1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: July 28, 2023, 02:35:50 PM
Of course, the probability of a big win is so minimal that even hoping for such a win is generally pointless.  The statistics of your expenses really clearly show that participation in the lottery is just money lost.  And of course, it would be better to invest them in some useful stocks or bonds, or in general just buy some things useful for you with them.  In this sense, all sellers of lottery tickets are such "pipe dream" sellers.  But many people believe and hope that they will be lucky and the dream will come true.  And they buy the lottery all the time and don't win anything for years.  But you can always dream that in the next draw I will be lucky and I will become a millionaire.
But in the end, all this bothers and people stop buying the lottery.
However, new dreamers come to replace and the cycles continue endlessly.
A lottery is a part of gambling, and gamblers never lose hope. As they say, "Never stop dreaming.", and so do the gamblers even if they have been on the losing side for many years, and they continue to do it even in the future, all for the hope of maybe getting their lives changed in just a blink of an eye. A person with limited money would always gamble only with a dream, a dream that will bring a positive and long-lasting change in their lives.

People who dream of getting life-changing amounts of money from gambling are usually the ones who have no other hope of getting richness in their lives, they find gambling to be their only way to having a better life, otherwise, they will just have to spend their whole life in misery.
1242  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Rise of Crypto Gambling: What You Need to Know on: July 28, 2023, 09:51:20 AM
Gambling with cryptocurrency has many advantages over gambling with fiat currency. It is of the highest interest among gamblers especially for quick payouts. However in both ways a gambler has to make KYC. I don't need to worry about KYC in the best gambling platforms. Because they provide good service for which their site has high reputation. KYC is an important factor in any gambling or casino platform, online or offline. There is no option of gambling by ignoring it.
There might be some options available right now for gamblers to gamble without completing KYC verification, but there won't be any in the future, so it's better if people start getting used to the habit of completing KYC verification at trusted platforms so that they don't have issues doing it in the future. Regulations have been catching every single platform lately, authorities are even eyeing decentralized platforms to be regulated in the future, so there won't be any left.

As you said, one shouldn't really have any issues doing KYC verification at a platform that is trusted and they know it wouldn't misuse their personal information and documents, and it's better to avoid new and untrustworthy platforms if they are asking for KYC verification, if they don't ask for it, one might try them out.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deposit limits on: July 28, 2023, 04:54:50 AM
This is nothing but a strategy by casinos to make thier users feel that they care for them. I mean why can't they increase it from 24 hours to 36 hours. They won't after all they are here to do business and make profits. This why daily gamblers should gamble resposibly. They should be disciplined and not fall for such kind of features which doesn't make any sense.
A casino would never take full responsibility for your activities nor will they stop you from gambling because that goes against their business, if they provide a tool like this, it doesn't mean that they don't want you to gamble but they are just trying to show that though gambling is their business, it can be harmful to you if you do it excessively, and whether they mean it or not, some of them actually do it so that they can make a good reputation for themselves.

It's definitely the responsibility of the gambler himself to take care of their money and their time about how much of it they have to spend gambling, if they feel it is getting out of control, they are the one who should find a way to limit it and not the casino, even if they provide a tool for it, it wouldn't completely stop you from gambling.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 27, 2023, 07:05:15 PM
It's going to be a brutal game for Barcelona, they are not as good as Real Madrid if you ask me and I have seen how good Real plays as well, I am sensing that we are going to end up seeing Real have an easy win, something with a big difference and when that happens everyone will start to question Barcelona and how this season goes.

