121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take Profits! Its important! on: March 13, 2024, 04:38:54 PM
When we are at Extreme Greed you need to be taking some profit off the table. Most people in crypto fail to keep the money they've made. They either sell too late or they selfishly watch all profits fall back to zero.

I've seen this happening each cycle.

We all need to understand that 1st priority in crypto is surviving. Profits are in 2nd place. Yes that sounds counterintuitive, but it's really simple. The real skill is not in making money. The real skill is in keeping it.

I hope you found this useful. Keep up the flow, and may the force be with you.

Then tell me please which BTC investor had to watch all profits fall back to zero if they HODLed until this very day? You are talking about on paper profits, but there is always an opportunity cost coming along with dumping your precious BTC. I saw people watch their profits go to zero by selling, FOMO buying back in at a higher price for less BTC, then FUD selling less BTC for a lower price because BTC price corrected, then FOMO rebuying even less BTC with the left over cash during a trend reversal, you get the point if you continue this infinitely until someone is left with nothing.

The only things that fell back to zero are coins that are not called "Bitcoin". BTC is alive and kicking more than ever. If someone sold but didn't have to for any particular reason, blame on them. If they had to, it could still be blame on them if they went all in with money that wasn't meant to be invested for a longer period of time. Volatility is both a devil and a friend and a simple look at the charts tells you exactly that. If they were hoping to catch a good wave and then get out anyway, well, that's a different ball game. Go and play poker or roulette instead.

Taking profits is right if it fits your overall investment strategy and capacity best. It depends on your individual profile and whether divestment makes sense or perhaps recommendable. But in general, BTC has proven to be maximally resilient over the years. I still think a BTC investment is a roller coaster when you look at the charts, but it doesn't have to be psychologically for an investor if they know what they are doing / buying.
122  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: March 13, 2024, 04:17:07 PM
Have you ever met individuals with insane and brilliant ideas that got you wondering, how come he knows all this and it's not even reflected in his life? Some could give you real business ideas that could change a whole generation but that's all they can do, they can't bring it to reality and all their ideas only end on the discussion ground and never come to life.

I've met some of them and I must say, they are the backbone of so many successful businesses. Always with brilliant solutions to hands-on problems but can't put things together all by themselves to create a company of their own.

I believe nature is fair to all and while it gives some people that quality, others can bank from these brilliant ideas and bring it all to reality by supporting the ideas with the needed finance, resources, and coordination required to have a successful firm.

What do you think?

Your post deserves some merit and I am surprised nobody decided to send some over to you. This is a very relevant topic you opened up and I feel you put this very well together. Indeed, there are personalities I came across and was talking and couldn't stop wondering why they aren't already sitting in their own multimillion dollars headquarter in a big city with their own company. But you brought up some important aspects: there are people who are genius coming up with new ideas, sometimes even designing them in their head and providing a strategy of how they would approach the realization of a specific project, but they can't convince themselves to go for it, to risk to fail, to bear the pressure and uncertainty until their idea is finally fully converted into tangible reality.

I think there are a lot of thinkers that should make sure they match with the right doers at some point in their life. I believe most of us have gone through a time of being a thinker without grabbing the bull by the horns and then we let go of an amazing idea or maybe even concept. I have had that and sometimes I look back and wish someone listened to me and said: let's go, seriously we do this now!

A lot of people thinkers, not many people are outstanding thinkers / unique thinkers, and some people are doers, only very few people are outstanding doers. And only a very small fraction of the population fits into the intersection of being an outstanding thinker and outstanding doers.

But frankly, nobody has to belong into the category of being outstanding at thinking and doing. As many great CEOs have said, the most important thing is to know where to find those people to do the job for you and the fun part is that many of the people sometimes don't really know themselves that they are either good thinkers or doers or both.

Your post got me thinking, was surely worth a merit!

There is more information to this than just a coach who led Girona to the top of La Liga with his "cool hands". Girona is well financed. It is not a club that came out of nowhere and played its way to the top with mediocre players. They have invested big time in infrastructure and they have a well formed team within the club that understands how to build football teams. The City Football Group is backing it and they have the money to make sure that the coach stays if they want to keep him. By now the City Football Group owns 12 clubs worldwide. The chairman of Girona is so called Pere Guardiola, got it? Smiley The brother of Pep Guardiola. There are no amateurs at work.
That's the whole point of The City Football Group. They have "invested" heavily into these clubs, as in they are literally making their small transfers for them. Savio is going to City as a basically thank you from Girona, surely they are basically getting the most out of this deal, but they are benefiting.

