141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain games. Whaaat? on: October 09, 2018, 05:01:28 PM
Blockchain games are not necessarily to be ERC-20 tokens running on Ethereum blockchain. It can be any on chain game running on any blockchain.

Have you ever played blockchain games? What do you think about them?
Yes. Check my signature. Its a highly transparent one.

144  Local / India / Re: Has anybody bank account been frozen by Cyber Crime Cell in India? on: October 06, 2018, 12:15:08 PM
Also, in FY 2018, I have done a lot of P2P transactions via Indian exchanges.

You were using savings account or current account?
145  Other / Meta / Re: endless captchas on: October 06, 2018, 12:05:36 PM
Why must I be tortured with half a dozen captchas or more every time I log in?
Sometimes it goes on so long that I just give up.
What's the deal?

Captcha bypass

148  Economy / Speculation / Re: Almost 12 months of Bear Market .Is there any better future a head? on: October 03, 2018, 08:47:48 PM
Has it ever occured in the history of Cryptocurrency market since the inception of bitcoin in 2009  to expirience almost 12 month Calendar  bear market ?
12 months bear market is nothing. We have gone through 24 months bear market before. I think, price will recover after 2020 block halving.
149  Other / Meta / Re: Evolution of rank names on: October 03, 2018, 05:21:43 PM
It's already far too common. Any shitposter who has just been here a couple of years prior to the merit system became one and it's mostly meaningless when that happens.

Is there any stat to know the number of Legendary right now on BitcoinTalk?
150  Other / Meta / Re: Evolution of rank names on: October 03, 2018, 05:04:57 PM
Theymos created the Legendary rank a few years ago I believe, but can't say for certain about all the others. I wonder if we'll ever get Lamborghini Member  Grin? We're going to need another rank above Legendary eventually (if we don't already). Not sure what it should be called, but others have suggested some titles somewhere. I think the new rank should require a very high level of activity just so it sets you apart from everyone else and so that rank doesn't become too common like Legendary has now.

Legendary is not too common IMHO. Especially after merit is introduced, we will have very few legendary is coming years...
151  Other / Meta / Re: Captcha bypass on: October 03, 2018, 04:25:57 PM
You can now bypass the login CAPTCHA by bookmarking the link generated for you here: https://bitcointalk.org/captcha_code.php

If it causes problems, I might restrict it to Jr Members and above or something, but currently anyone can do it.

Good job buddy. Good job.

Just wanna know, do you have any formal PHP knowledge or its self-taught?
152  Local / India / Re: Has anyone else recieved notice from Bank? on: October 01, 2018, 06:38:04 PM
I still want to know how the bank knew about his bitcoin transactions. Did you explicitly mention bitcoin in the TXN remarks?
I am sure he traded at some Indian (non-P2P) Exchange. It is not difficult for banks to find out the current a/c no. of Indian Crypto Exchanges and then find list of all the customer IDs who transacted with that a/c no.

I am interested to know, those who are facing bank inquiries, did u use savings a/c or current a/c for trading?
153  Local / India / Re: STAY AWAY FROM ZEBPAY on: September 30, 2018, 09:20:13 PM
I am afraid ZebPay can really do anything in this situation. Because of RBI regulation, they're unable to use their bank a/c to process withdrawal. The only option left here is to convert to some crypto and withdraw. Joe might HODL that crypto or sell it through some P2P to recover his FIAT.

The issue is they are not allowing Joe to convert to crypto either...

Oops. I wish Mahin was around...
154  Other / Meta / Re: Rant on Tor on: September 30, 2018, 02:21:02 PM
I forget to mention there should be another domain (preferable .onion), but normally user only can see login page with input field signed message/PGP signature/certificate and register page which force copper membership.
To prevent spam, there should reCAPTCHA, but configured to allow JS-disabled browser to solve it.

Adding new subdomain will redirect you on main doamin. Once you click loging page than same thing will happen. But I think for reCAPTCHA problem could solve by CAPTCHA.
For Example 9+2=?
If use this kind of CAPTCHA I think Tor browser will not face problem.

