What is happening with Atletico Madrid?

I write right now in the Champions League thread about them, because i was having high hopes of seeing them winning against Inter Milan, but man they are playing horrible right now. And they are not longer so effective in defense like in the past, seems like they are suffering so much for not having Griezman in the starter 11.

Que Sera Sera! It's actually what it is right now.

One would ask himself if it's the same people that want to be facing against Inter Milan during the upcoming Champions League Competition. Is it that the competition is too difficult?
Atletico Madrid fans are helplessly hoping for that changes, they helped fueled the movement but has gradually reduced form this season. I'm certain they're not go past near that nominations they all. Want to be there so they could open up them bibles and read quick.

Those two goals scores are normally great goals and the name fits in quite well that scored them. they're not luck but we'll plotted and carried to the finals. They meetings

Manchester United was lucky to get a complete three points in the match, two penalties is indeed a luck for Manchester United and with the performance displayed by Everton, I must say that it is a lucky game for Manchester United because Everton had better chances and more shots on goal than United in the match, but they couldn’t convert any of their chances and Manchester United won at the end of the match.

Manchester United is already in the Europa League zone, they are trying to make the position strong or even make attempts to overtake Tottenham and Aston Villa if possible to be able to qualify for the Champions League which to some extent will be hard because I am thinking that Tottenham will be the right team to secure the fourth position since they have two matches outstanding to be played before been compared to Manchester United’s points due to the number of matches they have played.

Call it luck, call it blunders, bash Manchester United, the beautiful thing about the day today was that, three solid points they did achieve. Thanks to the both penalties awarded to Ale Garnacho. I think he has adapted quite well in both sides of the flanks for Manchester United.
Both Bruno Fernandez and Marcus Rashford needed them goals tonight so it could be a big boost for them in the remaining games left ahead to play.
Everton might have played well but Manchester United got the three points, Andrea Onana with them clean sheets yet again and a free night to tell Jim Radcliffe and his team to get Erik Ten Hag the fit squad to fight for the Premier League Competition next season. Let's not forget this coach qualified Manchester United for the Champions League Competition for the very first time and also finishing top three in his very first season.

For the gunners, Consistency is all that matters, they did pretty well in the month of February scoring 30+ thirty plus goals for the club and made sure they're not so reliant on a one man striker. Thanks to Kai Havertz from Chelsea. Chelsea made good fortune, but it seems like Mikel Arteta has already figured it out from the German National midfielder.

Listen, I don't know if you guys have noticed it or not, but Ten Hag always wanted to make Manchester United into Ajax 2.0. he was a fraud, ask Emma.

You know, Cristiano Ronaldo was able to see that very early. That is a reason why I believe Cristiano Ronaldo was forced out of the club.

Of course, Cristiano Ronaldo also did not like the owner of Manchester United. Actually, Manchester United fans have been wanting the owner to change for quite sometimes now. But when Cristiano Ronaldo said that out loud, everyone started pointing fingers at Cristiano Ronaldo saying he did too much.

there is a great relationship between the owner and the current coach, that's why he is still the coach.

About the players, I am just going to talk about Onana. At certain times he does make good saves. But at certain times it seems like a 12-year-old could do better than him. De Gea must be laughing watching this right now.

Why on earth would David De Gea laugh at the current status of Manchester United? He was one time Manchester United player and wouldn't want to mock sthem in this situation. This might still be wrong though. Take a good at the good sides of Andrea Onana, don't let your dislike for a player cloud your judgment.

There's no fauckin relationship between Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United old owners ( Glazers ) Still breaks my heart why they failed to sell the club the Saudi Arabians.

Cristiano Ronaldo also had his own bad side of this story, as he failed to report early to Manchester United training and Pre season, in his quest for a new club which did not come correct. Yeah, he was disrespected by Erik Ten Hag and deserves an apology but he should have reported when other players did. Ronaldo has never been the problem, Erik Ten Hag only wanted set of players he can control within and carefully.

I think Hojlund deserves to win the EPL best player award for February and he achieved this when he managed to give Manchester United victory through his goal contribution. We know that Hojlund has been very productive lately and in almost every match he always scores a goal and that also indicates that Erik ten Hag made no mistake in recruiting him from Atalanta last summer.

