301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.com.au in probelms for unwanted gambling advertising on: February 11, 2022, 08:40:10 AM
This is actually a pretty big company in Australia.

It's honestly not a lot of money to settle for. These guys make billions in profits most likely and $3.x million is peanuts to them.

And I don't think that they are going to stop doing it any time soon either - this is a core part of their business, getting people signed up through mass email and SMS campaigns.
302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most important features of an online crypto casino? on: February 11, 2022, 12:19:55 AM
So you take note - In the pool, you said we can choose up to 5, but the pool actually doesn't allow selection of more than 1 option.

If the pool allowed selection of more than 1 options, ones I would have chosen are below -

1. Payout speed - this is very important for any genuine casino (not just a crypto casino)
2. Withdrawal limits - this is also very important, a good casino will allow withdrawal of the smallest amount as long as its enough that  the withdrawal fees has been deducted, there is still something left to send to the user's wallet.
3. Software and games - of what use is a casino if it does not have the important softwares in place and enough games for users to play?
4. Variety of cryptocurrencies - this specific to crypto casinos, crypto casinos as the name implies should have different types of cryptocurrencies to which users can deposit to and withdraw from the platform with.
5. Responsiveness to Complaints - alot of platforms, not just casinos are lacking in this aspect, and it is one of the most important, there are alot of newbies in this space and they all need help from time to time, how fast a casino responds to thier customers queries wil determine how ready and serious they are for and with their business.

I agree with the variety of cryptocurrencies point and I think that is actually quite overlooked.

You certainly need to cater for the biggest possible audience as a crypto casino, and one of the most cost effective ways to do so is simply accepting a wide range of currencies.

So many bitcoin-only casinos could benefit so much from just simply accepting ETH, or BNB. No point being a maxi in this instance.
303  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook ("Meta") down 25% in a day on: February 06, 2022, 11:52:00 PM
Not a good time for any tech stocks.

When interest rates are rising, there is a tendency for these companies to sink to the ground with their PE ratios.

I would say that they are pretty fairly priced, though. They still have some of the best employees out there and a vast abundance of information, so this could potentially be a good entry point for investors.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT presales vs ICOs on: February 06, 2022, 11:10:59 PM
I've been deep-diving into many pre-sales and it's quite evident the amount of hype that this new market is generating, and there's still a lot of room for growth in my opinion.

I genuinely think that NFT pre-sales are comparable to ICOs back in 2017/2018, when very few projects required whitelisting and with no vesting schedule, so everybody jumped in in order to sell shortly after the live listing, causing many pump and dump movements, which led many projects to death.

What's your opinion about that?

You're exactly right.

A lot of the NFT sales right now have no substance whatsoever and only exist to make sure that the founders get their payday.

If you are hunting for presales, please do your research and make sure that the art being sold is not being pirated, the smart contract is actually legit, etc.

Lots of resemblance between this NFT craze and the ICO craze back in 2017...
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why you will be left behind if you don’t learn NFT. on: February 06, 2022, 09:59:14 PM
With an NFT, you don't own the JPEG.

You own a place on the blockchain, and that's pretty much it. You don't actually own the JPEG itself which is the misconception that a lot of NFT enthusiasts have. You don't even own the copyright to the JPEG.

So don't get confused here. NFT have utility but not in their current form of art and avatars.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is deflationary? on: February 06, 2022, 08:31:50 PM
If the amount of coins burned exceeds staking rewards, then sure.

But I don't think that this is currently the case per se.

I think that ETH will be less inflationary compared to BTC in the long run, though. This is just a function of its emission curve which is a lot flatter than even BTC due to the burned tx fees. It will be an interesting dynamic for sure, perhaps ETH prices will benefit as a result.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT real store of value on: February 06, 2022, 08:07:44 PM
Not particularly.

I think that there are certain collections that do warrant some praise, but the bulk of the projects are just going to die and go to zero at the end of the day.

Even though they are technically infungible, there are tens of thousands of similar looking collections out there and each collection has thousands of NFTs. Certainly not something that I would want to store my wealth in long term.
308  Economy / Gambling / Re: SandboxCasino.io サンドボックス It's Simple: Fun and Fair. on: February 06, 2022, 07:45:17 PM
Really like the aesthetic as well as the Web3.0 integrations.

I think that this will serve tremendously in the new era of crypto, as people are no longer trying to sign up with their email accounts or whatnot, but just want to sign in with their web wallet interactions.