Teams like Girona, Palermo, Troyes, and many more who are playing in their respective leagues, with backing from this group, and getting a huge amount of scouting network. When one player shines, the group basically puts that player in one of these clubs. It's literally a different way of having an affiliate club, you could just loan any player, but it is basically done in a new form. This helps build City to always have their pick of many players.

It is indeed a strategically interesting construct what they are building. Not only do they have all these clubs around the world, but also are they building these ties with scouting agencies and so on and so forth. They are building academies for young players as well. All of that can feed the biggest clubs they have with the best talents while players that are not immediately making it, can be sent to the other clubs for development. It would be interesting to know what the long term plans are for Girona and whether there is a hidden plan that one day Guardiola is going to have a say there. It would be a small project, but one that he could help develop from the ground up. But maybe it is nothing he wants to do.

Atletico Madrid know very well that a defeat could cost them their position and the last spot for UEFA Champions League next season since they have only two goals difference between them and Athletic Bilbao and the latter will face Alaves which is weaker than them.
Real Madrid and Girona have easy games too comparing to Barcelona - Atletico Madrid one so both these teams need a victory to secure its position and advance eventually. Odds are right now in favour of Atletico Madrid partially because they are playing home.

It wouldn't cost them their position just yet as they still have to play against Athtletic Bilbao and the good news for Atletico is that they play all the game against Barcelona, Girona and Bilbao at home. It would give them a much better position of course if they don't lose the game against Barcelona or in a best case scenario win it, but ok. They'll know that at least as good as I do. Wink

In the semifinal of the Copa del Rey, Bilbao beat Atletico 4-0 in aggregate, 3-0 at home and 1-0 in Madrid, which means that this is certainly not a safe strategy to trust in winning the game against Bilbao if they now fall behind in case of a loss against Barcelona.

If everyone wants Arsenal to get the title this season, I want Manchester City to get the title because I still believe that Pep Guardiola complete squad is still very ready to compete with Arsenal and repeat last season's events, displacing Arsenal towards the end of the season.
Looking at the Liverpool vs Man City stats I understand why the result was drawn. They both played evenly matched. Man City are good because they play at Anfield. Liverpool and Man City both made 6 shots on goal. Their possession of the ball didn't differ much either. Both teams are able to exploit weaknesses with opponents well. But with the current conditions I am happy with Man City's game. In fact, I like Man City as much as you do, so I hope Man City can win against Arsenal on March 31.

Yes but I think Liverpool had slightly more ball control and played better pressing than Manchester City. For obvious reasons this game took place on the highest level possible, but if you summarize all the stats and facts, Liverpool was a few percentage points better than Manchester City and I think they should have had two penalties instead of one. In the end it was a fair draw and both took the point and it was ok, but you could see that Liverpool was still upset about the final scene when their player was fouled in the Manchester City box. It wouldn't have been a wrong decision if the referee decided to give Liverpool that penalty.

I had to think twice while I was getting started with my answer. I don't even know whether investments in the agricultural sector are that feasible for young people who are looking into potential investments. It is probably not a sector that will keep growing for a long time as I believe at some point in time genetic technology will play a bigger role than it already does today.

Do you subsume any food production technologies under your so called farming and food related sectors? I assume yes and I think that's where things could become interesting again. Any advanced technology will be driven by younger generations at some point. Probably AI would take over when it comes to developing safe and effective genetic technologies.

After all, supply and demand will rule the (investment) markets and of course accessibility of these markets. At the moment my impression is that agricultural sectors are purely dominated by giants like Bill Gates and massive companies. They live off of the dividends whereas younger people look for investments that still have a lot of potential to grow. If it is about experimental technologies and breakthroughs, it's different as we have seen with some startups that exploded during the COVID crisis.

But in the agricultural sector, someone like Bill Gates owns so much that it is not important to him whether the share price increases. He makes billions from dividends alone, no matter whether the shares drop in price or increase price, whether there is a food crisis or not.
Certainly there are young people entering minority roles which could be a good investment in agriculture. The field of agricultural investment does require energy and mental power, discipline to develop. If we take these two categories, people can be successful if they understand algorithmic material. In the modern era, most young people are looking for investments that are not too risky, such as the crypto world, if you know the basic knowledge, this can be the main object

Quote
In the modern era, most young people are looking for investments that are not too risky, such as the crypto world,...