Now Hojlund has collected 7 goals from 20 appearances with Manchester United in the EPL and perhaps these statistics are not fertile enough for a striker but what is clear is that he did it in the span of a month while scoring these goals.

Currently Hojlund is still absent due to an unforeseen injury and maybe we will see in a few weeks. I hope Hojlund can finish this season with 15 goals and that will be a good start to his career at Manchester United. One more thing, hopefully the injury he suffered will not affect his improving performance.

Couldn't think of a better name to win the Premier League player of the month award other than him, I'm glad they did give him irrespective of the fact that Manchester United are currently facing lots of challenges right now. Alongside him was also Kobbie Mainoo who won the Premier League goal of the month, as he gave Manchester United that winner against Wolverampton. What a top lad as he also becomes the youngest player in the Premier League Competition to win this award.

I can't determine how many he would convert at the end of the Premier League Competition, bit i do hope tney get to create more goal scoring opportunity for him to bang in those goals.

Getting Injured could fuel him up and also pull him down. I meant to say drop his form. If he is mentally strong he would definitely fight and find himself back in the squad. The lengthy conversation he had with Robin Van Persie must have impacted some intelligence into the lad.

Nice just couldn't get a single win in the league for five weeks.  Sad  Three of them are losses. They immediately need to improve their form somehow. The Montpellier game can be seen as an opportunity to put an end to this bad streak but I still have doubts though. Because Nice couldn't even win a home game against Clermont recently. This should also explain their current condition.

Nice have literally scored less number of goals than the number of games they have played so far (23 goals in 24 games). If the statistics doesn't change positively for them I think they might not even qualify for any tournament.  Sad  I hope Nice manage to win today.

Both of these clubs have won same games lost same games and drew same games, as much as you want to see Nice win tonight, you have to also observe the both sides are currently having same form, which makes it difficult for anyone of them to come out victorious and with all three points.
My best pick for this game tonight would bebfir both of the clubs to draw this game.
For Lens and Brest, I'd go for either of them sides winning. Lens was my best club from last season if I must say as they qualified for the Champions League Competition for th very first time, though they couldn't do so well in that Competition and got knocked into the UEFA European Europa League Competition. It's anyways bets on Brest to win tommorow or draw, they are in a hot form.

Kylian Mbappe and Per Emerick Aubameyang to score in this round of the League 1 Competition is something I'm predicting.

Leverkusen is bound to have a few games like this eventually, you can't expect a team to be constantly winning everything, that doesn't really feel like a possibility in most cases. We saw them have this tough game, and it was against an unexpected opponent, but we also know that this is the same team that beat Bayern 3-0 as well, so not like they are suddenly terrible, nor does that mean second leg will still be tough for them, they will probably just have an easier game there without a trouble.

Overall, this was the fluke that was expected, each team, no matter how good they are, will have a few of those during a season, and this was theirs, now that it is out of the way, I would say they have a better shot at everything.

Bayern Leverkusen did jump back into the game to share points and it was unexpected. If I'm not wrong, they won the both games they played against Qarabag during the group stage anfwon both legs, they must have learnt some lessons from that lose and made sure they made life tough for Bayern Leverkusen yesterday at home.
When they traveling to Bayern Leverkusen next week, it'll definitely be a winning game for Bayern Leverkusen as they will be well prepared for what is to come.

Ac Milan also got a good night at least having that marginal of goals can be a good backing in anticipation of the second leg of this exact fixture, I'm pretty sure of AC Milan qualifications. As for Brighton, they've now lost three consecutive game under Roberto De Zebri for the very first time.
They don't have a good chance of survival for the next round, As Roma are doing better than we thought. One team doing well in this Competition has to be Marseille, Per Emerick Aubameyang has been a good source of goal.

