1221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: August 01, 2023, 06:19:29 PM
There are many gamblers that can gamble just to have some fun and make money in the process and there are some that focus on gambling only to make money so I would like to ask such people a question.

would you prefer to gamble in a casino and make some money or learn about futures trading and make some money?

Which one do you actually find to be more easier and I believe that futures trading is also capable of giving someone life-changing money but which one do you believe is less risky than the other?

Futures trading is gambling in my opinion. You’re just making bets on companies and their ability to over or underperform expectations. Since it isn’t a black and white type of gambling it could give people the illusion that futures are some type of investment, but they are a really poor way to invest and a great way to gamble.
No, it isn't. Just because the outcome in futures trading is also unknown it doesn't make it pure gambling. To get to know the difference between futures trading and gambling, take one regular gambler and one regular futures trader, and ask them about the results they tend to get in a week's time, the answers will surely let you know the difference and how gambling is not exactly the same as futures trading because you don't blindly open trades in futures trading but it's all done after a process.

So people who trade in futures that have knowledge and experience about it tend to win more trades than they lose and they make trades with proper risk-management such as stop-loss where you don't lose everything even if you lose a trade, while in gambling, a bet that you lose takes away the whole amount you have wagered.
1222  Economy / Gambling / Re: BK8 - Biggest and Most Trusted Brand. Asia's #1 Crypto online casino BTC & USDT on: August 01, 2023, 03:11:54 PM
Do you know important points to claim this promo? This is a cashback of your total loss in a week and will be credited every Monday
If you meet the requirements and have claimed but not credited, the support team can help you I have experienced it but with a different case.
Yes, I know about that, I want to claim it too because I have lost quite a lot in slots the past 3 days. Ok I'll follow your advice to contact CS, hopefully it works out to my expectations. Previously I also had problems with deposits, but it didn't take long to solve, I think it only took 3 minutes to solve my problem.
Ouch, that was sad but maybe you should be alarmed now and set your limits if you haven't yet. Don't let the same mistakes happen again because it could get worse and you might get addicted in gambling. Slots are highly addictive.

This is the reason why I just stick on one game even though I'm aware that there are thousands of them and there might be better slot games than the ones that I'm currently playing right. You already have a good experience with the support of BK8 so I expect they will never fail you again this time. It was nice to know that they have an attentive and helpful support, not like to others out there especially to the ones that I know. They deserved to be abandoned.
1223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: August 01, 2023, 02:48:29 PM
The thing is that when the price at stake is very high, people would want to have a trial to see if they stand a chance of winning not minding the probability of winning it, they believe on the possibility of winning by luck, and situations like this would always occur especially when someone else have proved that it's possible to win from the particular event, let's say for instance I have a friend that's won or heard about someone that won a lottery a huge sum of money with just a small amount, that alone would make me one to try as well and see if there's a possibility of winning just like my friend, everyone have dreams of being rich and think of different possible ways of making their dreams a reality and there are people who are lucky enough to achieve their dreams through lottery.
Most individuals would try their luck to see if they stand a chance of winning the huge prizes from lottery hence it's popularity, the price at stake would always attract people to have a fair trial of winning, even though the possibility is very high but there are chance that one could be lucky to win it and since there's a possibility of using a small money to win a jackpot people would always want to give it a trial thereby making lottery becoming more popular.
I think you mean "prize" not price. Price is what we pay for the ticket. It act as a bet but if it's very high, people will be intimidated on trying it. Offline lotteries have no trial, not like to the online ones where there are free bets. In spite of it people still tries them because the tickets are not that costly enough. They just start there slowly until the addiction builds up and they are now a regular lottery bettor even though majority of them haven't experience to win yet even with just a small amount.

Lottery is a game that is based on luck but there are people who brainstorm or think of things that could possibly increase their chances of winning.

There are still other ways that we can do in order to change our life, not just through the lottery and they are more achievable but sometimes people are only lazy to start doing them. Lottery is popular due to its huge prize. It's possible because of its crazily high odds and the prize will just stack if no winner is recorded.
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is right time for investment ? on: August 01, 2023, 11:34:15 AM
Don't think this is the right time to invest in the crytocurrency market now still not that good at the moment, think bull market will only return if we can be able to break the 30-31k resistance level to make a weekly higher high on the chart. If that doesn't happen I'm not sure of buying more altcoins to add to my portfolio.
Do you buy when the market is going up? You can get stuck if the market traps you by going up a little and then dipping again, the price of Bitcoin went above $31k earlier, it touched $31.5k but couldn't go higher and came back down as we can clearly see, so I don't think that a price hike only above $30k should be a trigger for investors to start buying, isn't the current price a better buying position since we are still down? But we can always see the market going down a bit more from here.

