May be I am speculating here... but I see history is going to repeat itself (not in the same chronological order though)...

Previous Scenario :-
2012 end: Block reward halving
2013 beginning: Hard Fork
2013 mid: Cyprus crisis
2013 end: Bitcoin reached ATH

Current Scenario :-
2015 mid: Greece crisis
2016 beginning: Hard Fork
2016 mid: Block reward halving
2016 end: ? ? ?

Nice info, still I have a question . How did benson become indian moderator , was he in the team already ?
This is how it started => https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=154111.0

Ha! This was a nice one, some time ago. Quite a few, still around from back then.

I believe, most of them are around. Just with a different name.

When people are banned , they are asked to email to a specific id which never replies . Is there any option to get back a banned account ?
People are not generally perma-banned in the first go. They are temporary banned, where you can come back again after the ban period is over. There are some written (and unwritten) rules of this forum. Only if you keep breaking them, you'll be perma-banned. I have never heard anyone successfuly recovering their perma-banned account.
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone tried this LocalBitcoins alternative ? on: June 30, 2015, 04:57:02 PM
this thread looks like a marketing thing to me.
especially as not once anyone mentioned mycelium wallets local trader function, which is well, just like localbitcoins. trade btc for cash, and yes it doesnt charge any fees at all.

(there is no escrow service included) - so only trade with people who you know or at least keep the volume low at first time meetings.
apart from that - this is what you want if you really were looking for an alternative.

Direct trading bitcoin without an escrow is a joke. You will be scammed left and right. Apart from www.100bit.co.in, the only decent alterative to LocalBitcoins is BitQuick.co. Mycelium is a good wallet, but not an alternative to LocalBitcoins at all.
965  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is it possible to launch a Bitcoin ETF in NSE/BSE ? on: June 30, 2015, 04:48:03 PM
How the people, who will lock their bitcoins in creating the ETF fund, will be benefited ?

No one knows the answer to my question ? How come the promoters of an ETF get benefited ? Please note that, I am not asking about the traders who'll trade that ETF. I am asking about the people, who lock their Gold/bitcoin in creating a Gold/bitcoin ETF.

How does anyone become moderator of any topic ?
A topic can be started as a moderated one by OP. But, this topic is not moderated by OP. Benson is the Moderator of India forum. So, he has moderation right on every topic on this subforum. But, topic movement can be done by both OP and forum moderator.

Is there any owner of bitcointalk ?
BitcoinTalk.org domain owner is Sirius aka Martti Malmi. BitcoinTalk.org website admin is theymos aka Michael Marquardt.

Who had discovered bitcoin ?
Bitcoin was not discovered. It was invented by Satoshi Nakamoto, who is an anonymous identity.

Answer to these queries if you know please .
Answered.

Chain profit is literally weekly ponzi! This is basically exactly what Weekly ponzi did! Trying to be transparent, deducting only 5% of what was put in, and increased the amount by 20% itself! I am not trying to put up post count, I am proving that it really is a transparent ponzi.

The website was literally created 3 weeks ago and has WHOIS guard.

It is a rebranch off a website called Crazyponzi.com

If you type that in, it will redirect you to chainprofit.com

Operator makes money no matter what! There's no way he's ever going to lose money! It's a 100% gain venture!

Tell me it's not a ponzi again.

You will be awarded a Noble prize for discovering something that is already stated in OP's signature. The game is running as Crazyponzi.com for around two months now. Recently, OP announced a public contest in Service section to rebrand this site, where the name ChainProfit.com was chosen (I sugested the name and won 0.1 BTC which was escrowed to Dooglus).

Moreover, you drastically failed to understand the underlying scam of WeeklyPonzi and the transparent gambling game of ChainProfit. WeeklyPonzi accumulated sum and vanished, whereas sum does not even get accumulated at ChainProfit. Bankroll goes up & down here.

And ya... tell me a Gambling site that does not use a WHOIS guard.

Tell me it's not a Gambling site again. Roll Eyes

I tried signing up, but its acting pretty weird. Tried to sign in, after confirming email, said my password was incorrect, then tried to recover it..and it said incorrect email ID...something is up???

I tried to sign up a new account. Everything worked perfect. You might have tried to log in with your Email ID. That is why they stopped you. Once you confirm your Email, they send another email containing your User ID. Try to log in with that.

Just because he added more information than other ponzis do, does not mean that he still is running a ponzi. Therefore, still investor based games.

^^Idiotic statement just to increase post count.

Where did u find that I am saying it is not a ponzi game because he added more info ? This game is fundamentally different from all other Ponzi games. The bankroll does not only go up here. It goes down as well. It is self sustaining and brings in a whole new gambling concept. Please read the thread I referred above (rather than reading only VOD's last post... especially Dooglus' statement) before making next comment.
972  Other / Meta / Re: Should ChainProfit.com be moved to Gambling section ? on: June 21, 2015, 08:58:21 PM

It is a ponzi site which should belong to investor based games section. Why you want it to be moved to gambling section?

