so i guess theres more room for competition then, but bitcoin had 6 years though to be exposed to mainstream though no?

Ask 20 people if they have even a basic concept of what bitcoin is I'm betting 18 or more won't have a clue. It's very far from mainstream. If online fiat gamblers understood the benefit of using bitcoin vs. fiat we could easily be looking at multi-billion dollar a year industry. Give it time, need to have the market mature as right now it's a bunch of smart people that have no idea how to market. Though from what I'm hearing some upcoming casino's are about to change that.
642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Start a Gambling Site on: April 24, 2015, 10:05:21 PM
The only reason it seems saturated is because it's not mainstream yet. Bitcoin gambling And casinos are just infants compared with wider adoption. There is much room to grow but it won't do that with just our little community. The real winners will announce to us as a favor not as a money maker. Most people on bitcointalk just want free money they could give a crap about supporting the furthering of the bitcoin gambling ecosystem. 98% of users on this forum are too poor to support a strong money making casino.

Big thanks to coinbuzz.com for their review: 9/10

how will we know which casino OPs work with MP?

Due to the nature of this system it will be clearly marked on each announcement/marketing thread that they are part of the Moneypot.com gaming service. We are looking forward to launching our games with this site early next month, get ready for a fun month of May!

I look forward to it anything related to Ryan and moneypot has always been worth checking out. I knew this whole idea would take off after reading that guys post that explained this a page or 2 back.

Hopefully things start moving, just needs a good push.
646  Economy / Gambling / Re: The new MoneyPot.com -- A bitcoin gambling wallet on: April 19, 2015, 11:02:40 PM
If the casino is covering some bets itself and passing others to moneypot, doesn't that increase the potential for the casino cheating?

Presumably there would be two sets of seeds (in-house, and moneypot) and the site gets to choose which set of seeds to use for each bet, giving them two chances to win each bet.

Another option: if a casino wanted to hedge some of their bets against MP they could still *always* use seeds. Only as an internal implementation detail decide how much of that risk themselves to take. That keeps things simple for the user as there is only a single seed to verify.

In reality though, I think most casinos are much better off just placing all bets against MPs bankroll. It keeps things simple for everyone, and the sort of bets a casino would want to back themselves are already the most profitable ones using the MP system anyway. If the 50-50 profit split is too onerous and you're thinking of backing some of the bets, get in contact with me and I can move that split more in your favor (as I've already done for 1 new casino)

That makes sense looking forward to the future of this company.

it would be very interesting to see the hedge option in real time what I mean is how an OP can hedge a few high bets and hold the other bets himself.

If the casino is covering some bets itself and passing others to moneypot, doesn't that increase the potential for the casino cheating? Presumably there would be two sets of seeds (in-house, and moneypot) and the site gets to choose which set of seeds to use for each bet, giving them two chances to win each bet.

I guess that could be counteracted by declaring up front "we will pass all bets with a potential profit of more than X to moneypot", but that's not ideal.

Unless they are making it simple on themselves and just having devs deposit in MoneyPot to cover any change in the betting system. This isn't even a factor or issue then.
648  Economy / Gambling / Re: The new MoneyPot.com -- A bitcoin gambling wallet on: April 19, 2015, 06:08:37 AM
Ryan, I think there should be a simple feature to copy an address to clipboard. That way, we wouldn't have to make sure that we have copy/pasted correctly.

Also, has the API been released yet? I can't find it on the site.

Copy to clipboard is a good idea it will be good to see more games too when they get released.
649  Economy / Gambling / Re: The new MoneyPot.com -- A bitcoin gambling wallet on: April 15, 2015, 07:19:16 AM
If I understand this correctly Ryan.... you created a more secure place {Vault} to store coins, used on APPs and services linked to it, in a central location?

Did you do this, due to the lack of security you might have had, with the funds you kept at the old "MoneyPot" game? and you expanded this service to incorporate future projects and also willing partners with their Apps and services to keep it funded?

