Arsenal is like a club that has been hit by a curse, at important moments Arteta squad often loses points. wasted opportunities, and overall I agree with you that Arsenal doesn't seem to have learned much from last season's mistakes. I think a player mentality also has a big influence in overcoming challenges, Arteta must emphasize this side to be able to continue competing for the EPL trophy.
Arsenal is such a big team right now, many people expect a lot from them that any time they lose their game it becomes a very big topic and people exaggerate it a lot to make it look like they have failed. I don't think it is abnormal for them to lose a few games especially when it is a against a very good opponent like West Ham who we know can be a turn on the flesh of bigger teams. If Arsenal had lost to the bottom three teams, I would see it as abig fail, but West Ham is not a bad team. Liverpool comfortably proceeed to next year as first on the league.

I'm not a gunner fan but you should see how I support them lately. ( my reasons could be biased though ) I don't want Pep Guardiola winning because he's been bragging enough recently and he has been talking like Jose Mourinho does to other coaches. I hope they  win the Premier League because if he don't, it'll be another twenty years until they finally win the Premier League, it'll be difficult for them to win.

Arteta has things to do too much if he wants to win the Premier, pressing for new set of midfielder's. The Entire squad are tired and they need another setif players to arrest them.

Incredible, Napoli managed to lose 2points once again.

1-1 for Inter after 1st half,  and according to X, Inter did another robbery.

Nkw it's so difficult for them to open Genoa who's both attacking and defending the game. Slight mistakes could happen and Genoa would take good use of the chances they have.
They're winning these balls in midfied but haven't done anything good with the ball honestly. The inter Milan midfielder's are now frustrated because they're not getting full and complete dominance of the game tonight at most the second half of the game.

Former Borrussia Dortmund goalkeeper who's now Inter Milan goalkeeper is doing a wonderful job for the league leaders. The game could end up as a draw if not careful.

I dont think about betting on the Juventus match so as not to bring bad luck, so my bets today are these.

  • Napoli - Monza i will bet on Napoli
  • Genoa - Inter Milan i will bet on Inter Milan
  • Atalanta BC - Lecce i will bet on Atalanta BC
  • AC Milan - Sassuolo i will bet on AC Milan

Napoli already ended, how do you expect them to scored without Victor Oshime who was red carded in the last game they played in the Seria A against As Roma.
Monza should be the happiest because they got to squeeze a point out of this game against the defending Champions of Seria A.

Inter Milan are the better side of them both but they should get tough game since Genoa would definitely be at home during this game.

Atalanta should win honestly, they was the best side against Bologna during the last game, they should have won the game Ademola Lookman did very well to help them will.
1464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 29, 2023, 06:47:30 PM
This system is definitely more interesting, because the teams that qualify for the quarterfinals will be drawn again and thus, no one really knows which team they will face next. But ya,regarding Bayern Munich in this round of 16 I think it is clear, that Bayern Munich will probably easily win too. Because ya, considering the opponent to be faced in this round of 16 is Lazio and ya, at least Lazio in this season also does not really have good results in Serie A, Because Lazio very different from last season.

Anyway, Bayern Munich clearly has better quality than Lazio because ya, Bayern Munich is always in and plays in the Champion League every season. Therefore, Bayern Munich certainly has better quality and mentality than Lazio and thus, it might be easy for Bayern Munich to beat Lazio later.

I must say that the clubs from the Italian leagues have do well in the various Competitions I mean European Competitions this season that means that nobody should look down on em even if them opponents are stronger.
Bayern Munich anyways have bigger chances of winning the Champions League. We all know how they're preparing hard from the Bundesliga to Champions League.
Sarri and his side have dropped a good form this season, they are not the club to hold down Bayern Munich honestly.

So many clubs are preparing very well, this Champions League is hard to predict, I doubt Pep Guardiola can be able to repeat what they did last season. Winning the treble is something that happens once in a long time.
1465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 29, 2023, 06:23:40 PM
Snip.

