Real Madrid is amongst the top four teams expected or projected to make it to the finals of the UCL without much doubts. They have held onto their champions league formula for winning and qualifying to the next stage without much hassle and that's what has made the difference in the team overtime.
Yes, of course, one of them is Real Madrid, which is the most favorite candidate to win the UCL trophy this season. Because after all, their performance conditions are quite good and consistent in the UCL. Moreover, if Real Madrid can really bring in the top players in the world of football in this transfer market. this will provide more benefits for them. At first I thought Man City would be the favorite too. However, seeing their current condition is quite worrying

Real Madrid is the team that I think deserves what define as the least requirement. They are so good at what they do! But whatever happens, we will have the discussion. At the moment they seem to be the closest to being the title favorite in the Champions League, but as soon as they clash with a team like Manchester City, I think it is 50:50 again. They need Vinicius Junior back and in the Champions League it is so important to have everyone on board.

Regardless of the judgement of whether he is a good coach or a bad coach I think for now it is not very useful.
The situation now is that Manchester United have failed in the group phase will not be in the Europa League play offs either because of their position at the bottom of the table which makes the EPL club's steps tarnished for the Champions Leaegue title because this season there are 2 representatives who do not qualify and are at the bottom of the table.

Manchester United seems to have definitely understood the current situation and it would be very naive if there was no action on this so I think sooner or later Ten Hag's position in the coach will not be safe at this time even though previously many Manchester United officials and legends still continued to support Ten Hag as coach but now it seems that this will be very different in terms of the results received by Manchester United at this time.

and some people still support him now. He has strange politics, I agree, but there is a feeling that MU can still compete for top 5 in the EPL, that would be a good result. I understand that fans want to win, but at the moment winning the EPL is almost unrealistic. Let's see what MU will show us in the match against Liverpool
He has his own privileges and indeed it seems that the higher-ups still really like Ten Hag which we know is very absurd even though as a football connoisseur (not as a United fan) we can see that what he has done this season has shown failure but there is still a lot of defence from the higher-ups which makes it a little complicated to stress that he must go.

For the Champions League at the moment we have found 16 clubs that qualify for the next phase but looking at the standings that occurred in the group phase, there are several clubs that I think this will be interesting in the drawing later because for position 2 currently there are names PSG, Inter, Napoli and Leipzig which I think this could be interesting for the knock out phase later because we will be presented with several big matches from the start.

Priviliges don't really count. It is about what someone wants to achieve and when people say that Ronaldo did it for the league, no. He did it for the money!

I don't understand why someone would think differently.

I just thought about Mbappe and if he got an offer paying him a billion a year and then he gives a press conference saying how much he loves Saudi Arabia and some people would still believe that he loves the country and doesn't do it for the money. That's delusional to say the least.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 14, 2023, 03:35:52 PM

This is where I fully disagree because Girona is structured differently than, for instance, Leicester City when they won the Premier League. Girona is built from the ground up with a successful future in mind. Does anyone here think that a miracle is happening in Girona?

The brother and advisor of Pep Guardiola owns the Girona Football Group and this group in turn owns 44.3% of Girona. This means the City Football Group and the Girona Football Group own almost 90% of the club. Now does anyone understand what is going on there?

I will make a bold prediction: the chance that Pep Guardiola will sign a contract with in the future with Girona is higher than zero! Smiley This club has a serious plan and what could be more profitable than establishing a football club in the top of La Liga that belongs to the Guardiola family?

Just because something has a chance of happening, does not mean it is going to happen. Just because there is a chance for Pep to sign a contract with Girona, and just because it is higher than zero, does not mean that he is actually going to do it. It again comes to the same thing like, just because it is possible doesn't mean it is probable.  And at the same time, just because Girona is performing well so far in this season, does not mean that they are actually going to do it consistently, especially throughout the whole season. Let alone in the next season.

Did you really take the time to explain that if the chance is not zero or higher than zero that it could happen, but it doesn't mean it will happen? Cheesy Lol, that's funny because you took my entire post and rephrased it with as many words possible...

Anyhow, I believe that Pep Guardiola would not be willing to sign a lot more contracts in his life as a coach. He was a coach for Barcelona, Bayern Munich and now Manchester City and he ruled out ever becoming a coach for Real Madrid.