If I may ask this question, whenever a football team is performing bad, who is the first person that is supposed to be blamed?
  • The coach
  • The players
  • The management
If you can answer the above question honestly, you will understand the whether you are doing the right thing to vindicate pochettino. Honestly Poch saw the situation of Chelsea Football club and the quality of players they have before he agreed to sign a deal with them. The new very well that he was not coming to meet an excellent team rather to build the team. It is obvious that is attempts to build the Chelsea team as not yielded the result. Abandoning Chelsea at the end of the season will only stain his career the more. Remaining in the club for another season is also not guaranteed for him because the Chelsea management knows too well how to dismiss coaches. It is just like a dilemma to him and I did not know the decision that you will make by next season.

Mauricio Pochetino from the start I've said it is yet again another failed manager Chelsea would be test running, as much as I wanted him to achieve something with Chelsea considering his past trophyless stay with clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint Germany. He was head coach from the start of the fucking season but found it difficult to to get his first eleven.  Won't be extending much faults on him though because he never had a natural central forward and also Injury affected the squad. I wished they was able to keep the consistency they had when Chelsea faced Manchester City during the first half of the season.

The management did what they should have done, and they was responsible for all of the signatures. A good coach wouldn't seen the job different or difficult though.

And blaming these players would be fuckery, A good coach would bring out the best in these players, they're great signatures in Chelsea all they need is a top quality manager for the club ahead of the new season.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 08, 2024, 12:52:58 PM
Fighting and beating Porto in the second leg should be able to prove for Arsenal in the Champions League which is indeed they are underestimated, for now Arsenal must be able to optimize the second leg in order to continue their journey in the Champions League this season, seeing Arsenal's performance in the league which is so very spectacular, of course, is inversely proportional when they played in the first leg and were defeated by Porto in the final minute Match.

What you are saying is true that the atmosphere between the Champions League and the Premier League is very different and maybe even the journey of a club in the Champions League will be more difficult than they play in the league, but somehow when I see Arsenal play at home I am quite sure if Arsenal will be able to beat Porto, Arsenal home record this season is quite good and even they perform quite solid when playing at Emirates Stadium,  I don't think we can underestimate Arsenal just because they lost 1-0 in the first leg, especially when we saw often Arsenal make surprising comebacks when playing at Emirates Stadium so far.

First, we must not forget that FC Porto in the Champions League are one of the European greats and big sides. As much as Arsenal has a good home form, they will still go through challenges to get the win against Porto. They did well though when they played the first leg of this fixture. The Goalkeeper David Rays should have done better to save that game though. In the Premier League, he has gradually silenced all of these haters and criticisms he's got from all the media and pundits, the defense has also helped complemented his saving skills.

I can vouch for Arsenal in the Premier League Competition, but in the Champions League. They're not good, they may likely survive this round but the next? I pray they don't meet a club like Bayern Munich yet again in the next stage. Lol.

With history, we've seen that they're nothing but bottlers even in the Champions League, I don't know if Mikel Arteta would be the man to lead them to glory.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 08, 2024, 12:21:57 PM
Real Madrid is not as perfect as it seems because I think they are still too risky in defense and also in attack. They don't have a good center forward even though Vinicius and Rodrygo can help, but if Bellingham doesn't have goal productivity like now then Real Madrid will really have a hard time dominating La Liga.

Ancelotti seems to have succeeded in positioning several players not in their original positions so far this season, this was done because several important players suffered injuries, especially in defense. The Champions League tends to be tighter and Ancelotti should have good options, even if so far Real Madrid have managed to progress to the quarter-finals.

Yeah I agree with you, Nacho Fernandez has not been a good replacement since the absent of David Alaba due to Injury, that one thing to look at as they go on to chase the Champions League. And also they was rather too defensive during the game against Leipzig on Wednesday night.
The usage of Camavinga, Toni Kroos, Aurelien Tchouameni and lastly Valverde was just too defensive for a big club like Real Madrid. Carlo Ancellotti shouldn't do same as they go on during league fixtures amd also Champions League Competition. Pairing Luka Modric and Jude Bellingham in the first half shouldn't have been a bad idea, so Jude Bellingham could be free to join attacking duties while Luka Modric play behind him to help with his vision and Creativity.

I'm glad he has set a great point gap between themselves and the rest of them clubs in the top four. Love what Jude Bellingham is doing, his first debut season has been perfect, glad to see him holding that iconic jersey well. He is indeed Real Madrid bound.

