261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much of new crypto projects? on: February 26, 2022, 09:00:13 PM
I completely agree.

99% of the crypto projects that currently exist or are currently coming out are going to go absolutely nowhere.

But when there is free money to be made, there will be people trying to take advantage of the situation. And that is what's happening right now.

Memecoins and P2E are two fields I think where there should be a lot less projects around, but the low cost of founding your own project these days mean that everyone wants to do it.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this for real? on: February 26, 2022, 08:52:16 PM
Well, what exactly can the government do to ban PoW? Shut down the whole internet?

It's simply not possible if there is no centralized point of failure, and that is only the case for a very small subsection of the entire crypto market.

Besides, there is an increasing shift for cryptos to go to other algorithms including PoS. If need be, BTC could possibly shift to that as well (although I don't think that the community would be in support of it, nor should it happen).

After I lost all the money i have Wich is +20 k, i was living in hard situation coz i didn't buy the house i had planned with my wife to buy and she was angry as she didn't understand all this, she think it's only like casino...

Without an actual strategy, this is essentially a casino.

Especially if you are playing with leverage. That stuff is extraordinarily dangerous for beginners to touch.

I wouldn't say that futures are always bad - you can do some very useful things with it, including hedging your positions or whatnot. But overwhelmingly people are misusing it as a tool to get rich quick, and that is definitely not going to happen. Markets are quite efficient and you never quite know what's going to happen next.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Uniswap Token to $50? on: February 26, 2022, 08:31:56 PM
I've seen somewhere that Uniswap V3 will be launched sometime this year. The code is already available on GitHub. Based on what I've read online, the new Uniswap iteration will make use of off-chain solutions in order to deal with high fees and slow transaction confirmation times. This will make trades faster and cheaper than ever before. I'm starting to wonder the impact of "UNI" token's price as the new Uniswap V3 platform becomes extremely popular in the mainstream world.

Do you think the Uniswap token will reach $50 soon? If not why? What is your prediction for UNI's price after the launch of V3? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

Yes.

I think that the business license situation with Uniswap will also help it against the competitors who simply fork it.

The governance token will have increased utility and value given that the tech is now unique. It would depend on how the larger crypto markets are doing, but given the volatility I do think that $50 is a very possible outcome for UNI.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin, Dogecoin Gain After Musk's Tweets, But Will There Be Another Bull Run? on: February 26, 2022, 11:23:36 AM
It's very unlikely for Doge to see another bull wave, in my opinion.

People are now desensitised to the erratic movements of the markets and are unlikely to buy into any further hype when it comes to memecoins that have no utility.

Besides, the macroeconomic conditions would suggest that we will have a long 2022 due to tightening interest rates worldwide. Crypto does not respond favourably to these macro conditions, so that is definitely something to consider. BTC should hold up nicely though since it is considered to be a reserve asset and a form of storage of value in these very volatile times.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why people keep "investing" money in shit/memecoins? Genuine question. on: February 26, 2022, 11:06:02 AM
It is something that bugs me till today. Are they mostly newbies trying to find a path to enter cryptouniverse or experienced people who are just gambling to score a moonshot on luck?

This is the "meme" rank on coinmarketcap, there's millions on deflationary tokens with no effort from the "devs" at all. Just copy/paste a code, copy/paste a whitepaper, eventually pay few bucks for a domain and that's it.
Why people fall for that, yet?

If one more person tries to sell you the EMH, show them this.

But yeah, it's crazy isn't it. But it's what happens when you combine wilful ignorance with tons of debt fueled capital. Very interesting results indeed, but not at all surprising.

It's essentially a ponzi scheme, these tokens. The investor is always investing with the intention of being early and there being people after them who are willing to pay more, which is not at all guaranteed.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tell us about the best altcoin in the current situation. on: February 26, 2022, 10:59:28 AM
The market has been going downhill for some time now. In order to get the best return in such a situation, which altcoin should we invest in that gives us the maximum benefit?

You could always hedge your bets with some sort of stablecoin farming strategy.

Anchor protocol is still offering 19.5% APY guaranteed which is a heck of a deal if you ask me for a delta-neutral strategy.

If you don't want fiat exposure, then you may also want to just invest in some of the blue chip PoS cryptos - including ETH2.0 staking, SOL staking, etc. Not only do you benefit from price rises, you also get consistent rewards too.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to spot a x100, x1000 or x10000 coin ? Isn’t this the million $ question ? on: February 26, 2022, 10:45:48 AM
It's the same idea of stock picking.

