21  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Shutting down the Global Economy to fight covid a good idea? on: June 19, 2022, 02:21:24 PM
I voted no, in hindsight I feel it's safe to say it was a terrible idea. Unless you like the supply snafu and shortages..
22  Economy / Economics / Re: if you think 18k btc is low wait until autumn ... on: June 19, 2022, 02:18:36 PM
I'm sure it's going to drop some more and I'm sure it's going to bounce back up.
Just another cycle to get in low if you can afford it.

they need to extend the swap due to the way bittrex has been taking so long to process peoples accounts that were disabled due to the US laws.
Sure ppl have had a year to do this, I've been trying since the end of november/december because I wan't paying attention to the currency/exchange.
If they don't, they don't but it would be nice to see another extension for the ones being hung up on getting their accounts enabled at that exchange.
Or get the exchange to make the swap for us? wouldn't that be nice..
Swap is done. People had one year there will be nö extension
oh well don't really care either way. I'm dumping/dumped mine. it's worthless.

your low posts counts do not add any credibility to your statement.
You may or may not know what you are talking about but low posts here usually mean puppets among other things.
I love this... so this translates to "if you are new to the board, please get out"? Doesnt sound very smart either...but thats just my low-posters opinion, so i guess its unimportant.

Maybe he was refering to the buttload of scams around BTG, the half-responsive devs on github, the open questions about the malicious binary file from btg on github, the fraudy official affilate partners promoted on their website, ...etc.

The current raise is interesting though. Ok, scams are kind of normal nowadays, but the amount of officials involved definitely was not helping to gain credibility. To me, their credibility is almost as low as a first posters cred on bitcointalk Wink

edit: its also somehow annoying that there is no dedicated web-wallet or lightweight wallet available atm, even though thats of course not the fault of the btg team. Redeeming the coins still is a hassle, probably not helping the coin to grow. But i guess its just a matter of time till that gets solved.
No it doesn't mean get out, it means be intelligent with your posts or else you will be thought of as someone who has no clue or a puppet trying to spread FUD or other BS. but take it as meaning whatever you feel it means.
I've seen lots of coins with their issues, seen coins come and go and plenty of low post posters shilling or spreading crap about coins.
As I said, "may or may not"  because ppl with high post counts can sell their accounts to idiots as well who like to spread crap or scam ppl as well.

At least your post is intelligent.
I don't attack low posters unless they just talk smack like he did. I'm not attacking you, I'm giving you my time to explain.

BTG has no future. only a fool would buy the coin.
if you don't want to loss better don't buy BTG

IT would be good to understand if "Bitcoin Gold" has anything to do with gold or if the word "gold" has just been attached to make it shine... Smiley
nothing physically to do with gold itself.
Yet by only being able to mine it with a GPU, it could be considered harder to come by hence the gold name.

On another note, who thinks China eliminating (making it very expensive to operate) the asic farms will be a boon to btcg or not affect it all?
I doubt any of those farms will find any place cheaper in the world to run their farms, even taking Iceland into consideration.

Sun is still for free 😎
sun might be free but the taxes on that land isn't, business taxes are not. all of which will be going up in china on these farms.

So I jumped back on to see if my negative balance would sort itself out that way.
It depends on how you look at it, what I was earning was being deducted off their negative balance.
So it was sorting itself out by them stealing from me.

a 10 minute enhanced verification is now going on 6 hours
31  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex ignores thousands of clients! on: January 06, 2018, 05:12:12 PM
finally got a response to reset my basic verification.
they reset my basic verification and told me to do an enhanced.
So I redid my basic; it still wouldn't verify.
It seems their basic verify is broke and they know it.
I'm not happy about their enhanced since when they get hacked someone will have my photo ID.

once again this person has no clue about what they are talking about.
namecoin was the first. It just proves they don't have a clue.
nothing against IX.

