101  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] BDT - 3% weekly interest bond, backed by Bitdaytrade on: September 20, 2012, 01:08:18 AM
I'm glad you guys are going after this scammer (both because I own some bonds and this crap needs to stop).  It looks like collection should pan out well, especially if his parents own hotels etc.

What on earth makes you think that his parents assets have anything to do with this or that they'd bail him out?

Well it shows that their is money in the family, you can't get money out of somebody who has nothing.  Alberto supposedly owned a couple houses too

We're pushing for jail and repayment, this was fraud.
102  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: GLBSE 2.0 open for testing on: September 20, 2012, 12:51:02 AM
Also some great news, thanks to LWCoder for creating an awesome GLBSE Android client, it's up on the GLBSE front page (you'll need to logout to get it).

That's great. But is this an official endorsement of the app by GLBSE? Does it mean that the source code of the app has been audited and that it won't try to do anything funny with my API key?

I'm not accusing anyone of anything, just want to know what the level of endorsement of this app is by GLBSE.

No it does not, but the only thing the API can do is buy/sell and get your account details.
103  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] BDT - 3% weekly interest bond, backed by Bitdaytrade on: September 19, 2012, 11:05:05 PM
Alberto has decided to cooperate.

Spread the facts of his crime with anyone he tries to work with or have any kind of a relationship with. Use ostracization instead of violence, because not only will you follow the non-aggression principle which allows for a peaceful and prosperous society but is also much more effective.

If it was more effective, then it would be used. Also it doesn't work in an anonymous online society when people can re-invent themselves at the drop of a hat. It was only after problems with BDT that we learned he was also bitscalper, had we known he would not have been allowed to even IPO.

Never mind that there are plenty of people who are willing to do business with him online, this isn't a small village.
105  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] BDT - 3% weekly interest bond, backed by Bitdaytrade on: September 19, 2012, 10:39:14 PM
@ Nefario:

I dont think Alberto, criminal as he may be, signed any privacy agreement with you, that entitles you to post his personal information like this in public. Im on your site and have no tolerance for delinquancy like this in bitcoin world, that's why I'd like to warn you and advise you to take this information down ASAP. Otherwise Alberto's site may have good arguments in court to have your charges tuned down or even worse, sue you for putting that info up. Please reconsider!

Alberto agreed to this information being published, in the event of him scamming or running with the money, on sending it to me, I wouldn't post it otherwise.
106  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] BDT - 3% weekly interest bond, backed by Bitdaytrade on: September 19, 2012, 10:29:23 PM
The rest of your post doesn't make much sense.

I agree and suggest that you put hazek on ignore immediately. He is wasting our time with trolling crap while we're trying to take care of important issues.

Nefario, thanks for taking the lead in this.

Well we've kind of exhausted our options, we've spent weeks trying to get Alberto to make good on his commitments.
107  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] BDT - 3% weekly interest bond, backed by Bitdaytrade on: September 19, 2012, 10:17:50 PM
I can't believe how hypocritical this sort of action is Nefario. Well I guess it depends on what you believe because I am not really sure about your beliefs, but if you are a proponent of a peaceful prosperous society that governs itself without a small gang of thugs that enforces their arbitrary rules through violence, I just can't understand how you want to have a business that doesn't follow their rules and yet use their violence to for your own personal egandas.

There's a peaceful way to solve this problem.

Whoa whoa whoa there, what are you talking about violence for.

Alberto agreed to have this information published if he scammed shareholders or ran off with their BTC.

The publishing of it has two purposes,
1) to prevent him from being able to do it again as everyone knows who he is(he can't re-invent himself),
2) to make it easier for us to find him and prosecute him, for fraud.

The rest of your post doesn't make much sense.

Oh I'm sorry, I assumed by prosecution you meant use police and the justice system i.e. the small group of thugs that enforce their rules through violence i.e. the government's aparatus to hunt the man down, kidnap him and imprison him i.e. use violence to punish him.

Did you have something else in mind with "prosecution"?

I did, what I meant was I was going to go there and lick him until he gives back the bitcoins.

