1521  Economy / Economics / Re: Will inflation in the world grow by 2023? on: May 23, 2023, 11:35:05 AM
The cost of production of goods keeps increasing as we move into the future, and that causes an increment in the inflation of a country since companies producing these products will tend to sell them at a higher price, and then merchants sell them at even a higher price to the public. The government can control inflation but only if they manage to generate enough money within the country to spend on things that cause this.

Some governments manage to control inflation by reducing the cost of agricultural products which then reduces the production price of different products and the public gets better prices for those products.
1522  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN BULL MAY BE IN TROUBLE on: May 22, 2023, 08:48:19 PM
i believe that bull is in trouble because if not we can maybe feel it right now, most of coin are down and btc is struggling under 30k$ i dont know if it will go up above my expectations this month which is 35k$, there is always a risk so we need to always set a limit, if bitcoin will not reach 35k$ this month the bull run is maybe happen next year and not this year.
Why do you think that the price of Bitcoin for the whole year will be determined based on its price by the end of this month? There are 7 more months after this one for the year to end, so anything can happen in these 7 months. And expecting $35k only within this month is too much in my opinion, the price might not even go above $30k this month.

Even if it manages to go above $35k in the next month, we will surely see the price going around $45k by the end of the year since that will bring some positive sentiment in the market and most people will stop panicking.
1523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 22, 2023, 07:48:05 PM
I am not entirely sure about these racism talks in la liga. Since I am not Spanish, I wasn't really paying attention to what happened and I just learned it from the news but it feels like such an easy fix, and yet there are no fixes? Is that it? Like people can call out racist stuff like monkey to Vini jr., and then the league decides not to do anything about it?

I understand freedom of speech is a thing and that is why people could do anything they want and say anything they want unless they physically hurt someone, and they did not "physically" hurt vini, which means it was under the rule of freedom of speech. But are they not aware that what they are saying is horrible? Like are they saying "it is within my rights to call a black person monkey", is that their defense? It makes sense to them? Really?
1524  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: May 22, 2023, 06:54:33 PM
The concept of Know your client regulations and Web3 casinos are not compatible, because the concept of the Web3 itself (not only on casinos but also in any kind of service) is the fact users, clients and gamblers can identify themselves only by holding their personal keys.

I agree with you that governments wont like the idea of such services to become popular, but they already do not like the existence of Decentralized exchanges like Uniswap and there still is, accumulating volume and number of users.  Tongue

The decentralization makes it harder for centralized entities to attack providers. Bitcoin is a good example of it.
Well, Bitcoin is another thing, it is a coin and not a platform or a website, and it is not really that hard for them to find the owners of a platform since it has a website and they can easily get the details of the person who registered the domain, etc. If they want, they can easily reach the decentralized platforms and regulate them.

For now, they are not attacking decentralized platforms but they are in the verge of doing that, so it won't be wrong to say that in near future, the authorities will start either regulating or shutting down decentralized platforms as well, including casinos, exchanges, and everything else.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another side of Sports betting you may not know about on: May 22, 2023, 01:56:11 PM
Especially if many people are involved in such practices, they would cover it up tightly and not let anyone else know about it. The checks carried out may only be for formality so that the public knows that the officers involved have checked everything and made sure everything is safe. Maybe big fights are the main target, but they will involve a lot of people in it, and if it gets caught by the public, it could cause the public's trust to drop drastically, and they won't give their support anymore.
that's the risk, but we can see that at the moment there is no news whatsoever about insider betting news. It is indeed completely private and only a few people know about it, and many money transactions are carried out. this could be a side practice of some other player or staff, a behind the scenes practice completely protected from the outside world.
inspection is only a formality, but in reality all rottenness is properly covered up. Nowadays platforms for betting are easier to access, easier to do without a trace.
With cryptocurrency casinos available all around the world, it is not a matter anymore to place bets on sports events from anywhere, so if an insider wants to place bets, they can easily do it with a cryptocurrency casino without anyone noticing or having any doubt unless the person who makes the bets gets caught because of his mobile being examined which is not a very likely scenario.