I think this leaves him with two possibilities: become the coach of a club that nobody expects, which could be Girona and since his brother is deeply involved with the club, that makes it possible as there are also massive financial incentives. Or he becomes a national coach.

In this match with the Milan team, Newcastle United could not win despite working hard. Because I have a lot of pain for Newcastle United team at the moment, because Newcastle United team will not be seen in this Champions League again this season. Newcastle United and Milan have had plenty of rivalry games. Newcastle United shot a total of 17 shots at the goal post, and the Milan team shot 12. But after half-time, Milan went ahead with two goals. The Milan Team performance towards the last was very good, and the defense was strong enough to score goals offensively.

In the end, luck was still on Milan's side. When AC Milan wins, I hope Dortmund can also win the match against PSG. but the draw that was obtained meant that Milan chance at the UCL had to end. However, at least Milan can still continue competing in Europe's second league. UEL will also be a big challenge for AC Milan, because in UEL there is Liverpool who can be a tough opponent for AC Milan if they meet before semifinals.

I agree that luck often plays an important role in football. Even though the draw ended AC Milan's chances in the Champions League (UCL), there is still hope in the UEL. Competing in Europe's second tier remains an extraordinary achievement, and AC Milan has the opportunity to shine there.

and of course facing Liverpool in the UEL could be a big challenge. Liverpool is a very strong and experienced team at European level, and the meeting in the pre-final round will be a serious test for AC Milan.

Hopefully AC Milan meets Liverpool in the final so that we can remember Milan's golden era when they met Liverpool in 2 Champions League finals in 2004 and 2007 even though in 2004 Milan failed to win.

But I would not call this luck only in that game. Obviously, it was to be expected that Newcastle would control the most part of the game and have more shots and chances, but it wasn't as if AC Milan got dominated for 90 minutes. They had their chances, they had decent ball possession and they are still a top team that understands how to score out of a sudden when the opponent does not expect it. The goal was a classic counter attack played out very well by AC Milan. Well done and now they can compete with Liverpool in the Europa League.

Arsenal vs Brighton sounds tough and interesting, everyone will predict in favour of Arsenal cause what do you expect a home match, definitely they will attack Saka just like what Chelsea players did last time with Rice, Arsenal have every chance of wining this match and I'm sure they'll defeat Brighton.

Liverpool vs United, I know united fans has never loss hope in their players and they might deliver perfectly, have never supported Liverpool and I don't want them to be the tittle contender but the fact is they're really playing good this season every team they meet they'll always pressure, I can't predict for now.

I clearly see Arsenal as the favorite here as they haven't lost a single game thus far when they played at home and Brighton is quite average when they are playing away from home. I don't see much of a chance for them in this game. It could be a game with a lot of goals, but the best end result that might be possible for Brighton would be a draw in my opinion.

It is an important game for both teams as Arsenal wants to avoid to fall behind whereas Brighton has to collect three points to stay close to the qualification ranks in the table.

Just as I was about to rant about Guardiola playing roulette with my money on the line again, due to the the starting eleven he chose to start the game with, Hamilton just gave Manchester City a deserved lead with a stunning goal, he was super composed and the execution of goal couldn't have been done any better, I only just hope this goal will be enough to put Man City in the driver's seat for them to dictate the game the rest of the way.

Thanks to your post I had a look at the line-up and wow, Pep Guardiola is taking the word rotation seriously here. Cheesy

I am not watching the game and I didn't check any odds, but this one I thought could be worth taking a risk and bet on Red Star Belgrade or not? I wasn't sure how much Guardiola would rotate here, but I thought he would do several changes. In the first game they had it took Manchester City quite some time to score, that's why I thought that with a lot of rotation this won't be any easier for Manchester City to play that game at the Red Star stadium.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 13, 2023, 05:01:21 PM
If those who follow club football games are asked about their favorite club, then most of the fans will probably answer that their favorite club is either Barcelona or Real Madrid. If Barcelona and Real Madrid have so many fans, if Girona wins the La Liga title, the fans will probably not be too disappointed because they are used to winning trophies. La Liga will look more interesting and competitive when a new team wins the La Liga title. Apart from Real Madrid, Barcelona or Atlético Madrid, we never thought that any other team would ever win the La Liga title, but this season we may be looking at it. Girona are going according to plan from the start and they will have to go according to plan until the end. Ultimately, if things go according to plan, they could win the La Liga title this season.
That is the reason why there is a whole "smaller teams wins once" type of culture, and not even that happens all that much, Valencia in 2003-2004 is the last winner outside of top three, that should tell you how rare it is for anyone else to win. I am not saying Girona will not win, but even if they do, we all know it will be just one year for them. Same with Premier league, there are some good teams, stuff like Leicester city rarely happens and when it does, we see how it ended up for them in the end.