Yes, of course losing Harry Kane will not make it difficult for Ange Postecoglou to rotate his players because there is still Son who can be relied on and managed to occupy first position, even if only temporarily.
I have various reasons why I say that I believe in Tottenham's victory because we look at it in terms of injured players, maybe it is equal because both clubs lost several main players to injury and even though Aston Villa has Ollie Watkins, Tottenham also still has Son who is ready to become a fighting machine. score.
Aston Villa will indeed be very strong when playing at home and their defense will even be stronger, but Ange Postecoglou's troops will never have difficulty in terms of high passes because several times I have seen Tottenham players being able to score with high passes like that.

What makes Tottenham a little doubtful is their defense, even though they can score, I'm not sure the defense can withstand Aston Villa's attacks.
What do you think ?

They both parted ways even before the Premier League kicked off, they didn't even get to work together on the training ground together so I don't see the why you'd bring Harry Kane into this.
Though the South Korean Son, Richardlison and Johnson are thriving to fill up well for that role left by Harry Kane. Scoring twenty goals and more is something Harry Kane had always done consistently, as I don't know who would be able to do that.

I believe the game would end as a fulltime draw game, I see no winners at the end of ninty minutes. Though, within the last five meetings, Aston Villa seems to have seen more victories than loses.
Difficult to give my own opinion about them defense, but I know they have James Madison to open them up with his creativity. They've really missed that early form he had before getting Injured.

Olie Watkins currently in a red hot form and could definitely be that man for Romeo to keep a close eye on.

It is common knowledge that Ten Hag always prioritizes players from the Netherlands. I don't know what to say, but I think Man United needs to make a change from ridiculous purchasing principles like this. Ten Hag must be stopped because if he continues to be left as he is, there will no longer be an ideal combination of players at Man United. Antony, Martines and Onana, Eriksen became Ten Hag as if they wanted all of them to be filled by Ajax players. Honestly, I don't like this way of purchasing a little.

Zirkzee? damn again and again

What are you saying? These players he brought in are player's he can vouch for, yes most of them are not doing as most Manchester United fans expected but that don't mean Erik Ten Hag us doing something bad. Whats with the sporting directors? Do you think it's one easy thing to be a manager under the glazers? It's high time Manchester United fans stop blaming managers, the environment has been uncomfortable for managers over the past years.
If the sporting directors and technical directors are working then they should have done then job when Erik Ten Hag laid down his system and project.

Anthony I'd agree has been nothing near good. Only thing I can remember from him has got to be the winner against Barcelona during the Europa League Competition and also his debut goal for Manchester United against Arsenal. Asides that, he has been nothing but a huge flop and showboating player. As much as Manchester United wants entertainment, they need direct and decisive players when attacking.

I don't need talk much about Lisandro Martinez, but whoever bash or lash out on Lisandro Martinez knows nothing about football. Andrea Onana also not doing badly as well. The lad has the second most clean sheets in the Premier League, Maybe fans are too blind to see the good in him. Christian Eriksen can leave, after his heart surgery, I don't expect much from him anymore. The words of Ralf Ragnick from.the past would be great to finally see happening, most of these players including Marcus Rashford and others should be sold.
492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 07, 2024, 09:22:14 PM
I think the last spot of top four will belong to Bologna or Roma at the end of the season. Which one do you think will be able to make it?  Smiley

Both of them have been on a really good run firstly. Especially Bologna haven't lost any point for six weeks. However they are going to play against Inter in two days which shows they could be in serious trouble. But actually Bologna could still have a chance to collect at least one point. Because Inter have their rematch in the Champions League four days after this game. A rotation is possible to be seen because of that. Meanwhile I think Atalanta's job against Juventus is quite difficult and they could lose.  Sad

As Roma, Atalanta, Napoli, Fiorentina and Lazio are not so far from themselves you see, it's still open and available for those clubs who definitely works hard so they could finish up. I would love a chance for Bologna honestly but it seems like Napoli would come in with a lot of wave to snatch the too four.
Failure to qualify for the Champions League Competition would be a direct passage for players in Napoli to finally leave.

