Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?
how? what can be done?
I doubt whether cryptocurrencies can offer anything magical to change the economic status of a nation.
563  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the Future of Bitcoin ? on: October 02, 2016, 11:07:59 AM
Actually no one knows the future of bitcoin. Bitcoin is increasing
its demands, as we all know bitcoin is also being popular. The future
is bitcoin is being featured regularly in the remittance world. And,
currency brokers will be trading and dealing with bitcoins more regularly.!
I don't think it would be featured in the remittance world, as bitcoin wallets have the ability to send bitcoin from wallet to wallet. But if you are talking about some wallets who have the ability to convert your Bitcoin by means of banks deposit, cash door-to-door delivery, and cash pick up / or western union branches than you are right Bitcoin can be handy for people who wants cash in their hand.

I think he is talking about that. Yes it comes in handy for many people that I have talked to. It is way cheaper than other remittances and the withdrawal state is very easy. Just an account and password no certain ID's needed and you are good to go.

Thats the big benefits  on  bitcoin which you could do  money transfers without any hassle and  no problem  on having big fees on any transaction. You are right  withdrawal  is very easy its jsut a matter of few clicks and  there you could able  to transfer money without any problems.

this is exactly why i always say bitcoin can become more and more successful as times goes by because there is a lot of potential of  usage for regular people and advanced users to  start using bitcoin and save up on a lot of fee moneys that they were paying the payment processors to send.

In short, u r saying remittance industry is the future of bitcoin. But, that is just one. Bitcoin is also shining bright in online gambling, adult industry etc.

What is the best way to earn Bitcoin?
Depends. If u already have a lump sum of bitcoin, then invest. Otherwise sale your skill set for bitcoin.

Are faucets worthwhile or is there an easier way?
Faucets are bad and easier ways are worst. It might take a month to earn a dollar.

How much can I expect to earn?
If u have the required skill set, only sky is the limit.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which gambling sites have 0% house edge? on: October 02, 2016, 10:59:58 AM
If there an gambling websites that offer 0% of house edge then there no be a greedy player and the website will be bankrupt for sure im not so sure here if im i going to trust 0% house edge anyway and how people are  going to make profit ? hmm let's think it carefuly.
www.BitcoinBetting.website is nowhere near bankrupt, though it is running with 0% house edge. All the bets on the site are independently verifiable on bitcoin blockchain.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which gambling sites have 0% house edge? on: October 01, 2016, 10:15:22 PM
Thats weird I have never heard of a gambling site / game that has 0% house
edge. I guess their form of revenue would be advertisements then? Just seems odd
and would be afraid to deposit or win to much that they wouldn't pay.
Please check my sig. They dont have any ad on their site and their payments are verifiable on blockchain.

I'm not sure i'd trust a site with 0% edge. the best sites are upfront about where you stand and it's provable. this sounds like a way to tempt the greedy, and gamblers already are, and help themselves to your money either by an exit scam or screwing you on your wins.

"The gambling industry will not stay at a 1% house edge. Soon it will be 0%." - Predicted an article published on May 27, 2014 - https://www.bitedge.co/blog/0-house-edge-provably-fair-and-trustless-gambling/

Today, we are witnessing it to be a reality.
567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you sacrifice privacy for Ease of Use and better features than Bitcoin? on: September 30, 2016, 11:01:03 PM
Rise of PC did not kill mainframe. Rise of blockchain wont kill bitcoin either. Bitcoin will make its place as digital gold.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone reading this right now will be dead before Bitcoin dies on: September 30, 2016, 10:58:45 PM
Sorry to tell you, but for all those people asking "when Bitcoin is going to die" or "Bitcoin will be alive in 100 years?" or "will it be replaced by an alt?" need to realize that Bitcoin will have a lifespan longer than everyone in here combined. Bitcoin will keep evolving and adapting and going beyond all its struggles, and it will become the currency of the universe. Bitcoin will be the currency used in the first planet that we colonize to transact with us, and from there sky is the limit, it will spread across the universe as the human race spreads colonizing other planets. Bitcoin will be the de-facto trans-planetary currency, the universal mean of exchange thanks to it being based in math. We will find ways to launch nodes in space, we will find a way to connect everything into the same interplanetary economy. In the year 100.000, lots of humans will live in tons of different planets and we will have ways to send and receive Bitcoin from planet to planet across the galaxy.