I am in the process to test it out for myself and will give my feedback and comments soon.  Wink

In short, ryan is making this as a gambling bitcoin wallet . the different than the ordinary wallet is that, the funds can be only use in a sites that has intergrated with the vault.
Not that the old "moenypot" got some security issue, but mainly because ryan wanted to created a system which will protect the player from a mailicious or unfair sites, since every sites that intergrated with the vault will be provably fair, otherwise if they cheat, you can know it directly

What do you mean by funds only can be used on sites that have integrated the vault? How does the vault know which addresses come from which gambling sites? Does it use API?

let me rephrase it once more

your funds in there can be used as a usual transaction to someone else or another sites
By actually mentioning another sites is that the sites which is not integrated with the vault

In easy words,

A is opening a dice sites and promote it here in bitcointalk, since it is a new sites, no one trust the sites with their deposits.
A then considering to intergrate the sites with the vault.
The benefit will be that A's dice sites is proven to be provably fair, since the vault will notify that if a site is not provably fair and also the your funds will never be on the possesion of A unless you lose them.

Well This is how the system on the vault is, at least it is what I think it is

for better explanation, see up dooglus post about this

As I understand it, one of the selling points of MoneyPot is that the gambling sites you deposit to using it never get access to the coins you deposit unless you lose them, and so players don't need to trust new gambling sites which use MoneyPot, they only need to trust you. As the player loses coins on a MoneyPot-linked gambling site the player's balance (at MoneyPot) is debited and the site's balance (at MoneyPot) is credited. To get their coins the gambling site requests a withdrawal from their MoneyPot account.

This idea is extremely good in essence moneypot.com is creating a casino conglomerate which is very neat.

The faq does a good job explaining everything except how an investment is paid out, does it go in your balance?
How often? Assuming traffic picks up.

What section of the wallet will gains go too?

Please clarify this portion of the investor section when you get the chance.

What would be a good bankroll to start with to make decent profit with this??
I found decent gains with anything equivalent to 0.75 btc+

Put in 0.55 I tried to go with less but it makes a big difference in random payments and random referrals gained. Basically if you're thinking you'll make money without investing your chances are very slim So it's in everyone's best interest to hit it hard.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: For sale: C.A.T. Trading bot below cost. on: April 02, 2015, 10:08:46 PM
Beware the trading bot links or tool or download. I have stolen nearly 8 BTC when clicking on links that contain malware in Trollbox of Poloniex Exchange

The name of it is: "Trading Bot" software download

Luckily this bot is from Sampey and has loads of good rep +after purchase will come from him directly.
This is the same bot that costs 0.6 BTC from here as stated in the OP https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=507103.0
The bot License is transferred to your bitcointalk account and ALL rights and future updates are delivered and catered to you the new owner.

Only 0.4 btc and this license is good for the life of the bot.

still for sale.

Don't forget that without new deposits we will not have random bonuses.
Today I made 10 deposits of 100k instead of 1 deposit of 0.01BTC (to the account 788)
I want to make a little happier as many people as I can Smiley

Good idea I'll start splitting. Mine up too
660  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: CryptoPyramid.com! Brand new Bitcoin Pyramid! on: March 28, 2015, 04:06:57 PM
I suggested this for BitcoinPyramid too, but it was never done.

I'm not good enough at coding to do it myself, or i would.

Make a second site where the primary focus is the ads.
allow people to invest in multi-level profits to the ads

the database between both sites would be shared, and everything works the same, but the ads are shown as the front page.

I came across someone who had seen my referral link to the bitcoinpyramid site, that said they would play the game, and could get many others to play if the focus was shifted in the other direction.

Sounds interesting. I'd like to see the first 10 accounts depositing too on the pyramid.  Very slim on the investment at the top and those have already 30x their initial invest.

OP are you still promoting this? It's a baby and needs active promo.

The ad idea is interesting, although I don't think we'll implement it in the near future.  However, we might come back to the concept further down the road.

In terms of promotion, we are still trying, although now that we have over 800 members, the pyramid should begin to promote itself.  We are still managing this BitcoinTalk page, and are still working on our Twitter page.  However, our marketing team doesn't have many other ideas.  If you know where we could effectively promote our pyramid, please let us know!

Here's your investment assuming you have one account.  http://cryptopyramid.com/member?id=1
take some of the 28x gains and run a signature campaign.  Those often work very well. Reinvest some into random people in the pyramid now and then. All these things in the first 2 months are crucial to foundation of the Site.
These are just constructive ideas if you want to go from sorta success to making this rain on us all.