Alberto Armandi is also known as bitscalper, and is responsible for the theft of 4K BTC from Kronos.io, once he is caught prosecution can also be made for these cases as well.

Did you guys know before that he ran bitscalper? I hope not..

I wish you good luck in catching him, it would be nice if more scammers faced consequences (most in our small Bitcoin world got away, I don't see anyone facing any criminal charges (maybe people involved in Bitcoinica and Pirate ponzi will))

It was after when we found out.
110  Economy / Scam Accusations / Bitscalper, BitDayTrade to be prosecuted, doxed on: September 19, 2012, 09:50:50 PM
See post here.

112  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any GLBSE app for android yet or coming? on: September 19, 2012, 11:05:44 AM
Yes, this is a great app I just switched to a ICS phablet(Galaxy Note) and this is really great.

My only concern is the API function key part do they go thru your content provider(proxy?) ?

Has this been tested with the Sub accounts that Asset issuers have?
Tested I don't think so but it should work, each account/sub account should get it's own API key.

For the proxy part of the question, are you talking about our CDN? If so then yes, it goes through the CDN.
113  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: GLBSE 2.0 open for testing on: September 19, 2012, 10:16:12 AM
stephen Almost got it right, except for black markets,  as Lethos said it's for dying assets.
114  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Notice of fee change on GLBSE on: September 19, 2012, 03:42:14 AM
Actually I was wrong, you were actually looking for 10,000BTC not 1,000.

Would it make a difference if I was willing to reduce the amount to 500 BTC? I do not want to waste all the effort I have put into this project and it seems that you are unfairly controlling the market. That seems anti-Bitcoin to me.

It sounds like PPoweredP wants a KickStarter-like system.  That way, investors are protected because a project will not fund unless it reaches the fundraising goals.

Not exactly protected. Sure if the funding goal isn't met then they get their funds back, but if it's a scam then it's a scam no matter.

PPoweredP has already started making threats to me in PM's, despite me telling him that I would refund the 8BTC. I don't see any reason to take him for anything other than a scammer, what teacher tells a student to go out and start an anonymous fund worth $100,000USD on a bitcoin market?

Besides, the only thing that I've required is that he get verified. His unwillingness to do so, along with his increasing hostility is a major red flag.

At this stage I think not since your intent is clear.

Hey Nefario, are you ever going to update the blog linked at the bottom of every page? Tongue
If not then please remove that link.

Sure I will, I just need to get around to it.
118  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Notice of fee change on GLBSE on: September 19, 2012, 03:05:10 AM
I paid the current fee and met all requirements to list my security of which there are others already doing the same thing. Nefario has threatened to not list my security unless I meet a new set of requirements. This seems quite unfair. Why bother implementing a fee change in a certain amount of days if you are going to change the rules effective immediately? I hope you change your mind Nefario. This is not the way to run a business and I cannot understand why you are choosing to single me out.

You have not been singled out, there have been very few new listings as of late for a reason.

I'm reluctant to approve another anonymous asset, especially one thats supposed to be a school project yet is raising over 1000BTC. Really the cost to GLBSE in having to clean up the mess of what will be a hit and run, as well as the damage to our reputation makes it not worth while.

The rules have not been changed, if you look at our terms of service we can require an issuer to verify, this is something you agreed to when creating an account on GLBSE.
119  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: GLBSE - request for next features on: September 19, 2012, 01:56:08 AM
With much thanks to LWCoder, I've added the GLBSE android client to the front page (you'll need to log out to see).

I've also ordered yubikeys, so will begin to add them as a 2fa method when they arrive.
120  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: GLBSE 2.0 open for testing on: September 19, 2012, 01:54:45 AM
What does blue and pink market mean and why is the big list in pink market and not in white one?
The color-coded names just add an extra level of indirection and confusion. Why not some single-word names that convey meaning? For example:

  • unverified
  • verified
  • audited
  • defaulting

Yes and no, although you're descriptions are handy, they're not comprehensive.
The differences are not just what is in the names.

Also some great news, thanks to LWCoder for creating an awesome GLBSE Android client, it's up on the GLBSE front page (you'll need to logout to get it).