Stock picking doesn't work because it's way too complicated and there are too many variables to keep in check. You simply cannot outperform the market in the long run with this strategy, unless you are a once in a lifetime talent that does extremely detailed research and due diligence.

Same thing goes with trying to find a 100 bagger - you could maximise your chances by reading the whitepaper, etc., but markets are rarely rational especially in crypto so there is no guaranteed strategy.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pancakeswap? on: February 26, 2022, 10:37:49 AM
Can someone explain to me this?  I literally see the daily highest net gainers to be coins like shiba tron which are like meme coins as they call it.  Almost all these coins when i check where its traded is almost always on pancakeswap or uniswap.

So basically if you want to trade these coins, you have to get account there?  But how are the fees?  Do you need ETH for this?  BTC is no use for those exchanges?

You don't need an account to trade on AMMs.

Essentially, the reason is that low market cap coins are the ones that are likely to make the most gains, especially the memecoins. These coins are not going to be listed on any centralized exchanges, so the only way that they can be traded is through DEXs.

Pancakeswap is mostly used due to its cheap fees on BSC - that's where all your memecoins are mostly changing hands in.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are your plans for the 2022 crypto market? on: February 26, 2022, 10:33:53 AM
I think that it is clear the correction is upon us.

Right now, you just need to ensure that you preserve your capital and you don't make any over-leveraged moves that wipe you out in the bear market.

Historically, 2 years after the halving is going to see a very bearish market outlook and I think that is what we're seeing right now. The conflicts happening geopolitically certainly doesn't help, and the Fed tapering as well.
271  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐BrawlBets⭐ Fight Predictions ✅ 64% Win rate ✅ 2.3+ odds ✅ New Autobet Feature on: February 26, 2022, 12:13:05 AM
How can you possibly guarantee profits? What are the caveats with that?

If you could guarantee profits, then why not just use these strategies yourself instead of leaking them to a third party for a few bucks a day and risk having the inefficiency pulled from you by the sportsbook?

~20 bets alone is not enough to say that you are profitable from what I can see. This could just be due to short term variance.
272  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💣 Minesweeper.Games 💣 | The Best Bitcoin Minesweeper | No KYC 💣 on: February 24, 2022, 10:53:54 PM
Welcome! I like this idea a lot.

I was just wondering on the odds side, what do you actually offer in terms of house edges compared to your competitors?

Do you actually offer substantially better odds, or is the % difference quite marginal?

Also I would highly suggest a clarification as to what 553 is and what that company has in relation to your business. This can confuse people quite a bit imo.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Interesting odds, bonuses and promotions on: February 24, 2022, 10:27:53 PM
I believe Sandboxcasino had a really good bonus that they were giving out, but I think due to abuse they had to shut it down.

The problem with all of these attractive bonuses etc. is that they are incredibly short-lived and it's hard to jump at the chance.

You also need to consider the KYC/AML aspects of things. Some of the best bonuses are given by casinos/sportsbooks that are wanting you to jump through their hoops and play their verification,  but that may not necessarily be the path you want to go down.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bustabit.com unfairness on: February 24, 2022, 10:11:13 PM
Hello everyone , I don’t know where to start.

But during my time using bustabit I’ve experienced unfairness with the owner and his power ego
I’ve had my account disabled without warning /email notification saying if I deposited in said account I won’t be able to withdraw something like that should be mandatory even PayPal, cashapp , has it. unless it’s fraud you can’t withdrawn until proving it’s actually you.
Anyways. I’ve dealt with this for a while and this started when I loaned someone 6k called Luke and when he lost he told Daniel I made him lose and I say was asking for bits when I showed proof I’m asking what I loaned. I got muted for “begging “ ever since then no matter how much I pleaded he kept muting. Ok fine I stopping caring about chat, I mainly use shiba for balance and now recently without notice all I did was rained bits and I got muted and my funds disabled. He forcefully made me agree to something  that’s not in the chat rules or toss. He stated if I spoke to anyone about my ban  he’d mute and lock my account .

And for the dick riders that like to pick up for him without knowing the full story I can show all proof.
Everyone has a policy and you can’t make up a rule as you go. Because if you actually took this to court they’d ask did the policy say after x amount of mutes it’s permanent banned with froze account ? I’m not here to bash the website. As I like playing there but I don’t like the unfairness. I’ve seen whales muted on mutiltple accounts but their balance didn’t get freeze.

