1981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is easier to make bets on? on: February 24, 2023, 11:30:29 AM
Do sport like football betting and MMA betting carries the same risks or one is more profitable to bet on than the other? Which one is more likely to easily predict than the other? Also, I need a platform where football prediction is certain, is there any of you guys using any reliable platform?
As far as I know, no sports/football/MMA betting prediction platform can predict 100% accurate. If there were, I believe the agents/bookies/owners of online sports betting sites would go bankrupt.

Every bet that we want to place, of course, has a different level of risk. MMA is risky and football is also risky, in essence, all types of bets are real luck for the user himself.

If you talk about profit, no matter what type of bet you want to place, the profit is based on the odds you place, the bigger the bet you place, the bigger the multiplication, in essence: it depends on your bet amount. if you are lucky.

The easiest prediction for me football, history, team, field conditions, coaches, opponents and so on can have a good chance to determine your predictions, rather than MMA, boxing and others, sometimes in MMA it's what we take for granted that's the thing. the champion.
The only one that can predict 100% are those who do match fixing but I think they are hard to find online. If there are who present themselves to be one, they are likely to be a scam. In gambling, there is what we called odds. Odds can change and this is how we based our chances of winning other than the knowledge that we have.

It is said that low odds game are less risky but high-odds games are though if we are unlucky, it is still possible for us to lose even in a low-odds game and then it's also possible for us to win in a high-odds game as long as we are lucky. I think football games are harder to predict because they are composed of teams and what if some will perform poorly? But not in MMA, Boxing and similar sport where only played by a single person.
1982  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Gambling Quotes for 2023! on: February 24, 2023, 09:21:29 AM
I couldn't help but ponder so hard on this very writings and I was wondering and even to know why such talk was even spoken or even recorded and I still wonder upon which grounds was that sayings came into existence.
I have a friend who isn't a sporty type, he doesn't indulge in sporting activities not even the physical ones, he doesn't even gamble atleast not even once since I knew him and I had to send him a screenshot of this writing to let him know he was a fool and I was even pitying him. Lol just kidding but I'm very sure that there are people who has never gotten involved in gambling atleast not directly and does that mean those persons are now fools ?
Each of us have our own opinion. It can only be their opinion but it does not mean that it will also be true for others. Maybe the people who said that are already attached in gambling and can't imagine life anymore without it. If only we will look around us, there are still a lot of things which can give the same benefits the same as gambling.

There are video games to entertained us for example and then there are jobs to give a profit. They are much better in fact if we are to compare them with gambling. Gambling can come in many forms so it's almost hard to believe if someone didn't try it even if there is no money involved but no those people who do not try or like gambling that much are not a fool.
1983  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advantage and disadvantage of cryptocurrency on: February 23, 2023, 08:28:46 PM
I believe two of the points from disadvantages shouldn't basically be there. Cryptocurrency trading can be a time-consuming process but I don't count that as a disadvantage if that's what I do full-time. And if I'm just a part-time trader, I wouldn't really be bothered by my career goals by the trading activities that I do in my free time.

So I don't really think that these two are disadvantages of cryptocurrency, but these are personal choices of a person if what he wants to do and how he should pursue his career, whether as a full-time cryptocurrency trader or a part-time trader pursuing their career in something else.
1984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tournament gave 25 bitcoins as prize to last places on: February 22, 2023, 09:25:00 PM
Not really that shocking, I remember when faucets gave 1 bitcoin for free, and you could claim once per day, which means in 25 days you would have this much without ever working or being in a tournament. I remember you could mine bitcoin on your laptop and make more than 25 bitcoins in a few months at most, probably less.

When you go back in time, there was a guy who sold 2 large pizzas for 10k bitcoins as well, very famous thing. So at the end of the day, if we look back at the history of bitcoin, we can clearly see the growth, it's not really a news and it has been known for many years, in fact it's one of the reasons some people don't even invest anymore because they feel they are too late.
1985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 22, 2023, 06:15:46 PM
I reckon if tuchel was laughing so hard at todd. this owner was losing his brain by replacing diamond with silver. I don't even know how todd was thinking about the performance from potter right now. Even potter didn't even admit if that's his fault that was making chelsea was performing so bad like that. I think that chelsea has no time anymore to use potter as a coach. It's better to sack him before it's too late.

