781  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there a pattern when there is a dump like this? on: June 23, 2021, 08:46:52 AM
Look, there is virtually no way of ascertaining when the bottom is.

People will try to claim that TA is the way to go, but from my 8 odd years in crypto, I have never seen a sustainable TA strategy. Even backtested strategies break down sooner or later, and if you risk too much at once you can get seriously burned.

We don't know where the bottom is, but what we do know that it is close and we're likely below the long term trendline. That should be enough knowledge to prompt you to start accumulating coins through dollar cost averaging and hold for the long run, as opposed to trying to time your buys perfectly.
782  Economy / Economics / Re: FBI aims to keep valuables, $86M cash confiscated in safe deposit store raid on: June 23, 2021, 08:33:04 AM
This is just another reason why digital assets are going to be the future. Physical assets are just way too clunky, hard to transport, and easily exposed to be long term store of values.

There is no way for the feds to be seizing a completely decentralised, online asset class. If you were wrongfully accused of some crime then no one is going to notice that little USB stick that carries the majority of your net worth, so you are totally protected on that front.

Heck, this even reminds me of how valuable the idea of a brain wallet is (if it doesn't have all the security flaws that it does).
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [LIST] Gambling sites with internal exchange on: June 23, 2021, 08:05:35 AM
This is quite interesting. Thanks for the effective fees as well.

I feel like it's generally not a great idea to use these services unless you're actually exchanging dust amounts (under $20 of any token). Otherwise, with fees upwards of 5% of your total transaction, you could be better off copping the withdrawal fees plus the trading fees of the exchange that you work with and still come out on top.

Luckydice seems to be the only reasonable entity here in terms of fees, and even then it's 5x what exchanges generally charge.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 22, 2021, 10:19:57 AM
I personally think that Clippers played a hell of a game in Game 1 without Kawhi and in front of a Phoenix home crowd. And they were within striking distance the whole game with Devin Booker's 40 pt triple double.

They have enough talent and championship pedigree in Rondo to pull an upset against Phoenix imo.

With the odds on offer right now, Clippers series/championship ML might be worth a buy even if you're not a fan of the team.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Cuban Calls for DeFi Regulation After Crypto Investment Goes to Zero on: June 22, 2021, 09:35:42 AM
If you regulate DeFi then it's no longer DeFi. It becomes CeFi.

Cuban clearly doesn't know what he's talking about here. Even though he's obviously a cherished crypto adopter overall he is completely wrong with this.

The beauty of DeFi is that no one single entity can possibly freeze your accounts. What comes with that is an equal and opposite trade-off that you have no recourse when it comes to coin recovery - that's just the reality that you have to accept whenever you hold your own private keys or engage in a DeFi protocol.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Binance too big to fail? on: June 22, 2021, 08:39:40 AM
It's definitely not.

In fact, I'd say that BNB is probably the token that is most prone to any sort of bad news on the regulation side. Any unfavourable news coming out of China, US, and Europe can possibly crush the whole business model of Binance.

Even though they say that BNB is striving to build Defi, it is a fact that most of their profit generation comes from Cefi still. No one will be bailing them out either if they do fail.
787  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅🍅 wintomato.com 🍅Dice 🍅 Slots 🍅 Sport Betting on: June 22, 2021, 08:08:08 AM
I appreciate the fact that you're willing to be transparent with your bankroll.

However, why limit the access to the signed message to only certain members of the community? You would gain a lot more trust if you just signed a message publicly - no one would be able to access the coins anyway.

Also, I do think that site design needs a bit of a rework if that is something that you are able to do within budget. Currently looks way too funky imho.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High discount in presale on: June 22, 2021, 07:53:13 AM
Way too high of a discount if they were ever serious about the token going mainstream.

Just think about it. Would a quality company that is IPO'ing sell their shares at a 75% discount? Would they even sell at a 10% discount if they know that they will get oversubscribed at the IPO price in the first place?

Probably not, right? Same logic applies to tokens and especially ICOs.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vegas Casinos to allow Cannabis Lounges. on: June 21, 2021, 09:11:51 AM
Quite indifferent to the news.

I honestly don't see this having more of an impact on accelerating people's losses than the myriad of alcoholic tdrinks that they already serve up, though.