Same goes with Juventus and Ac Milan as they're not so far apart from themselves both. Juventus indeed would want to replace Max Allegri for he has also contributions related to the success of the Old Ladies ( Juventus )
Atalanta also should let go of their head coach finally. He has been in charger for more than four years but yet again, no much lucks for em.
493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 07, 2024, 08:41:35 PM
Recover in what sense? Aston Villa have three wins in their last three games, and even though there were two defeats before that, overall the results are good since they are now alone in fourth place. If they win against Tottenham, then getting into the top four will apparently be guaranteed. But the quotes for this game are very random:

2.37 - 4.02 - 2.53

Last year Aston Villa finished 7th and they are obviously in a better position than a year ago and considering that they are ahead of many big clubs they are doing great.

Lol, Aston Villa are obviously one of the best sides in the Premier League Competition this very season.

Impressed with that last no three wins they've had, most puzzling yet interesting was that game almost lost to Luton Town while on the road but the late winner from French international Lucas Digne gave them all of the three points to go home with during that game. Two defeats came against Manchester United and Chelsea during the Cup Competition games. It's not like they're doing too much this season thus.. Unai Emery must be proud.

The Odds are damn deceiving, but I want to dwell on the game ending as a fulltime draw result. T's obvious the game would be difficult and points would be shared.
Aston Villa should be able to qualify for the Champions League Competition next season uf tbryncan be consistent from here and ahead.
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: March 07, 2024, 08:26:29 PM
Up until the 40th minute Bayer Leverkusen were trailing Qarabag 1-0 and yes, although there were still plenty of opportunities for Bayer Leverkusen to turn things around in this match. But yes, that I am quite surprised also with this kind of result because anyway, based on the statistics available so far this match that Bayer Leverkusen did not play well. Afterall, Qarabag who has had 3 shots on target, but Bayer Leverkusen has absolutely no shots on target up to the 40th minute. I'm afraid Bayer Leverkusen underestimated Qarabag too much that Bayer Leverkusen might lose this match, and if Bayer Leverkusen really can't win this match then ofcourse it will be a very surprising result . Because yes, if that happen then in the end Bayer Leverkusen's unbeatable match streak was stopped by Qarabag, a team that was not considered to be able to provide good resistance to Bayer Leverkusen.
Qaraba might make history tonight, as they are on the lead of 2-0 against Leverkusen to end the first half. Juninho score the second goal on the 45+2mins of the extra time after he got a counter which he was able to hold on to the ball, dribbled the goalkeeper, and netted the post.

If Leverkusen did not win this match, it means that it is a bad night for them, because they will lose their unbeaten record and will have high chance to be out of the league. I guess that we overrated them too much. If they are kicked out, it means that the winner of this season league will be unpredictable because football is full of surprises

I was already saying this would be them first defeat of my the season and these lads turned the game around, I still don't know how they did that during the last few minutes of the game cake to conclusion. Lol, they're so fckkn stubborn and has also decided not to lose a single game.

Liverpool showing working ahead of the game against Manchester City, who should go home with all three points I can't say but I'm sure it'll be a tough game to see. It would definitely be a battle between Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez who is currently in a high form this season.

I knew Brighton would not be able to withstand As Roma. The management indeed made a good decision sacking and also appointing De Rossi, he gives me same vibes Xabi Alonso gave me when he took over the job last season.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: March 07, 2024, 07:08:42 PM
It is true that Mourinho wasn't fully allowed to do what he wanted at Manchester United. However that wasn't the point I wanted to underline. Even if he was allowed his style is just boring to watch for me. He is still caring about defense more than offense. We have seen many examples while he was managing Roma also.

But now Roma have started to be much more productive and to get better results after De Rossi's taking over.  Smiley  It is more enjoyable to watch their matches now as they are playing positive football. I think Conte can really be given a chance by Manchester United. I feel like they won't be regretful.  Smiley

Jose Mourinho did win Manchester United the UEFA European Europa League Competition but still on Manchester United played badly the following season.
He's tactics are too much for n the defensive and that has never been the system of  Manchester United all these years. The last coach to play in that Manchester United pattern all these years has got to be Ole Gunner Solskjaer, but he was tactically inept and more a poor coach, he has chances of winning Manchester United a trophy but last decisions to go in for the penalties made him lose the game.

