981  Local / India / Re: Buy bitcoin in India - Locked in rate, lowest rates on: June 18, 2015, 12:44:12 PM
Firstly, we absolutely 100% guarantee lowest rates to buy bitcoins in India. We are adding more sellers in coming months which will make sure you get lowest rate in India Smiley

How do you define the lowest rate ? Does it include INR sellers on LocalBitcoins.com/100bit.co.in ?

986  Other / Meta / Re: Why move all threads regarding the fork to Altcoin Discussion? on: June 16, 2015, 12:07:05 AM
Someone is playing politics. I would argue that those threads should remain in bitcoin discussion until it becomes clear if the fork is going to happen or not. If it will ultimately not happen then they belong in altcoin discussion, however until that it more clear, then the threads are discussing what will potentially happen to the Bitcoin protocol.

That was my first thought too. That a mod has taken a side of the discussion. Though i dont want to believe this since i would want to think mods dont act this way.

Its about the future of bitcoins and one of the bitcoin chains will survive. Discussing the future of bitcoin in an altcoin subforum is simply not correct.

I beg to disagree. Thread movement is correct. This is not future of bitcoin, where the longest chain is ignored. This is altcoin...

Are you people seriously waiting for 5 days to get payed less than 10 cents?
That's just beyond ridiculous.

So, after losing in the game and screaming fake scam you are back again to spread FUD ?

Uno aint going anywhere but as an exchange CS has a better future. Uno is good now because of it's semi instantaneous-ness.

Btw I was asking about what happened to the Indians who were here during the old forum days. Benu da is just one guy who's hanging out since then, others would be Dishwasher / Pinu da / Nilam Doc / Amitabh  (doc) lol

I hope Mr Dishwasher retaliates ^_^

amitabh still visits sometimes but i don't see him often , about the rest - i haven't even heard of them. Yeah i know , you feel old now Tongue

989  Local / India / Re: Embrace Yourself for National Cryptocurrency on: June 14, 2015, 11:14:44 AM
Take your time to educate with intricacies of financial world. And lets pray together that, full-time nodes actively promulgating so called 'disruption' and 'network effect' backed by argument of 'innate network effect' do not discard National Cryptocurrency as another altcoin.

Amen!

Yah... Raghuram Rajan appears to be far more reliable than Gavin Andresen. INR rulez Wink

991  Economy / Services / Re: Paying 0.1 BTC for Rebranding [Escrowed] on: June 14, 2015, 11:00:42 AM
insanebtc.com
crazybtc.com
OP has already chosen his preferred name for re-branding.

How about NOT rebranding.
Ponzis usually don't want to be called ponzis. You have nothing to hide, as
your site is transparent about how it works!
Read the OP. A few games that used to be run on CrazyPonzi were actual Ponzi Game. But, the current one is not. Current one is a type of social gambling. Hence he chose the name ChainProfit.

994  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does anyone know what blockchain.info is doing ? on: June 10, 2015, 09:00:46 PM
Any news on this?

They have started to forward funds. Still at a 48 hour lag. Get ready for a huge influx of Tx to flood the mempool.
995  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recent breach at Blockchain.info -- Android App did a stupid. on: June 10, 2015, 08:49:00 PM
Damn. This is ridiculous. Why did they need to call random.org ? Does not an android phone provide enough entropy ? I think, if phone location (lat, long) is used along with phone number, then better entropy can be created.

Does anyone know how blockchain.info generates the random number for an address while we create it through browser ? Do they call random.org there as well ?
996  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: indian hindi group (buying/selling bitcoin in indian rupees) on: June 10, 2015, 04:55:41 PM
How much can you offer for 0.0366 BTC via NEFT/IMPS?
  527 rupees (14400 rate)

Nice to see an INR buy/sell thread. Its good to use an escrow service for direct trading. I'd prefer www.100bit.co.in.

Why a website as an escrow? There are trusted escrows here as well and I'll use MZ as an escrow if required.

Definitely you can use any of the trusted escrows listed over here => https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0. Websites like LBC/100bit.co.in also provides escrow for direct trading. I preferred 100bit.co.in over LBC, because of their trade commission in 0.1% as against LBC's 1%. The problem of manual escrow is your choice is MZ, whereas other's choice may be OgNasty/BitcoinDream. Opinions differ. At the end of the day, it is upto the traders to decide who or what they'll use as escrow.
997  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: indian hindi group (buying/selling bitcoin in indian rupees) on: June 10, 2015, 04:45:33 PM

Sorry to disappoint you gys, this type of vouch screams scam at the very first glance.
998  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does anyone know what blockchain.info is doing ? on: June 10, 2015, 04:38:06 PM
What is supposed to be happening? I've been using it all day and it has worked fine.

It is supposed to forward some funds to those who are using blockchain.info receive API, which they are not doing for around 72 hours now.
999  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does anyone know what blockchain.info is doing ? on: June 10, 2015, 04:06:14 PM
Could this be related to the ongoing flood attack on the blockchain? maybe it collapsed the website.

I dont think so. Their send api is working perfectly along with their normal functioning of block explorer.

Could this be related to the ongoing flood attack on the blockchain? maybe it collapsed the website.

Maybe you are onto something there. The website must have a limit on the number of connections it can simultaneously support. I have tried to access it a number of times over the last year and got a message saying it had reached the maximum number connections possible and I would have to wait to connect.

One year ! What are you talking about ? I have been served pretty well by blokchain.info for last one year. They might have blacklisted your IP for some reason. Open a support request at blockchain.zendesk.com.

I'm sure they'll sort it all out guys, they seem to be very honest & always endeavour to fix problems.
Many sites have gone bust & stolen user funds but whilst blockchain.info have suffered minor issues they always seem to resolve the issues.
Keep an eye on their twitter, they're quite good at interacting with their users @blockchain
https://mobile.twitter.com/blockchain

Edit - From reading their twitter it seems there is a delay with receiving funds through their payment API, the funds are taking longer than normal to be received but they WILL be received.

blockchain.info is a de facto name in the world of bitcoin with a backing from bitcoin Jesus Roger Ver. I dont doubt their intention. I'm merely saying that they could incorporate a paid model for their API and provide a stable service to paid users. We can not expect strong and stable service from a free service provider year after year.
1000  Economy / Service Discussion / Does anyone know what blockchain.info is doing ? on: June 10, 2015, 03:15:25 PM
It has been almost 72 hours now that blockchain.info receive API has stopped forwarding funds.

Here is the last official update from their end: https://twitter.com/blockchain/status/608278475259002880

We're investigating latency with our Receive Payments API at the moment. We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing.

Why dont they implment the pay as you go model in their API and provide a better support. I dont think a serious app developer will have any issue in paying ~0.0001 BTC per Tx to use their receive API, but the API needs to be stable. It is the third time they are giving trouble in the first 10 days of the month of June ! Undecided
