41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: BitcoinGold.org Mining BTG Official Pool - IVT Pool - No Fees and 5% Extra Bonus on: January 01, 2018, 04:23:10 PM
decent pool, not enough workers. all the work is being done by pool.gold who lost 3 blocks than made quite a few of our accounts in the negative when they attempted to credit them back.
So jump on the pool give it a try, spread the work out.

I'd love a spot on this.
Very generous of you.
Happy New Year
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IRS taxing cryptocurrency trades starting Jan. 1st. on: December 31, 2017, 08:40:38 PM
get off american exchanges, one way to sidestep the issue. Until the IRS can vacuum up out of country exchanges.
At least that's my plan for now.

the transaction fee will be higher than what the kebab costs.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 22 days still transaction stuck on: December 31, 2017, 12:43:37 PM
I've had a transaction stuck since 10-29-17. That shows as still in mempool .
I had another transaction I was able to abandon and it came back to me.
I've had my wallet closed for a few days and nothing has happened to it. I guess I need to wait a few weeks and not open it.
Which is just plain silly...
46  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitcoin did not credited to account balance at bittrex on: December 26, 2017, 08:07:49 PM
Good luck trying to get support, I've been trying for almost a month now, others have had issues since November.
They don't seem to understand the concept of hiring more support staff or don't care.
If they do really care for their business then they should really be sensible enough regarding on this matter because if they would let this thing then for sure people would really jump out into other exchange theres no doubt on that. Before its too late they should really consider to add up personal who handle support because as of now their support system do really suck and would really takes ages for them to reply.
If and when I finally can access my funds, I will be moving my measly funds off their exchange for sure.
I wouldn't put up with this with a brick and mortar bank, I sure won't accept it from some virtual exchange.
If they ever get this resolved ...

I'm still waiting on a response about my worker stats. No I'm not installing telegram, use the forum so others can see the history.
I know it's the holidays but dedicated people would check in.
In the meantime, pool.gold is fsked with negative balances and blocks that were missing,.
SO I am givving IVTCoin a try.
Otherwise I'm beginning to think all the pools are thieves.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [BTG]Official Bitcoin Gold mining pool btgpool.pro on: December 24, 2017, 12:28:40 AM
Been mining over 24hrs on this pool and have over 8,000 shares submitted.  No pending balance, no payouts, no nothing.  It shows my workers and shares, but 24 hrs without anything even pending is a bit absurd.  I'd try to contact them directly for help, but I am not giving out my phone number to use their stupid chat support system.
They haven't found a block in 24 hours so you wouldn't have any pending balance or payouts.

Ahh... I see.  I stopped mining.  Will I still get rewarded once they find a block since I contributed 8,xxx shares?  Sorry for the n00b questions!
That probably depends on when they find a block, and how long they time their share system. The more time goes by with no shares submitted the less you earn off the shares you have submitted.
Most likely after 8 hours (or less) of no submissions you won't see anything. It probably is even less than that since blocks are being found and old shares from past blocks start to deprecate. Pretty much any work done off old blocks that were not found by the pool won't all go to the next found block, if the pool finds that "next" block.

51  Economy / Speculation / Re: I Am Seeing RED !! on: December 23, 2017, 07:24:15 PM

The  cryptocurrency market right now is turning into a sea of RED...with almost all coins down not just with Bitcoin! I am sure that this can go down as one of the major corrections experienced by the market but just like in the past what goes down will also go up...we just need a little more time for things to settle down and get normal again.

This big dip is the best opportunity for anyone who has the money to buy cryptocurrency at the cheap rate and then make good profits when things will be normal again in a few days. Surely, things can get worse before they can get better. I am just holding on and just continue on watching the market go redder minutes after minutes until things can subside.

As to Bitcoin, what is your best prediction at the level it will stop sliding? The best answer will get a very special rpize from me...because I am the Bitcoin Santa Claus for 2017!

It's about the long game, not short term. It seems to have stopped sliding now and I don't see it sliding much more unless he US govt dumps their hoard onto the market all at once.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bcash will die in 2018 and Bitcoin will be even more valuable on: December 23, 2017, 05:31:02 PM
Honestly besides the initial launch pains, bitcoin gold is a better altcoin.
It keeps the hashing power decentralized like bitcoin was intended for.
Bitcoin cash is just a "we're taking our ball home" game
At least btcG is offering something, a way to stop huge mining farms. Put the power the power back into the hands of the people, where it belongs.
53  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase - are you serious on: December 23, 2017, 05:27:17 PM
bittrex has been the same way since november.
I can't even get a password reset on their support site.
54  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 2017 Christmas "correction" on: December 23, 2017, 05:18:18 PM
I'm using mine to buy what I need/want. holding as I see fit.
It isn't an investment to me but an asset to be used as warranted.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [BTG]Official Bitcoin Gold mining pool btgpool.pro on: December 23, 2017, 03:44:43 PM
I have been mining there for over 12 hours and my worker is not displaying stats at all such as avg hashrate. No 30 minute or 3 hour windows.
The wallet address I supplied is valid and shows on the workers page it's hashrate/shares and the efficiency just fine.
I can't adjust the payout threshold either because it is showing an IP that doesn't belong to me.
Clicking on the myip link shows a completely different IP than what is in the box displayed.
Entering my IP gives an invalid IP.
Am I missing something here ? what are your thoughts?
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people try to create their own coins? on: December 18, 2017, 01:14:09 AM

57  Other / Off-topic / Bitcoin for Air Rifles on: December 16, 2017, 07:35:56 PM
Anyone know of a air rifle distributor in the U.S. that accepts bitcoins for payment?
I haven't seen any but I'm hoping there is one that I missed.
I'm looking for a big bore air rifle. Found one site that looked like it took bitcoin but in checkout they don't accept it.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Atom - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Atomic Swap Powered on: December 10, 2017, 11:05:01 PM
Atomic Swaps are the way forward for exchanging - this is called innovation for decentralization.

Bitcoin holders will receive one Bitcoin Atom for each Bitcoin they hold.

Merry X-mas Roll Eyes

if you want to decentralize, get rid of sha256 and move to a gpu only algo.

I guess there is people who have been waiting on a response since the beginning of november

are you verified?
tried, it won't verify correctly, support won't respond. Others who have done the extensive verify are reporting the same issue.