I like to buy things easily...but I'm hesitant because of the possibility that items you purchase have issues on Durability and Value for Money.. What can you say about Online Shopping?
that's why you do your research first.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [BTG]Official Bitcoin Gold mining pool btgpool.pro on: January 03, 2018, 11:11:17 PM
Hi, just thought i would throw this in here...

So there has been roughly 144 blocks today (time of post) available to be found. In roughly 24 hours the top 2 pools being Pool.pro has found ZERO and Pool.gold has found THREE...
That leaves 141 blocks found by various others, (probably solo farms?...)

Where the heck do you have to go to stand a chance of getting some blocks a day??

I hate to say it but i am beginning to think that home mining is already dead for BTG, but i thought that was the whole point of BTG?

Thanks...

Or pool.gold isn't reporting them correctly again intentionally or unintentionally.
They "lost" 3 a few weeks ago. I'm still waiting for a response here as my balance still shows in the negative and their twitter account stated it would sort itself out. Well it hasn't yet... I'm not mining there until my balance is corrected, plus they have probably over 51% of the processing power.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just bought 2500 Bitcoin for $0.25 each (NOT A SCAM!!) on: January 02, 2018, 11:24:45 PM
Its called Ixcoin.

- around since Bitcoin (2013)
- first bitcoin fork (yes, it was NOT litecoin)
- still extremely low
- people still waste it on Pizzas
- great, humanistic mission to make the world a better place
- not a "make money quick" scheme like 99% of the others..
- very cheap transactions, reliable, fast.....
- trustworthy and still undervalued

But keep in mind this wont go x50. It wont go x100. It will go x10000.

So now you know. Please dont complain at me later that you did not know/did not get in early when its
at $10k a coin.
actually that is namecoin, which began in 2011.
Which has very good uses and is way underutilized imnsho.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: January 02, 2018, 10:54:33 PM
I like it. Something make me think it's gonna reach Bitcoin cash levels soon

I have started playing around with sending transactions. In one case, a transaction was accepted but never confirms. If I try to submit it again, I get duplicate transaction error, so I know it is in the mempool.

I also have a HODL test transaction that is being refused by the network, which means something is broken in the mining code.

My Bitcoin Cash stuff all works okay. So with BTG being broken and BCH not broken, I would bet on BCH.

The devs of Bitcoin Gold definitely need to get hat sorted out and to work even harder on their coin, otherwhise it can't compete with the reallly big and successfull cryptos. Currently, it's only the name that keeps BTG Gold over water and maybe the mining with GPUs

It doesn't make a change for me. Bitcoin shouldn't be mined with GUP type equipments and anything that makes this possible is considered as a standard altcoin. By using name bitcoin, they only aim to fool people.
I disagree, to many mega asic farms out there, you have bitmain manufacturing the equipment, mining with it, than selling it.
Way too centralized and lets not forget their code they added but didn't tell anyone about till it was exposed.
GPU mining guarantees it will stay the peoples coin for quite some time.
Sure you can buy an asic miner, or own a thousand but you won't compete with the major farms out there.
This is the way bitcoin should have been from the beginning.
Now we just need the miners to spread the hashing power around the pools instead of staying on pool.gold or the other one that slips my mind currently.
btg.gold? idk..

I still can't even get a password reset. I've emailed back off the support emails but nothing.

Does the US tax legislation implements any burden to non-US tax residents (eg, a US citizen lives in Switzerland)?
If you are a US citizen living abroad you must pay taxes still on your income, gains etc.
Nothing is changed just because you don't live in the country currently.
They claim it's because you enjoy the full privileges of a US citizen still.
You keep saying nothing has changed but it must be that you haven't
read the new tax bill BECAUSE THEY ARE TAXING EVERY SINGLE TRADE COIN TO COIN OR COIN TO FIAT DOES't MATTER
THEY ARE STIFFENING THE ECONOMY

I didn't say nothing has changed.
Learn to comprehend, read over what I wrote. Quit being chicken little for a minute and slowly read what I wrote.