Pochettino already rejected an offer from chelsea. It's caused by chelsea already being destroyed by potter. Pochettino was taking the right decision. Chelsea needs to find an alternative solution for that.

Potter can't be used as a coach again. it has been destroying chelsea. Chelsea may go to the relegation zone if it keeps performing like that.
Everyone knew it was a big mistake, nobody said it was a smart decision to begin with, and it was always a bad decision to begin with. However, when we are talking about something like this, we should also realize that it's not going to be easy for Chelsea to let someone from the past to keep his power as well, Tuchel was hired by the previous owner, and the new owner wanted to settle all of that and start new.

It meant that Tuchel had to be gone, even if they were better with him, it would be thanks to previous ownership hiring him, and Todd would get nothing out of it, whereas with this new system we are talking about something that is a lot more on Todd, if it worked of course.
1986  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone here into passive investing (of their time)? on: February 21, 2023, 09:42:43 PM
I think the question is not about investing your money and then making money from your money. That is passive investing but not "your time" that you are passive investing. Things like music, blogs, books, paintings and other stuff like that (even NFT images which you charge a fee for each trade) is the ones we are talking about.

The example was that if you write a book, and it gets published and sold, you do not work anymore, you spent time and now you don't spend any time, you didn't spend a single dollar, just your time, and then you started making a passive income off your time. That's not common and pretty hard thing to do, definitely requires a good talent.
1987  Economy / Economics / Re: Cheap food: can you beat this price in your country? on: February 21, 2023, 09:18:03 PM
People who are looking to just eat the same thing and cut from their expenses do not know how to get rich. In order to get rich you can't just cut your costs, sure it would be a smart decision if you spend responsibly, I am not saying go out and buy the newest iphone each time a new one comes out, nor saying you should eat at 3 michelin star restaurants everyday, if you can find a meal for a dollar then that's great, 4-5 dollars? That's not too terrible neither.

However, the real way to get rich is to earn more, because that's unlimited, you can cut your costs down to a minimum and can't cut down more, but you can earn unlimited amount of money, focus on your revenue instead.
1988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: February 21, 2023, 09:05:23 PM
That is going to help Democrat party seal the future for them as well. We are going to see the whole nation who are against this new Republican party at the Democrat party, not like they were so awesome before, but right now the in fighting of that party made it even worse.
There is also the one where he fell from the bike as well. He is old, he is definitely very old, there is no doubt about that. However, at this point Republicans are a bit more in trouble than democrats about it, why? Because imagine a country that voted for a guy that was too old to do the job, instead of picking their candidate who was on a reelection campaign.

Trump had 4 years of presidency, and yet he couldn't get reelected against a guy who can't even finish a sentence. This is why it's quite important to realize that Republicans are responsible for finding a candidate that could actually get the votes to win, otherwise they are going to lose again.
1989  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price guess, 2023 on: February 21, 2023, 06:34:00 AM
By the looks of how we are doing alright now, I can say people who said below 20k will be wrong for sure. That's not a small percentage neither, 20% of people basically said it will stay under 20k, so they believed bear market would continue forever.

I just don't believe that it's true, I believe it will go up and said 50k+ because I believe that bitcoin is already doing a bit alright and that means we should be seeing some profits from it as well. If we can crack this 25k+ barrier, then the rest will be a bit easier for sure, it will take some time, but easier anyway. We just need to be patient, keep on buying, holding and not selling it, that way we can help it go above 25k and then whatever else.
1990  Economy / Economics / Re: does bitcoin help in your economy? on: February 20, 2023, 10:33:45 PM
It really does, not just in a personal manner, which it does help all of us too, but in a wider scale as well. It allows people who do not work or even work but not earn enough, to have a door to knock on. Doesn't mean you are going to make a profit in the crypto world, but there is that chance, not just by trading but by working and earning as well.