I have to say that doesn't matter, yes Real Madrid is a "better" team right now if you ask me, but when you consider last season how Real was still better on paper but Barcelona took the league more seriously, you will realize that it is not going to be a problem. Real needs to be a lot better and they need to end up with a lot more results in the end and just focus on what they can do.
1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pros and Cons of Crypto vs. Traditional Gambling on: July 27, 2023, 04:44:15 AM
Crypto is also betting in "USD". Most crypto-casino are using instantly convert the balance into (USD) after we deposit with the rate at the time you deposit, it's to avoid volatility crypto (that's why). Also now, most of casino already can support other fiat currency converted example like (Stake) they support many local currency you can using for the main balance betting.
Both casinos have to adopt or else they will be left behind, crypto casinos can't still operate without a fiat back up since many gamblers still prefer a more secured way to protect their money against volatility. Same thing with the fiat casinos since the trend is with crypto right now, if they will not adopt for sure gamblers will leave them and that can hurt their business. Both market have their own pros and cons, just choose what's best for you.
What do you mean by many gamblers wanting a more secure way to protect their money against volatility and that a crypto casino can't operate without a fiat backup? Why would a crypto casino need any fiat backup in the first place? They provide a lot of deposit options for their gamblers to choose from, and it's up to the gambler which coins they would like to use for their gambling activities, so I don't see how a casino will be responsible for any volatility happening in the market regarding that coin.

If you choose to use Bitcoin for gambling, and deposit and gamble with Bitcoin, and if the price of Bitcoin falls during your gambling, the casino is in no way responsible for whatever value your coin has dropped, they will give you the same amount of Bitcoin that you have in your account and that's it, it's totally on you since you are the one who chose to use Bitcoin instead of a stablecoin for gambling.
1246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't expect everyone to embrace Bitcoin on: July 26, 2023, 07:00:45 PM
It's true that when you expect something to happen and it doesn't, it hurts. That is also true with Bitcoin; if you expect someone to have a favorable attitude toward Bitcoin but instead receive negativity, you will be disappointed. It may have an impact on your positive outlook and deplete your energy, especially if you are emotionally affected by such statements. I understand that we want to assist others better their life in the future by teaching them about Bitcoin, but we must keep in mind that not everyone will agree and respond positively to you. You can easily go on and never be disappointed this way.
Don't get disappointed in someone who doesn't understand the potential of Bitcoin, but you should feel sorry for them, that's how I take it. When I tell someone about Bitcoin and suggest they get involved, maybe not monetarily but should at least learn about it, and if they start talking negatively about it, I don't argue with them and simply think in my mind that they will surely regret this in future and that is when they will realize that my suggestion was gold.

I never get disheartened or disappointed when someone doesn't agree with me or thinks that Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies are useless and a waste of time, I don't say anything to them once I know that they are literally ignorant and they listen to what they hear from here and there, I let them be and just don't mention it again.
1247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: July 26, 2023, 02:21:52 PM
I was in high school and most of my friends were betting on sports. At first I thought it was a stupid idea to gamble but then the greed took over. I wondered if I could get rich from gambling and I also started to bet on sports. I was doing my "research" on teams with my friends every day instead of studying math and shit. I won some then I lost some. Then I lost again. I was losing more than 50% of my bets and I saw that I wasn't making money when all things considered. Then I took a long break from gambling till the college. Then I started doing it again. I still don't overdo it but gambling casually which brings no harm.
It seems like stories like this about someone getting encouraged by a friend to play gambling is very common. Now I know why many parents don't like their children to hang out to their friends too much, especially if the parents saw that some of our friends are into bad habits as we could get influenced by them. Your thoughts about gambling are right.

You could have followed it and no issues are going to be experienced later on. To think of being rich in gambling is the main thing that the casino wants us to think about because it's a sure way for them to make more money. It's crazy to think that we can do our bad habits more often than the good ones. I guess that's because they are not boring although doing the good ones are also rewarding once you successfully accomplish them.
It's true that we do get encouraged by our friends for doing a lot of things, some of them are good and some are bad. Some of us manage to dodge the bad ones while others can't and they get themselves and their family in trouble just because of a habit they got from their friends and the gatherings they get into. I used to have friends with bad habits too, they even used to ask me to do bad things like drinking alcohol and smoking, but I used to know my limits.

