182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoind server wrapper on: February 28, 2013, 02:21:44 AM
perhaps instead of persisting with bitcoind, you could consider this option:

cURL

186  Economy / Speculation / Re: This survey proves that buying drugs represent a small market for bitcoin on: February 27, 2013, 02:47:13 AM
I think it is quite interesting how this survey debunk the myth about how huge is the drug market in bitcoin.

i thought it debunked the myth that people who buy drugs with bitcoins, fill out surveys.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Namecheap implementing Bitcoin payments on: February 26, 2013, 09:25:54 PM
I have well over 100 domains with Godaddy and Directnic.

I will consider moving them all if this is true. Moving domains cross registrars can be a lot of hassle though.

Takes less than a couple of hours for domains to move from Godaddy to Namecheap as long as you approve the request from both ends.

unfortunately though, you will get 100 emails which require 100 manual 'approval' clicks.

Once they've implemented this, someone should ask them to put up a page with step-by-step instructions on how to switch domains from, say, GoDaddy to Namecheap. I have several domains with GD and will gladly switch them over if Namecheap accepts BTC. But I'll need someone to show me how as if I was a six year old  Cheesy

here is the best guide i know of on the subject:

i just realised though, godaddy still has one thing over namecheap (unfortunately)... gift codes

i don't know why namecheap continues to drag it's feet in that area
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Namecheap implementing Bitcoin payments on: February 26, 2013, 11:32:56 AM
#namecheap: please sent a email to all your existing customers and tell them that you accept bitcoins

193  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Free code worth 0.02 BTC if you're quick... on: February 25, 2013, 05:30:51 AM
Perhaps I am drunk, but where is this code redeemable?

heh, the clue is in the last line of the OP. look for something resembling a domain name and paste it into your browser's address bar :p

194  Other / Beginners & Help / Free code worth 0.02 BTC if you're quick... on: February 25, 2013, 05:15:34 AM

Yeah 25% is insane, especially when it's not very clear beforehands.

sooo... i hear that the 25% withdrawal fee is still in effect, even on publisher earnings. true or false?

p.s. this funny-sounding word is in your faq:

shroteners

199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for ways to profit on btc on: February 22, 2013, 04:59:59 AM
porn seems to be a good area

citation?

i was under the impression that porn sites rely heavily on recurring billing (charge $1.95 to hook them and then rebill forever at $49.95 per month)

...which is something that is not particularly well-suited to bitcoin (at least not yet)