I play on here a little bit, and it is absolutely NOT a ponzi, it is a gambling game based on the idea of a ponzi.  A true ponzi is not transparent, you have no idea what funds are coming from where.  This site you can see ALL of the deposits, and all of the information is presented clearly (except that the return is not really 40% or whatever).

But yeah, this should be in the gambling section IMO.  I say this as someone who has played the game.

*facepalm* "not a ponzi" "based on the idea of a ponzi"

It's probably a ponzi bro.

It should go to investor based games. It ain't a casino, it's a straight up ponzi!

A murder game is built based on the idea of murdering. But, that does not make a player murderer.

I'm sure you either did not check game logic or did not understand it and making statement just based on someone else's statement. There was a long coversation of OP with VOD, Dooglus and a few others regarding the game. Check it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1060467.0. This would probably help you to understand why it is not a ponzi and should go under gambling.
973  Other / Meta / Re: Separate trust lists on: June 21, 2015, 08:35:48 PM
So, what you are saying is like having sidechains that would be pegged to the main chain. Tongue Grin Cool

Well... apart from joke, I like this idea. Lets take the example of escrow.ms. He is a long term trader and probably a nice fit for the 'Currency Exchange' section. But, he might not be well aware about the happenings of 'Alternative Cryptocurrecy' section. So, mprep might be the best fit over there. Good idea. But, I guess, it would be a tedious job for theymos to implement this into SMF. Especially when the new forum is coming, I doubt whether he'll take this suggestion seriously.
974  Other / Meta / Re: Should ChainProfit.com be moved to Gambling section ? on: June 21, 2015, 08:25:39 PM
Well... I'd like to see this in Gambling section as well. This game is about partly luck and partly strategy.

It is a drink that should be prohibited in the entire world as when it is mixed with alcohol it creates a TIME BOMB for the human body, mainly between innocent adolescents and adults with little experience.

Be careful...

Looks like a great new site, just waiting for volume on it to pick up steam.

if everyone is just waiting for the volume to raise, then it will never raise, better to take advantage of its future and join it now, if you need localbitcoin but for altcoin, it should be the best available service out there
Exactly. Especially their fees are right now 1/10 of LocalBitcoins. LocalBitcoins take 1% for escrow, whereas 100bit.co.in is charging 0.1%.

I wish local bitcoins had a Alt coin option. Step up your game local bitcoins!  Grin

they should indeed come up with localaltcoin, would be fabulous
Well, I dont think so. Because they are not Alt coin specific. They are offering everything that LocalBitcoins does, Alt coin trading is just an added property to their service. Moreover, Alt coins & FIAT both can only be exchanged with bitcoin. Bitcoin is at the epicenter.

Hey loads of tech glitches for the first time, but a lot of discussion went on for more than an hour later on..

I won't call this a fail Tongue

Thanks Benson for answering people..

Let us see who joins tomorrow..

Lot of discussion ! Then why is it blank ?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPePTHr8y9g

I only experienced lots of noise and then you, Benson and another lady tried to say something. The last word I heard that you were saying discussion will be tomorrow and then it was closed !

I think, Skype is a better option, but AFAIK at least one person needs a premium account to hold a group VC.
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone tried this LocalBitcoins alternative ? on: June 20, 2015, 12:10:21 AM
I did. So far so good. They are indeed offering a few more features than LocalBitcoins, e.g. direct trading of Alt coins. But, they are very new. So, the volume is low.
979  Local / India / Re: India's Best Bitcoin Exchange goes Live with Deposits & Withdrawals! on: June 19, 2015, 06:39:22 PM
I have a small sell order at 16k (part of the 2+ btc). Could someone please fill it up? Tongue

Last I checked, there are lower offers on both www.LocalBitcoins.com and www.100bit.co.in Smiley
980  Local / India / Re: Buy bitcoin in India - Locked in rate, lowest rates on: June 18, 2015, 01:03:43 PM
Firstly, we absolutely 100% guarantee lowest rates to buy bitcoins in India. We are adding more sellers in coming months which will make sure you get lowest rate in India Smiley

How do you define the lowest rate ? Does it include INR sellers on LocalBitcoins.com/100bit.co.in ?

At this moment if you try to purchase 10,000 INR worth of coins our rates will be cheapest ( It does not mater if you buy 100 INR or 10,000 INR but just to compare with exchanges like CoinSecure )

We are simply trying to get rates in parity with USD rate, so new people who wants to try bitcoin does not feel that they are giving premium over rates in foreign exchanges. App allows you to buy monthly 10,000 INR worth of coins at the moment so it is specifically aimed at quick purchases to spend on something and for new users.

The ultimate model is marketplace where we want all players in market to compete with each other give you best rates as our app is based on marketplace model. At the moment we have one seller, buysellbitco.in but let me assure you in coming months you will see few more options and app will book lowest rate possible ( Our app can add even localbitcoin or individual sellers subject to KYC AML ). Our business model is not buying selling bitcoins, its more related to adoption of bitcoins to new and general audience.

I hope I was able to explain why we claim lowest rate Smiley

Thanks and Regards

So, you mean people will be able to buy at the lowest rate that is available on your platform. But, that has nothing to do with the available rates on UnoCoin/CoinSecure/LocalBitcoins/100bit.co.in ?
