1383  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why is BITMAIN selling used products ? on: June 13, 2014, 05:41:57 AM
Bitmain had great success with S1. S2 am not sure but from what I read was not a great success. In a china conference they said its goind to be an S3 with 28nm chips. Not yet released but they will need it
1384  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Dragon 1T = Wife not happy! (Fan Noise) on: June 13, 2014, 05:36:35 AM
Take them to the garage and have in mind its quiter that other miners
Changing the fans will not do much good as there are not quite and powerfull together.
I have tried quiet computer fans but these suck air very slow its not for miners and specially
in the summer time that you need more cooling
I dont know where you are located
Taking your miners into a data center is a solution but in europe there are not cheep ones.
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Over the payout threshold, when does autopay happen? on: June 12, 2014, 10:33:36 AM

I am over the 0.001 BTC autoay theshold (w/confirmed BTC payout address). When will payout actually happen and why is there no manual payout method?

same question...

I am over the 0.001 BTC autoay theshold (w/confirmed BTC payout address). When will payout actually happen and why is there no manual payout method?

Me too no payout here either and its passed the threshold 24hours ago
Also the manual conversion must be enable for instance I have some altcoins
that were mined once by the pool never reached the minimum to be converted and they sit there
as garbage

Also in my form there is not the chance to change my email adress says its old account and profile cant change!!!
1386  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: June 12, 2014, 08:09:02 AM
Hi this picture is a cooling joke as if they are S2 (am not so sure)  they produce LOT of heat depending where they are located(close to the equator or not). I remember a guy had some miners in Alaska but when prompted for the temperatures he had it was -40 to -20 so at this levels I dont know what is needed. Some users have commented that S1 does not like so much extreeme cold but for S2 I dont know.
Running some of my Antminers S1 in the winter time with temps 0-7c did not have any kind of problems with heat as in the room I had them was a window always open.

1389  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why is BITMAIN selling used products ? on: June 11, 2014, 09:27:44 AM
With the chinese we are nearly ready to forget our consumer habits
Change the miner product for a car lets say and make your comparison

1) new car is a new never USED car  or a car taking passengers for 3months in China
New miner is a used 3months hashing for the seller and then when paid off
sold to the new succer with profit

2) When a car does not run you return it immidiatelly request a new car or money back
when a miner does not run you have to be an electric engineer to find out WHERE  is the
problem with the board / PSU or loose cables.YOU can only email them and they will say to you OK
pay post expenses possible export taxes to return it in your expenses and there is no known future
as both money and product on the air....

3)the list can go on and on and on can include guarantee that there is NON existant,  can include customer support that its poor,  can include BTC theft that its common,  can include many criminal activities that they are present but not punished.

I am not strange just fustrated with the chinese customer support
In the United states and Europe the buyer can FCUK the seller if something is wrong with the product
but I see that with Bitcoin miners happens excactly the opposite.
Are there any drugs inside the miners making all of us including me
act like sheeps.

Remember its our money and our electricity making them rich.
I learned from my first work to expect honest payment for a days work and honest spending of this money
so I enjoy them
We must make rules that sellers must follow not what happens now
for instance what is this situation with the preorders......
The Chinese make investments with MY MONEY and if this does not go wrong wow investment failed.....
BTC lost effort hope and electricity.

All these items have very very low WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) due to noise heat expenses
if at least they had a profit it would be different but doing all this and loose
not even river jordan will wash my sins....

I think that the future of Bitcoin is to be spread from miners into others and become and
expand the currency we want.
if the Miners are the first to be screwed what is the future of this currency

I would propose if the operators can do it to be able to vote for the companies with good
overall performance and this voting to be continued with comments kinda ebay feedback system

or demand from all the companies to sell their items directly with ebay.
if this was possible

B -
K-- m----
B----ne
Co--t----
names you all know

and possibly others I forget would not be able to trick anyone.
Ebay is not the paradise of good people but its better that here

HEELLOOO you dont have the product available bye bye
No preorder
Put your onw money expenses and effort to produce it then be able to sell it
this way you will honor your product and your buyer.

and others would not be super rich and thieves
I dont know do I only see things this way.
I have collected an amount of BTC with mining and ready to purchase a miner
What to choose is a big question when you have the BTC

1392  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: USB Miner : Which rig has the most mining capacity...no ethernet please on: June 09, 2014, 05:03:55 PM
I actually had more problems with USB ports and this was due to hardware errors so gave up on them
I will only buy a rig that has ethernet port.
1393  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Putting miner outdoors on: June 08, 2014, 08:42:15 PM
i have 3 S2s, 2 Jupiters, 6 ants & 2 avalons - all outside.