Also, we are still a long way to the bull run, buying and holding altcoins from this point until the bull run might not be a good idea as we know that altcoins can always face problems in the long run, what if a coin that you buy now crashes badly before the bull run? That will be a total wastage of the money.
1225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you use Bitcoin to pay everything online? on: August 01, 2023, 06:25:23 AM
Let's just be honest and real with each other, the example that you used in your post about bananas, Bitcoin is basically not for that, because the transaction value isn't high enough for the buyer to pay any fees for it, even if the fee isn't so high, it will still be costly if the value of the item being bought isn't high either. So, when you are buying stuff that costs maybe less than $20 or something, you shouldn't use Bitcoin for that even if the transaction is quick.

We might be able to do that in the future which I doubt because you can't pay $0.2 for an item worth $0.5, that's absurd, you better pay with cash or use something that costs you nothing for that transaction, and we know that almost every cryptocurrency has a transaction fee associated with it.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 31, 2023, 05:59:30 PM
I am not sure about who will be tanking, but I can easily say that any team that went ahead for a chance to win it all, could always be contending. I am guessing that Lakers will not be terrible, but Nuggets and Heat and Celtics looks to be great and they will probably still be around, obviously we will get Suns who will have a decent team as well, and that's going to end up with something that has a good entertainment for us.

Nuggets vs Suns at the west finals, Heat vs Celtics on the east finals, and whoever wins gets to meet at the finals and the winner gets the ring. I believe that's going to be how it is like but of course we can't know for sure right now. Miami getting Dame would make their place more permeant there.
1227  Economy / Gambling / Re: CasinoX.World - online review guide on: July 31, 2023, 04:21:45 PM
Welcome to the forum!

I didn't check the platform yet, but I hope it's good and the gambling community actually needs a review platform that will make honest and unbiased reviews about gambling platforms so that gamblers can check and evaluate and compare different casinos before they decide to choose a platform for them to play in, there might be a lot of websites for this but most of them are simply biased since they charge money to write reviews about the platforms.

If you use the platforms yourself, evaluate every single thing including the terms and conditions, customer service, verification processes, games, and every other thing, and then write your honest views about each one of them, that will be one of the best things for the community to have.
1228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 will determined bitcoin fate on: July 31, 2023, 03:33:10 PM
We are going to see something big happen for sure, if the cycle thing happens again and we end up seeing price start going up again after the halving, that means that it is real and it happens every time before the halving and the next one could be even bigger, because more people will be aware of this cycle and it would be almost like guaranteed.

We have seen it at 2017, seen it at 2021, and if we see it at 2024 as well then we are going to be certain about it. I think it will spill over to 2025 as well, not going to start and finish in 2024, but that is of course only if it happens. This is why we should be pretty careful about it, I am not seeing anything major changing at the time and we need to be a lot more patient about it.
1229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: July 31, 2023, 12:15:00 PM
@OP
If you don't watch MMA and Boxing and don't have any passion for it, I would advise you to stay away from betting big money on such events. You should bet on the sports you know the most about and which you watch to improve your chances of winning. That's a gamble enough, and you are making it worse trying to profit from something you don't understand.

One of the best sports bettors I know bets on one sport and only a few leagues from that sport. He doesn't bet every day, and sometimes weeks pass between two of his bets. However, he is successful and knows what he is doing.
I don't really find any problems in it if someone has some interest in a sport and wants to learn about it and stay updated about it, the teams, the players, and everything else. You are right that one shouldn't bet on a sport that they don't know anything about because that will simply be wasting money, but if someone wants to learn about the sport, get knowledgeable, and stay updated about it, there isn't anything wrong in that and they should surely do it.