Are there any plans of tokenising the equity in the casino by any chance?
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to reinvest into Altcoins? on: February 05, 2022, 11:28:17 PM
Bitcoin has made good progress in last two days, we all know that altcoins will follow the same path and some Altcoins like Binance have already started to surge so I feel this would be the right moment to invest into Altcoins like ADA, Solana and ICP which are ready to explode any moments, what's your take on this? Things will be in our favour of we choose the altcoin's wisely and better to invest now rather doing r when it reaches the peak.

But my only worry is what if it's one more bulltrap.

I've been DCAing into the major alts for a while now.

ETH, SOL, ADA, and XMR are my favourites and I think that there is significant potential in the future due to DeFi and NFTs that one of them does flip BTC. XMR is also super privacy centric which could be the next frontier of hype.

I wouldn't neglect BTC, however. While you're DCAing you should invest in a healthy mix of both BTC and alts.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 05, 2022, 10:46:59 PM
1 week left until trade deadline.  Clippers just scooped up Norman Powell great move on their end.  Once kawhi and PG are back Norman will provide a good scoring punch.  And sadly I think the Knicks need to break up the team.  Get what they can for some of the vets.  Give the young guys some run and try to hit the draft and free agency hard over the next couple years.  Lost season...

Fantastic move.

Bledsoe has an expiring contract and is not a great fit for any team due to his inefficient play. Powell and Covington are great 3-point shooters, and are way better than any of the players the Clippers gave up.

I saw a lot of trade grades for this particular transaction and everyone has gave the Clips an A. Jerry West strikes again with his genius.

Yeah I'm a big fan of Norman Powell, excited to see what he can do in the playoffs.  Clips struck gold on this trade.  These are the types of trades the Knicks have to make.  Nothing crazy or splashy but moves that insta upgrade your team.

Wasn't there like 3 years left on Powell's contract as well? Crazy how well the Clips did.

I'm just not sure exactly what Portland is trying to do now though because it seems like they are really lost. They've traded away their best player outside of Lillard and McCollum as well as a centrepiece to their defense. What's next?

Are they just trying to save money from exceeding the cap? If so, I think this is a terrible move.

-snip
I try to register today.

There has some problems for my registration, I already fill all information for (Username, Email, Birthday, and Password) all of them is not red, and checklist for T&C + Promotion. The created account button is can't be clicked, is anyone facing the same problem? I think gonna to miss this promotion since I can't created the account right now.

Also can't create an account since I'm region restricted - bummer.

@OP, are there any KYC requirements in order to withdraw from your site, or is it strictly no-KYC?

But honestly this is one of the few sites out there that are running reasonable and actually attractive bonus programs. 1mBTC with a 1x wagering requirement is not too shabby at all for a few minutes of "work" signing up for an account. Hopefully more people can see this.
312  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gamblineers.com | the Bitcoin Casino Guide on: February 05, 2022, 10:01:50 PM
I added two new casinos to the GCODE promotion, both offering all new players $/€1-5 wager free money.
The casinos are Betroom24 and Mond Casino. I don't think they have been mentioned in this forum yet, so I'd be happy to hear what you think.

I would highly suggest that you only include tested sites.

These sites may well be legitimate, but at the end of the day they are untested and unreliable.

Also, the KYC procedures are unknown and you should disclose whatever they require in terms of ID. Just bonuses is not sufficient to attract customers, especially when layers of identification is required.

314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bet365 and UFC extended their partnership on: February 05, 2022, 09:22:54 PM
I think that if Bet365 continues to only accept fiat, they will face major issues.

Sure, they are hitting up a lot of partners and sponsors but they are not addressing the major shift to crypto based deposits and withdrawals.

There is only so much you can do with promotions and publicity. You still need product dev to sustain your service.
315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 04, 2022, 08:05:01 PM
Vogel has to go.
Lakers loose again. Reggie Jackson outclassed the Lakers without the assistant of PG and Leonard. As the clippers get the W. Am not sure if it's too management or vogel's management but ty Lue out classes again. I reckon the Lakers will make the playoffs but there is too much talent at the moment in the league and I don't think that the Lakers have the pieces. On a lighter note AD is looking tremendous.
Getting double doubles and scoring 30 is looking in great shape but still fragile.

Did you guys see how Reggie Jackson galloped him way down the court to hit the game winner? Absolutely bonkers.

It's funny how Reggie was the backup to Westbrook at OKC but now he is just completely outclassing him.

