Exactly, after winning $1000 you don't feel it like real money. The problem is psychological, we have to stop gambling for long rounds, our brains fail feeling of how to make hard cash due to long series of up/downs. Unfortunate cases will happen more in case of user keep gambling every week,  taking break for 1 month will take back to reality.

"In gambling a winner is the one who knows when to stop". the real catch is when to stop in either case you win or lose. Normally
people keep on betting when they are losing or winning and that's where problem start. I am happy that gambling is ban in my country and I gamble rarely on crypto sites.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador will be the richest country in the world in 8 years? on: May 29, 2022, 08:23:11 AM
This means that currently their country's wealth has shrunk by 40%, and you can imagine how much suffering the people there are, because when they legalized bitcoin the country was already in a state of economic difficulty. don't we often say to buy bitcoin with free money, but it seems the opposite of the situation experienced by elsalvador, moreover, of course a country interacts with other countries

The case of personal investment cant be compared with state investment policies since millions of people are dependent on state policies. If EL was too much enthusiastic for bitcoin then it was better to invest some spare cash. I still dont know how can a country buy BItcoin from nation money and that too when bitcoin was at its ATH.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Old Casino Keep Up Without Support Here In Bitcointalk Or Signature Campaign on: May 29, 2022, 08:19:25 AM
Bitcointalk isn't the only method of advertising that crypto casinos use. I don't even think we're THAT big of a source for users, but it is a hub for new users to know what's up since there are countless threads about the majority of the well-known casinos here. All in all, I'd say yes they can, since the market isn't limited here in the forum. Now if you were solely specifying the forum, then I don't think they'd be able to keep up, unless users of the casino themselves were to bump and talk about the casino within a mega thread of their own.

No doubt bitcointalk.org is one of oldest and most populative crypto forum but there are other media also available that can help you grow and run business. So i dont think that if any platform has migrated away from bitcointalk.org then his chances to grow and survive are over. Bitvest and 777Coin are still very popular crypto casinos.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador will be the richest country in the world in 8 years? on: May 28, 2022, 05:33:06 AM
Well, this could happen if bitcoin starts to pump quickly and again reach all time high. If El Salvador possesses a lot of bitcoins, it could become the richest country if bitcoin cross 100,000$ or 200,000$. As per the OP, eight years are enough for bitcoin to be at these prices, and also El Salvador should accumulate many bitcoins during these times.

What about the sufferings that whole country will face for 8 years. AFAIK, Salvador start buying btc when it was over 50k and that's the biggest mistake they made. Everyone loves to jump in the boat when market is going up. If Salvador coolest dictator have so much faith in bitcoin then why not he bought btc when it's bearish?

Just started with a $3 bet, but it went upto $98 and ended with empty wallet.

You are lucky that you lose only 98$, I lost 175$ yesterday and 60$ last week. You can easily imagine how I would be feeling right now. Gambling is all about losing your hard earned money in few minutes or seconds. Despite all my efforts I can't restrict myself from gambling.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's preventing bitcoin from worldwide adoption? on: May 26, 2022, 08:21:58 AM
Bitcoin remains to be adopted by every country in the world for various reasons. Here are my thoughts on why..

1. Government policies: Most government and financial institutions round the world seem not to want bitcoin cause of the financial freedom it gives to its users. They would want to control and tax the flow of finances of individuals and they probably fear the anonymous nature of its transactions. Some policies even go as far as criminalizing its use.

To me the biggest obstacle in bitcoin adoption worldwide is oppression of centralized institutes backed by governments. The main reason why government is against decentralized bitcoin is that they won't be able to control it. Its not true that criminal activities like money laundering can only be done via cryptocurrencies, right now majority of criminal activities are going on with fiat.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador will be the richest country in the world in 8 years? on: May 26, 2022, 03:59:15 AM
Not sure about what will happen after 8 years but I was going through this thread after 8 months of El Salvador crypto adoption, Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador?. Just after 8 months of this adoption they are under crisis.

Third of the population live is poverty, the GDP puts the country around 100th place among the countries (slightly below), and on top of everything the IMF is pissed because of the Bitcoin-friendly policies they those. So there's absolutely no way El Salvador would become the richest country in the world or even get into the top-10 in 8 years.