It is just that they shouldn't get involved in the betting process regarding that specific sport until they are knowledgeable enough about it, they should first do all the research and analyze all the teams and players and then if they think they understand everything well, they should go ahead and start betting.
1230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 31, 2023, 11:23:00 AM
I presume that the rich loss more in gambling than the poor. ~
Most likely they do. But if a millionaire loses $10k to gambling it is not as painful to him as for a poor man to lose $100. And this is very important to understand. Rich or poor, you should only stake what you can afford to lose. I hope some poor people who want to get rich through gambling read my post and drop the idea. Buy a $2 lottery ticket if you want to have that hope in your heart, but don't put dozens of USD at risk.
I don't think it's like that, Rich people also lose a lot of money, I assume they use $10k as their base bet most of the time, and I also think that there are rich gambling addicts too who don't stop gambling at all and lose a lot of their wealth in it. We've always heard of stories where rich people gambled away everything they had, including their home and every other property, and now they have nowhere to go, so it happens with the rich too but it depends on their situation and condition.

However, that doesn't mean that a poor person should gamble to earn money, gambling is not a way to earn money at all. Most rich people gamble only to have fun, they might get addicted to it but that is not because they are chasing money through it but because they just gamble a lot.
1231  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some poker terminologies you may want know on: July 31, 2023, 09:35:23 AM
I'm not really into Poker but I know a little about and I want to add that it's a wrong statement for one to say Poker  more of a game of skills than luck, in all gambling activities, whether Poker, Football betting and so fort you'll need both skills and luck, they both work together for one to be able to win, to me I'll say the skills you have in poker brings you luck and more chances of winning, but sometimes you can be very skillful but very unlucky because you keep getting bad cards that makes your chances of winning little that's why I said both skills and luck work hand in hand in poker.

Luck plays a better role in all gambling games, and in poker you can be the best and most skillfull but if you fail to get a good hand then you might be really unlucky to lose because if your opponet has a better hand and is skilled as well then they stand more chances at winning regardless of your skills, that's why both luck and skills are very necessary to be a successful gambler
That is a fact but unfortunately, a lot of people don't accept it, I've heard a lot of people say that Poker is only a game of skills and someone who doesn't have them cannot win at all, I know that there are tricks and ways a master can use to make a novice lose against them but that only works if the novice doesn't know the game at all and don't have good cards in hand, otherwise, if they know that they have the best hand, they would never lose or give up.

It is true that any sort of gambling requires you to have luck on your side to be able to win, even in sports betting, which is generally a part of gambling where your knowledge and experience, and research abilities play a great role, but if you are unlucky, even the favorite team will lose a certain match and make you lose the bet.
1232  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: July 31, 2023, 05:02:15 AM
It doesn't matter what race, gender, or nationality you have in gambling because it isn't really that necessary. It's not like a sports event wherein a particular gender plays a bias over who's going to win. What people need to take note is that you have to be smart, strategic, and lucky in gambling. Otherwise, you are just wasting money over betting on something that you take a small chance of winning. One must be prepared enough especially if it involves sports betting that needs knowledge and not just pure luck or odds siding on you. There's certainly a probability of losing, but you can lessen the rate if you will be informed enough.
Anyone can play gambling, whether it's a man or a woman. What matters is that they have the money they can afford to lose on gambling and nothing more. They could easily win at gambling, but more people still lose at gambling. But it is not a wasted bet because the people who bet are aware of the risks and only use the money they can afford. And if, in the end, they use or deposit more money because they have experienced loss, that's a different story, and that can happen because they want to recover from their loss. But it will be difficult for them because they have lost before and must be ready for the next one.
I don't see how that's in any way related to the topic, we know that gambling is a two-way street where you either win or lose, so there is absolutely no surprise if one wins or loses, but when we say no bet is a waste, it doesn't mean that the money you've lost isn't wasted, they are, but a lot of people either gamble for entertainment or at least learn something from a lost bet, the more you lose, the more you reach nearer to the realization that gambling is not for those who want constant wins.

If you win more than you are losing, you will probably gamble even more, though I know that a lot of people tend to gamble more when they lose and that is out of rage and anger because they want to win against the house and recover their losses, it's a different thing that they never get success in that.
1233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 30, 2023, 07:22:10 PM
Maybe for some, it's true that 5 Bitcoins can't match the thrill and pleasure that comes from gambling. Also, if they are still young they can have lots of gambling sessions and they may get lucky to earn more than 5 bitcoins later on. Me as a middle age person, I think I will bait on the offer because I rarely play gambling and if I do, I only play tiny amounts, so I don't think I can accumulate 5 Bitcoins in my lifetime.

