I just notice the roadmap on the op got removed, is a new one suppose to be posted?
your guess is as good as ours on this. I've asked for a 6 month to a year roadmap to supplement the one that was laid out and now it's all gone? That is troubling to me. Hard to build a community with lack of communication. Not so much that a dev hasn't commented in the thread in 5 days but other signs as well.

This is Charlie Lee at Coinbase. I can confirm that we are indeed in the SF financial district. The HQ pictures are not staged. lol
The reason why we don't publicize our actual address is for the exact reason mentioned in this thread. Like someone said, banks and jewelry shops have been robbed for a lot less money. We have implemented security measures (cold storage, key splitting, ninja guards, etc.) to prevent rogue employees and armed gunmen from stealing the bitcoin we have stored for our users, but people don't know that. After hearing stories of how BitStamp lost 19,000 BTC, a crazy guy might just think it's worth the risk to come rob our office. And if they manage to get through our security to get to our office and find out that we aren't able to access the bitcoin, they are not going to be very happy. You can all imagine that this is NOT a situation we want to ever see ourselves in.
We'd rather be safe than sorry!
And to answer some of your questions. A) We never claimed to be licensed in CA. The press did. I guess they just assumed we were. They also incorrectly claimed that we supported 25 states, when in fact we only supported 23 states + Puerto Rico at launch. We just started supporting Nebraska today. B) The coinbase.com/lunar site was just a fun way to tease people on the internet and to create some buzz. C) We've had USD wallets on Coinbase for 1.5 months now. You could have easily gotten money on our system and bought coins before we released the exchange. And if you had money in your USD wallet at launch, you would have been able to use our exchange immediately. D) Our VC money is not meant to be used to speculate on Bitcoin price nor is it sane for us to support the Bitcoin price. We do not control the price. The market does. E) It's not a fake address. We receive mail at that address.
Hilarious. I guess all the banks and jewelry stores in the world should go into hiding. We better throw in the liquor stores and even 7-11s too, I heard they get robbed as well. yea jp morgan boa and goldman sachs should all go into hiding too. Wall st business have more of a reason to hide than some rinky dink exchange trying to enter the big boy pool.

I thought smf fixed the avatar exploit a while back and/or it was permission issues. It's been a minute since I managed smf so *shrug* either way with this many users, I'm sure avatars would just be an added resource hog in more ways than one.
Being fixed and being 100% secure are two different things. This forum is targeted probably like no other SMF forum out there and so has to be robust. nothing is 100% secure not even air gap now. so I have no idea what planet you're on or if you just want to troll. with smf being open source and well established I'm sure a bounty could be posted to audit and make it more secure.

Why is the map port using upnp box grayed out with a check in it? It has been that way since I installed the client and no matter the permission I run it at, it never allows a change. I'm just trying to figure out why I can't see more than 5 or 6 nodes at a time. I have upnp disabled but the ports have been opened manually and other qt clients seem to have no issue with that feature.

I've noticed something interesting with the stats today, and I'm not sure what to make of it. I have two Antminer S5s, one running at 387.5MHz and one at 400MHz, each with their own worker. I unplugged one (the 400MHz) about 13 hours ago, and I wanted to see what the 12 hour stats looked like. When I first checked, both workers had the same 12hr average down to the hundredth of a GH/s. I though it was a little weird but just figured there was still some of the off time in there and it was a coincidence, so I waited for the next update. The 12 hr average diverged at the next update a little, but at this most recent update they are back to displaying not only the same hashrate, but exactly the same number of accepted shares. Worker 135 12 Hours 1,301.04 Gh/s 13086208 <-The 387.5MHz one, device shows 1278GH/s Worker 136 12 Hours 1,301.04 Gh/s 13086208 <-The 400MHz one, device shows 1319GH/s
I could see them matching up once, but having the exact same number of accepted shares twice in an hour seems extremely unlikely.
I think the S5 has a bug where it only sends up to N shares per period of time, which would explain this behaviour. Why do you think that? Have you brought this to bitmain's attention or?

above poster has an excellent point. Yet chew on this. Propaganda... I can see it as a paid piece to give the impression that the people don't mind so let us keep doing it. Jedi mind trick stuff. But again young people really don't give a shit and can't keep their nose out of their phones or facebook.

There are Doers and Talkers in this world. The forum is no different.
yea and with altcoins on here there are a lot of talkers. I'm invested in the coin, but I'm skeptical that it will turn into yet another scam coin. I would like to see a 6 month roadmap to have more faith and see the true potential of this coin. The march goal of in wallet chat and trade is a good start, but we need more to push this coin above all the flotsam. In wallet anonymous trade? where is the dark part of the coin besides the name? and all these 100 posts 6 mth old accounts shilling the coin isn't giving me any confidence. Look at DOGE coin there was no innovation but they had (and still have) strong community. If we will keep healthy trading volume and good PR we will be a part of crypto for a long time. doge is an aberration. It started off as a joke and to be absurd. Yes this could have the same potential. But do you really just want to be another doge or the bitcoin replacement?

Let's try it again..
Withholding attack! Withholding attack!
It has to come from deep in your heart. Like *withholding attack*? Two members murmuring "withholding attack" - et voila: Two blocks found: https://blockchain.info/de/blocks/EligiusI keep my tin hat nearby and while I'm not smart enough to prove it. it sure seems like blocks found have diminished on a lot of pools lately.
