but managed to arrive in one piece.
2) hash rate is unit 1 436 after about 11 hours
unit 2 449
unit 3 467
unit 4 452
unit 5 428
3) cables well possitioned
4) unit looks nice and solid
5) Same PSU from my S1 miners GooooooooD
6) would buy more Definatelly yes but as i say in my signature I want more than I can have!!!
Generally happy, hope it will add some overclocking later to reach at least the first anncounced specs.