Believe me too, there was a time Sir Alex Ferguson was also under pressure, but he turned the pressure in winning trophies. I really do hope Erik Ten Hag can be backed.

For Roma under De Rossi, they're buzzing and gradually they could achieve the spot in the top four if Bologna and Atalanta are not serious with themselves.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 07, 2024, 06:55:49 PM
Victor Osimhen is one player that's shown that he can actually succeed in any of the top clubs in Europe if he finally gets a chance to play in any of them and considering his records since he joined his current club Napoli, I think he'll surely make a good signing for any of the top clubs in England so I think it'll be a good move for any of the top English Premier League clubs to go for his services at the end of the current season.

Rumor already has is that some of the top English Premier League  clubs are already trying to secure his signature. Some of the rumoured clubs are Chelsea, Manchester United and even Arsenal football club and for someone that's been following the English Premier League, I think joining any of Chelsea or Manchester United will definitely be a bad move for the Nigeria striker. Chelsea in the last two seasons have been absolutely awful and so is Manchester United and that's why I would suggest he joins Mikel Arteta's Arsenal who have been doing well in the last few seasons especially in the English Premier League. Again, with Chelsea and Manchester United, playing in the UEFA Champions League competition will likely not be possible for Victor Osimhen so it'll be better he joins Arsenal who will definitely guarantee him European Cup football

This season I've come to watch him go against two of the top sides in the history of La Liga and he did well funny enough. Against Real Madrid and Antonio Rudiger came online to talk about his strength on the pitch. Against Barcelona during the first leg, he was able to salvage a point out of the game for Napoli. Last season he was also highest goal scorer for Napoli as he was able to score twenty six goals for Napoli to help them win the Scudetto Tittle Competition. Thanks also to the togetherness and good management of Spalleti.

Chelsea I believe is the best destination for the Nigerian International. Both Didier Drogba and John Mikel Obi are both fighting to see that he becomes the next man leading the Chelsea squad and attack.

Manchester United? These people are not serious about winning right, and Osimhen wouldn't be taken seriously as they barely give them chances. He shouldn't think it's f Manchester United though I know it's actually his boyhood club as a kiddo. Gunner's would be nothing but perfect, I will love to see him go there too because they lack a natural striker and he could offer them that.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 07, 2024, 04:14:50 PM
According to some reports, Bayern Munich has more advantage in signing Xabi Alonso than Liverpool. There are also reports that Bayer Leverkusen has given the Spanish midfielder the green light to negotiate since there is a clause in his contract that permits that. We have not had any response from Xabi who has the ambition to win the Bundesliga the first time in the club's 120-year history and also lead his current club to the Champions League.

Quote
As we know, Thomas Tuchel has had a bad season with Bayern Munich so far and even lost all the titles that Bayern Munich should have won. The only thing he can prove is that he can win the Champions League this season with Bayern Munich, but even if Bayern Munich ends up being eliminated, of course the owner will want to replace him sooner rather than having to wait for the season to end. But what is clear is that it will not be easy to convince Xabi Alonso to join him at the end of the season or even next season and seeing his achievements this season, of course, he wants to continue with Leverkusen.

Based on my evaluation Thomas Tuchel didn't have a bad season with Bayern Munich. They might be ten points below the league leader but there are still chances for them to recover lost ground. Even if they come second in the league that's not a bad performance. The club has also qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals which is a commendable feat. Maybe the club's management expected more from the German but his contribution fell short of their expectations.

Right now it's Bayern Munich or nothing, going to Liverpool I think would be too early right now, he should gain more experience and try to also win the Champions League Competition with Bayern Munich only if he finally gets to sign up as them manager for the next season. The Premier League Competition is one tough place right now, I'm afraid they'll not be able to back up the manager, he'll have to work we ith the players left by Jurgen Klopp.

