To tell the truth I don't see Aston Villa in any championship race now. To tell the truth Emery has done much more than the expectations so far. But in my opinion the most they can do is to finish the season in top four which is also going to be quite tough as long as Tottenham keep up with them. But of course Aston Villa board didn't put their expectation level to the PL title so no problem for them. 

As for Arsenal I also don't believe in them to be in this race. They started to get inconsistent recently and became the same old Arsenal we know again. They just can't keep up with especially Manchester City while doing this. I think the same against Liverpool too.

I predict the following teams will make it through to the round of 16, namely:

Galatasaray, Roma, Milan, Benfica, Marseille, Sporting, Braga, Lens

The only match that might require better consideration is Roma vs Feyenoord, because in my opinion it seems quite evenly matched in terms of strength. Bayern Munich had a whole lot of chance not to only equalize but to aswell lead the game but this .ay have been one of those unlucky days that most teams eventually face and will really find it difficult regardless of the team they are playing against at that time. They may be playing a weak team but if happens on your bad day trust me you aren't going to get a goal regardless of how much effort you put into winning such games. Leverkusen are just looking Lucky as the tension will gradually slow down with the recent space they are giving their immediate team behind them.

Super Eagles will be facing their last opponent in the current AFCON going on in Ivory Coast and this is a game that will determine if the Eagles will qualify or not with just 4pt and sitting at 2nd position which is not too comfortable at the moment with the host at 3rd place to face the group leaders Equatorial Guinea.
The Super Eagles have no excuse to give if they don't win this game against Guinea Bissau because they (Guinea Bissau) are the weakest nation in that group and every other teams who play against them are sure of securing all 3pt.
For the host nation I don't see them going into this encounter against Equatorial Guinea as one easy game, it would be a do or die affair, they host nation need a win and nothing less than that, same goes to the Super Eagles, because as it stands Ivory Coast and Nigeria are the favorite to win that group or qualify from that group but now they (Ivory Coast and Nigeria) find themselves in a complicated situation.
Who are coming out from this group?

It was a really convincing win indeed. In Salah's absence people were wondering what Liverpool were going to do in the games without him. The Bournemouth game was an easy one on paper and Liverpool showed it to us by a solid gameplay. Nunez and Jota scored two goals each to destroy their opponent by 4-0. 

I'm quite happy for Nunez to score here. Because he really needed some push to improve his performance. This must have made a good impact on his self-confidence. While Salah is away Nunez has more responsibility to keep the scoring productivity at a good level.

When small teams like Girona starts their season excellently everyone always expects them to drop in performance after a few games or most likely after the end of the 1st leg of the season but in this case Girona doesn’t seem like they are slowing down anytime soon. They have been excellent and have been giving Real Madrid a strong challenge and even though they eventually lose the title to Madrid i think they deserve our respect for the performance so far.

Sevilla on the other hand are not so impressive this season, they are struggling in the La Liga and the Champions League they were eliminated out of the Champions League and couldn’t make it the Europa league this time around and if they don’t improve their performance they could see themselves in the relegation zone and could get themselves relegated if care is not taken.

Juventus has been outstanding this season and I think they deserve to be at the top of the season. Leece held Juventus until they lost some composure in the second half and the first goal opened doors for more goals. But we need to give Juventus credit for intensifying the attacks until they got the goal. Leece has not won a game in five games and they need to improve if they will at least avoid relegation.

However, Juventus' first position might be shortlived because Inter Milan still has one outstanding game against Fiorentina. A win will make Inter to top the league with about two points. The Italian league is now competitive because these two top clubs have what it takes to win the league. But Fiorentina will not be an easy team to win. They have not won any match in two games so they will be putting more effort into winning the game against Inter Milan.   

It looks like Ivan Toney isn't leaving Brentford just yet. Because some sources say that he has decided to stay at least until the end of the season. Chelsea and Arsenal have been the most interested teams in him recently and they will have to wait for a little more then. But will it be worth the wait? I think yeah, definitely. 

Because Toney is a very capable striker you know. He was a great scorer before getting the lasting punishment. Now he is back in action and he already scored a goal in his last game. He is definitely a good alternative for some bigger teams at the moment.

PSG struggled but they have this high spirit of bouncing back to winning shape but it's quite different for them in major tournaments, they don't have the credibility of aiming for elite tournaments other than settling for domestic league which have become a season routine for them. PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi should enforced new rules if he's keen on making the team better, he should allow the players that doesn't develop any ambition for the team to leave and focused on the young players that would be more promising in the future.

And Juventus have taken the lead! It was a quite comfortable game against Lecce as I expected. There is a significant level of improvement in finishing skills at this team these days. We saw that against Lecce as well after winning by 3-0. Vlahovic had a really solid day by scoring two goals by the way. He is seen as a valuable player for the team now and it might not be easy for other teams to sign him.

I remember the time Juventus were keen on a probable deal for Vlahovic once. Now he is in a completely different situation. He is actually a capable striker. He just didn't have an ideal season the last time. He is quite likely to score many more goals this season. 

Artem Dovbyk could be one of rising star striker since he scored 14 goals from 22 matches, that's a good record. His market value is only 18 Million Euros, that's cheap and every big clubs afford that.

Surprisingly Torres can scored a hat-trick for Barcelona when his performance was really poor, moreover Real Betis was a known have a good defensive strategy.

That's a sign we need to bet over 4.5 goals.

Happy to see Nunez can give many contributions recently, many people saying Nunez is flop, but this is Klopp bro, he knows to sign a good player. If Nunez can play so good for the next matches, Liverpool don't need to rely on Salah anymore.