We need to realize that Girona has just one year that they can win, either they win it this season if they are lucky or if not then they are not going to be good at all and they will never have this chance again in the future.

This is where I fully disagree because Girona is structured differently than, for instance, Leicester City when they won the Premier League. Girona is built from the ground up with a successful future in mind. Does anyone here think that a miracle is happening in Girona?

In my opinion, Barcelona is making a big mistake in signing the Portuguese duo.
Atlético de Madrid asked for 80 million euros for João Félix, an absurd amount, even though I consider that Feliz is a player worth every penny.... however the value is still very high for Barcelona, which does not go through a good financial moment and could offer a maximum of around 20 million euros for the striker.
On the other hand, Manchester City does not intend to keep Cancelo, he was previously on loan to Bayern Munich and is now asking for around 20 million euros, a much more affordable amount for the Spanish, so I believe he is "Ok" for their needs and conditions at Barcelona.

We must remember, however, that Barcelona has been in a much worse financial situation in the past and only managed to get back on its feet with the arrival of Xavi and his desires to hire him, so I believe that the coach deserves a little more credibility. But you can't go wrong with these hires.

The Cancelo transfer makes a lot of sense in my opinion as Cancelo is a versatile player who can play various positions and he fits into the style very well as he has a high level of ball control and he likes to support offensive efforts of his team. He can take the position of a wing player when he decides to go for a run from the defense into the offense and he is fast enough to fulfill his duties both offensively and defensively. The price is also ok for a player of his level. I think he would play for most clubs, but for some reason Guardiola believes he would be mostly sitting on the bench if he stayed at Manchester City.

Felix is not worth every penny as you said. A player has to pay back with goals and he doesn't do it. I know that it is not about the number of goals every game, but Felix definitely doesn't score enough nor does he make a lot of assists to his teammates. If he is worth 80 million euros, something must be wrong. But Atletico will ask for that much as they have overpaid for him back then.

Copenhagen has just made a history today because they were can able to overcomes Galatasaray and finish at second place and automatically qualified to the next round and playing at their home Copenhagen playing slightly under pressure but during the match their defender players were displayed solid defense because although Galatasaray can able to threaten their defense several times but Copenhagen players still discipline and Lerager has became an the hero of Copenhagen because he can scored and help this team to collect 3 points

Galatasaray had quite a lot of chances but Copenhagen's defensive game was not easy to penetrate. especially after Copenhangen was 1 goal ahead, it was like a strong defense that couldn't be penetrated. a difficulty faced by Galatasaray. and they had to be satisfied because they lost the deciding match. at least they still have a chance to play off in the Europa League, they still have a chance to continue competing in the Europa League. and as for United, it was a nightmare for them who had to be eliminated because they lost to Munich. Quite a bad season for United.
Before the group matches started, many people said that United would be second, but we see that this is the UCL. There is a possibility that even Manchester United could come last here. With the European competition over, the only target for Manchester United should now be the Premier League. They played badly in all 6 matches. They fell well below expectations.

But this is more about a general problem that Manchester United has and not so much about the Champions League in specific. Their whole season is consistently bad, which is why I think many expectations were quickly adjusted as to whether Manchester United has a chance to get past the group stage. Now they messed it up completely and can't even play in the Europa League, but I don't know if that is a disadvantage for them or a well needed stop sign.

