if you can find cheap pci-e power cables let me know.
I can't seem to find any that either are not junk overpriced or profit shipping.
182  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: *** GHash.IO mining pool official page *** on: March 17, 2015, 03:05:08 PM
Not forgetting their block withholding on a regular basis in an effort to increase their profits they claim not to be making...... Roll Eyes
Is there any discussion and proof of this somewhere ?

Something just feels "off" mining there over the last little while. Logically, I would just like to write it off to bad luck and DDoS, but I've seen these withholding rumors enough that it's gotten me thinking there might be some substance to the allegations.

EG: Ghash.io has considerably more hash rate than BTCGuild, yet BTCguild is solving more blocks, according to https://blockchain.info/pools - Just bad luck ?
thats what I'm saying. Even with btcguild fee, you make more money and that just doesn't seem logical.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NKT] NAKAMOTODARK New wallet![BITTREX][BOUNTIES][A tribute to the genius][NKT] on: March 16, 2015, 05:28:54 PM
NKT is a tribute coin to nakamoto. First you have to remind this.

Then:

-Roadmap is down cause nkt don't need dice game,in wallet trade or stuff like that. They could create some hype for sure, but please don't be a daily trader here. You really need at this time(february 2015) same and repeated feature like in wallet-trade,anon,stealth,supernet,tor, etc etc? They are really needed for a coin? We don't think. They are good features, but many coins already have them. So, don't ask about this.
They could be done, but it's not our priority.

-We have contacted and talked with: Multipools operators, merchants, but we don't found a good deal so far. Cause we have first check the multipool code, check how it works, and have fully control over it about payout payments. Same for merchants: it could be easy to add nkt to some sites, but we have to find the best for it. Not just some, only to create a short-time hype.

-Code is fully working,NO FORK has been done so far,and it's a plus nowadays.

-We have contacted cryptsy to know what's happen with nkt. Cryptsy was and still remain the exchange with most registered user in.

Our priority is to focus on promotions. Don't wait for new wallet featured, cause the new wallet has been released less than 30 day ago and most important, NKT is only 2 months old.

And don't be to close about the dev activity(just check our total loggin time here since beginning). NKT is out, genesis block is active, code is full working and source is public. So, NKT is not "A dev coin". It's a community coin, based on community feelings.

In wallet trade was part of the original roadmap and what inspired me to invest in this coin and now you're saying it isn't important.
- The code is not fully working -How about fixing the upnp issue that was cloned over from whatever coin you clones this from?
That sounds like a good priority or at least address it since I asked twice about it.
So you wouldn't have an issue if someone just took the coin over from you than? Since it's a community coin and the way you describe it now, I perceive it nothing more than just one of them fake plastic token coins for the arcade games.

Yes,no problem about that.
Sorry guys for the price so far.
This is totally out of control by our side.
We will continue to work even if price reach 0 satoshi.

Take care.

Another reason why I stopped using paypay years ago.
Everyone should just boycott the dam service. Find yourself another way to make payments.
Sure it's a little inconvenient but by continuing to use their service, you contribute to this.
185  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do people think fat asses are attractive? on: March 15, 2015, 09:48:53 PM
I like a nice ass but I don't get asses that big.
We use to make cracks about big butts but now I guess it's the "IN" thing.
Your mommas ass is so big she takes up the entire side of the bus.
Kim's ass is in that category.
186  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: *** GHash.IO mining pool official page *** on: March 15, 2015, 08:00:44 PM
I pulled out my 0.01xxx balance last night and bid them adieu.

Thats what i want to but it states insufficient funds Huh

Any ideas people ??

Cheers

Had the same problems during long "autopayout is not working" periods, when I tried to get my coins.
I guess, "insufficient funds" means: the pool is out of coins. When I asked the support about their "reserve" and autopayouts, all I got was: "we are working on our autopayout mechanisms."

If it's still not working, just open a ticket and ask them to manually withdraw your funds.
They still don't have it working?
They have been working on their auto-payout system for over a year now.

187  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3+ Discussion and Support Thread on: March 15, 2015, 04:37:04 AM
Just picked up  a S3+ off of someone it was loaded with the Jan 9th FIRMWARE. I am seeing high HW errors about one a min is the average. The hash is on spec tho. I have read some of the older firmwares are better.. any thoughts on which one I should try?

EDIT - Look like 12/19 firmware is the way to go.. I already screwed my network settings up trying to get the WIFI to work, luckily the reset button saved me.
my normal s3 gets .0098% hw error on the 1-9-2015 firmware oc'd at 250mhz.
But for whatever reason I couldn't get the wifi to work on it. It would see the AP with 100% signal
but once I connect to it, it always shows 0% I gave up on it.