Sorry to hear this.

Bustabit has a pretty good reputation on the scene, so I think that a lot of community members would very much appreciate proof of your allegations.

Lending to users on gambling sites in general is very sketchy, and sometimes it is explicitly banned by the casino (not sure if that is the case here). But freezing funds would certainly cause a lot of raised eyebrows in this scene.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CrazyTime and Monopoly, should we trust? on: February 24, 2022, 09:43:49 PM
Based from the poll, gamblers here are not trusting this kind of live games. And yet, many gamblers are playing this game. So if you don't trust this game, why are you playing?  Tongue So yes, for me, if you have doubt about the provable fairness of the game, better choose a trustworthy casino. At least, they are tested with a lot of players and if they are running shady operations, it will be expose by users.

I am not surprised because we have motto "Don't Trust! Verify!"
How you could verify a game like this? Can you trust blindly an audit society and their work?
Personally I cannot trust and I will play just for fun (without expecting nothing back, I mean just for entertainment)

I agree.

Just because something is not provably fair wouldn't necessarily preclude me from playing the game for fun.

But I would certainly never put in more than say $50 in total every time I play this game. They could very easily discriminate against higher bets, whereas if the game was rigged, they are less likely to target smaller bets.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.com.au in probelms for unwanted gambling advertising on: February 24, 2022, 09:00:31 PM
"Trying to unsubscribe"? You mean they haven't unsubscribed yet, hence they received the emails. Or they unsubscribed but received gambling promotional offers? If it is the latter, then the yeah, pay fines to the customers is justified, but if it's the former, then this makes no sense. Anyone can claim that they tried to unsubscribe, they couldn't and ask for compensation for the "damage" gambling has caused them. But this would make more sense if sportsbet did it on purpose (which I doubt) so people couldn't unsubscribe from their newsletter. Anyway, lesson learned. They will likely be more cautious now.

I'd presume the latter.

I agree that if it was the former, the claims are baseless.

In general, any fiat sportsbooks/casinos should understand that advertising is very murky waters. The government will pick at anything you do, so you need to ensure that all aspects of voluntary exclusion are upheld, including advertisements.
277  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gamdom.com - 3 Million+ users - Jackpots, Rains - unique games modes on: February 24, 2022, 08:44:12 PM
I have concern why there's no live chat support and how many levels should I get before I can use the public chat? I also wants to ask about the auto bet I placed $0.1 bet and if lose my bet should be in 2x which should become $0.2 but when I looked at the bet after losing it is $1 was that the minimum for automated bets? I think you should also consider the low bets, the game is roulette by the way.

I'm not that concerned about the lack of live chat - you can get your point across fairly easily using the public chat or their support function. I've used it before and it works just fine.

In terms of smaller bets, it's up to the casino's discretion.

Some casinos simply don't want to deal with the influx of spam transactions/bets which is the reason why they do this. I've used Gamdom a lot of times back when they were still focusing on CSGO, and I've never found the min bet to be a thing of concern.

Few Key Investor Points
10% Burn profit burn on ERC20 Token
Access to sportsbook analytics (see how well the sportsbook is doing)

Does seem a bit skewed in the interests of the sportsbook?

10% profit going to burn the token doesn't seem enough of a motivation for people to actually invest in your tokens.

Also, I think that sportsbook analytics for a crowdfunded sportsbook is a given. It's not really a feature but an expected course of your stake in the business.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to calculate Gross gaming revenue for online casino on: February 24, 2022, 08:02:37 PM
Isn't this just basic accounting where you deduct outlows from your inlows. It's probably just a matter of preference but the term "Net Gross Revenue" sounds odd to me since you need to deduct all other expenses from the "gross" to arrive at the "net". I would have used Gross revenue and Net revenue instead.

It is basic accounting.

However, this is used to determine how much the slot providers get as a cut of providing their services, as well as online casino hosting solutions.

So in general, the more GGR a casino has, the more the software providers make as well. That's why this calculation is important to get right.
280  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hashwars.games | Blockhash based Rolls/Verification | No KYC | up to 0.01% edge on: February 24, 2022, 07:59:12 PM
The site is definitely not the most professional.

Also as others have said, I don't think that this method of gaming is going to take off any time soon. It seems archaic and slow, and not as exciting as the other game types that are on offer on centralized casinos.

Advertising 0.01% house edge when playing against the house is around ~5% is also misleading imho.