This allows people to have an option, we don't know if they will take that option or not, we have no idea if they will be any good in crypto or not, but we know that they will have that option and it is certainly an important thing to keep in mind as well. I do believe that it is going to be pretty important in the future.
1991  Other / Archival / Re: What is the easiest way to explain bitcoin to a regular person? on: February 20, 2023, 10:25:42 PM
Not explaining it? I mean I get that there is a responsibility feeling in the crypto world where people want to explain to people that you could make some money with it and all that, but the reality is that you do not have to explain it to people yourself personally. Bitcoin is such an online thing, and if they really want to learn, they could just google it.

Writing "what is bitcoin" on google would give you a million answers, from the simplest to the most detailed one, and people could read whatever they want in there. I know it's not going to be so simple for many people, but that's how it should be, just googling it, why bother us with it to begin with?
1992  Economy / Speculation / Re: does the increasing number of altcoins have a negative impact on the price btc on: February 20, 2023, 10:20:34 PM
I'm still a beginner in crypto, as we know from time to time the number of altcoins is increasing, but I want to ask,
will the increasing number of altcoins affect the price of bitcoin,?

but in my opinion it will not affect the price of bitcoin, even though the number of altcoins is increasing.
In my opinion it will definitely have negative impact on the growth of bitcoin in long run because you just need to assume that if all the money right now we are having in entire altcoin market would have been invested into bitcoin alone then where would be bitcoin trading right now? That's really unimaginable. But, unfortunately we have our own enemies who will eat the money intended for bitcoin investments.

At the same time I appreciate the existence of alternate cryptocurrencies, because we need them for at least for diversification purposes which means people will invest some money into them and will spread their risks across different assets.
The money that is intended for Bitcoin, goes to Bitcoin and not to any altcoin no matter how old or trustworthy they are. You said it yourself, that altcoins are a good way to diversify one's investment since no one wants to put all their eggs in one basket. So if there were no altcoins, people would choose something else to invest that money in like gold or real estate or silver. So basically, the money that isn't meant to be for Bitcoin is invested elsewhere and that elsewhere are altcoins.

Altcoins are a big reason why cryptocurrency industry is so widely known in the globe today. Bitcoin alone would take longer to spread the word to the people around every corner of the world if there were no altcoins and other sectors such as NFTs, blockchain-games etc. which are products of altcoins.
1993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 20, 2023, 10:00:14 PM
PSG definitely had one of the most weirdest games of their past 2 seasons. Not weirdest because of the result or anything, but weirdest because of the difference between the club itself. The defense looked like a French team trying to not get relegated, the offense looked like an elite team that could destroy anyone. I hope Neymars injury is not bad enough that he would miss the Bayern game, they really need him to come back.

However, if Mbappe plays like he did, he could beat Bayern all by himself, that first goal? Getting the ball too far left, then going between two players, with ball going through one of their legs, and then shooting while going down? That's some epic talent no doubt.
1994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reasons for holding bitcoins? on: February 20, 2023, 08:54:41 PM
Too many people here realized long time ago that fiat is not a good thing and it doesn't really give you anything serious and that should be a good enough reason to just focus on something else, which in our case is bitcoin. It's such a horrible feeling that fiat, which is used the most and accepted everywhere and basically runs the whole world, is such a terrible thing for regular people like us that we are trying to run away from it.

If you are Elon Musk then you have no trouble with fiat, even though he acts as if he likes crypto, he doesn't have to, but if you are like me, the system is crooked for those rich people and that is why I pick bitcoin over any other currency.
1995  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: February 20, 2023, 03:04:43 PM
If you have the desire and team ready just do what most projects do, start an ICO where people can invest in your idea for a future return. Do it in a way that anybody that owns your tokens gets a share in the revenue the casino will generate in future. Do this and watch how quickly you'll raise funds to kick start your own casino. There are many investors looking for genuine business ideas to invest in.

Casinos is a proven business that everybody knows generates lots of revenue so people will be interested in investing. When you get the needed money than you start funding the ideas you have. Next, focus on marketing and you can stand a chance against most of the big names in the business.
He has the desire but he doesn't have a team yet though he can always build one if he lacks some skills which are needed to create a crypto gambling site. Once ready, they still need to think outside the box and don't just follow what most projects are doing because how can they stand out that way? Why would the players of those site switch on this casino when they are almost the same?