This adoption will take El Salvador GDP further down since such countries are heavily dependent on IMF and other monetary bodies. Moreover there current ruler to buy bitcoin when it was at its ATH is a mistake that not many countries have made. He is testing his country future by using people money.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think we should do with our investments in times of uncertainty? on: May 26, 2022, 03:52:46 AM
My only fear regards bitcoin is that internet becomes unavailable at some moment of our history due to massive wars or censorship. That is the kind of uncertainty I most fear when thinking if I should keep my investments in bitcoin or not. In extreme situations I'm not sure if digital goods are a good idea, so it's preferable to focus in physical intrinsic stuff, which you can have direct access to, without having to rely on a third party service or item to transact or deal with.

On the other hand, in a chaotic scenario like that, bitcoin would fit as a decent choice to be used to help rebuilding the world, once the storm is over and new times begin. Consequently it might be worthful to keep holding even when the scenario looks the worst possible.

That's what I was thinking when there were rumors that WWIII will broke out due to Russia/Ukarine conflict. In such scenarios it will be impossible to come in contact with your bitcoin and for daily living we need some physical stuff that has some value. But then again, in which physical asset to convert is again a big question as fiat will be useless in case we have uncertain situation like WWIII.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The bitcoin price drop is an excellent time to buy bitcoins on: May 26, 2022, 03:38:48 AM
I indeed find it amusing and confusing when people run away from Bitcoin when it has a cheap price tag and flock toward it when it rallies so hard.

Well, perhaps this is a natural human attitude. Perhaps people are naturally avoiding risks and uncertainty. And perhaps that's the reason why those few who try to suppress it and do otherwise are the ones who are successful.

Perhaps the great Warren Buffet was right when he said that wise investors are "fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.”

What Warren said is for wise investors not for light heart investors. I am sure Whales along with sensible investors are busy buying BTC at current price and will start selling when price will go up. Its time when majority except whales and wise people rush to buy bitcoin. There is the reason why whales are called Whales. We can also become Whales if we gather courage to take such risks.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 26, 2022, 03:30:17 AM
OK.. then it is confirmed. Even after 10 days of play in two matches, we will not get a result. The fourth day's play is about to begin and Sri Lanka's first innings is not yet completed. I understand that rain interruption resulted in some loss of overs, but I don't think that the outcome could have been any different if there was no rain. Both the teams are not aiming for a win. Sri Lanka's run rate has once again dipped below 3 runs per over, and this is not how teams bat if they are aiming for a win. The entire test series between these two sides have been a meaningless one so far.

Thats the irony of Test cricket, you play for 5 days and still no result. The reason why there are not many nations in cricket is because of Test format. Since most part of cricket history is composed of Test format only. Srilanka are 83 runs behind which they will chase on forth day, but still there are very rear chances of result of this match.

“Gambling is not about how well you play the games, it’s really about how well you handle your money.”
Defiantly the fault lies in the bettor, who kept on betting despite the fact he is continuously losing his money. This is not the first time we came across such horrible story, the gambling world is full of such mishaps.

... they apparently sent him a 50$ free betting which at the end ending up to be awful for him since he started it again and ended up loosing all the fortune.

Its not just gambling sites which send you such lucrative offers you see it from almost every sites, for instance, Binance send you offer that do 50$ transactions and you have a chance to win 10$ cash back. We need to think wisely before we fell in such traps.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 25, 2022, 06:23:43 AM
In my opinion, politics should be kept aside from sports. Here the real problem is not with PCB or BCCI, but with the ICC. The ICC should ask the Indian board to pay compensation, in case they are unable to tour Pakistan. If a small board such as New Zealand can compensate Pakistan for their inability to tour, then a rich board such as BCCI should definitely do that one moral grounds. Take the case of football. North Korea participated in the 2010 FIFA world cup, despite the fact that they have horrible relations with their neighbors and with the United States. Sports help us to alleviate political tensions. And the same approach can be tried with India and Pakistan as well.