This is good news to Real Madrid and an unpleasant one for the Brazilian National team. There were speculations that Carlo Ancelotti would be joining Seleção Canarinha next year, but this news has ended these rumours. I was sceptical about the news because  I don't see any reason why Real should be worried about signing Xabi Alonso. The Italian tactician has not been doing badly in both the La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, so they shouldn't be in a haste to sack the coach. He deserves to even have a longer contract because Real will be happy to keep him. Many clubs will be willing to sign Ancelotti immediately if he is allowed to leave the Los Blancos. There is no guarantee that Xabi Alonso will perform well in Real Madrid, after all, Erik ten Hag was successful at Ajax but is struggling at Manchester United.
If these rumors are true, Real Madrid are so satisfied with Ancelotti's performance that they have signed him with a new contract. Ancelotti's contract extension at Real Madrid is bad news for the Brazilian national team, which really wants to bring in Ancelotti. Another reason Real Madrid does not want to immediately part ways with Ancelotti is because his departure will have an effect on the team's performance.
It looks like Xabi Alonso will continue with Bayer Leverkusen if Ancelotti stays at Real Madrid, this is also very good for Xabi Alonso in expanding his experience as a coach.

The news already calms down the speculations of Carlo Ancellotti moving out of the club. I also had the feeling he has won enough tittles with the club level and that it's enough time to see him leaving for a much younger but Perez and the Don had a much different thought. They'll achieve and win more Champions League with him even with these young lads.

Xabi Alonso would do well and same with Erik Ten. They're coaches that knows how to manage younger players. We've seen from Ajax and the other right now from Xabi Alonso.
He could go ahead to win the German Bundesliga League Competition for the first time with them.

Deal done for Hugo Lloris to MLS (LAFC):
The deal between Hugo Lloris and LAFC has been done, and now Hugo Lloris will sign the one-year deal with LAFC, plus options to extend for next year. At present, the date has not been fixed, but it is certain that Hugo Lloris will leave Tottenham after 11 years. This quite long time that he spent with English gained Tottenham. In 11 seasons, the 37-year-old Frenchman has made 477 appearances. since 2012, and in 11 seasons also, he got 151 clean sheets. The 38-year-old French and Spurs goalkeeper will now be part of Los Angeles FC. I really love Hugo Llories's play; he is quite a good goalkeeper, and his diving style is impeccable and majestic. But in life, age is a factor that makes a person stand on this stage where he can't bless life with these memories again. Anyway, Hugo Lloris will now play in the MLS as a new destination for the next season, hoping that he will maintain a similar performance in the MLS in Los Angeles.

What do the rest of you guys think? Is it good for Hugo Lloris to go to the MLS or not? Should he have gone to Saiudi Arabia? Share your opinion with us.

Eleven years and he didn't win a trophy with em? Playing for Tottenham Hotspur is something else but this is a player that love the fans and club. It was a nice eleven years only that he didn't win the Premier League Competition the year Tottenham Hotspur came so close to winning the league. He got to win the World Cup during his stay with the club though.

Eric Bailey, Meanwhile had also terminated his contract with Besiktas, I don't think it's a year already with that club. He should leave for Saudi Arabia if I'll advice. Villarreal in Spanish League has been the club leading the chase for the former Manchester United defender.

David De Gea should make a switch to on of these Spanish clubs and not back to Manchester United not even Newcastle United.

Maybe now Liverpool is worthy enough to  compete with Man City and prove who won the trophy.
Liverpool is definitely in the title race, what i like most about their title charge this season is how they have gone about it with little to no noise, at the start of the season everyone was looking at City and Arsenal only, and too many people were not giving Liverpool a chance at the title, maybe because of how bad they were last season. Having said that, Liverpool have proved that they can still challenge for the title, and yes they can win it, though imo City are my favorites to win the title and Liverpool would come second.
Now that Liverpool have a good squad, the title race will definitely continue and whoever will win the EPL title is still difficult to guess, even though Arsenal lost yesterday they will not slump, they will gain points in the next match.

I think Liverpool will have even tighter competition, even in the past if I'm not mistaken Arsenal peaked higher by a point difference but at the end of the season Arsenal experienced shocks to often lose and were overtaken by Manchester City who became champions, but this time I think Liverpool can win the title. That's just my guess. Cheesy

Not too good like the one they had when they won the Premier League and Champions League. Currently they are just having only one of the wings working effectively and that's from Mo Salah. He'll be out for the African Cup of Nations Competitions and when that happens, I'll love to see how they cope without Salah. Can Elliott, Jones and Diaz do the job?!

They have Thiago Alcantara returning mid January and that'll make their midfied stronger. Arsenal had the chance to go top but they literally waisted the opportunity. Arsenal management needs to invest some new set of players in the transfer window.
1468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 29, 2023, 03:57:48 PM
in the end, as I had foreseen and predicted, the Italian winter champion will be Inter, in its obstacle-free race towards the Scudetto
I really believe he can win the Scudetto, the only way he can lose it is to go back to being the Inter he always was and losing in a stupid way
but I don't think it will happen

Club's who are meant to be challenging em for the Scudetto Competition are not in a good form to challenge them very well. It's just Juventus doing their best to make sure that follow them up but are still not having a good enough attacking side who can help them score the necessary goals needed. They talk too much about Dusan Vlahovic but believe me he is not the man for them. They should kindly sell him off.