But, the only problem is that this casino here is still new and it's still not trusted. Starting an ICO is a bad way to gather funds but there are similar alternatives. Usually, the ones who undergo this are casinos which has their own token but many of them are not really successful so I wouldn't recommend having one. People can still invest on the casino even without this feature.
1996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the future of bitcoin without powerful nations? on: February 19, 2023, 09:48:02 PM
I think the future of Bitcoin will be as bright as a star in the sky. Countries of people don't generally have power over bitcoin or to control it's price movements, what moves the price of bitcoin is the forces of buying or selling. Buying force drives the price to grow while heavy selling results in a significant drop. That is the only way an entity or a central authority can make an impact if they are putting heavy pressure either on buying or selling of the coin.

But despite that, I don't see any of that stopping Bitcoin from entering the future with a newer and better position from the previous one, and by position I mean a price that is higher than it's previous ATH.
1997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else getting deflated with the bitcoin naysayers? on: February 19, 2023, 05:58:02 PM
It sure is very hard sometimes to talk to some people about bitcoin. Some people are hell bent on their opinions and won’t budge from their own views no matter how hard you try to convince them. I wouldn’t exactly categorize all of them as ignorant people.
Some are not and some are just plain stupid. Others are afraid to think outside the box and wander out of what they’re comfortable with so they’re just okay doing and using what they’ve always done and used.

I still try to teach people that I sense are open to changing their views. It most times end up not so good but the few times I’ve gotten people to change their perspective about bitcoin is worth it and that edges me on.
This is why I am afraid to make my first move but I will only talk BTC to them once they mention something about it because I know that they are interested with it. I will only be honest so that they are aware if what to expect and I will not be blamed later on, in case there is something wrong with what they have done but they can always consult me again if ever they want to improve and compare their results with me.

For those people who are not convinced, well that is already their problem already. Just let these kind of people be jealous once they found out that Bitcoin just break another new ATH and it will be featured on the headlines again.
1998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 19, 2023, 02:38:10 PM
I'm still not surprised by this result, the only way for Chelsea to get back to winning ways is to sack Graham Potter, but if they still insist on keeping him I doubt they won't be able to compete again in the top flight next season.
Yeah, unlike some people had mentioned their manager may not be the problem, but he is certainly not the solution neither. This team spent 500+ million pounds on players, more than next few highest spenders combined, and they are still not winning.

Let's assume that it is players who play terribly and that is one way to approach it, but at the same time, there are clubs who do not even worth that much and still play better. Which shows that even if the players are a big part of it, manager should have been able to fix this issue long time ago, if he failed to do that and if the players are still playing badly, then the manager has to take on some responsibility towards himself as well.
1999  Economy / Gambling / Re: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want? on: February 19, 2023, 01:43:50 PM
How can cashback is costly while it will be working only when players lost their money? Rakeback costs more compared to cashback because it is not based on player's losses. Even the site with huge marketing funds like the one you promote in your signature does not offer cashback. It shows clearly that cashback is not unique, but it is not what is wanted by most players. Just use simple logic, if a player want cashback or hunting for cashback, means that they prefer to lose while gambling as if they win, they wont get cashback.
I think nothing is costly in here because we ain't buying an expensive item. Gambling must willingly be done by us and it doesn't always mean that we should play with huge money. It doesn't make sense to lose much only to get a bigger rakeback or cashback as their max amount won't still exceed on the amount that you deposit.

It will be better if you can just focus on hunting big multipliers in the game, as that is the ones that can truly give you a big win. I don't think there are many people who cares about that two because again their rates are only small but if there's a type of bonus that people cares the most then that would be the monthly.
2000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: February 19, 2023, 10:28:16 AM
One more thing to remember is that Red Bull was the best car last year AND they gained some momentum with the break. I mean everyone looks at this situation like Ferrari got better or Mercedes got better and all of that, but they are merely trying to reach Red Bull levels meanwhile Red Bull is still improving. So, those other teams needs to get better to reach RB first, but then also get better than them after that, which is a big difference.

I still think that Max is the one to beat and all the other teams are not there to win it this year, not yet anyway. Sure they may get better in the future, I am not saying RB will win it every year, but so far the difference is just too big for one summer to cover it and then some.