If the time has not come now, I wonder when it will come that the Manchester United management realizes they are going the wrong direction. There are no signs of life within the team, nothing. Everyone there should be aware that both the Champions League and Europa League qualification would be a miracle this season. They have some sad years ahead of them, taking into account that once this was the biggest club in Europe.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 12, 2023, 07:01:42 PM

De gea must become the best options for all of them but in fact that if everything totally depends on the various things. I meant that if de gea has no good history at the end of his career since manchester united was kicking him out. I see no points to use him as a new goal keeper for the newcastle. Unless the club will be trying to take a part on it. It's a risky decision from newcastle and i think that will better if newcastle is trying to get another goal keeper but de gea has a very good experience as a good keeper on MU for so many years. His experience was more than enough to make him play in the newcastle.

It seems like Newcastle likes to buy goalkeepers who have been sorted out at other clubs. In the case of De Gea, I don't know. But Newcastle has Loris Karius sitting on the bench as well who has not made a single game thus far if I am not mistaken. Is Newcastle looking for a new number 1 goalkeeper? I missed those news then, I only noticed that De Gea is still without a club and could be signed any time I suppose. They have all these old goalkeepers. For the long term they should try to find a great talent that will take the goalkeeper position for a long time. It is one of those positions where consistency is key more than anywhere else.

I think injury to Nick Pope has made them look after a very strong goalkeeper. Nick Pope have been exceptional for the Magpies and injury of Pope has made a huge dent in their squad. I think someone like Karius can be considered as a temporary change or in case of short term injury but I don't think it's a great choice for long run. Buying another goalkeeper will also be a waste as when Pope will return it will be hard to deal with excess goalkeepers then. I think best option is to see if there are some good goalkeeper in other team sitting on the bench and sign them for a short term or on loan.

I respect Loris Karius and I think he has been unfairly treated sometimes, but his quality isn't good enough for the Premier League. The mistakes he made in the Champions League when they lost the final against Real Madrid were extremely controversial as there may have been issues with his health after he got attacked by Ramos, but those mistakes burned into my mind and those were not the only mistakes. I think he could be a temporary solution as you said, or maybe he is able to surprise everyone and to play flawless for a long enough time. But if Newcastle has to go without Pope for 4 months,  it is probably better to be on the safe side here and add another goalkeeper. But finding one for long term planning is never easy.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 12, 2023, 04:04:56 PM
Nice won't be able to compete for the title. They are not second at the moment because they are so overwhelmingly strong and nobody could stop them. They are second because many of the games they played were finished with a happy ending for them. They are living on the edge with their one goal per game and then the (so far) impressive defensive performance. But this won't go on for the full 38 games.

The biggest issue I see is that I have no idea who could stop PSG in the league. But this is not only for one game, but for several games. It can't be expected that Nice finishes the season with 90 points. So whenever PSG loses points, Nice have to win them and I don't think they can have such a great level of consistency.
I think PSG this season's championship title is already theirs, because looking at the depth of the squad that PSG's competitors have, there is a huge difference in quality. Hoping that Nice will compete to win Ligue 1 is of course not an easy matter with the squad they have, Nice being able to consistently be in second place is already an extraordinary achievement for them.

I'm not underestimating other teams besides PSG, but the reality is it will be like that because as you said who can stop PSG at this time? Indeed, if they record once or twice they will definitely lose points, but what about other teams, they will definitely lose a lot of points because the match is still long, there are still 23 matches left.

Nice got good results with average to good performances. All the results have been close results. You could say that conceding so less goals and still winning with just one goal is a good performance and I agree, but in most cases it doesn't work out all the time and it becomes less likely to be successful when you are trying to stick at PSG's back when they are winning their games with big advantages. The margin for error is very small when you win games with a single goal whereas PSG can concede 2 goals and still win 4-2. That is why I am not very optimistic about Nice being a competitor for PSG.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 12, 2023, 03:33:12 PM
that's how it should be. As a coach who has led the team for a full season, Ten Hag should build strong relationships with his players. Such experience will give him an edge in understanding team dynamics and designing tactical approaches accordingly. and with the addition of new players this season who can strengthen the squad and meet the team's needs, Ten Hag should now be at a stage where coaching and developing certain aspects of the team's game and relationships is key to its success.
However, what happened to his discipline during training and bringing in the players he wanted, MU's performance never improved, I'm sure your problem lies with Ten Hag himself.