We all know that ICC is now a days in full control of India, Australia and England. Pakistan being arch rival of India has very rear chances of getting any benefit from ICC and too against India. Keep cricket limited to few countries and big 3 will take full advantage of that. Since that's not the case with football that's why the case you are referring happens not in cricket.

FAILURE OF DEMOCRACY IN PAKISTAN

In my opinion, following are the major reasons why democracy could not take deep roots in our society:

• Majority of Political leaders is selfish & corrupt with few exceptions
• Dynastic politics
• No democracy within political parties
• Foreign intervention in local politics which is a major barrier to rising of genuine leadership.
• Mismanagement of the available resources.
• Poor & inefficient judicial system

Your points are very much valid. Ma eik point aur add krn ga, "Continues Military Intervention". Aj pora mulk ko ag laga ky Military kah rhe hy ky hum Neutral hn.
Kya khayal hy, bitcoin yahan sa oper jya ga ya further down? Mera khayal hy bitcoin will go up from here. 29k is having huge resistance. Almost 2 weeks sa bitcoin na ya price maintain ke hue hy.

Bangladesh will not be able to collect 400 runs. Even collecting 350 is now difficult for them. Bangladesh lost the wickets of Liton and Mosaddeq in the same over. Mosaddeq could not collect any runs. The fourth batsman of Bangladesh who returned to the dressing room with zero runs in this match. It is very unprofessional batting of Bangladeshi batsmen. However, we are accustomed to seeing such irregular batting in Bangladeshi players in the Test format.

Apart from Litton and Mushfiqur Rahim  no other Bangladeshi try to score runs. It's not the first time we saw such strange batting behaviour from Bangladeshi batting lineup. Srilanka made a strong reply and made 143/2 at stumps. Now most probably we have a draw.

Brothers, Dollar exchange rate itna simple nhi hota blky  bht complex hota ha. Fundamentally toh jub apki export kum or imports bht zaydeh hon toh Rupee pe obviously dollar ki demand zayadeh hony se  pressure aata ha mgr es k ilawa bi bht sary factors hoty han jis mein interest rate ka bi bht role hota ha or abi kal hee Pakistan k state bank ne 1.5% bra dia ha es se bi rupee pe pressure kum ho ga. Bht sary countries apni currency ki value kum es liye bi rekhty han taky unki exports international market mein competitive rehen jaisa k China ne bht lambi muddat tak yehi policy adopt kiay rekhi mgr ab exports bht br chuki han es liye unki currency stable ha. Pakistani currency bi stable ho sakti ha agr hum loan leney ki bjai apni exports ko increase keren yehi long term solution ha economy ko behter kerny ka.

Aslomalukm every one, this is my first post in Pakistan community page. Boht active hy ya thread, ap log kafi productive discussions kr rhya ho. Inshallah ma bhe ab apka saath is discussions ma rahon ga.
@Sayeds56 sahe kah rhya ho ap. Long term solution eik he hy ky apni exports ko increase kea jya. Only then we can have financial stability.
Government to ko chahya ka automobile sa related bhe ko policy bnya. Hmara sara foreign currency reserve suzuki, Toyota aur Honda ly jata hy.

Anyone remember Mohammad Hasnain? The young Pakistani fast bowler who is suspended from bowling in international cricket due to his illegal bowling action. After 3 months of hard work, Muhammad Hasnain has undergone test with his new bowling action and result of this test is expected in 2 weeks. Let's hope something positive come for this young man.

Litton Das has been performing consistently for some time. How is the pitch behaving this time? I didn't watched on TV, and just followed the scores. But given the fact that pacers Kasun Rajitha and Asitha Fernando got most of the wickets, I am assuming that the track is slightly favoring pacers this time. I expect Bangladesh to reach a total of 350-400 by today EOD. They need to get Sri Lanka out for less than 250, else this match will also end up as another boring draw. On the positive side, Bangladesh has maintained a run rate of more than 3. That itself is an achievement, compared to what happened during the first match.

Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das have just started 2nd days play. It looks like Bangladesh will score around 400 and result of this match mostly depends now on how Srilanka bat in there first innings. I am too just following score at day end, its not possible to sit and watch lengthy test.