Lol, I am not certain how exactly you meant this sentence. A generalization à la "the crypto world" is not risky really made me laugh man! If you said that BTC can be a safe investment compared to other investments outside the crypto world, I would agree if we presume that someone doesn't go bonkers and sells his wife's marriage ring (like someone here on the forum said) or takes a loan and goes all in being neck deep in the water financially. Throwing this sentence out there that "the crypto world" is not risky, that's ridiculous!

It also doesn't make sense because where is reward there is risk, that is how it is. But it's true that this ratio "risk-reward" was skewed in favor of those who studied BTC early and understood it better than others. Indeed, those people came to the conclusion that the risk-reward ratio of BTC outcompetes all the ratios of any other investment opportunities. But since I believe that your "crypto world" includes all these altcoins, then I can only say that they are damn risky and that the risk-reward ratio is so bad that your statement they would "not be too risky" is plainly false.

You are right, Arsenal certainly feels happy leading the standings at the moment, but they are not at all safe because the points gap with the 2 competing teams is very close. Arsenal and Liverpool are only superior on goal difference, while they are only 1 point behind Manchester City. The pressure is still very high between the 3 teams competing for the title, so anything is possible because every match in the remaining season will be tougher.

Chelsea are currently leading 2-1 at home, but the match is still ongoing. The two teams played out a draw in the first half, but Chelsea improved in the second half and they took the lead again after Cole Palmer scored. There is still a lot of time to wait for the score or result of this match, but Chelsea's chances of winning the home game have increased.

This could end in a true photo finish and while so far Liverpool and Manchester City have been known to deliver each other a fierce fight, there is now a fourth club involved with Arsenal and I think they are more experienced now and will do better than last season. It is hard to tell whether any of the teams will mess up and lose a significant number of points on their way to the last match, but I doubt that Arsenal will suffer several stupid losses this time. It was almost the same last season for them, but yet they look to be playing more stable now.

Chelsea Just finished off Newcastle I think. I don't think there that is any chance to come back from being two goals down now. But the win is fair as Chelsea was stronger in this game although both teams aren't really playing for anything anymore. It's 13 and 14 points respectively. Maybe someone qualifies from the sixth rank. I think that's possible when Manchester City wins the Champions League and qualifies for it in the Premier League.

In the next season, whatever is still lacking in the Girona team, they can still improve because they remember that there is still a lot of time to think about it, while for now Girona must continue to fight hard so that they can finish this season in second place in La Liga because to survive in the matches that are still in progress. The remainder of this season will not be easy for Girona either. So they still have to make a little evaluation with the current players in order to maintain their position until the end of the season.
I don't think we need to talk too much about Girona, I mean their performance will never be the same again next season. There will be players who come and go, as will coaches, so changes in their strategy and opportunities next season are very possible. Think of Girona as a seasonal team that is only good this one season and returns to their habitat next season, unless they get a big investment from their owner.

Girona may need to maintain their performance until the end of this season and they will certainly need to improve next season if they want to compete for the title. But I wouldn't be at all surprised if they ultimately failed.

It is indeed rare that smaller clubs successfully establish themselves at the top of the best leagues in Europe. One such example that was expected to make the cut but did not was Newcastle United. When they played this strong season in 22/23, I thought they would take a lot of money and make a lot of right decisions to become a reliable top candidate in the Premier League. They are still not a bad team of course, but they are quite far below their level from last season. They got eliminated in the Champions League group, which I didn't expect either as I thought they could definitely beat Dortmund and AC Milan. It's not only about the money when new clubs are built, which I think Chelsea demonstrated quite well by now.

Even though his contract with Girona ends in 2026, it does not rule out the possibility of the Girona manager leaving next season. Girona impressive performance this season is certainly thanks to Minchel cool hands, he managed to turn a mediocre club into a trophy challenging club, which has been competing closely with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico since the start of this season's campaign. Due to his genius, clubs such as Chelsea, Barcelona, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are rumored to be interested in hiring him as their new manager, but in my opinion these rumors are not completely credible.

Meanwhile, if he gets a large salary from another club, of course Michel will be willing to leave. But it all depends on the decision, and Girona will definitely have difficulty competing in the top four next season, if the manager leaves. Liverpool and Bayern Munich may prioritize recruiting Xabi Alonso, while Chelsea and Barcelona could make Michel their new coach next season. If Michel wants a new challenge, moving to the Premier League and joining Chelsea is the right choice.
This is just a rumor but look at what he has done to make Girona very superior this season. Of course, there will be lots of offers for him from top teams so in my opinion it is very likely that he will leave because for a coach getting an offer from a top team is certainly very difficult to refuse.