It all boils down to our personal opinions towards things when we are clear about the things that we want to do and things that we never want to do in our lives, we don't get to do bad things even if all our friends are involved in things that are harmful to them, that's why it's important to have a clear mind all the time.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: July 26, 2023, 01:18:10 PM
Trading could really be turn out to be gambling even if we do speak about Spot trading but on the time that you arent really that knowing on what you are doing then for sure it would be considered gambling. How much more if you do touch up on futures trading? You would really be having the impression that this would really be like gambling and this is why its better to have a serious approach
when it comes to trading. Dont dive in into this field if you dont know on what you are doing but somewhat if you do have the knowledge and skills on making good trades then it is really something that
separating that kind of risks compared to those who do make out blind trades which is something that you do really need to avoid because you would really be
making yourself doing gambling once again.
In that sense, anyone doing anything with their money without knowing much about it is a gamble because they will most likely lose their money without gaining any benefit from it, whether it's business, opening a shop, buying and selling goods, or anything in the world. A person who doesn't acquire the necessary knowledge about something before involving in it will surely lose their money and that is surely gambling with their money but it's their mistake.

Just because someone can lose their money in futures trading because they don't have enough knowledge and experience about it doesn't make futures trading just like gambling, because futures trading provides you with the opportunity to make use of the market movements to earn money but you need to learn it first, while in gambling, there is no learning, it's all based on your luck.
1249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: July 26, 2023, 07:45:46 AM
I don't agree with OP that we all gamble to make money. I sure do that, but there are people much wealthier than me who gamble strictly for fun. You can't possibly think that when millionaires gamble they're focused on the money. It's just a way to have fun for them and throwing away some money is nothing to them. They throw money away on expensive food and clothes, so they can as well do that at the casino.

I usually set limits for myself by sending only small amounts of money to my casino accounts. As far as the win goes, I'm fine with taking 2x any day.
People with different statuses have different mindsets and different approaches for each and everything, including gambling. Someone who is rich and has a lot of wealth and doesn't need any money would definitely not see gambling as a way to earn money because they already have enough and they have multiple businesses earning them millions of dollars, so they don't really need a few hundred bucks won from a casino, they play the games only for fun.

On the other hand, someone who earns a minimum wage, spends most of it on his family and the basic needs of his household, would have a totally different approach for gambling, they see it as an opportunity that might brighten his life some day if they manage to hit a jackpot or something.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How real? That football players required to bribe before they are allowed to play on: July 26, 2023, 04:41:10 AM
Corruption isn't bound to countries and organizations, there is corruption in each and every country and each and every organization in the world, it is just that some are hidden and some are known by the public, those that come in front of the public are shamed and those who are hidden are never known. These kinds of incidents where people are asked for money for the roles that they are assigned or deserve to get happens almost every day.

Such people are barely known by the public because those who are asked for bribes never reveal these things to the public because they know the ones asking for money are in power and if they come to know about what they did, they might never allow them to get into the position ever.
You are right, mate, it's not just tied to one country, and for those countries where such news is not heard, there's no assurance that such corruption is not going on there. The truth is that some of those things are done secretly, so no one will disclose them, and even if you disclose the information to some people, they will not believe you because they can think that you are only trying to paint the organisation black. Also, when one is in this kind of situation, one has no other option but to pay and move on to the next stage. There's one celebrity whose autobiography I read, and she said she was only acting in some movies that did not put her name in the public eye, but that during the shooting of one interesting movie, she had to pay for the role she chose to play in that movie, and from there, she started receiving requests to be featured in some movies.
The biggest reason why the people who are asked for money don't disclose this information is that they are threatened not to do that, and a person who is poor and has no strong backup would obviously not risk his life only to reveal someone else's reality because the ones who ask for a bribe are the ones in authority and has all kinds of power and can do anything, if they refuse to offer the position only because they aren't given what they asked for, the best thing is to leave silently without creating a scene.

We have seen this happening on a lot of occasions where people tried to reveal the realities of people in power, especially in politics, and they became victims of target killing right after that, which is evident that they were assassinated by the same group of people who were behind the scams.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: July 25, 2023, 07:00:50 PM
If I am not wrong, most of the casinos asks you to wager 100% of the amount before withdrawing. And there is also a limit of amount you can withdraw without doing KYC. So make sure you understand these things properly before trying anything. These things are mentioned in the FAQ section of the casino or you can contact their live support, 9/10 times you will get a response back within an hour of your initial message.
Sometimes, it's even higher than 100%, only a few casinos might have only a 1x wagering requirement because it is not that difficult to complete a 100% wagering requirement these days, one can easily do that by losing only a small amount if there are games available where you can bet on two sides in a round, I'm not sure if there are such games available in cryptocurrency gambling platforms or not but there are some in mobile gambling applications.