So with the advent of online casinos, it has become very easy for insiders in sports to cheat and win a lot of money by placing bets on teams they know will win their sources are never wrong, and no one can really stop all this.
1526  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: May 22, 2023, 12:40:59 PM
Scamming through roulette is definitely possible. However, can I ask you to gamble a same size bet on all 36 numbers except 0 and see if the casino manages to bring up number 0 only in the very same game? If they do, can you please repeat it and see if they do it again in the next game too? I'm not favoring any casinos here and I know that such practices do take place in roulette, however not all of them would do it.  As well, it's not the casino specifically but the game provider that does this and if that's true, we should never play games from such game providers because they'll only try to loot your money by making you lose every single bet. Even in the game of cards (be it blackjack, poker, andar bahar, etc.) I have witnessed that most of the times, dealer wins. So it's possible that they have something behind the scenes that we don't know about.
The problem with that is, in online casinos there are a lot of people betting on various numbers and other things like odd and even etc. So, unless you find a time when the whole casino is empty, its probably not gonna work. Also, I'm sure they don't make it that obvious if the casino is actually rigged. I'm sure they are smart enough to no rig it everytime or it would be blatantly obvious and easily caught.
They obviously don't make it so obvious, even a kid would know that he is being cheated if this kind of practice is done with them where he leaves only one number blank and only that number comes up every single time. Even if a casino cheats, they do it in such a way that their gamblers won't even realize that they are actually being cheated.

When it comes to roulette, I think cheating on it can be pretty easy since there are a lot of outcomes and no one would even doubt if the outcome has been manipulated or controlled by the management in any way possible.
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 22, 2023, 11:28:03 AM
There was a sweet taste to City's win, as Real Madrid were responsible for knocking out Manchester City last year. This year you only have Inter Milan left. Normally no match for Manchester City, but what is normal? Way back in 2011 we saw Bayern Munchen at home in the final against Chelsea, and that too was 1-0 until the last minute and then Chelsea won on penalties. Inter is therefore certainly not without a chance. Haaland is a big threat, but Lukaku is also a very good striker for Inter.
Every thing is right about Manchester City and their success against Real Madrid but still this is not guaranteed for them to be title winner because soccer is surely game of surprises with many hot favorites are having the worst day with the results as well until now most pundits and analysis experts are predicting about Manchester City win but how things happen in Istanbul nothing is clear.

I personally feel Italians are the best architectures of soccer, and they can change things drastically without any problem most chances they will be having their strategy how to control Haaland and how to handle Manchester City from winning their first Champions League title in years with this all now all will be decided in ground and can Pepe win his maiden Champions League title for the current club it is a big question.
1528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin or cryptocurrency offer loan service? on: May 22, 2023, 08:56:44 AM
Banks are controlled by people and are a business that is run only to earn money, and giving out loans is one of their most profitable products to earn money, while on the other hand, Bitcoin is decentralized and isn't in anyone's possession, so it doesn't need money, so there is no need for Bitcoin to provide loans for people only to get some interest.

If you talk about exchanges or some other platforms and protocols like DeFi protocols, they do offer loans to their users and charge interest from them since they are not decentralized and the people behind them need money to run their projects and pay their workers.
1529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: May 21, 2023, 09:22:40 PM
Sevilla is the Queen of Europa League and whenever they reached the finals , they won it but this time they are facing As Roma.

AsRoma of Mourinho , a masterclass in defense and I'm afraid Sevilla won't beat Roma this time and this will only solidify the name of Mourinho as probably the best coach ever and also the first one to win Conference League and then Europa League and imagine if he leaves Roma and goes to Real and win UCL with them in 3 consecutive years getting 3 European trophies...it's just insane to think about it but the first two of them are already completed so we just need a move from him back to Real this summer.
There is no doubt about this all UEFA and Mourinho have good love affair which is going to have new chapters in soccer history with Conference Cup now Europa Cup and next year Champions League this could be another amazing stuff from him if happen but whom with because right now we have PSG which is looking for his services and can they achieve this it has never been easy but under Mourinho all are possible.