since last year - no worries - just a lot dustier than inside.

dust is a big problem for all electronics
they change the values of electronics with dust and heat
so fear of changing values lead into equipment fail
Decent cleaning with presured air is required more often
1394  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: June 08, 2014, 08:38:23 PM
Who does not want to be smart but cant do it all unless you have a big farm and enjoy big BTC production.
1395  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: June 08, 2014, 03:53:22 PM
32 S1s
9 S2s
2 Dragons
2 Jupiters
2 SP10s

Total = ~22 TH/s

Nice Setup there my spaggeti is not to be photographed at all.
1396  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ROCKMINER ASIC miner official thread on: June 08, 2014, 09:27:40 AM
R60 is very interesting. It is too bad minimum order quantity is 4 though. The problem being that the set would require more current than a single US circuit can provide. So if we haven't already run electric for a small farm then we are either doing that or running extension cords or networking cable to connect to the Pi.

I'm thinking about this from the perspective that was mentioned: getting more people involved in mining. This is targeted at someone with lower risk tolerance, who may not already be involved in mining, but who still has the infrastructure or space to run something that power hungry (in Quantity 4). It seems like a narrow market.

Is R60 going to be sold by resellers in quantity 1 or only in higher quantity?

Thanks.

Yes. Directly buying from ROCKMINER official website, minimum order is 4 units. If just buy 1, you may buy from reseller.

Its an interesting project however there are two points that could be on an option decided by the buyer in order
to increase safety.

1) have the option to buy just 2 x-box and not thrue reseller as that will increase the price so it will become less profitable for the simple user.If this the one you try to protect after all.
2) You mention your payments in case of more BTC produced in the 60 days period will have the company reputation as assurance.

My dear I dont question your company reputation but we have seen a number of companies and number of buyers that relied on companies reputation and were pretty much fucked up and lost their money.

Why do not you follow the example of Bitmain and deliver only what is already produced.

Also want to comment its not good to work with other people money OK we are all miners
but being on the safe side its critical after what we have seen.

Make a market research ask your potential buyers and act accordigly
this way my personal opinion your wallet will grow more safelly.

from my point of view is that Antminer S1 has been so far the most successful bitcoin miner
the company that will make use of the thousand power supplies already used from Antminer S1
will have a huge advantage against the others.

I hope you deliver what you say and hope to become your customer one day.

1397  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio - Shipping from stock on: June 06, 2014, 07:30:40 PM
The noise complaints are numerous. So why doesn't Spondoolies address this issue and make an alternate version in a 2U rack size? I'm sure they would sell more units if they weren't so loud.
Because the product is already obsolete and they have the SP 30 to move now. Wouldn't make sense spending the money on engineering for something that is soon to go EOL. Would be a great miner though.

August is still 2 months away. That's an eternity in BTC time. They could sell a lot of SP10 ver.2.0 in that time period. All that's needed is a bigger case with larger fans and a PSU that doesn't sound like shop-vac. Their talented engineers could probably knock that out in an afternoon.

What is most important is to make a really low low power High effiency miner
At least my biggest problem is electricity cost
not the multiplugs I have to buy or the rooter cables or the shelves to put them
or the noise that comes out of my garage.
Its electricity !!!
1398  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio - Shipping from stock on: June 06, 2014, 05:20:01 PM

How are you powering 3 SP10's in your home? And cooling them? Is it summer there yet?
[/quote]

Yup, it is summer with 32° outside. First of all: Open windows in the night, close the shutters at daytime. That keeps the cold in the building. So that does the trick at the moment. Regarding power at home: I'm at the limit with three SP10, 12 Antminers, 2 Dragons and some Scrypt-Rigs. Now for every new miner like an SP10 or 30, I have to get rid of some Ants....
[/quote]

Its Swiss he is living. Even in the summer its cooler from what I know as its mountainous area and lots of green too
1399  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSED] Spondoolies-Tech SP30 pre-order - Specs: 0.69$/GH + 0.46W/GH on: June 06, 2014, 11:43:23 AM

SP30 management and main ("ASIC") boards:

The difference in engineering huge!!! is so much different from the Chinese and also the customer
support the offer.
I am so glad that they entered this game,  look to be serious and reliable.
Hence for me only can affort these miners in second had only....

you'll need to be very lucky to find any SP-Tech rigs 2nd hand mate, once they are bought and hashing, (you would know if you had one) not many will want to sell 'em on!

best miners I've ever had.

I also think, even if you do find any 2nd hand, you won't be paying much less than retail value for it.
