Girona performed too well in the first half of the season, while I'm not sure Girona can maintain their consistency in the second half of the season. Of course the fight for the title would be very good if Girona could maintain its performance, but Barcelona and Atletico Madrid also have the same desire to win the title.
I really doubt Girona, but I'm sure Barcelona will be a serious challenger for the title in the second half of this season. Xavi should already know what problems he has to solve for Barcelona, but he really needs full support from everyone, including fans and club management. Vitor Roque is a good addition to Barcelona's attack line in the second half of the season, he will probably be a tough competitor for Lewandowski who is starting to lose his sharpness and goal productivity.

Juventus is not a typical defensive team and they are much more attacking than Roma. We all know that this is an important opportunity for Juventus to immediately overtake Inter from the top of the standings and they don't have time to provide more defense than attack. Allegri knows what his team has to do in the next match and they will aim for full points rather than just one point against Roma.
I'm sure Juventus can do it, especially if Roma concedes first then that could be a strong signal that Juventus will win and will even score another goal. Roma will not be able to withstand Juventus' attacks even though they are known for their strong defense and it seems the results are already visible with the readiness of each of these teams.
They're the best defending club in all of La Liga this season, I don't know where you got this news from. If they can hold down the highest goal scorer for As Roma ( Romelu Lukaku ) then they can win that game since Dusan Vlahovic has begin to score goals back for Juventus. He currently has a total of six goals score in the league while Lukaku has eight goals scored. They're two of the hottest players to look out for during that game. Inter Milan are on another level, I don't see them declining, they're rather improving. Expecting a rise of Juventus could happen but Inter Milan have to lose a game or two before that happens. A coach will be able to bring out the best potential from a club if the club has players and a style of play that suits the coach. That doesn't mean that if you are very great as a coach at a club, it doesn't necessarily mean that you will be even greater if you coach a club with higher quality players. There are many factors such as the coach's approach to the players or how the coach manages the existing squad to be able to play with the expected tactics. I agree that Xabi is a great young coach at the moment but if he were to coach Real Madrid then it would be a different challenge.
Xabi Alonso can do that, but before moving to Real Madrid, I'd love to see him achieve something with Bayern Leverkusen so his achievements with the club will sound, talk and speak for him. Moving to Real Madrid won't be difficult if the President of Real Madrid really wants him around. I believe that Carlo Ancellotti has achieved a lot and it's time to see him part ways completely with Real Madrid. Chelsea are playing at their home today against Crystal Palace. I don't expect much from Chelsea. Their performance is very erratic. So I have refrained myself from betting on this match.
Chelsea's past record against Crystal Palace is very good. Chelsea last dropped points against Crystal Palace in 2017. Chelsea have won their last 12 matches against Palace. However, it is difficult to say whether Chelsea can continue this winning streak this season. Although Crystal Palace is a weak team, they will try to get 1 point by drawing in this match. So in essence, even though Leipzig are not the favorites, it is hoped that they can give a surprise, especially when they face Real Madrid in the round of 16. I think this is very normal and it is impossible for football to always run as usual. I also hope that Leipzig can give Real Madrid a tough match and if they can win in one of the legs it will certainly be a good achievement. I wonder when Bayern Munich are planning to make a contract extension offer to him. Because I believe he is still one of the most important players of the team. Barcelona have lost so many points recently. Their form in their last 5 league games is really poor which caused them to be left behind by Girona and Real Madrid more in points. In addition to that Atletico Madrid also have got ahead of them. Barcelona really need to make a big improvement in this form if they want to be a part of the title competition.
They can start by beating Las Palmas away next week. But I must admit that this isn't an easy task for them. Because if you remember Las Palmas beat Atletico Madrid home before. They have a potential to surprise Barcelona as well.
Xavi Hernandez will try to make things right when the second half of the season begins. Barcelona are good at giving time to their legends. A good example is Koeman who was worst than Xavi Hernandez, regardless of the poor performance and results he was still backed up by the management and given time to fix the club. It was obvious he wasn't the man for the club. Finishing on top of the league getting doubtful, but finishing top four would be possible to achieve. After a series of bad performance, Manchester City are slowly starting to drift further away from the top spot on the table. I think Pep Guardiola will need to lead Manchester City back to their dominating form in the English Premier League in order to catch up with Liverpool and Arsenal. We don't know bout that aspect of replacing Carlo Ancellotti yet! We be only suggesting and sharing opinions about it. He's gone round European Competitions and worked with the best. He's applying all that he knows to his lads. Carlo Ancellotti had also said he is hundred percent focused on his job with Real Madrid. It'll all make sense at the end of the season come May. I would agree though, he's yet to win the world cup with the any of the international or national clubs out there. Bayern Munich are hungry lions, the be mounting enough pressure on Bayern Leverkusen. Anyways, I'll still love them to win.. |