But if we have him at Real Madrid then surely this could be another chapter in soccer history because they are capable of doing things like no one can expect, so three years and three different UEFA trophies mean Mourinho the magician is going to rule soccer here in UEFA.
1530  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational Parade on: May 21, 2023, 12:42:49 PM
I don't think the parade will work to awaken people who are already gambling because I feel it is people's choice to gamble or stay away from gambling. Of course, some people will continue to gamble, covertly or openly, because they are used to gambling, and it's becoming increasingly difficult to stop. Perhaps, it can help if people keep reminding and inviting people who often gamble to do something so they won't think about gambling. Besides that, with today's technological developments, people can play gambling quietly and will not tell their friends that they are still gambling.
They need to self-understanding what is best for their life. Especially with a bad economy in the country where hard to get real jobs, sometimes, people try to find a way how to get money, and gambling is the best way because is more quickly to double and triple their money. But again, the education factor that makes them to be addicted, they don't know how to manage; when they must play, and when they must stop until their money runs out. And badly, after the money run out, they try to borrow online loans with high interest, so the loan become the biggest than what they borrowed which makes their treasure gone.
Gambling is basically not a way to double or triple your money, if someone thinks of it that way, they are absolutely wrong and they will only waste their money trying to achieve that. One shouldn't aim to gain 2x of their initial bankroll from gambling because those who do that get out of the casino with nothing left in their hands or pockets.

If someone has money and wants to make more money, they need to find another source for that. Gambling is for those who have extra money that they can spend on it and have no worries even if it's lost, it isn't for desperate people looking to make some cash from what they have.
1531  Economy / Economics / Re: Keeping money and keeping bitcoins? are they similar? on: May 21, 2023, 07:14:33 AM
Bitcoin was still a money but the only difference is that it has a limited supply which means it is more immune to inflations so keeping bitcoins is also important as keeping hard money. The reason why need physical money is that not all times bitcoin is accepted and then there are times that internet and electricity is unavailable for us to use a bitcoin.

People who are good at saving money might not perform the same on saving a bitcoin because bitcoin is too unstable and it might scare them when they saw that its value is dropping hard and seems not going to recover anymore. They will still need to learn bitcoin first in order to be good at it.
1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 20, 2023, 09:23:24 PM
I can see more players being interested in playing for the national team since the funding has literally tripled. I am sure that is going to bring some more players to play for the national team seriously. But I do wonder how much that is going to help because cricket seems to be transitioning towards T20 league and franchise cricket. The only time people are actually interested in international cricket is when big ICC tournaments are going on. It is going to be a really hard environment for the associate teams and the smaller teams to actually improve in cricket.
There is no doubt about this now cricket is taking transitioning which is surely going to have big impact on this format test with many legendary former players are also feeling not good because they are saying we need to increase fees of test players for competing with this T20i transitioning which is surely not easy because right now no one thinking about this and have no courage to work with bold decisions which help this format and cricket.

For this all we need all boards sit and have positive mindset which helps this franchise revolution and also encouragement for the test format as well this all needs huge funding to domestic setup and also teams with national color if they are not able to have any positive solution then surely we will have mess up which will create more problems.
1533  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 20, 2023, 05:56:24 PM
Have you ever heard about data breaches through online sites? If you are swiping up your cards for bonus on some scam casino or hackers have persuaded you to do so you are at complete risk of exposing your banking details and also funds are at risk so in my opinion it's never safe to do such things. At this time there are many scams going on internet and online crypto market so you need to be extra careful and don't fill out your card details for few bucks.
This one is a valid point, although you can directly press charges against a reputable casino if the breach occurred on their website. It's better to play on huge casinos and give your financial information there to play rather than play on new platforms that offer insane amount of bonuses with little to no reputation in the crypto space.