However, whether or not the current Girona coach leaves next season, I think it will still be difficult for them to repeat what they have done this season. It is not easy to maintain the consistency of a team if they do not have really strong strength.

There is more information to this than just a coach who led Girona to the top of La Liga with his "cool hands". Girona is well financed. There is a huge possibility of younger or new generations adopting cryptocurrency investments compared to them getting interests on farming and food related sectors. What do you think? Does it have a good or bad effects on our economy?

Microstrategy finished the sale of its convertible bond.
Today they announced they used the proceeds of such a sale to acquire an additional 12,000 BTC.

They sold their own shares to buy Bitcoins.

I think people were wondering for a long time whether this impressively determined approach will work out, but seriously MicroStrategy / Saylor are so determined and transparent about their buying decisions that it literally turned into a buying signal for global investors when they announce their moves. They have really never left any doubt that they won't stop. They bought when BTC went up and they bought when BTC went down and sometimes the more BTC went up, the bigger the buys.

I never fully understood how they are able to mobilize that much capital, but they have taken advantage of any option possible to get their hands on more cash to buy more BTC. I assume there isn't much left to say except for congratulations to MicroStrategy. They have worked their way towards an amazing position in the BTC industry. Step by step, their own DCA so to say, just with a little bit more money compared to the average Joe! Cheesy

Girona have built a quality club and strong players this season. Girona is seven points clear from Atletico Madrid, and they are 2 points clear from Barcelona. Girona was able to score a second goal, after much effort which they put in to be able to find the back of the net the second time. Savio was able to take a shot on the 86th minutes to seal up their victory, and left their visitors hopeless, with no point in the match.

Girona have played 10 straight games at home unbeaten, and this is a good record for them. Osassuna was unable to score any goal and allowed their host to win them on clean sheet. Portu was the MVP of the match because he scored the first goal which made Girona to stay strong in the game, until the back up goal was scored.

It is not so much about the quality of their team. I think they do have a good team for sure, but they are going through some harder times and nobody underestimates them anymore. They were at 48 points after 19 games and then they lost some of their momentum, which on the one hand was to be expected, but on the other hand they couldn't afford it in light of how Real Madrid has been performing. I think the La Liga title was too much of a goal for them this season. But honestly if Real Madrid also signs Mbappe, I don't know who the heck wants to stop them in La Liga. While Real Madrid has players like Vinicius Junior, Bellingham and then perhaps Mbappe, Barcelona is trying to solve debt problems. This could have consequences in the long run. The world stars aren't considering Barcelona anymore at the moment. If they have the choice, it would be Real Madrid 90% of the time.

But putting all of this aside, Girona is playing an amazing season no matter what. They are competing with the top La Liga teams and yet they are maintaining their spot ahead of Barcelona and Atletico.

Speculation about Osimhen future is increasingly emerging, rumors of interest from several elite European clubs in the Napoli striker are very genuine, he is one of the best strikers at the moment. PSG, Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly interested in recruiting him, but there has been no official news so far. Joining a Premier League club will certainly make him more famous than moving to PSG.

On the other hand, joining PSG is also not a bad choice, as we have seen PSG win the Ligue 1 trophy almost every season, Osimhen can experience this domestic trophy every season while being the top scorer there. Mbappe departure leaves a hole that needs to be filled, Enrique certainly needs a proven striker to replace Mbappe, and Osimhen is the right player.

However, it is possible that Osimhen will remain loyal to Napoli and will choose to stay next season. The competition to get Osimhen signature is certainly very tough, especially if the club does not dare to spend a large amount of money to buy him from Napoli. I think only PSG and Chelsea will not hesitate to spend large amounts of money.

