I tested the cs server, seems to be functioning ok. The buy menu is bit clumsy, maybe increase the buy time in the beginning of the round if possible.

I have a question that is stupid, but I can't seem to find it. How many coins (or currencies -- I gather you guys don't want them called coins for some reason). will the total be? And are you going to be on Poloniex or Bittrex? I don't mine, but I have an interest in getting some HYPER!
In 10 years there will be 60 million HYPER in circulation, and then HYPER will switch to 2% annual interest from proof of stake to reward holders for helping secure the HYPER network. The 2% inflation also ensures HYPER remains spendable, but still valuable. Currently there's only a few million HYPER in circulation (very rare) and coins stake at 5% interest per month for HYPER holders. I think that he may have been referencing the book "Dune". "Spice" is the important resource in that book. HYPER Cryptocurrency MMO Project
I. GENERAL INFORMATION
HYPER is a space based 4X MMO space strategy game where players get paid the emerging cryptocurrency HYPER, through managing, growing and expanding their own intergalactic empire from humble beginnings.
Classic 4X games (such as Master of Orion, Sins of a Solar Empire, Endless Space) are big picture space strategy games with a focus on world building, technology research, expansion, diplomacy, resource management, economic management and more. Typically, as is the case with the HYPER MMO, players can choose from a number of Alien Races to play, each with different strengths and weaknesses which has a direct impact on the playing experience and the growth of their empire.
MMOs are Massively Multiplayer Online games which feature a persistent gameworld where thousands of players from anywhere on Earth interact, trade, work together, form agreements, break such agreements, earn virtual commodities, buy and sell these virtual commodities, and more. The game world is persistent in the sense that when players log back in, the world will still be there with the thousands of other players, and the resources and achievements the player has accumulated thus far in the MMO.
Half Game and half Galactic Empire Simulation, HYPER blends both 4X and MMO game tropes into a gaming experience whereby players establish, build and grow their own empire in a universe consisting of thousands of other players interacting, trading, forming and breaking alliances with each other and more.
11. DETAILED GAME DESCRIPTION
Basic Concept:
HYPER is a game In which players grow and develop an intergalactic empire, which earns them the emerging cryptocurrency HYPER.
Background Story:
HYPER is set in the same universe as that in which we all inhabit, with one small difference. The setting is 10 000 years in the future, humanity has exploded into the cosmos, and discovered a universe where life is as abundant as the stars themselves.
In this moment of the grand arc of the human story, pre-space faring humans are referred to as pre-civilized – though conflicts and disputes do still arise between the many human and non-human worlds now sprinkled through the vastness of space.
Faster than light travel is achieved through the use of a scarce resource known as HYPER; which is only found in the bowels of certain decaying stars. HYPER is the premium resource in the Universe for which all else is traded.
Some alien races shun a monetary system altogether, but still obtain HYPER by other means: through direct harvesting, bartering or stealing.
We have two science fiction fans / authors who are further developing the background and Canon story arc of the HYPER universe. More coming soon in the official document. |

Time for a HYPER update on the awesome developments we have going on right now concerning HYPER as the online gaming currency! Current critical projects being funded with bounties:- HYPER Counterstrike server where people can earn HYPER by fragging bots is coming very soon! The server is actually already up and includes HYPER logos and images in the arena - I am just waiting for the HYPER wallet to be fully integrated by the dev of this project before I make a public announcement. - Strategy space MMO game / engine for evaluation and testing - Turns out the PHP codebase was in Hungarian(!), but our dedicated dev has managed to get it installed and semi operational on a private server. Once we have populated the galaxy we will open it to everyone to play in an Alpha state while we evaluate the game engine as a possibility for the main HYPER MMO. The Hungarian codebase is a problem, if we can't find a Hungarian dev to help with the project, we will probably use a different engine for the final HYPER MMO. However, we will keep this game up as a service to the community (and I really want to play it and build my space empire over the space of months!), and we may well add in background music, additional art and background story just for fun too So even if this engine does not become the engine for our core MMO, we will still run this as our first space MMO game project, assuming our current dev can overcome the hurdles with the Hungarian coding (he's making good progress!). - HYPER arcade - leptoon is still working on the HYPER arcade. ETA on this is early next week There will be loads of games to play and loads of ways players can earn HYPER. We will also try and get indie game developers to showcase their games on the site - HYPER Minecraft plugin - We also have another dev working on a HYPER Minecraft plugin. It's all in my head but I know that doesn't make it easy for people to see exactly what I have in mind, so it's time to release the HYPER game concept officially, now I have time to work on it.
In regards to an escrow for the 500 MMO HYPER Development Fund, none of the main escrows on the forum here are available to escrow it, but I have made a good contact with the PR I have been doing for HYPER, and we should have the 500 000 HYPER MMO Development Fund in the hands of a trusted bitcointalk member within a day or two. What is the max number of coins?
There is no max. The coin will stake forever. This is designed to ensure HYPER remains spendable in online games / MMOs / virtual worlds and more. However, due to the 5% monthly PoS for the first 5 years, once the coin has a higher exchange rate many will hold onto their coins to stake them (including MMO operators like us, who will keep the principal fund reserved for staking to supply HYPER for our players and gameworld). |