If Inter Milan will not be affected with injuries and they continue with thus form, then they can go ahead to win. The Champions League would definitely add and mount pressure on these players. I hope they don't get fatigued and break down.

PSV always get the points when playing at home (UEFA CLQ, UCL).
From their last 5 games at home (UEFA CLQ, UCL), they won 3 times with 2 draws.

Because PSV playing at home, Dortmund will be the underdog in terms of the odds.
PSV might get 3 points from this match, they will not play defense because draw or lose = problems when they visit Dortmund later.

I don't trust the bookmakers, they can be very wrong if you don't think for yourselves and follow your intuitions. PVS I followed to an extent during the games played in the group stage they didn't do well like they're being hyped honestly. Borrussia Dortmund also didn't do so well but you see this game? They're not losing this round to PSV.

Bayern Munich are also hot sides in this Competition, they have another experience coach but I don't think they can still win the Champions League with this kind of players.

Manchester City has also declined... You don't need be told. Pep Guardiola is only playing mind games with his mouth. His squad has heavily declined like they was last season.

Saudi teams started sending offers for another team and player and this time they want to hire Hakan Çalhanoğlu from Inter Milan.
Currently, Inter Milan is in the first place often Serie A and they are in a good situation, also they are hoping to win the CHmpoainos Lague title as they couldn't do that in the last season that's why they prefer to keep their players to have more chances.
Hakan Çalhanoğlu is definitely an effective player in Inter Milan and he played in 17 games for Iner Milan he scored 7 goals and 3 assists for the team.
He got an offer from Al Hial with an 18 million euro salary but he is not going to leave Inter Milan.

https://sempreinter.com/2023/12/28/hakan-calhanoglu-resisted-lucrative-al-hilal-offer-to-remain-at-inter-milan/

He's been a good contribution to the success of Inter Milan's attacking football. At the end of the season might be a good idea to see him leaving but not this January Transfer Window. They're not in a good place to win the Champions League, maybe you wanted saying they're in q good place to win the Scudetto Competition since they're currently top of the league bwithnfour points above Juventus who are also trailing em.

Congratulations to Carlo Ancellotti for he won't be moving outta Real Madrid. The only thing that will see him leave would be if he fails to do a good job with the current Real Madrid squad.
We all thought Xabi Alonso would be the next man for that job.

Real Madrid is about to enter the period where they could technically sign Mbappe. That means PSG will have a player that they know will leave, not sure if they will even play him, maybe they will just send him to B squad and just make him train there and not use him. Not like they are going to lose the league anyway, they will win the league even without him for sure, and the only thing that will matter will be UCL and not like they are winning with a player who already signed with another team.

Real should be careful though, they are getting a left winger, like Vini Jr., and yes Mbappe could play striker as well, but he "could" play it, not that his main position is that. Lets see what the salary will look like, hopefully not huge.

Yeah Mbappe will be available for free transfer by January however I don't think either Real Madrid will go for him quickly or Mbappe will accept a possible offer right away. Because I mean it is only halfway through the season. I don't think Mbappe would like to make big decisions in such a time period.

Real Madrid must also be aware of this fact that I don't expect them to try hard in January. But in the next summer I'm quite confident about them to make a solid contract offer to him and leave the final decision to Mbappe. PSG will also try to keep him longer at the team in the meantime but I think Mbappe's decision could be to leave this time.

If Real Madrid do not want him, then he should make moves elsewhere, a move to Barcelona would also make sense if they can be able to pay his salary. It won't be possible because they recently signed a new striker and also having Jaoa Felix would make that difficult for them to achieve. He didn't make the switch to Real Madrid when they wanted him, so they no longer want him now.

PSG cannot hold down Kylian Mbappe to stay longer than he wants. This is not the team he will want to work with to win the Ballon d'or. The next decisions he makes will determine how his career would be.
1472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 29, 2023, 01:36:07 PM
Saka flop in this match, he shots for 9 times and there's no goal he can score, while the other strikers only shots for 3-4 times.

Arsenal can't always depend on him, he was not as good as Salah. Arsenal wasn't perform in this season, they're just lucky enough to reach top standings. But in the long run and consistency, Arsenal doesn't have it.