Maybe I will have more chance and I can win more than that if I bet on a lottery but IDK why I rarely did that. I guess it's because I find it unappealing plus lottery outlets in our area is kinda far. There are online versions but almost all of them are infamous casinos so I'm not sure about their reputation.
1234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 30, 2023, 06:48:03 PM
Negotiations are natural as Bayern Munich are very keen to sign Harry Kane but Tottenham have set a very high transfer price to release Harry Kane which is why Bayern Munich are trying to reduce the amount' transfer fee through negotiations. Bayern Munich clearly understand the importance of Harry Kane and Harry Kane is certainly a good choice as they need a quality striker in their squad. Bayern Munich have already sold Sadio Mané to get Harry Kane in the team. After selling Sadio Mané, it looks like Bayern Munich will soon sign Harry Kane with them. What steps could Bayern Munich take if Tottenham don't finally bring down Harry Kane's transfer fee?
There is no doubt about Bayern Munich interest in Harry Kane just because of this Tottenham Chairman is not reducing price and already rejected to bids from them, but now we have next round of talks in London on Monday which will decide how things will be gone into this deal with most chances Bayern Munich is positive to bring him before start of next season but still nothing is sure, but the departure of Sadio Mané is also indicating now Bayern Munich will try their best for ending this all quickly and Tottenham also understand this is last chances because if they fail then surely in next season Harry Kane will be gone as free agent which could be also big lost for them.

Here main problem is Tottenham Levy is not coming down from his £90m and now Bayern Munich is already touching the figure of £75m which mean gape is £15m and as things are going most chances this will end, and we will have Harry Kane in Germany while he will surely go to win his first trophy in next season as well.
1235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: July 30, 2023, 03:22:23 PM
       -     I think the reason why I got into crypto gambling is because I was hyped by my friend who is close to me, because he always tells stories when he wins gambling here in the crypto space. if he doesn't make a mistake in a month he wins 2-3 times in gambling.

And for each of his wins, the lowest amount he won was 400$+ and the highest he won was 1k$ plus so I was jealous of him, that's why. that pushed me why I started gambling here in crypto.
I've seen a lot of people getting inspired by such stories either by their friends or from somewhere else because they've heard someone winning big from gambling and they thought what if they could win as well that pushed them towards gambling, but to be honest, it doesn't work out for everyone out there, those who manage to win more than losing are only a few chosen people by god that are almost lucky all the time and that's why they are never at loss.

But it never happens to us, no matter how hard we try, we always lose at the end. Sometimes we might manage to win something but just because we are not patient enough we lose it all back to the house again and get out of the casino empty handed which makes us sad and disheartened but we come back again, lol.
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 29, 2023, 06:40:51 PM
I do not know what Juventus did that was so big, but between the league issue, and the conference league issue and then the punishment for that much money, all combined makes the team so bad. I am sure Nedved must be having flashbacks and a little PTSD because he would remember what happened last time everyone attacked them.

I do not know if what they did would worth this, after all this would mean at least a few seasons of bad results, first already happened because of punishments, but they must follow the rules without a doubt. Is there like some person there who is still in charge that makes the team do this? Like the last time and going down relegation, and now this time again, why it's always them? Why not others?
1237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympic Games, but doping is allowed?! on: July 29, 2023, 05:24:33 PM
Some conditions (even purely legal sports practise with extended exercise etc.) I've seen in recent sport careers have led to premature death and also health issues after leaving the game.  It is relevant then, if you are worse off within 10 or 20 years then it cost more then you believed it would.  For most people drug use isnt worth it, we use drugs in hospitals and medicine because its required but for sport or entertainment the answer is quite clear that its not a risk worth taking quite often thats become obvious.
And this happens because athletes take their bodies to the utmost limits, and if they have some unknown disease or condition then they can literally drop dead on the field, an image we have unfortunately see many times during our lives, so if doping was allowed the number of cases like that will increase dramatically, as in their attempts to be the very best they can be athletes will push the limits of their bodies and develop all kind of short and long term diseases.
Aren't there medical checks before such drugs are taken? If not, the management should be responsible for what happens to the players if there is a reaction or something due to the drug taken to enhance the player's abilities, because they are the ones who should be checking all these things if they are allowing and making their players take the drugs so that they can perform much better than their normal selves and that they manage to win the games.