So they usually ask the players to at least complete 2x or 3x wagering requirement before they can withdraw their balance if they haven't taken any bonus with the deposit, if they have also taken a bonus, the requirement can go to up to 15x or 20x wagering requirement because bonuses generally have higher requirements.
1252  Economy / Gambling / Re: bankroll 1000 € on: July 25, 2023, 06:24:30 PM
i have a strategy if you want to know contact me

and yes you have loyalty bonus chest i get them on monday (today)   20 $  got to 50 $ and unlocked it

and thursday/friday i also have 20 $ chests   (can proof this)
i know what i'm talking about
Let's get this straight without any excuses or anything, no one with the right mindset would give you money just like that, even if you tell them that you have a strategy that is effective and whatever, they won't give you money for that, so whatever you are trying to achieve here is all going to go in vein and it will just waste your time and ours as well. The best thing for you is to ask someone in real life that you know and who trusts you to give you a loan if you really need money, but you shouldn't take a loan and gamble with it.

I don't really understand what kind of a person would think that they can actually get money by making a post in a public forum trying to show that they can earn money through gambling if someone gives them money, who in the world would give away their hard-earned money to someone random in a public forum?
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 25, 2023, 05:46:19 PM
The mindset of a person will indeed be different, the rich and the poor certainly have a different mindset too. Those who work hard to build their business from scratch will certainly not be interested enough in gambling because they realize that it will only be a waste of their money if it is not done with full control. Gambling is nothing more than entertainment and if it is used as a game or a place to make money then they are wrong, it will not always make money but there will be a lot of expenses that will be made if you are addicted. Some people who are poor and also have a short mindset, will only do gambling without seeing how he makes money. they will only be miserable because there is no planning whatsoever.
Certainly, a person who has a lot of money won't think the same way as a person who has none of it, that is the reason why rich people see gambling as a way of entertainment and not as a way to earn money, they know they have a lot of money to spend on it and when they do it, they have a good time. On the other hand, a poor person who has no money won't gamble just for fun because they think of it as a way to possibly make a fortune some day.

Though it doesn't happen with everyone, poor people still keep hoping for something magical to happen with one of their bets so that they can become rich overnight, it is just our mind that keeps telling us that it is possible, even if the possibility of that happening is less than 0.1%, it is still a lot for our minds.
1254  Economy / Economics / Re: The whales stirred. What should we expect? on: July 25, 2023, 08:33:23 AM
Why is it necessary for us to give it such an extreme outcome? Can't we just think that it might be someone from the beginning who bought a bunch of Bitcoins and held them until now and is now trying to sell some of it? I don't see how that will end the era of Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies. It is not like they are selling millions of Bitcoins at once, and on top of that, it is just some more Bitcoins coming into circulation after being locked for years.

We all do move from crypto to fiat and vice versa, so why can't a whale do the same? I know that the amount of money that they use is usually significantly high, but it shouldn't be an issue for the overall market, let them do some manipulation and we will ride the tide along with them, as long as we are not panic sellers, we should be good.
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) 2021 on: July 24, 2023, 06:14:30 PM
We are so lucky to be able to watch Messi and Ronaldo play against each other, and they were at the same league for a long time as well so we get to see them fight for the title for so long, between UCL, league, cup and all that we get to see them play against each other all that much.

One generational talent versus another one, over 12+ ballon d'ors between them, and they played so well that they ended up getting all cups together as well. I believe there were seasons where some other players may have been better, but the fact that they were so great up until Ronaldo went to Juventus and started the chain reaction of things that will follow after that. It's really a nice move to see them at the end of their career right now as well.
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 24, 2023, 05:01:10 PM
I agree that new players adjusting may take some time, it is normal and only natural because that's how you become a good team. This is why there are friendlies, so that teams could get to know each other over the summer period and can do better. We have seen the teams not play that many friendlies to end up being terrible at the start, and by the end they were tired as well.