Even before this game he has flopped hugely. Asides that, the entire squad looks fatigued, stressed and tired. I think Mikel Arteta us making the same mistake from last season this season. They'll need to sign players, they need support, infact he makes useif the same set of players from last season with the same pattern.
The pattern works for him but it's now predictable and everyone knows how he starts. They should sign up new players when the new season begins.

Dusan Vlahovic not good enough for the wing. I don't even know how they compare Saka with Mo Salah. They're not lucky, Arsenal have earned them position to wherever they're currently.
1473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 28, 2023, 11:44:24 PM
I'm guessing this is one of the funnier Premier League of the last decade.

Debacle for Arsenal and Spurs, I think Guardiola will win again in the end.
While it might be easy to make that assumption based on what befall both league leaders today, I would say I’ve had to endure even worst from Manchester City and without E. Haaland in Manchester City now, the team haven’t been making much exploit and without making him seem way much important, he didn’t really do much in his last 3games.

Still, it was an interesting game week and watch on how both league leaders were beaten to a 2 goal difference. While West Ham United was able to manage and keep a clean sheet, Brighton Hove Albion couldn’t help it.

Is Haaland still injured and is it know for how long he will be out? I thought he had recovered already during the FIFA Club World Cup, but it seems that Guardiola doesn't want to risk anything and give him more time to make sure he doesn't start early and get this injury break out again. But Manchester City is still a very respectable team without him. Alvarez is a great player who is able to score from lots of positions and without any big issues. He is one of the most important City players I think. But when Haaland is back, they are definitely a stronger team with him.

Both Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland are back running on the pitch and grass but Pep Guardiola has decided not to rush them back into the squad immediately.
I read and saw them return during that game before the finals they won. I think he's doing the right thing since they're both two important players for him and for the squad.

Let's see if he can go back on top since all clubs have decided to fumble when it mattered most. Arsenal in particular, I don't have much to say about them.
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: December 28, 2023, 11:25:54 PM
So Steven Gerard only reaching1 point against the last team and the worst one of the league? Plus in home condition?. I dont really know why they dont expell him from the charge of main coach.

They have 4 super higg level players, Jordan Henderson, Wijnaldum, Dembele, and Gray, you cant do this bad with that names.

Just like the name Wayne Rooney, you'll have to understand that he is not a good coach and has nothing much to offer. The club he's managing should access the situation and do something better.
Take a look back at how he did with Aston Villa, you cannot tell me he is a good tactician. Some of these legends are stubborn. Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard are all flops, they should work with sound coaches to get experience. Take a good look at Mikel Arteta, he worked with Pep Guardiola and learnt a lot.

Jordan Henderson and Wijnaldum are all dead woods. Liverpool already made good use of the energy they have. Let's hope he brings in improvements otherwise, Crap!!

In tonight's match, two North London teams received crushing and embarrassing defeats.
Tottenham had to go home empty-handed without full points from Brighton with a score of 4-2
Meanwhile, Arsenal was humiliated by West Ham United at home with a score of 0-2

And I didn't expect West Ham United to be able to beat Arsenal at home without a goal, and if you look at Arsenal's track record playing at home they always win. And in the match against West Ham United Arsenal were very bad and their performance was not as usual, they had difficulty scoring goals at home.

They was really compact when defending the ball, they made good use of the corner to seal the game from Arsenal's former defender who was sent out to the hammer's.
Declan Rice also gave out and calculated a ball wrongly which lead to penalty but they failed to score. Raya not getting complemented because they lost the game.

Only if Arsenal had a good goalscorer, then they should have won the game tonight. Gabriel Jesus should have converted the both headers but he failed to do that.

I know the qualities of Kylian Mbappe but right now, Real Madrid are more interested in the signature of Mason Greenwood who have seen a rise in his performance even if he hasn't scored too many goals. They're not focused son working with the French Captain for now.
They have said it not the first time or second that they won't be making a move to sign the lad, now or immediately his contract comes to an end finally.

Both Camavinga and Vinicius Junior shoulda been back before the Champions League actions begins.

Real Madrid have performed without some big names this season due to Injury and they'll do same do same ahead. Most importantly is the high need for a natural striker. Joselu not really good enough.
1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 28, 2023, 10:30:23 PM
If Arsenal can succeed to sign a world class defender like Matthijs de Ligt, then it'll be a great addition to the current squad and would further increase their chances of winning an English Premier League title at the end of the season. Right from his days at Ajax before he was transferred to Juventus and now Bayern Munich, de Ligt is one defender that possesses the leadership qualities of marshaling out the defense line of any team he's playing in abd if he can be convinced to come to.the Emirates stadium, then it'll surely be a great signing for them.