Your wifi experience is exactly what I get. Once I connect with wifi, it always shows 0% :/
you have to install an antenna to get the wifi working.
you can use one from an old laptop..

im not 100% sure but i think something like this will work.
just run the cable through the fan hole and stick the pad on the OUTSIDE of the case.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2xWNC-Laptop-Internal-Wireless-Antenna-WiFi-Mini-PCI-E-U-FL-for-Intel-7260-3160-/201086699344

I did install one. And even without it installed it will still see a signal.

189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bryce Weiner attempted to tip ISIS!? on: March 13, 2015, 09:05:19 AM
Here's a link to the audio interview with Bryce I mentioned where he discusses the tipping incident:

https://www.mixcloud.com/dogedradio/bryce-weiner-guest-host-commenting-on-tipping-mechanisms-in-crypto-currencies/

So basically he's trying to shift the blame from himself to Twitter.
He should just man up, admit he was wrong and stop acting like a child in my opinion.
that's like blaming the gun for killing someone. When you pulled the trigger.
190  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is someone monitoring large parts of the network? (evidence+firwall rules) on: March 13, 2015, 09:02:32 AM
This is also a reminder to always use tor with Bitcoin 100% of the time (and to use a full node if you can), as that reduces the incentives to pull this kind of stunt.
Making this the default behavior would help both Bitcoin and Tor.
It seems that many synergies could be established between the two projects, since both are disruptive enough to attract the attention of big bad actors.
actually it's a good incentive to move past bitcoin and truly support a real anonymous currency (what that is yet I have no idea) that is the cash of the digital world. Because bitcoin isn't an anonymous currency and isn't going to be.

Explain why this is so great that I see these coins using it?
I see many issues with this platform. Closed Source from what I see, Amazon cloud and located in the USA.
So just another fad?
For people who don't know what privacy is?
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner: Any Miner, Any Where, on Any Device (Free, Open Source, Cross Platform) on: March 12, 2015, 05:20:35 PM
Does multiminer read the fan speeds on the s3's?
I can control the miner via api, but it doesn't show fan speeds, best share or last share submitted.
Well it does show a last share but it is stuck at 19:00 and doesn't ever move.
I'm not sure if I am missing something or not. I never did get fan speeds on the s1 either but
the shares reporting did work.

Currently the only Bitmain / AntMiner specific code is for detecting the chain status and displaying that in the details pane. In addition the "restart suspect miners" feature will consider the chain status when restarting miners.

There is currently no support for displaying their fan speed though I can look into that.

Regarding the share information: that is all returned by the RPC API of the driver. If the value is not updating, that is the value returned by the device.

You can verify the values being returned by your device's RPC API using the API Console:

https://github.com/nwoolls/MultiMiner/wiki/API-Console#api-console
ok thanks again for the help.
I'll look into it more I'm fairly sure the fan speeds can be accessed via api . It really isn't important though.
Just more a curiosity. The shares is peculiar though.
It stopped working when I swapped the s1 for the s3. But I have someplace to look into more
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DarkCoin Instamine Scam on: March 12, 2015, 04:04:11 PM
Does anyone else think the 2+ million coin instamine in the first 48 hours is a disgrace to everything crypto is supposed to stand for?

The darkcoin fanboys don't seem to think it's a problem. They're quick to point out that the project needed funding, but the official explanation is that the instamine was an accident. Seems like a fraudulent way of going about funding a project.

Is darkcoin a good buy, or is the project doomed because of the shady start?

I do and I also think the masternode is another scam. It seems the coin is self destructing though so don't worry about it.
194  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much trust can we put into a private vpn provider? on: March 12, 2015, 04:01:58 PM
If the NSA comes after them looking for information and putting pressure on, possibly being threatening. How much do these service providers actually love their customers that much - like they would make you believe in their advertisements.

Thanks.
to quote a tv series, "trust no one"
Especially a company located in the USA offering these services.

Can't watch a thread without posting in it, can't unwatch a thread without deleting your post (which doesn't always work). (fixed by theymos)

Oh, I'm in another SMF forum where exactly this is an issue. Might one get their hands on this fix, somehow, please? Smiley
To be exact, we are wondering if there's a way to stop seeing a thread in "unreadreplies", like when someone posts in a thread which proceeds to degenerate into unending spam and trolling and keeps showing up although you don't want to see it anymore. If this is something else, never mind.
have you checked github to see if that patch has been uploaded? Maybe the coder here, shared it with smf.