People who go into these lounges already know the risks and do so at their own peril. There will be no scenario in which the casino is liable to refund losses made by gamblers who are under the influence of cannabis as long as they keep their operations in a regulated, legal manner - and that's pretty much all they would care about anyway.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mafias Most Wanted Fight Fixer on: June 20, 2021, 09:24:15 AM
Not sure what you expected out of Logan vs. Mayweather. The fight was planned to be a money grab for both parties involved from the very start.

In terms of match fixing in actual fights, I think that it's probably a lot more widespread than people think.

It may well be the case that this Farrell guy isn't legit, though. I highly doubt that actual high profile fight-fixers would willingly expose themselves due to potential trouble with law enforcement and retaliation from the underworld who lost money on bets, but they are certainly out there.
791  Economy / Economics / Re: USD Inflation over the last century. Bitcoin can protect you even in the US. on: June 20, 2021, 08:34:43 AM

BTC should therefore be in the portfolio of anyone who is serious about preserving their purchasing power over the long run. Gold is clunky and archaic, yet BTC has all of that and more.

But is stocking of bitcoin the solution from suffering from inflation? In the past one month, bitcoin has barely made it profit in investment for those who hodl at around $40,000/36,000. After the ATH, bitcoin has dropped maybe waiting for another round of bull. The point is reinvesting capital in other aspect like manufacturing and running SMEs can also support that an individual can have enough floating liquidity.

If you're concerned about short term volatility like this, go back to fiat and watch your savings steadily yet surely lose value.

The value of bitcoin does not come from any short term gains that it may make due to excessive volatility. Rather, it comes from the fact that it is a long term decentralised store of value and is set up in a way so that no central bank may manipulate its money supply.

You've seen how BTC has steadily appreciated over the past decade. A large portion of the gains were from new adopters, sure, but to a degree it is also showing its strength as a great long term place to park your funds.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google has lifted its ban on crypto advertisements on: June 20, 2021, 04:01:12 AM
Google recently updated their policies regarding Google Ads and will now allow ads related to cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets provided they have registered with FinCEN. This change is set to take effect in August 2021. As you may recall, the ban was imposed in March 2018 and lasted almost three years.

This easing of crypto advertising restrictions is a positive sign. Google appears to be warming up to bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general as many governments, financial institutions and private companies are increasingly liberalizing their crypto policies these days. What do you think?

It's certainly a good development.

But to be honest, they're only doing this for their own gain, which is fair enough. They also want to have a piece of the crypto bull market cake by offering advertising services to sectors that are booming in market cap.

It's a win-win situation, though. Google clearly benefits from a corporate perspective. Now that regulations are tighter on advertisements, hopefully the community will see less phishing/scam crypto sites and finally get rid of that problem.
793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Auto Deduct System on: June 20, 2021, 03:39:01 AM
What do you think of an AutoDeduct System of a Gambling Platform? Says you just connect your wallet like for example on a Dice Game, then it will just roll itself everytime it sees some funds on your wallet whatever coins it was until you are left with Zero ( Funds withdrawn or Funds gets Zero?)

I just have think of this as LOTTO ( site : lotto.finance) is implementing this, and one way to get out of that is to either wrapped the tokens or bridge it on another chain, do you think its reasonable not to have a stop button to exclude your address once you don't want it anymore?

Don't think it's the best idea.

Linking any external service to your wallet is probably a bad idea given that they'll have essentially infinite access to your coins.

This idea is only feasible with balances that are already stored on the site itself, and implementing an autobet feature that regularly places bets on lotto or whatnot. Otherwise, it's way too risky to hand over any degree of access to your address directly.
794  Economy / Economics / Re: USA dollar and USA economy are Not Same on: June 20, 2021, 03:16:36 AM
You're right in saying that the US dollar's movements do not encapsulate the US economy's underlying fundamentals all the time.

However, holding USD is probably the worst decision you can make right now. Inflationary risks are extremely high with YoY inflation of 5% or more, and there are just overall long run risks with holding a depreciating asset like the USD.