That being said, I think it'll not be easy for such deal to go through as Bayern Munich are currently in need of defenders. Benjamin Pavard is currently injured and that's why the club wouldn't want to release de Ligt

Maybe you want Arsenal to get him signed up and turn the lad to another Per Mertersaker ? I mean the German defender who turned flop for em scoring series'of own goals for em?! Lol Grin

I don't see him headed for Arsenal truly. He should remain with Bayern Munich because theya big winning side. He can leave successfully when he sees a side that wants him just like they did.
Arsenal already had Gabriel and Salina one of the neatest defenders I've seen in the Premier League Competition lately. They're doing well and won't be out for no Afcon, so why go for a position that's not important?
1478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 28, 2023, 10:19:48 PM
In my opinion Rudi Garcia was never a great coach as he never made it big into Europe and now that is gone from Napoli , my faith in this team is restored once again and I do hope they will have a decent run in UCL and maybe with a bit of luck they can hold top 4 in Serie A as well because finishing under 4th as ex champions doesn't look good at all.
Although he was never winning UCL, UEL, or top league titles but he ever won titles in French competitions with Lille in 2010-2011. Sure, it is just local competition in French. However, we should appreciate the achievement, it is not easy to win the domestic competition in French with Lille.

Well, for Napoli, I also expect that they can finish the season in UCL zone again. So, they can join the UCL competition in the next season. However, it seems harder for this season to get the ticket of UCL because they must compete with Roma, Fiorentina, and Bologna. These teams look having a better performance, meanwhile Napoli played very unstable now.

Rudi Garcia won the League with Lillie? I'm like honestly reading this for the very first time, I never had the idea he was in charge of them .
He didn't do well amd had issues with the big names around the club. Failing to manage the big names is such a bad thing. He played poorly in the domestic league games and it affected how they played in the Champions League. Good he was sacked. In between, Walter Mazzari is not a good fit for Napoli, he can't take them back into the top four with this kind of game played.

Tough game between Juventus and As Roma, they'll either win or draw. I don't doubt Jose Mourinho as a coach but it'll be difficult beating the Old Ladies. Allegri already has the experience for such challenges and games.

In today's game against West Ham, it has occurred once more. Another game was called off, another VAR issue, but they refuse to consider it. I'm not sure why, whenever this happens to Arsenal, they always refuse to consider them. Nonetheless, we have hope for Arsenal because I noticed something that the West Ham first goal only came by an luck way. Let watch and see Since certain goals for Arsenal usually occur in the second half, let's see how the second half plays out.

Seems like the gunners must have partied and drank too much. I don't like how they've take this game so soft especially at home where they have not lost a good number of five games. I'm keeping my fingers crossed if they can finally comeback into the game to win or at least draw the game amd share a point. London derbis are like this, you'll either get to win or lose so prepare, the best side must definitely win the game at the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur are really bottlers, so they think scoring two goals will help them get back into the game against Brighton? They're fucked up completely tonight.

The Var has really spoiled football in the Premier League. The above decision approval is a huge mess.

Arsenal have taken an interest in Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt:
The English side Arsenal are trying to figure out how to sign Dutch and Bayern Munich center Back Matthijs de Ligt, but the move will be unlikely in the January not in summer transfer window. Arsenal already have good players in defense, such as W.Saliba, Gabriel, etc., but I think they are trying to improve it more. Currently Arsenal are in first place in the league table and still hold first place, as well as dominating the English Premier League competition. But let's see if Arsenal beat West ham tonight so they will again take first place because they played fewer matches than Liverpool.

At the end of this, I assumed that if Arsenal signed Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich so I think there would be no better defense than Arsenal in English Premier League competition because 24-year-old Matthijs de Ligt is one of the best center-backs, and he has such a good mentality to understand other defenders and stop the attack. But let's see what happens next. Share your opinion with us, guys.

https://twitter.com/TransferNewsCen/status/1740402416191668499?t=EHnDhBb98bHhi_ByFN4kUQ&s=19]

Wanting to sell another defender when they haven't replaced Benjamin Pavard already? What's the plan of Bayern Munich honestly? I don't understand.
Though I've seen that they have plans to sign Rapheal Varane. This is a player committed towards staying with Manchester United I don't know what Thomas Tuchel wants. Varane already aged and I don't think he'll give them the hundred percent they'll be wanting from him.

For Arsenal, they shouldn't make mistake with chase of much defenders, they need a central forward amd that's Ivan Toney. Why invest to get another defender when you'll be seeing Timber return?