For Thomas Tuchel, I'd say that the standards of Bayern Munich from Pep Guardiola and Hansi Flick are not the same with Julian Nagelsmann towards his last few days with the club and the same I could say for Thomas Tuchel as manager of Bayern Munich. He also has bad relationship with players too quick and results to a fight in the dressing room. He should leave for good. I've seen he has interest managing Manchester United. But not a pretty good idea.
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 07, 2024, 03:47:49 PM
Barcelona's financial problems were the main cause of the club's decline. They do not have enough finances to keep Messi. They don't have enough money to buy themselves the world's top stars. They even have to sell their young stars to make some profit.

For an emerging team like Girona, such achievements are too impressive for a small team. Their players and finances are mediocre compared to the giants in La Liga. If they win this season, I don't know how Laliga giants will be criticized by fans in the press.

Yes, Atletico Madrid is always a stable team, in this tournament they are the only team that dares to compete for the championship with Barcelona and Real Madrid. If Barcelona always has erratic performance, Atletico Madrid surpassing them is unquestionable.

So far this season a new change has been seen, Yes? Girona has dominated, them both lose to Real Madrid during the both fixtures affected them hugely and they couldn't keep up with the pace set up by Real Madrid. But I still do commend them for putting up such a fight to show us strength when everyone thinks they're soft. It's been a great season for Girona even if they fail to win the Spanish League Competition this very season.

For Atletico Madrid, they've also won the league which is impressive to see in the last three to four years in La Liga. Diego Simeone do struggled but when he wants to win, he'll get it.

Barcelona's financial challenges has nothing to do with Lionel Messi leaving. He's left for good and that's final. Only if they really had the finance to back whatever they've got. Xavi Hernandez also shouldn't have lead the club to this state they're currently in.

Leverkusen is leading at the top of the league with many points ahead of the other teams; Bayern Munich is even in second place in the league, but Leverkusen is leading them with 10 points that are difficult to get; 10 points ahead of Bayern Munich is a sure opportunity that Leverkusen is winning the league title. I repeat: nothing is stopping Leverkusen from winning this season's Bundesliga title. Leverkusen is winning the Bundesliga title this season. If you were to say Bayern Munich hasn't lost many opportunities, I would say Leverkusen can't win it, but Bayern Munich has lost the opportunity and allowed Leverkusen to be ahead of them with many points. Leverkusen hasn't lost any games this season, not even in the Europa League.

Ad much as I want Bayern Leverkusen to win the league, they shouldn't be comfortable in the slightest way and make sure they buckle up.
It's just like Josep Pep Guardiola has said before now about Bayern Leverkusen, they're doing superb no doubts but then, the battle is not over, they have to he focused and not think they've already won the league with those ten points above Bayern Munich. Don't forget more two months and anything could still happen.

With the way Bayern Munich played against Lazio during the Champions League Competition few nights ago, they can as well bring that same energy and strength to play every game like it's the knockouts stage.
Most importantly more options for Thomas Tuchel to select from, he now has most of his first team players back from Injury. They should win the next game in Bundesliga League Competition.

Manchester City just satisfied the expectations by getting another comfortable result.  Smiley  Could it have been a bigger score? Yeah actually but Guardiola just wanted to rest significant amount of players in their usual lineup. I think he did the right thing by that as we think there is a crucial Liverpool game in the Premier League in a few days.  Wink

Real Madrid were indeed bad. I bet on them like so many to win the game. But unfortunately it didn't happen. Leipzig made huge difficulties for them in the meantime. Ancelotti and the fans all must be quite disappointed with what they saw despite reaching quarter finals. I also don't want to see this version of Real Madrid in next phase(s).

Real Madrid had defense issues Ann they're yet to solve that completely, as for Vinicius Junior, he should have been red carded for holding that player by his neck, that's not part of the rules of the game and should be looked at for further suspension. I'm afraid that will not happen, these officials tend to be bias lately. Glad they was able to secure themselves the move to the quarter finals. For now we await the results from next week before the next matchup of clubs.

Same Copenhagen that did make life difficult for Manchester United and also Bayern Munich even if Munich got to to finally win the game from.the group stage. This shows hoe much Manchester City are way above aome clubs.
I agree with the face that goals should have exceeded that number. But good win as they prepare for Liverpool at Anfield during the weekend.