Though I am totally against this thing of allowing players to openly use ability-enhancing drugs only to make the games more interesting, I still feel if something happens to the players, the management should be taken responsible for that since they should do medical check-ups before allowing a player to take drugs.
1238  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 5 Advantages of Bitcoin Casinos vs. Traditional Casinos on: July 29, 2023, 04:48:41 PM
With the integration of blockchain technology, Bitcoin casino advantage is that, they can implement provably fair gambling.  Aside from that, players from any place of the world can easily play gambling games without the need for the third party company to process the transfer.  The integration of blockchain to the casino includes the unbanked players.  That is some of the advantages of Bitcoin casinos over Traditional casinos.
Yes this can be a great advantage of blockchain based Casino. Here anyone can gamble very easily by just opening an account and depositing some bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies. And since all transactions here are recorded on the blockchain, the whole thing is very secure and trust worthy. And the biggest advantage here is that gambling can be done easily at home in the privacy of everyone's eyes using only a smartphone. that's why online Casino is very popular now
Well, that's how it used to be in the beginning, but things aren't that easy anymore that one only needs to create an account, make a deposit and start gambling, maybe you can be allowed to just make a deposit and start gambling unless you are depositing a very high amount, you will be asked to verify your identity anytime in the process or by the time you ask them to let you withdraw the money you've won, that is one complication that exists in cryptocurrency gambling platforms.

However, it is not something bad but it is only to prevent illegal activities that are carried out using these casinos by criminal minded people, and if we don't comply with these rules, we might either get in trouble or simply not be allowed to withdraw our funds, so it is probably better to choose a trusted casino and go with the flow.
1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 29, 2023, 03:41:55 PM
So I think it's easy to join in gambling but very hard to leave.
that is the reality experienced by most gamblers. Somehow they get money big enough to spend in the casino every day. this is for the addicted gambler. and it will be difficult to get out. I also feel that even though I only bet for a small nominal.
but one of the reasons for bad gamblers who cannot stop gambling regularly is that their finances are indeed quite strong. when there is nothing to bet on, it's possible that the gambling has already used up the assets that are owned. then it will definitely stop. but the problem is when they have a little money back, they can just go back to spending it on games. can come out or not, I think it depends on the changes of the gambler himself after all his assets are lost due to gambling.
An addicted gambler is not dangerous as long as they have money to spend and fulfill their urge, as soon as they get out of money and have nothing to sell so that they can get some money, they will become dangerous because they can do almost anything only to get some money so that they can continue gambling, and that isn't a good thing for those who live around them, they can do kidnapping, robbery, stealing, or anything that can provide them some money to the time being.

So, an addicted gambler doesn't basically stop when they get out of money but they start looking for other ways to get money if they have spent every penny they had and also have sold and used every asset and property they owned, such a gambler can be really dangerous and a threat to society.
1240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mistake that prevented your big win. on: July 29, 2023, 04:26:23 AM
I don't think it was a mistake but because your luck didn't come at that time, you thought it was because of your mistake. But in particular, accidentally clicking the bet max button is your fault. Maybe because you were in a hurry or thinking of something else, you didn't double check everything and pressed the button right away. For that one, I also often experience it in slot games and I intend to choose a small bet but in reality, I instead choose a bigger bet and lose. Well, we just have to be careful when playing gambling and always ensure everything is in order before we press the button.
I also have a same experience, but luckily I double of my money because of my mistake, after that I stop to gamble and cash out my winning to enjoy my day. But most of the times I keep losing and that's has been expected because of house edge. Gambling for long surely will make your money lose and almost has no chance to make money, while bet in bigger amount has a chance to make money.
I don't know why people think that there are more chances of winning when you bet with higher amounts while it is nothing more than a myth, the generated results are totally random and it has nothing to do with what you are betting with unless the casino is a scam and the games are rigged and there is not proper random number generator in use, but that barely happens and most of the platforms do use proper random number generators.

So your chances of winning or losing in gambling aren't dependent on how big or small your bets are, but it is totally dependent on your luck and whether you will win or lose. The only difference a bigger bet can make is that you will get more profit if you win a bet, other than that, it doesn't have any effect.