I agree though, Vogel has to 100% go. It's clear that Ty Lue is 10x a better coach and the Clippers are winning more games than the Lakers without a single allstar on their squad.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most important features of an online crypto casino? on: February 04, 2022, 07:52:41 PM
Yes, there are platforms which gives instant deposit getting visible on the balance and the same allows the user to spend it even before the confirmation of the transaction. This is good, but the same doesn't look like a needed one. Because who expect an instant deposit is a user who is in the losing streak. Maybe if he gets little break, he might get out gambling for some time and controls the emotions of spending to recover the loss immediately. So, I expect gambling platforms to have some particular time set on deposit than reflecting the balance instantly.

Is that even have a relation? How can a deposit time lead to a gambler being an addicted one?

It doesn't matter whether the deposit is instant or not. A gambler will be a gambler regardless of the speed of the confirmation time. It doesn't change the whole thing in general.

I don't see it that way nor any link connecting the situation you have given.

You are right, instant deposit has nothing to do with what is mentioned by Vaskiy. Someone make a deposit, means that s/he want to play at the time after deposit. I have never seen any player who make a deposit then take a break for a while before starting gambling as I cant find the point of taking a break after send the money to the casino. I also confuse how he connected instant deposit with players who are in losing streak. If someone want to get out of gambling, simply do not make any deposit instead of expecting a casino to have long waiting time for the deposit to be reflected in the account.

That is a really good point.

Back when I played dice, I used to exclusively play on Bitsler because of the fact that they would offer instant deposits without any confirmations on the bitcoin network, as compared to their competitors such as PD which were a lot more reputable but didn't offer that.

People simply don't have the patience to wait around like that.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: February 04, 2022, 03:46:28 AM
It will end sooner or later, no doubt about that, but I think we can expect around 10 years more for it to last. Will NFT games replace all the other games, is not a question. Surely, it will never happen. The question is, what percentage of the current gamers may switch to NFT games? Will the whole gaming industry be turned on its head because of NFTs, as NFT supporters like to say?

Partially it will roll over (at least I hope so). I see a lot of downsides to NFT, but the situation in traditional games is even worse - I really don't like that when you buy a character/item you don't own it. According to any TOS, this character/item is fully owned by the developer, and you just bought a license to use it. It looks a lot like a scam, but that's the reality of things now. I hope the NFT fixes this.

What is the point of it? I have no idea, but if that is the case, then why are people buying it if you have only purchased it for licensing purposes? I believe you legitimately own it because you purchased it, but if the developer is a con artist, they could easily take it away from you. The way it usually works is if you read the Terms of Service, the dos and don'ts are usually listed there, and owning something is considered publicity because there is a transaction code as proof. Obviously, it isn't worth it if this is the situation.

There is really no point.

People hype up the NFT concept in the gambling space way too much, when in reality there is very little usage case for it outside of being a loyalty token.

Metaverse gaming right now is simply unattainable with the high gas fees that you'd have to pay. We need to be very realistic about this.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shill me brand new hot micro cap altcoins (Under $500k marketcap) on: February 04, 2022, 03:23:47 AM
Like the topic says, i am looking for new altcoin/token projects under $500k marketcap.

They don't have to be even listed to CMC or Goingecko. I am just looking for potential moonshots. So please use this topic to shill me your projects and describe me why they are worth more then they currently are, or why they would be worth anything at all.

You're not going to find a lot of good quality projects below $500k market cap.

You're going to find that you have a much better chance at finding 100x moonshots when you look around under the $100M market cap in my opinion - that's where SOL, FTM etc. all came from.

I think that FUSE, Monacoin and HIVE are potential winners here. You should look into them.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket betting and experiance on Stake.com (feels unfair, you decide) on: February 03, 2022, 11:43:20 PM
Well, you did bet with their terms and conditions so you will have to accept the outcome of it.

I do feel you from the perspective of a bettor though, but these scenarios would have been already priced into the bet odds so therefore it is pretty fair for them to enforce the rules.

There is not much point in complaining given that I don't think they set their own odds (Probably use some external odds provider).
320  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino behavior that turn you off on: February 03, 2022, 02:49:48 AM
Different forks with different opinions, I have seen quite a lot of gambling sites that have hard a rough pass and this reflects on their reputation both on this forum and outside the forum, this leads me to ask what are the bad behavior of casino operators that turn you off from the site?
When a casino is just something new or newly heard up then i do usually check out the ff;

1. No KYC
2. Instant withdrawals (minimum or lower as possible)
3. Good customer support
4. Popularity/Reputation
5. Fairness

If these things couldnt really be seen and showing off some behavior and connecting with transactions
then this is where i do usually been turned off and lost up interest.

That pretty much sums it up.

I actually think that the amount of community engagement is just as important as a casino's history. There has been plenty of new casinos that have popped up over the years that have been able to prove their worth just through sheer community engagement.

Definitely something to consider if you are a casino operator.