But I think it is definitely too late for building relationships with that team. The thing is if a coach wasn't able to build good relationships with his players that he has been coaching for almost 1.5 years, how would that change for the better in the next few months then? Ten Hag is not the type of coach who understands very well how to build relationships and give everyone a group feeling or group identity. He has been constantly separating the players either from the team, or players from some specific other players by supporting one player while attacking the other player, for instance both from the same position.

This team still have a very difficult job to do this season. Because even Manchester City are having difficult days and Arsenal - Liverpool - Aston Villa trio are benefiting from the situation great. Yeah even Aston Villa are in the title competition now thanks to Emery.  Smiley
I don't know what Aston Villa is doing in top 4 positions but the teams above them are doing good right now and teams under them are fluctuating badly including Manchester City!
Tottenham Hotspur followed Manchester City to break the bad records, otherwise in terms of goals, then Manchester United have the worst goals scored to goals received ratio with minus three goals and only 18 goals scored in 16 rounds! Comparing to the other teams, only 5 clubs have a worse scoring than them, from 15th position and so on.
Aston villa are really pushing hard for the title composition which I see that in them, I have much confidence in them because they have defeated all the strongest teams we have right now. If Aston villa can continue I believe they will land themselves in champions league zone. I don't expect Chelsea and Manchester United in the europa zone because of their performance, but Tottenham Hotspur is capable of making it, they are just left behind because of injury challenges and I believe if the squad is fully back they can make a difference.

What's really blowing me away is their record for the home games. They truly are operating a fortress in their home stadium! Cheesy They won 100% of their games there and it is not just that they won those games, but how they destroyed most of their opponents there. Although I saw that Liverpool also has a perfect record for their home games. Now they will have a couple of games against weaker opponents, except for maybe Manchester United in two weeks. But if they continue like this then the game against Manchester United could be some big points for them as they can increase the distance to Manchester United and leave them behind once and for all for this season.

In the previous match, Nice lost against Nantes, but this result did not make them fall into decline and they managed to recover in yesterday's match against Reims by winning 2-1. This is a very important home win when they have the opportunity to compete to win the title this season with PSG. With the additional three points, Nice continues to close behind PSG in the standings with a distance of 4 points.

Maybe Nice should practice by improving their attacks because we know this team is not very good at winning matches by always relying on a thin lead and that's not good when their opponents can put pressure on them and leave them in a deadlock.

Nice won't be able to compete for the title. They are not second at the moment because they are so overwhelmingly strong and nobody could stop them. They are second because many of the games they played were finished with a happy ending for them. We are about to reach the half of the season and Girona are in the lead in the standings now. That win over Barcelona was magnificent. I didn't give them a high chance to win honestly but that 4-2 win was a solid answer to me. Girona are currently the most productive team in the league as well with 38 goals. They are really trying their best to be a part of this title competition.

Their being able to maintain their presence in this competition makes me thrilled. However I'm curious about whether they will be able to keep the same level in the second half of the season as well. If they do so I can't imagine how amazing it would be for them to even win the league title.  Grin

I bet to differ here as I thought that Girona does very well have a chance against a Barcelona that is not in great shape to say the least. Ter Stegen is gone and Lewandowski is not as good of a striker as he used to be. He is far from being the genius he was when he still played for Bayern Munich. Gavi is out for a while, too. Overall results are relatively bad and they have shown weakness in the Champions League when they lost against Shakhtar.

Girona is literally flying these days. They are hyped, motivated and they are extremely efficient in scoring goals. Half the number of attempts, double the number of goals and they have no Lewandowski. Barcelona in my opinion is out of the competition for the title. I don't think they can step up their game. I know it is early, but I think this will be Girona vs. Real Madrid for the title.

In my own opinion, I think it was after the English football authorities stripped Everton of ten points for violating the financial fair play  that they started performing to their full strength as a club. Many were expecting them to struggle to remain in the English Premier League after those points deduction or probably be relegated at the end of the season but from in less than five matches after that incident, Everton are out of the relegation zone and are looking comfortable in their current position in the English Premier League. They defeated Chelsea today in a match many had predicted that Chelsea were gonna win and if they continue with their current form, Everton is likely to finish the season in the top half of the league table despite the going through the pains of points deduction.