I am not questioning that PSG will probably win the Ligue 1 title for the next 20 years in a row... Cheesy But my point is that a player should usually be thriving for maximum goals and winning Ligue 1 really isn't such a goal once you have been praised as one of the best strikers in the world. If you are a top ten striker let's say, why the hell would you go to PSG and play in France? The answer is money. The highest you can achieve in club football is to win the Champions League and the Premier League. There were times when La Liga was the best league at least from the perspective of how hard it was to win. When Ronaldo and Messi played there, winning La Liga was incredibly hard because of that rivalry. Whereas in the Premier League the players are playing on the highest level almost non-stop during a season. If someone wants to compete with the best, I think the Premier League is still the number one league for top players.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does possessing information play an important role in betting ? on: March 10, 2024, 08:58:03 PM
If not based on information, upon what would you even place a bet then? Isn't the whole point in sports betting that you base your decisions on information that you think is sufficiently supportive of your picks?
-snip-
Yes, it makes sense, because some of the information needed will make some analysis that a club or a player will play well or not.
Such as internal conflict information or information on some injured players.

Some of this information is very important and will affect the course of the match.
The club or the best players can even make mistakes because there are several obstacles that make everything look chaotic.

The more information you get, it will be a reference to analyze who will win and be able to guess how your match went.
A sports analyst will crunch all the available information to find it all out.

That's true but the point in sports betting is to find odds that give you value for your money. The problem is that I doubt in the more popular sports that a gambler really has an information advantage over the bookmakers. This could be the case for niche sports, but the huge bookmakers certainly have analytics in place that understand quite well how to incorporate particular circumstances in a sports team into the odds calculation.

I can't talk about too many sports as only the big sports are my favorite, but perhaps someone is following a nice sport knows whether information pays off more than it does in the NBA or football or soccer. Injuries are publicly known and scandals as well, but it's not very often that I fins odds where I think the bookmaker is totally off. It does happen, but not too frequently.

Whatever someone thinks about Blackrock and others now trying to dominate BTC markets and derivative products and what not, it is still something positive in the sense that all the retail investors can ride the wave that these gangsters are creating. And they are certainly not in it to jump ship one or two years later. They understand that the market for digital value is scalable like nothing has ever been scalable before.

You might be correct that there are not as many of the ETF clients that are going to jump ship in one or two years, but they are still individuals, governments and institutions, they are not one monolith and the coins are not Blackrock's.  Blackrock is merely an intermediary that has to follow the exposure of their clients in regards to having to buy and sell the bitcoin to cover the sold BTC spot price ETF shares.

Ok maybe using a phrase like "certainly not" takes things a bit too far. No need risking to be wrong because of using absolute terms. But as you said, they are an intermediary that follows the money and I am sure chances are very high that the "customer base" will most likely only grow from here. I don't like to call people who own BTC customers, but here it does apply as they get served by an intermediary.

I am basing my assumptions on observations in my closer environment. When I see 12 years old kids talking about BTC and cryptocurrencies, what are the chances that they prefer another asset class like gold or art over digital goods? The only risk I see is that all kinds of worthless digital goods could dilute some of the potential for BTC specifcially. But BTC clearly is the real deal and every time someone burns their fingers with some worthless meme coin or NFT, I believe that most of them will learn the lesson and decide to hold a significant portion of BTC in their portfolio even at quite a young age.

We will still see cycles I think and I am realistic about the downside and upside potential in the short term. Could BTC's price be cut in half? It could, it has done that in the past and it might do it again in the future. But unless something really bad happens, like some algorithmic issues or a new technology that makes BTC obsolete (which I have no idea about what that could be looking like in the near future), I am very optimistic for BTC.

if his contract expires in 2025 if he doesn't hurry up to be extended it will be difficult. because if the contract time is almost finished, enthusiasts will quickly offer attractive salary and contract facilities. just like Mbappe who will leave on a free transfer at the start of next season to Real Madrid. besides PSG, many English league clubs are interested. if it's a free transfer, Barcelona will definitely be interested too.

PSG could be a good option for Osimhen although I am not a fan of Ligue 1. But he will certainly be paid a huge salary.

Though Mbappe leaving the club will make the club far less attractive for other players and for fans in general. These days it is still fun to watch PSG play exactly because of Mbappe. The goals he scored in the Champions League were once more unbelievable. His speed is impressive, his quick movements and finishes.

Osimhen is not on the same level, but he would be good enough to win the Ligue 1 title.

Girona finally managed to win over Osasuna and moved back up to second place in the standings by overtaking Barcelona. A series of bad results in the last few matches has not made Girona lose its position in the top four of the standings, which I think Girona will be able to maintain its position until the season ends. This victory put an end to concerns about their inconsistent performance in the previous few matches, goals from Portu in the 13th minute and Savio in the 86th minute helped Girona get an additional 3 points today.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid must remain careful in the next 10 matches, even though they currently have a sizable point difference. Girona can cut the distance closer if Real Madrid often draw, in short, Real Madrid position at the top of the standings is not completely safe. Because Girona will continue to press from the bottom while maintaining their position in the top four of the standings, as will Barcelona. Xavi squad must work harder to finish in runnerup position, they must continue to be consistent if they want to overtake Girona again.