One more thing: do not autosave your credit/debit card info on websites. The few minutes of hassle that re-typing your card info gives is better than regretting losing your funds just because you want to make things 'easy' for yourself. This applies not only to casinos but also to other places as well.
Well, I also agree that one should obviously not connect their credit card with a casino or any website that is new and doesn't have a good reputation as that can be risky and one can lose all their funds in such cases. It is not really worth it to lose a lot of money only to get a small bonus that you won't even be able to withdraw since they will surely have some very high wagering requirements with it.

But, I didn't get your second point, the autosave feature saves your login credentials in your Google account and not on the website you are logging in, and even if you are talking about the "Remember my details" or something, that also saves the details in a cache file kept in your device and not on the internet.
1534  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 19, 2023, 09:49:53 PM
Is it safe or dumb to use your Credit card for online gambling because of free bonus rewards on signup and initial 3 months purchase? Will you take such risks with your card for such rewards? A friend informed me that some casinos gives better reward if you have a credit card with high credit score at around 800, he mentioned how he make 200$ from Freedom Flex after using over 600$. He also mentioned other like capital one

What are the disadvantages of using a credit card on online casinos? Any? Would you dare do such to earn more money?
If you know for yourself that you can manage that and its just for one time swipe only just to take the bonus then yeah its still a safe practice to use your card. But make sure that you only swipe it once and never decide to do that again. Since if you repeat it for many times since you became more comfortable using it due to convenience it bring then maybe you are in great risk to get broke because for sure in long run you cannot notice that your debt became more bigger and bigger.
Even for once I won't do it because this is where temptation starts. Remember when you first try gambling? You are scared and in doubt but you still insist and say just one time only but you did not expect that the supposed to be one time have go for two time then three and so on till it only becomes a regular hobby of you.

It was still a good thing if you are not in a point that you became an addict but it will still be damaging to our finances. I think there is also a risk on using bank accounts or credit cards. The casino might record your details and they can sell it or access your account but there might be exceptions for some highly trusted casinos.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some needed features of an online casino. on: May 19, 2023, 09:33:45 PM
All the features mentioned seems to be fair and it can help with the control and intimating users about the gambling activities. However along with the features there'll be options to enable and disable the feature. This once again makes the gambling activity to be much based on the user mind and not on the casino's choice.

Users were requested to prove their identity is good, but the competence in the gambling sites make it more feasible for gamblers. Every platform during the signup process gives a detailed briefing on terms and conditions. It is the users who understand it well and move forward, because the prime objectives found were about the risk and to gamble responsibly.
I guess having KYC and enabling ban exclusion are good enough. We cannot expect for online casinos to put a lot of restrictions because they are doing a business, and gambling addiction is not their responsibility but it’s certainly for gamblers themselves. So once you enter into their site and start gambling, it’s already expected that you have well understood their terms and conditions as everything that concerns about the gambling site and the gamblers  are already found and listed there.
I think even the posters or warnings that they post on their websites for players to be responsible gamblers are maybe because the regulations imposed on the casinos by the authorities and licensing firms, otherwise, they would probably not want anyone to be responsible with their money since they only earn money if the gamblers keep losing.

Casinos will literally run out of business if they start stopping gamblers after a certain point of losses and don't let them wager anymore only because they want to protect them from addiction or losing more money, they would never do that obviously.
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 19, 2023, 08:46:49 PM
Bonuses with wagering requirement is not a trap because all the terms for the bonuses is mentioned clearly. It is a trap for those who do not read the terms only. If gamblers read the terms before taking the bonuses, it cant be called as a trap or gamblers call it as a trap because they do not understand the terms. Anyway not all bonuses comes with wagering requirement, there are many other bonuses/rewards that can be achieved due to our gambling activity and it comes with zero wagering requirement but of course in order to get the these kind of bonus, you need to be an active gambler who wagers regularly.
I did not mention that bonuses with wagering requirements are trapped in any way but I was just trying to point out the limitation to some players using bonuses since it comes with high wager requirements,  there is no doubt that bonuses terms and conditions are always mentioned,  but then just as you rightly said it only becomes a trap for those who don't border to read bonus terms and conditions before jumping on them.