AFAIK, smart bots can solve 9+2=?. This is the reason big websites are increasingly placing trust on Google's Re-CAPTCHA. Unfortunately, Google's Re-CAPTCHA does not provide word challenge anymore. All are just images and they dont get solved even if you are correctly pointing them. The reason behind this is Google's machine learning AI is far from perfect as of yet. They assume, good IP will always correctly solve the captcha. But, they dont. Hence, the irritating problem we face with Tor.
155  Local / India / Re: STAY AWAY FROM ZEBPAY on: September 30, 2018, 11:26:00 AM
I have a friend who transferred some funds to Zebpay but never purchased Bitcoins with those funds.  So he had INR balance on Zebpay. Spoke to their customer service today who informed him that he will not be able to do anything right now because INR withdrawals are stopped and he cannot purchase BTC also becuase trading is stopped. This is horseshit and they are holding his funds to ransom.

First of all one it was one of the fastest purchase and selling site because it didn't had p2p.In the past they had notified to withdraw money many times. After ban the trades were being done he should have traded with tusd and trasferred the tusd amount to any other wallet or exchange for example wazirx. And already they had stated that no trade deposit withdrawal nothing will be done, only crypto wallet deposit and withdraw will be carried out.I don't know why people waited so long with their INR.Its really pathetic.People who either have loads of cash or very very tiny amount only they will do things like that.I guess nothing can be done at the present moment.Good luck I wish your problem gets solved.

it is peculiar how you have chosen to take such a defensive stance for such a scammy and shitty company like ZebPay.  they may have notified to withdraw, but (let's call my friend Joe) Joe is not into crypto at all, he simply wanted to buy a small amount of BTC.  He has a regular business which keeps him very busy and a wife who leaves him with no time.  certainly some fault lies with Joe who transferred the INR to Zebpay and left it lying there for months, ignoring notifications. however i don't think such behaviour can be called 'pathetic', perhaps lazy at the most.

on the contrary, an official response from Zebpay at this stage saying "nothing can be done, withdrawals and trading is currently closed." is rather pathetic. they need to figure out a way to give him his money back!  there was no crypto transaction made in this case.  they cannot and should not say there is no solution to their customers. i'm sure Joe is not the only one in this situation.

I am afraid ZebPay can really do anything in this situation. Because of RBI regulation, they're unable to use their bank a/c to process withdrawal. The only option left here is to convert to some crypto and withdraw. Joe might HODL that crypto or sell it through some P2P to recover his FIAT.
156  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Gambling Website on: September 30, 2018, 11:19:59 AM
I am here, as the title suggests to talk about my gambling website.  It has a beautiful, neat, simple yet elegant design.  It hosts games such as blackjack, provability fair dicing, and duels that players can play against each other.
Can you please show me a demo?

A live demo will be up in approximately 2 weeks.  The website will be opened and online shortly thereafter.

EDIT: I'll show you some pictures of the website and some of the games that can be played.  Will message you in a few minutes.

EDIT 2: You don't have the option on where I (NEWBIES) could message you.  You could message me with a means of contact and I'll send you information.

Settings changed. Now, u can message me. But, I am not interested in pictures or documents. Please show me live demo.

158  Other / Meta / Re: Endless CAPTCHA on: September 29, 2018, 10:29:19 PM
I just now enabled Cloudflare's "onion routing", which is supposed to fix that, though I have some concerns about it, so we'll see how it goes.

Edit: It doesn't seem to actually be doing anything yet, though. Maybe it takes some time to come into effect, or maybe there's some other issue.
Cloudflare's "onion routing" wont fix the problem of Endless CAPTCHA. CAPTCHA is served by Google and Google does not like Tor. The problem can only be resolved if you enable a .onion mirror of BitcoinTalk and disable Google's CAPTCHA from login form.

As the original statement was made by GMaxwell, I'd expect him to take part in the conversation...

GMaxwell never joined in. But, even after two long years, the statement is still valid IMHO.