This way they are both learning about the tactics, and they are also learning what their friends are keen on doing and inclined to do, so they are going to get a lot better thanks to these friendlies. They still got a win, and that's all that matters in the end, because that's how you end up being a better team during the summer period as well.
1257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: July 24, 2023, 03:52:59 PM
would you prefer to gamble in a casino and make some money or learn about futures trading and make some money?

Which one do you actually find to be more easier and I believe that futures trading is also capable of giving someone life-changing money but which one do you believe is less risky than the other?
Is it really necessary to learn about futures trading before starting to make money there? No.

Two months ago I found two good trading masters on Bybit and started copytrading. One month, I copied one trader. Another month - another trader. The first month brought me more than +100% to my deposit. The second one brought me +28% more.

So, my answer is as following: futures trading may be even easier than casino.
There is a very big difference between futures trading and gambling because gambling is based purely on luck and there is no influence of anything else at all, while futures trading is based on your knowledge and experience about the market and your ability to do analysis based on the data and charts available, you can know the outcome of a trade if you know what you are doing but you can never know the outcome of a bet because it is not based on anything but a result generated by an RNG.

In futures trading, you might not get profit all the time, but if you are experienced and understand how the market generally moves because you've been watching charts and analyzing the coins that you will be trading in, you can always have a general idea of how the market will move next.
1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Irresponsible behavior at the Las Vegas Casino on: July 24, 2023, 02:58:15 PM
According to the news, something was added by someone unknown in his drink and that was the reason why he behaved like this, if that is true which only can be known if they do the medical reports of the guy, he is not to be blamed for what he actually did. However, even if he wasn't drugged, I've seen people behaving this way when they are heavily drunk, so it wouldn't be a surprise if it's a lie that he was drugged but he was actually just drunk.

However, I don't think that this has anything to do with gamblers in general, a sober gambler wouldn't do something like that even if they are winning or losing or whatever is happening if they are not drunk or not crazy, they can never think of getting naked and climbing up and dancing on the table.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: July 24, 2023, 08:49:41 AM
It's hard to do and control yourself with so many VIP accounts for gambling.

It's not my experience but in the past, I and my friend knew one man who is a middle man between sports bookmakers and retail gamblers. He bet too but his advice is he never bets more than three matches each day. Win or lose, he quit and enjoy rest of his life in that day. Next day, he can enjoy other bets and of course no more than three matches.

He told us that it's hard to control yourself if you are in a win streak or a lose streak, so to avoid it he sets a max number of bet each day. He is very disciplined with his rules and does not break them.
It lies on the discipline of the gambler. Having 3 different VIP accounts doesn't mean anything if you don't have money anyway. And if you don't have that much money to begin with, I don't think you'll ever reach the point of having a hard time choosing which casino works best for you. You'll be locked in on just playing and nothing else.

Most gamblers would surely take it slow and not spend that much if they can avoid it.
And spending that much money and having high level accounts at three different platforms doesn't really make any sense to me, it is much better if you simply choose the best platform that you know has the best VIP program and just use that for your gambling activities as long as you are not facing any issues with them regarding deposits, withdrawals, or anything within the platform, so that you can have better VIP privileges in that platform.

An average gambler don't have enough money to be able to deposit and wager in three different platforms only to get to VIP status so that they can get a few dollars or spins every week and gamble with that to try their luck and withdraw a few bucks if they could successfully win something with it.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers Belief on: July 23, 2023, 05:39:29 PM
That belief is the reason why most gamblers keep gambling, otherwise, once you've lost a significant amount by constantly losing the bets, you would never gamble again, but only because they believe that they will win any time soon which makes them keep gambling, but to be honest, the reality usually stays on the other side, no matter how much belief someone has, they will still keep losing in the long run but the belief doesn't let them realize it before it's too late.

People who gamble with this much belief and determination can achieve great things in life if they face the challenges and have the same level of belief that they will get success if they keep struggling and working hard, but unfortunately, their belief doesn't work on other things and they give up easily.