Unlike me personally,  I dislike any form of bonus since I know there are always accompanied by wager requirements that can be sometimes unbearable.
I think it's reasonable for casinos to have a wagering requirement for any bonus that they provide no matter what kind of a bonus it is. It would be strange only if the casino requires a high wagering requirement for the money that gamblers deposit on the platform which is insane because a platform shouldn't have a wagering requirement of at least 1x in general.

Most players don't bother reading the terms and conditions of either the bonuses or the platform in general, and that is the reason why they face problems later on when they can't withdraw funds or anything that they might try to do but can't.
1537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Oldest Casinos in the World on: May 19, 2023, 08:20:19 PM
Wow, that is a nice list, and I didn't know that there are still some land-based casinos out there that have been operational for about 400 years or so and are still running. I'm sure those old-fashioned rich people still go to these casinos and gamble with a cigar in their hand having a good time since the younger generations don't prefer land-based casinos these days.

Cryptocurrency and online gambling have become the favorite ways of gambling for most people of this generation since it provides a lot of conveniences like being able to gamble anytime, anywhere, and quick deposit and withdrawal times, etc.
1538  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: May 18, 2023, 09:29:36 PM
In my opinion, Web 3 casinos and other kind of services will see an increase of volume and adoption in the future, but I am also afraid and the regulation will be a huge obstacle for casinos which would bet on decentralization as one of their main features. Added to that, since Web 3 gambling implies people being able to handle and take care of the own private and public keys. I am not sure how much of a percentage of the population would be willing to move from the centralized methods of verification and log in to assimetric cryptographic keys. There are very irresponsible individuals who cannot be trusted with their own credentials.  Tongue
It is already happening now actually. Did you noticed that there are a couple of web3 casinos posted in this forum? Crypto casinos are decentralized before but regulations ruined it, luckily there is web3 to the rescue. It brings back the decentralization that we gamblers miss.

We often told that storing funds in a centralized server imposes a big risk. With this said, there are many gamblers who are going to switch on a decentralized gambling site including on this web3 casinos. There are risks as well in connecting to a decentralized website but that is if they are a scam. We can still do a research before we use them to avoid our wallets to get hacked.
1539  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbook offering VAR market on: May 18, 2023, 02:24:34 PM
And maybe that's why the bookmakers wanted to apply it to their sites so people don't think they're cheating gamblers.
But somehow, the reaction of the gamblers is if, for example, they have won the match but it turns out that the referee disallowed the goal that came in because it was proven that there was cheating in the match.
They will surely be disappointed to see that, as they were not aware of any foul play in that match and only saw it as a goal conceded.
It looks like the bookmakers need to collect data from gamblers and maybe they can vote on their members before they apply it to their site.
In what way a sportsbook can cheat the gambler? I think they have no association with the game. This is not like the typical casino sites where manipulation can happen. Bookmakers wants this VAR because they believe on its decision more than the referees but it would be better to have another market for non-VAR games because there are some people who dislike it.

There might be some difference in the outcome of the games between bar and non VAR. Cheating or match-fixing in a live match done by the players is another story. Only the real/human referee can noticed this and stopped them. Sportsbook will need to arrange bets accordingly when this happens.
1540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A long term investor here, thinking about adding RoLLBit Token on: May 18, 2023, 10:44:03 AM
Investing in a utility token of a casino is not less than a gamble in itself since gambling platforms are not guaranteed to be around forever or too long, if things go wrong with the platform, it can shut down or lose players and that causes a huge plunge in the price of their token, so it's way too risky to he a holder of a token provided by a casino.

If you buy tokens to get benefits on the platform if they provide any then that's good, but I don't think one should buy a token from a casino platform and hold it for a long term just like Bitcoin and other famous cryptocurrencies.