It was a massively important win for Girona as they have been losing too many points recently, but now with this win I think that there is no way they will drop out of the Champions League qualifiers. Athletic Bilbao is now 12 points behind, but has one game in hand. Still though, given that Atletico is struggling, it is more likely that they will get under pressure than it is for Girona.

It is too bad that Girona has lost three out of their last five games, since Real Madrid has had three draws during that time. It could be much closer than it now is.

If not based on information, upon what would you even place a bet then? Isn't the whole point in sports betting that you base your decisions on information that you think is sufficiently supportive of your picks?

If you don't bet on information that you gather, why don't you just roll the dice? No information needs to be obtained and it certainly makes sense to just roll the dice instead of betting on sports events that you have no idea about.

I do agree that Liverpool is far better than the other three, but it feels like it is not such a big deal neither, this is europa and anything could happen, Liverpool could end up losing to Sparta too, I know very unlikely but what I am trying to point out is that they are not really getting anything just because they are a good team, they need to end up playing well enough for all of them.

I think we should consider the situation that may change, Liverpool is the best one but there is no guarantee so anything could happen. I still see Leverkusen as a big title contender as well they are doing so well so far and I think there is a possibility that they may end up with some troubles here and there if they are not really careful.
Far better? Don't you see Leverkusen, AC Milan, and AS Roma there?
I can agree if Liverpool is one of the top teams in UEL and will have a good chance to win the title. But I think Leverkusen, AC Milan, and AS Roma have a good chance to win title as well. Leverkusen, AC Milan, and AS Roma are strong enough to challenge Liverpool for the title. Specifically for Leverkusen, this team is still unbeatable until now.

Liverpool may have the chance to get some trophies/titles. But it won't be easy to get UEL trophy, there are some strong teams here. They may give a surprise for the next match. If they will play against Liverpool, they may defeat Liverpool if Liverpool isn't ready for the match.

Leverkusen yes, but I don't see Roma being on the same level. In my opinion Roma is not even close. They improved their game lately, but there is still a huge gap when you compare them to Liverpool. But I think we will get to see a nice test when Liverpool now plays against Manchester City. That's the toughest test a team can have.

However, I think in a final everything is possible. If Roma can manage to make it into the final, then I wouldn't assume that they are without chances. Playing a final is always different from playing league games.
140  Economy / Speculation / Re: When is next significant correction coming? on: March 06, 2024, 11:09:51 AM
Hi all!

We all seen what Bitcoin was doing for the past month and most of us would like to get some more Bitcoin. I was waiting for a good moment to do that for about 3 weeks and in terms of buying the dip it ain't looking good.

It was consolidating for so long now! Please share your thoughts on to when another correction may be expected?

Thank you and have a good day Smiley

Those times are over when I tried to figure out when the next correction might happen. I would rather stick with a consistent buying strategy and follow the most important rule: don't shift your precious BTC into altcoins (aka shitcoins)! If for some reason you get the timing wrong, buy at the ATH and then BTC dumps hard, you can almost be certain that a recovery will follow, but it may take some time. Just check out when we last hit the upper 60k range. That is like 2.5 years ago. Make sure you invest money you don't need in half a year and you are on a quite safe way with your investment. Shitcoins may never recover! There are some that will probably recover because they are on the BTC bandwagon. But 99.9% of the shitcoins you can find on coinmarketcap.com will probably never go back to their ATHs. If you play that game of jumping back and forth between BTC and shitcoins long enough, you'll probably end up with empty hands.

By the way, what do you even consider a correction? 3%, 10%, 50%? People like Michael Saylor (or MicroStrategy) are adding more BTC frequently. I doubt they would do it if they thought any significant correction could be possible in the near future. With significant I mean something like 25% +. We aren't even at a point where 10% is really significant. BTC is volatile and if it drops from 68k to 61k, nobody who has been around for a long time would be talking about a significant correction. It wouldn't make a huge difference for potential investors either. Whether you get in at 61k or 68k, if you are pursuing long-term goals the overall impact is most likely going to be quite little.