We are the pioneers of the universal currency, so you should feel happy about that.

Not if core kills it first.

So are you going to kill every reader here before core/blockstream kills Bitcoin?

Or are you going to stop core and safe Bitcoin?
Death of hotmail, yahoo mail or rediff mail did not kill email. Email is pretty alive and kicking with gmail.

Core may kill bitcoin core, NOT bitcoin. Bitcoin core is nothing but the most widely used node+wallet software at this moment. Bitcoin users will shift to better alternative software as soon as they are available.

Multiple old casinos have suddenly started to default. Please keep us informed about the status of your withdrawal.
571  Local / India / Re: bitcoin gambling in India on: September 30, 2016, 10:22:20 PM
is   bitcoin gambling in India  is legal. I do not see any problems with those overseas, but here i heard from someone that its illegal, thats why am asking
There is no rule to govern bitcoin in India. So, bitcoin gambling is neither legal nor illegal.
Please do not post something you are unsure of as a fact. Meth is not legal, doesn't mean you can buy Meth with bitcoin, just because there is no rule to govern bitcoin in India.
Meth is illegal in India. Hence buying it with bitcoin is also illegal. Here, the whole act of illegality is coming from the law governing Meth.

But, there is neither any law governing bitcoin, nor any law governing online gambling. So, how come bitcoin gambling become illegal?

Please note that, using bitcoin in any offline betting is illegal as offline betting is itself illegal in India (except certain licensed ones).
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: September 30, 2016, 10:06:45 PM
For me just invest dont gamble because will lose all your money in instant but please considered it you can make big profit to in gambling.
Buying BTC itself is an investment. If he has 1 BTC, he can definitely gamble with 0.1 BTC and store the rest in cold wallet as safe investment.
573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: There is no life in Gambling can you accept this....?? on: September 30, 2016, 09:54:04 PM
I think this idea is correct. Gambling isn't a real method to make money because its very risky, and we see the most gamblers are losing money using gambling
Not always. Here is an incident where a gambler multiplied his bet to 16 times - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1619806.0
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on sport = gambling? on: September 30, 2016, 08:10:28 PM
Betting on sport = gambling?
Please write your mind.

Of course it is. Anything u put your money on, for which the result is unknown, is a form of betting. It might be result of a sports or digit of a block hash or price of a stock, it is gambling.
575  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Now Accepting Ether ! on: September 30, 2016, 08:06:24 PM
It's my favorite time of year here in Melbourne Australia as it's spring carnival time and that means big horse races. The best thing for me this year is that DirectBet is taking bets on these big races and it will be my first time betting with crypto's on horse races thanks to DirectBet. I normally bet on the big races on bet365 but they don't accept cryptocurrencies so this year I'll be betting with DirectBet, just like to thank DirectBet for adding Australian horse racing and I hope some day in the near future I see Greyhound racing added.

Are the result of the races available publicly online or u need to go to the ground to verify the result?
576  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: September 30, 2016, 07:58:10 PM
i vote betking.io Smiley
I think, Just-Dice and BitDice are two good options for now, though for Just-Dice u need to convert BTC to CLAM.

579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In which language top gambling sites are coded ? on: September 30, 2016, 07:37:46 PM
https://wajur.com uses nginx in front of Java/JSP.

Ironically, the primary developer makes extensive use of Node.js at his or her "day job", but falls back to more traditional technologies when the stakes are higher.

Agree with the sentiment that GO will become more popular for the back end.

Wish someone would start a thread about the best places to host...
Never heard of this game. Could u please point to the official thread of wajur?