It's not even going to be the global reserve currency in a decade's time. It's almost guaranteed that the CNY or some decentralised crypto will overtake its status.
795  Economy / Economics / Re: Amateur Traders Cause Bubbles on: June 20, 2021, 02:33:51 AM
What a load of rubbish.

It's as if they haven't seen the state of the real estate market and how that is the biggest bubble out of anything over the last couple of decades, almost solely driven by institutional investors and developers.

This is a blatant attack on retail investors and their ability to make decisions. The best retail investors are just as capable (if not more so) than biased Wall Street analysts that recommend stocks/funds for their own gain.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for reputable sites with original Blackjack games (no infinite decks) on: June 20, 2021, 02:07:27 AM
As the title says, i am looking for some reputable gambling website with a blackjack game, not via a provider but their own design like stake or blackjack.fun has.
What i need is being able to play with low amounts (talking satoshis, like 100 satoshis min. bet amount)
I also dont really like the idea of infinite decks that stake has and i really dont like how the blackjack is on bc.game

Prefferably looking for max 8 decks, 3 to 2 bj payout, hit/stand on soft 17 doesnt really matter i guess.

Instant withdrawals are also a plus, KYC isnt much of an issue, looking for crypto websites, they can have fiat incorporated but i dont want fiat to be the main concern.
Also looking for website with enough cashflow so bigger withdrawals(yep i know sounds funny when i say bigger withdrawals even though i am asking for 100 satoshi minimal bet) in the future

Please feel free to link me some of your refferals here below.

Thank you

If you don't care about deck penetration then just play live blackjack. They pretty much have everything that you ask for - 8 decks, ~50% deck penetration, and most pay 3:2 on blackjacks as long as you don't play some shady variant.

I don't really get how it would make that much of a difference though especially when you are betting at a low volume, though.

You'll never truly be able to engage in AP with blackjack, and it wouldn't be worth it anyway at this scale.
797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto-Casinos and KYC on: June 19, 2021, 10:40:02 AM
Right now freebitco.in is the only casino I know that doesn't ask for any KYC. The casino in my signature is also not famous for asking KYC but they still have it in their ToS if I am not wrong which means they can weaponize KYC when it is necessary. (not saying they do or they will. They can though)

I don't know why crypto casinos want a license neither. freebitco.in has no license and they have been doing just fine.

That's just flat out wrong.

There are still a lot of casinos out there that implicitly never ask for your KYC. Bitsler, roobet, duelbits, you name it. Sure, they have the final say when it comes to whether you get KYC'd or not, but isn't that every single casino that you play on (including freebitco.in, which has atrocious odds)?

Unless you play on a decentralised betting exchange, which is not yet fully popularised, I don't think you can ever escape this inevitability. This risk of AML protocol has to be accepted on any central platform.
798  Economy / Gambling / Re: 👑 COINROYALE.COM • The Original Provably Fair BTC Casino • Trusted Since 2013 on: June 19, 2021, 01:33:13 AM
Hello Coinroyale, why do you not offer any live betting in your sports section? Only pre-game bets available?

100% need this.

To compete with Stake and the other big sportsbook names, you need to at least offer in-game bets.

Adding other features such as bet cashouts during games would also be cool, and if you can get your odds to be competitive there it would mean a lot. I personally like your site a lot and would switch over if I had the opportunity to bet on live NBA and NFL matches some time in the future.
799  Economy / Economics / Re: Not just money but oil is most important in the World on: June 19, 2021, 12:23:22 AM
Crude oil certainly does have a large influence on economic activity, there is no doubt about that.

But that influence is shrinking substantially as EV's become more and more popular and realistic as a form of transport by the day. This can be clearly seen by the EV SPAC boom earlier last year and the huge runup TSLA has had.

No single asset is "most important", period. They all have their boom and bust phases.
800  Economy / Speculation / Re: Number of transactions declining in last 2 months. on: June 19, 2021, 12:00:20 AM
Yeah, all signs definitely point towards a bearish season for BTC.

The macro conditions are somewhat deteriorating as well. Stock prices have dropped somewhat in terms of the Dow's adjustment, and commodity prices such as gold and silver have also dropped significantly.

Investor sentiment overall has pulled back drastically with prospects of continued future pumps a lot more slim. Be wary and on the lookout for cheap coins here.
