41  Economy / Securities / Re: TYGRR.* assets on GLBSE delisted. on: September 25, 2012, 04:15:26 AM
Where can I get such information?

I don't have it as you claim.

It was sent to the email used for your GLBSE account. Where else would it be?
42  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Got off the phone with the Guy from the S.E.C on: September 25, 2012, 03:57:48 AM
Please tell me the GLBSE makes multiple off site backups, somewhat frequently.

I know you are working toward going "legit", but worst case and they decide to gank the domain and hit the host, GLBSE will just pop up elsewhere right?

Many would be interested considering the counter party risk involved. You have the only ledger of members in an offering and the holdings of each.
Without you, issuers would have absolutely no way of honouring their commitments.

Yes we've got frequent offsite backups, you've need to read our threads on our disaster plans, from government action to me being hit by a bus.
43  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The pirate and the SEC - Alleged e-mails. on: September 25, 2012, 03:54:28 AM
and this actually surprises people here?

It seems the problem for some people is they think the law of the land does not actually apply to Bitcoin, but believe me uncle sam does not care if your trading in Bitcoins or camel dung, he's going to get his piece of the pie.

Was that intentional?

With due respect, they'll almost certainly pass any information they gather about GLSBE on to their UK counterparts.

I would expect them to, and this is not a problem for us.

Quote
If there's any chance that US citizens are laundering money or evading taxes through your service, you're a potential target of both US investigators and those in the UK.

There are two issues here

1) Taxes, which only really becomes an issue when amounts involved become significant.
2) Money laundering, which IS an issue, and is one we're working on, it becomes more of an issue as amounts grows.

45  Economy / Securities / TYGRR.* assets on GLBSE delisted. on: September 25, 2012, 03:24:24 AM
All TYGRR assets have been moved off GLBSE (delisted)

Goat has been given all the information he needs to be able to continue doing TYGRR's business and continue his relationship with his asset holders without GLBSE.

He has a list of codes which shows what code has how much of the asset.

If you had any TYGRR assets you will see the claim code in your portfolio.

Contact Goat with the claim code, and he will known how many of the asset you have, and you will be able to continue your relationship with him.

Yeah, drop credit union from the name, come up with something else, you don't want any unneeded headaches and if things went south, ass aches.
47  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Pirate Pass Through Bonds! on: September 25, 2012, 02:37:57 AM
We can no longer access any of the so called "black market" bonds including PPT.A
so now we can't even sell to the 0.32 wall....  it was 0.32 insured  - where is the insurance now?

Had a chat to Nefario - seems to be a sensible precaution for the time being.  If you needed to redeem the insurance option that should still be possible, but you would need to contact me directly.

Just as an update - I have done an insurance payment today for someone so the system still works.

To be clear, we can't list PPT assets anymore, they are still on our books, and in your accounts, but cannot be put on the market.

If we allowed this it would put us in compromised position.

Bitcoin would be small stuff for Philip after his previous case.

The guy might have a genuine interest in bitcoin...besides him investigating pirate as part of his job.

Well looking quickly, the SEC does investigate and prosecute ponzi schemes. I thought that would be the FBI's department (fraud).

I hope this doesn't bring down GLBSE...

It will be fine, for several reasons, to a large extent a lot of whats traded on GLBSE would fall under the new croudsourcing legislation that's come out.

That takes care of Americans who've used GLBSE to raise BTC for projects. I would say the only worry would be to people who've run scam assets.

GLBSE itself is based in the UK, and comes under FSA regulation which is something we're working on.

53  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario GLBSE on: September 24, 2012, 09:40:05 PM
I never said you would get more stock in the future, we did talk about you becoming a GLBSE investor but that came to nothing, you kept changing your mind and the accusing me of stuff.

See a doctor.

You said a deal would be made if I did not list on other exchanges. This was when you froze Kludges account and assets because you feared he would make a new stock exchange. But that is not the topic here.

You said you would force the sale of my property and that is theft. We all now this...

See a lawyer.

You said you'd think about it and never gave me an answer. Thats not a deal.

Thank you for admitting you made this offer. Now why did you think you could make that offer if you were bound by the GLBSE contract? Did you not understand the contract or did you just trick me?

An offer does not constitute a contract, and would require shareholder approval before it could go through. Nothing violated.

Keep trying rice boy, someday you may just get a clue.
This is the second time I've seen you slander this other person by calling him 'rice boy'.

Because he's trying to sell rice

I was just going to post that link... makes a lot more sense now.

I made the comment in that thread that this is not related. Theymos decided in our shareholder meeting on Friday night/Saturday morning to sell his stake. He doesn't want to be a part of the process of GLBSE becoming legitimate.
58  Economy / Securities / Re: Selling 17500 shares of GLBSE (actual shares) on: September 24, 2012, 07:20:57 PM
This action (of theymos to sell his stake in GLBSE) is the result of a shareholder meeting that happened on Friday night/Saturday morning.

GLBSE is registering as a company in the UK, theymos has decided he doesn't want to be a part of this process.

GLBSE is based in the UK and is subject to regulation by the  Financial Services Authority (FSA), we are in the process of becoming a registered company that meets all conditions to carry on business.

We have not been contacted by the SEC and are not subject to SEC regulation.

60  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario GLBSE on: September 24, 2012, 04:00:33 AM
Do you have a citation for the pricing?  I haven't seen anything to suggest that Goat purchased at the IPO price and then sold for a profit.  It sounds more like he purchased them for 10 BTC each, but I don't think he's actually said that explicitly.

Goat never stated or even implied he bought shares for 10 BTC ea.  He did however sell fake shares he knew were worthless for 10 BTC to unsuspecting fools.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=109660.msg1212459#msg1212459

Claiming that I sold an asset I knew to be fake is silly. Nefario said he would make right on the asset and many of us trusted him. Theymos even said he could trade his own stock.

Now what Nefario wants to do is a forced sale. He want to force me to give up an asset cuz he claims he can no longer do what he said.

This is clearly theft and there is no protection for property rights. They fact that most of you think his actions are okay here is worrying.

You can not just take stuff from people... That is a crime...

According to our bylaws Theymos has gotten the permission of other GLBSE shareholders to do that, and it depends on who he is selling to, which also requires other GLBSE shareholders permission.

There is an offer to sell your fake asset to us for 0.12BTC, it's a pretty good offer, I suggest anyone who has this fake asset to take it.

Quote

You only had property under two conditions:
1) GLBSE shareholders have agreed to honor this. They have not.
2) That you followed our bylaws in how the asset could be bought and sold. you did not.

GLBSE is not your property.

If you do not honor your agreement with me that is one thing, if you force sell my asset that is theft. I do not agree to your .12 BTC price.

We'll see what the lawyer says.