You know what? I completely forgot about the 10 points penalty. Don't ask me why, but I didn't recall that whenever I looked at the table and saw Everton struggling so hard. Of course they should be at 23 points now, which would be perfectly ok for them. This shows how tough the penalty actually was as they would be fully safe in the middle of the table now. Imagine they would be 14 points ahead of the relegation zone instead of 4 points and without these 4 wins out of 5 games they would be screwed.

I am still awaiting other judgments, for instance for Manchester City. It is surprising to see a smaller club like Everton getting caught and also penalized whereas the big and wealthy clubs seem to be able to do whatever they want and nothing ever happens. This was quite existential for Everton.

Erik Ten Hak do have a big responsibility in training Manchester United to perform well in their second season,, but he has a big problem because a number of players have begun to show resistance and not play optimally in several matches. The opportunity not to qualify for the round of 16 can trigger fans to voice Erik Ten Hak the to get out of Old Trafford because they increasingly do not believe in the ability of the Dutch passport coach. A number of decisions taken by Erik Ten Hak are completely confusing because he always rotates players when Manchester United is superior

Manchester United have just suffered defeat in the league when facing Bournemouth and the good news is the condition of Bayern Munich is also not good when they travel to Old Trafford because it has just been slaughtered by Frankfurt in a shame, so the morals of the players of the two teams are not in good condition, but Manchester United is more benefited because Play in the cage itself.
Munich lost their last encounter with Frankfurt, so it's definitely going to have an impact in their UCL faceoffs tomorrow against United, either positively or negatively. The both teams lost but Munich lost away from home and United lost at home. Of the both teams, Munich is the better side and their winning chances are high too. United have not been consistent and this season they've not actually been in their average form. Tomorrow's game is important and it still doesn't rest on just their shoulders. The outcome of the entire Group A games would determine the fate of every of the teams in the group.

Munich will be the visitors tomorrow and at this time, United have the advantage but will the outcome of their last EPL home game affect their mental preparedness and confidence in the game? Even if Munich are a better side, it's only left for United to capitalize on being the host to make the difference, and then pray that Galatasaray and Copenhagen result ends in their favor too. But still, for me I'd only advise Ten Hag to do his best and leave the rest, his chase should be majored on the domestic league cups and securing a ticket to next season's European contests too. But we definitely hope to see that they advance through to the next stage of the contest.

I am not sure what to think about that game against Frankfurt and its impact on the game against Manchester United. It could also be a sign for Manchester United that there is a possibility to beat Bayern Munich. Everyone knows that Manchester United is out of shape, but still seeing how Bayern Munich played, I think that can only feed Manchester United's optimism.

It's also the question how Tuchel wants to approach that game with his team. Does he care about winning it? Will he tell his players to give their maximum? It could be a lots of approaches possible. He would not want to risk any injuries but at the same time a loss could be bad for their mental stability. Losing against Frankfurt and then perhaps against Manchester United would feel like a mini crisis for them.

I agree that failure to qualify for the round of 16 or into the Europa League would be the end for Ten Hag. United need different leadership, someone who is smart and more charismatic to create a warmer dressing room environment without any bickering.
Whilst i agree that Erik Ten Hag would be fired sooner or later, i don't think he'd be sacked during the season, maybe at the end of the season. The hierarchy at United would know that sacking Ten Hag mid season wouldn't really help the team, but it would completely flatten the team, and they'll not even have enough time to find the right manager.

Ten Hag has been so poor in handling the dressing room, he has a problem with player management and i don't even know what his footballing philosophies are, he is an average manager at best and he'd prolly go in the summer.

Erik ten Hag made many mistakes in Manchester United and Sancho was one example also this coach doesn't want to accept the mistakes he had in this team and that's not good but don't forget that Erik ten Hag was the coach who joined Manchester United while they were in the trouble situation and Ten Hag was the person who helped them to get improved in the last season and take the Champions League ticket for this season otherwise Manchester United could have even worst situation.

Last season wasn't a masterpiece either, but Manchester United was able to finish the season with a good result because many other teams didn't perform as expected. The most prominent example is Liverpool and Tottenham and that is why Manchester United was able to qualify for the Champions League. Right now I don't see them as having the potential anymore to finish the season top four. Just look at Aston Villa, which in my opinion is much stronger that Manchester United and now consider what it would take for them to stay at the top. They would have to outperform several top teams. I believe that they will finish the season in the midfield of the table.
