Pictures with some sort of proof you have them? (piece of paper with name and probably a poorly drawn picture of a guy doing surgery on a PC?)
Any reputation?
Escrow?

These sorts of things options should always be included in the first post. Prices seem too good to be true.

That does seem too good to be true. pics would be nice

Could always ask to use an escrow service and if the answer is no not enough time then i would pass on the deal.

you went back to 10.2? that seems a bit low. 11.6 didn't work well for you?
505  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help please...I'm a newb when it comes to mining on: August 17, 2011, 01:45:33 PM
Not worth to mine unless you have at least 0.5-1.0 Ghash/s, I have 3 oc/d gpus, 0.925 ghash/s in total and it's becoming less and less profitable...

Unless the price / value of BTC rises significantly, again... :-)

It will costs you around 54 cents a day to run it and you'll generate about .006 btc a day.

In order to break even you need it to be worth 90 dollars a btc and lets be honest if it reaches $30 the difficulty will sky rocket again so there is no profit to be had with cpu's.

Thought you meant mining in general.

Does anyone who mines use solar power?  How about bio-diesel generators?

Might be a good idea to start a new thread with this one. Green mining now that's a concept

good rule of thumb is 150 for system and 200w per card so 3x200 is 600+150 puts your at 750. i would move into the 800+w rage. remember you are not getting the full 700 even with a bronze rated psu. I like to be over over with power b/c its a pain to troubleshoot if that is in question. Of course like the post above you could get two of these and that should be plenty Smiley

116 when you check newegg everyday for the 58xx knowing that the sapphire appears with the add to cart available then clicking. Then finding out that the add to cart has been replaced with add to notify.

117 tired of seeing rings and baseball cards when entering 58xx and 69xx in newegg's search.

I think it will depend on the 1000w. it should but if you get the crappy one i got then no. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817159101 you will need a perhaps a better one. i ran 4 5830s for about 4 hours and my psu started smelling like burning. Smiley so i rma ed it and added a 430 to power two of the 4 cards. My setup is standard except with 2 80mm fans and 8gb instead of 2gb.

Have you OC them at all?
510  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: While Mining CPU @ 100% on: August 11, 2011, 03:58:27 AM
Some have launched a new instance of the miner per gpu. Sounds silly but this is a common issue that 11.6 amd drivers and 11.7 have (lets hope they get it right with 11.Cool. So for example i launch guiminer for each miner/worker. if you have 3 5850s thats 3 guiminer.exe processes running with the infinity set to that first core. It has worked for some and myself for an older rig.
511  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need Tech Support for mining >.< on: August 11, 2011, 03:50:27 AM
Let me see if i got this.

so if all the dummy plugs are removed, guiminer sees 8 gpus. as you plug in the monitor to each video card to start mining one of the 8 gpus are not mining at all.

You may have already tried this but its worth a shot.

when you say "however one of them will show a false positive (give a m/hash, but not actually be doing anything" you know this by looking in MSI AB gpu usage graphs?

can you find out which card and gpu is not doing anything and then try swapping physically slots on the mobo  and 6 pin power to that card with a working one. Just to eliminate any potential defects with that card.
512  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Outdoor mining rig, worried about condensation on: August 10, 2011, 08:28:24 PM
yeah as those cards cool quickly. we all no when mining stops its about a 20+ degree drop in card temps

That's the spot temp at the sensor, your case temperature won't immediately fall 20C, nor is the inside of your case reaching 80C under load.  Or maybe it is.  If it is, you've got some problems Wink

Yes the sensor is right near the gpu and that's where i would worry most for condensation because the temp will rise and cool rapidly. The odds that condensation will occur is still very slim because the mining rig its self is a blow dryer during mining, but that one night or day that the rig stops the temps on the hsf will drop by 20 or so C. I will prob be fine.

Yes i had issues with xp and 11.7 had to revert to 11.6

Very nice write up. We'll see 11.8 soon http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/Catalyst118DriverPreview.aspx

Would like to see the result of this. 11.7 has not been all that is cracked up to be.

Also your temps ok? I assume they are on risers.
519  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need Tech Support for mining >.< on: August 10, 2011, 04:15:37 PM
I was referring to the power control setting which allows additional power to the cards when OCed.  http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1488/4/

See the third slider in the ccc is that set to +20. i noticed i had to make this change to +20 so all my cards receive enough power when needed.
520  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need Tech Support for mining >.< on: August 10, 2011, 04:01:39 PM
in the ccc do you have the power control at +20?
